He has been biding his time so he can make Amy his forever. Swoon! It made him relies that he is not happy with where he was in his life. Let the games begin. And the seduction of Amy Morgan!
Loved everything about this story. The caring man that gives to others especially the sick children. Swoon! The witty and flirty banter, that was so hot! Swoon! The secrets to push Amy into his arms and the build up to the glorious moment when Amy wants him. Swoon! The chemistry between these two is sizzling! Swoon! Swoon!

Loved this story so much! Couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. Love your style Jess Dee! Highly Recommended!

A man with a plan can prove to a dangerous man. Amy longs for someone to love. However, her track record has made her afraid of the risk. The one person she has always been able to count on is her best friend Daniel. She consistency in her life and she doesn't do well with change. Daniel has broken his share of hearts but his plans for Amy have permanent written all over them. I love the friends to lovers plot but found the story predictable.
I give this book 3.5 stars. The writing was well done, and the sexy times were great, but I just wasn't very enamored of the heroine, and it made it so I almost didn't care about her in the end.
Daniel is a photographer, and he's been in love with his best friend since they were teenagers. He was doing a photography project recently at a children's hospital, and it made him realize he's only living half a life, without admitting to Amy how he feels. But, he knows if he just outright tells her, she'll run, so he comes up with a plan.
Amy is a counselor at a fertility clinic. She's got daddy issues, and has a wall around her heart a mile tall, especially after she caught her last, live-in, boyfriend cheating on her. Daniel is her best friend and she depends on him a lot. In her experience, romantic relationships don't last, so she's convinced she'd never take that step with Daniel, as it's not worth risking their friendship.
Daniel and Amy had crazy sexual chemistry, and they obviously had great chemistry together as friends. But, Amy was so adamant, to the point of unlikable for me, that they could never make it work, because he would get bored and leave her. He was her best friend, but in this, she didn't trust him at all. It ended up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy, and it was so frustrating to watch. By the end, I almost felt like Amy didn't deserve Daniel and his awesome love, and that made me sad. She kept saying, and thinking, and doing the exact wrong thing, and by the end I wanted to strangle her. For me, the only saving grace was Daniel. He knew what he wanted, and he set about getting it, and he didn't give up, even when he thought he would end up being forced to. I really admire that in a romance hero.
Overall, the book was just ok for me, due to my dislike of the heroine. But, the author's writing was very engaging, and I would definitely read her again.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Planned Seduction has my favorite storyline which is friends to lovers, over all the novel was good but there wasn’t enough something. I don’t know exactly what was missing but there was just something. I liked the characters, the storyline and the steamy scenes but I felt like the emotional connection between Amy and Daniel wasn’t as strong as I would expect for best friends. I would recommend it and will probably read more from this series if another novel comes out. It just needed a bit more work in the connection between the main character. It’s a 3.5 star read for me.
3.5 Stars
This was an average read for me. Don't get me wrong it was good but it didn't have that WOW factor.
Amy's character just did not do it for me. Yes, she has issues (as do a lot of the characters we experience) yet she just wasn't able to really move past them. Okay, let's give her the benefit of the doubt and understand her father issues and ex issues. The fact is Daniel proved over and over he was there for her. They've been friends and he's always been there for her yet she can't move past.....well the past.
Daniel was awesome. It was great to see how much he really cared for her. Their chemistry was felt through the very words the author whispered to us yet.....I found Amy just dowsing the flames for me.
I can't say I wouldn't recommend this book because there were things about it I really liked but that one factor knocked it down for me personally.
This was a hot one...
Planned Seduction (The Seduction Series) - Jess Dee
*3.5 STARS*
Friends-to-lovers is one of my all time favorite tropes so, when I read the description for PLANNED SEDUCTION, I was super excited to read it. And while I didn't love everything about the story, I really thought it was an enjoyable read.
Amy and Daniel have been friends for the last seventeen years. Daniel has also been secretly in love with Amy for about the same time. He's never felt that it was the right time to let his feelings be known, but after a life changing photography assignment, he knows that he's got to make his move. The problem is getting his best friend who thinks all men leave her to take him seriously is going to be difficult.
