Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
A quick read about a female butler and the two musicians she's working for. To be honest, I was expecting more spice given the buildup, but I enjoyed this one overall. Not as in depth regarding who the guys were or what comes next, but I understand there are things that have to be sacrificed for a short read like this. Would definitely read more by this author.
Well....it was....interesting. Ususally I'm all for this plot, but man was this one difficult to get through.
The whole time I just felt bored.
Lily was ok, as were Lex and Jax. But the whole thing felt rushed and not planned out. It was a really quick read and I was able to skim most of it without feeling like I was missing much. I just felt like this one was kind of a dud, at least for me.
Seduction is a Bayfront Billionaire Novella by Calista Fox.
Lily Hart is the new live-in butler for Jackson Sterling and Lexington Alexander. She knew that she’d be at their beck and call and possibly be attracted to one. However, Lily didn’t expect to be attracted to both and have it reciprocated. These two billionaire musicians will have to use the fine arts of seduction to convince Lily that she’s their’s.
But, how far will these two billionaire’s go? Will Lily be able to unlock their hearts?
Seduction is the perfect title to represent this book. Calista Fox has managed to not only steal my undivided attention, but also my heart. The characters she produced was captivating and I absolutely loved watching these men seduce our leading lady. However, she wasn’t the only one being seduced. She managed to do her own seduction towards her men as well. In addition, Ms. Fox has created a wonderful storyline that feels complete, yet leaving the readers to want more. I also, look forward to reading more of Calista Fox’s work in the future.
I love menage romances so was excited when I read the blurb for Calista Fox's Seduction. I also liked the more unique premise. I don't recall reading an erotic romance previously that had the female lead as a live in butler. Lily is the new live in butler for billionaires Jackson Sterling and Lexington Alexander. She is to be at their beck and call, but also not bother them. She expects that perhaps she may have find herself attracted to one of them, but it shocked when she is attracted to both, which makes for a complicated working environment. Jackson and Lexington share her attraction and decide she is the perfect woman for them. Now they just need to work hard to seduce her and convince her that her place is by their side in more ways than just as a butler.
This was a sexy short read that I enjoyed quite a lot. Perfect for fans of menage romances.
Not your typical rock stars, theses are classical trained violinist and pianist who are the best of friends working towards a new CD. So rich they hire a Lily as their live in butler. An attraction develops between the three that no one could have predicted.
It was interesting to see into the world of everything a butler does for people. I never had a clue how much detail goes into everything.
As always a thanks first to St. Martins Press for providing us with a copy of these books that we could bring you this review.
I have to say that I am loving a new series with menage's as you all know I have been reading another series that has this type of relationship. Another town but that takes place during modern times is awesome. Love the strong female characters and the loving protective male counterparts. I look forward to seeing more from this author and these books.
I have to give these books 4 polyamorous kisses...
Happy Reading... Adri
This was a super short novella that had a romance featuring a menage. I liked all three main characters, and there was some hot chemistry going on! The storyline kept me interested and I enjoyed how quick and easy this book was to read.
I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book
Lily Hart has a plan to work hard and save her money to do something she has always wanted to do...all she has to do is stay focused and finish this last job before her life can really begin
Jax and Lex need a muse and luckily for them they have found it in Lily...the real question is can they convince her to give up her plan and stay with them forever? Read and find out!
Overall this book was ok. I have read other Calista Fox books and she has done a good job. It's just that this book was a tad bit slow but when you get to the end you'll have a little smile on your face and realize it was a cute little romance.
While there was some intriguing relationship issues, and the erotica was well written, the plot lacked something in my view.
This was a scorcher! Absolutely riveting. The heat, chemistry, and play between Lex, Jax, and Lily is just incendiary. The heartbreak in their pasts and the change over time... This is a superb menage and I'm left wanting more from this author.
A female butler is definitely an interesting choice for a heroine! As expected, there are some steamy scenes in this menage romance novella. Having the two main male characters named Jax and Lex made for a bit of confusion for me (the names were too similar, I kept mixing up who was who). As Jax and Lex are still grieving the loss of their previous female partner, Lily is right to be cautious about getting emotionally involved with them. This is an insta- lust/insta-love story with minimal conflict and a happy for now ending. A quick