So, Daniel comes up with a plan that will seduce his best friend into becoming his lover and hopefully much more. But will Amy be willing to take a chance on him and them becoming more than just friends?
As I stated before, I'm a sucker for friends-to-lovers stories. And this one really fit the bill because Amy and Daniel have so much history together. How they made it through their hormone riddled teen years without so much as a make out session, I have no idea, but I loved the ease of their friendship. I also loved the way that Daniel knew he had to ease Amy into the idea of a more physical relationship with him. It showed how much he knew his best friend and her issues.
And when those two got together...WOW! We are talking off the charts hot. Jess Dee is one of those authors that I know is going to bring the heat. And nothing was left unscorched in this one. It seemed like a seamless transition to me. Their friendship made their physical relationship that much better.
But, that's where the story fell short for me. Amy, who is a therapist, really just went off the rails. She was so afraid of being hurt like she has been by men in her past, that she made so really ridiculous choices. We've seen that before, right, but it was the fact that she is a therapist that really didn't sit well with me. Didn't she have some therapy to work on her own issues? Here in the states, it's basically a requirement to do that. Maybe things are different in Australia, but the girl needed some serious couch time. She was so stunted that she made those too stupid to live type of decisions and it made the story less enjoyable right there.
Luckily, she came to her senses and I got the HEA that was rooting for all along, but I wanted to about strangle her there for a second.
Overall though, PLANNED SEDUCTION was a very hot read that was enjoyable to read. I have read books by this author before, and I know that I'm in for a steamy one when I see her name and this one certainly didn't disappoint there.

A quick read.
Daniel has been in love with his best friend Amy since they were teenagers, and he's decided it's time he does something about it.
Daniels sudden change and his slow seduction has left Amy baffled and turned on. She is attracted towards Daniel like never before. But between and dad and her ex leaving her, she's decided she's never letting another man in her heart. And she is convinced that after sleeping with Daniel, she will lose not just her lover but also her best friend.
Will Daniel be able to convince Amy that his love is forever or will her insecurities win ?
Planned seduction is a friends to lovers story with a twist. The sizzle factor was off the charts hot. Daniel is just wow. I can read the book again just for him.
Planned seduction is an entertaining, quick read.

Review: Ah, this one wasn't for me.
I find it exceedingly strange that after years and years of friendship both Daniel and Amy start having feelings for each other at the exact same time.
I liked Daniel's ploy to get her to look at him in a different light but found the repetition of Daniel/Amy getting close and then she pushing him away because she was afraid of losing him and their friendship quite tiresome. Don't get me wrong, I expect a bit of that in a friends-to-lovers romance but after the second time it happened I was bored.
Planned Seduction is about Daniel Tanner and Amy Morgan. Two people who have grown up together and been best friends for seventeen years. But what happens when one of you has secretly pined for more, both have faced heartbreak could now be the time to take a leap of faith that what they have always wanted is right in front of them.
I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Jess Dee in the future
SEXY!!! You'll fall in love with Daniel and Amy, and thoroughly enjoy them burning up the sheets.
This was a good friends to lovers story but there was nothing about that was really "wow". Fairly typical friends for years and never wanted to risk the friendship trying for something more. A recent job shows Daniel that life can be short and you should go for what you want and Amy is definitely what he wants. The characters were good and the overall story entertaining. So while perhaps not original it was entertaining. I would recommend it.
I really enjoyed this book! I always love dual POV books, and something about books that take place down under does it for me. I could've happily done without Amy's little hissy fit toward the end of the book, and maybe a bit more character development on Daniel, but overall, I loved the story. The Leona twist was pretty awesome! I didn't see that particular storyline coming. I'm hoping to read more from the author, and maybe specifically some of the supporting characters from this book.
What happens when your best friend tells you that he loves you especially when you have had men leave you all your life? That’s what Amy had to deal with. She and Daniel were best friends since she was seventeen and they leaned on each other for everything. Daniel had known that Amy has had important men in her life cheat on her one way or another and she was more than reluctant to let another man do that to her again. That’s why it was so important to her to keep Daniel as a friend and nothing more. Daniel had a revolving door of women in and out of his bedroom and Amy witnessed all of this…since they were best friends and would confide in each other. That is except for the fact that Daniel was in love with Amy and didn’t know how to tell her without her running from him and what they could have.
This was all about two friends finding each other with a different piece of their hearts. It was crazy the lengths that Daniel would go through for Amy and only had me wishing that I had a “Daniel” as a best friend. It didn’t hurt the fact that he a great looking guy who was a well-known photographer. You have to see for yourself how Amy would react to all of Daniel’s actions and would she wise up in time before he leaves for a month on a job with a gorgeous journalist.
I received this book as an ARC for a freely given honest review.
Planned Seduction by Jess Dee is a nice friends-to-lovers story with good bones that with a bit more work put into it, it would burn the house down. There were a few spots of lag for me that detracted from my reading enjoyment. Plenty of heat in this one...heat was not the issue. Flesh out the story and the characters more to get it to reach it’s full potential. Overall a nice read and enjoyable way to spend an hour away from reality.
An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.
This is an okay read from Blazen. There was heat for sure but as for a believable story, well, it is a bit pushed for me. I love a good friendship turns to more story. And this is a good one. But with some more character development and such, this could have been a great one.
Amy Morgan has been friends with Daniel Tanner for more than half her life, he gets her like no one else does, and has been there for every bump in the road of her life. Their friendship is the one solid thing in her life, the problem is there is also an intense attraction flaring between them, and she is afraid if she gives into it, she'll get burned and lose her best friend in the process. She learned early on that men don't stick around when things get tough, and every man that has come into her life has proven that to her time after time, so the odds of Danny sticking around if things go south between them is highly unlikely, and she just can't risk losing him or their friendship. So, when he proposes they give into the flames flaring between them she fights him every step of the way...but eventually her resolve starts to slip, and things start to really heat up, and now she just has to have hope that her instincts were wrong and she won't get burned!
Daniel Tanner has wanted to be the one and only man in Amy Morgan's life for some time now, and for the most part he is, but just as her best friend, the problem is he wants it all, be her best friend and lover, but Amy isn't willing to risk their friendship for the possibility of love. So, Daniel decides to get creative in hopes of making her see that he is in it for the long haul, no matter what life throws at them, and that what they share now could be so much more...a forever kind of more. He devises a plan to win her heart, but just when he starts to make headway, life intervenes and he is left trying to decide what path to take... one that leads to a dream of a lifetime, or one that leads that to the woman who holds the keys to his heart!
This addictive little tale had me hooked in a matter of minutes and devouring the pages as fast as I could swipe them...and staying up well past my bedtime just to finish it, and oh man was it WELL worth the lack of sleep!! When these two finally let their desire take control, the heat started to rise, my screen started to steam over, and not long after they had me blushing and in desperate need of a fan!! The chemistry they shared was evident the minute they laid eyes on one another, and with each encounter that followed it just continued to burn hotter, and there was no denying it... no matter how much Amy tried! I have to say this turned out to be a very memorable first read for me, it not only introduced me to an amazing new author, but it also made for one hell of a literary escape... one that I'm still filling the heat from!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.
Friends to lovers story but not without a bundle of missteps, mistakes and a whole lot of planning. Along with a few good chuckles as well.
Daniel and Amy have been friends for years. Best friends. He's a photographer and after doing a piece on the children's cancer ward at the hospital Amy works at, he's ready to make a move toward changing things up with Amy. Daniel has a plan though, aided by his sister and another friend.
Amy is a counselor in the fertility clinic, her view toward men is pretty skewed, her father left her and her mother when she was 15, then a bad relationship where her ex boyfriend cheated on her. She thinks all men do is walk away. She and Danny are very close and share everything. Just when Danny thinks he's getting close to getting her to see the upside to a more than best friends, she balks and shuts down. But meanwhile he's all she can think about. Things progress pretty rapidly, Amy wants to sleep with Danny and thus they do. Her co-worker and best friend has been a sounding board for her through this. Encouraging her.
When Danny gets an opportunity to go on a photo shoot for National Geographic with a woman, a very attractive woman, Danny gives Amy the option of telling him he can say no, he tells her she is more important. She tells him no that he needs to do this for his career and after discussing, he agrees. Issue solved. Next day because Amy has absolutely no control over her imagination, her trust in Danny and herself when he comes over she ends it with him. No matter what he said and how much he expressed his feelings, she just ices over. And she ends their friendship of 17 years. He is crushed. He leaves for his month long assignment, she doesn't here from him, she is distraught and when Maggie finally blasts her about the way she treated him, she comes to her senses. Or so it appears.
And you have to read the book to see what happens after that, because there's a lot of things that transpire.
This is my first read from Jess Dee and she did a great job with this book. It takes place in Australia, the characters are well done and the dialogue is great, as is the inner dialogue with these two. It's got it's steamy moments as well and they're so well done. Nice work and great story! I loved it.
**arc from NetGalley and Entangled in exchange for a fair review**
planned seduction was previously published as photo opportunity, a friends-to-lovers story, and i don't know if much has changed from the original release to this new version. this is a sexy contemporary read. daniel tanner has been in love with his best friend, amy morgan, forever. but she has the tendency to be skittish about relationships. her dad and then her fiancé both turned out to be no good cheaters. and since daniel needed time to grow up, he never did anything to follow through on his feelings.
until a photo shoot with young cancer patients changes his perspective on life. he recognizes that he needs to live his life to the fullest. putting things off until a later that isn't guaranteed isn't living. so he decides to change his relationship with amy from friendship to the true love he knows it could be. he knows she'll resist making any changes, so he gets her to kiss him by pretending there is a doctor who is relentlessly pursuing him and getting his sister in on the plan.
i'll be honest, i wasn't a fan of the plan, and while it eventually did work as planned, it just also felt like both amy and dan could be smarter about life and relationships and maybe if they talked things through honestly and openly they wouldn't be in this predicament. actually, daniel was at least honest with himself. amy was being such a freaking nincompoop at times that i wanted to shake her.
when she breaks up with daniel because he has a month-long photo shoot and she doesn't believe that he will want to remain faithful to her, it was so frustrating because she was being a moron and a jerk. i know that without these misunderstandings there would be no story, but for someone who was otherwise competent and insightful, she was so dense about what was happening between daniel and her that it felt unbelievable. the sequel story, originally ask adam, and now chance seduction is also being republished.

Are you ready to be seduced by the best friend a girl has ever had? Well be prepared to lose your heart and panties over Daniel. He will win you over as he puts into place the perfect plan to finally get his bestie to see him as more and to take it to another level. The hottest level.
This book starts off steamy and continues to keep the temperature rising all through the story and by the end you will need a cool drink or maybe some relief. These two do more than burn up the sheets as they fall and you may just get singed reading it.
Once the cork is popped, these two are combustible. I’m not kidding, they are hot, hot, hot.
I’m a sucker for the friends to lover’s trope and when this story popped up, I knew I had to have it. What I didn’t expect was to accidentally inhale the book because I could not put it down. I loved it. There was something about Daniel and his plan to seduce Amy in a way that wouldn’t scare her off that captured me and wouldn’t let go. Add in enough chemistry to give off sparks, a dose of laughs and a hero and heroine who are so perfect for each other it hurts and I was lost.
One of my favourite things about this storyline (other than it being set in my home town) was that Daniel was the friend to want to take it further and had for a while. It swapped around the roles that I have been reading lately and I loved it. He literally put his heart and soul into the perfect seduction plan and as a reader it was a refreshing change.
Of course there was a time when I wanted to slap the crap out of Amy. Seriously how could she not be all over Daniel like a rash??? But she redeemed herself with a light bulb moment and the unusual heroine grovel. Being honest here, she is the reason it’s only 4 ½ stars.
This was a first read for me by this author but I can say with certainty it won’t be the last. I loved her style and can’t wait to read more. I loved this book and its unique take on a seduction plan to end or secure a friendship forever. Bring on more like it, I’m hooked.
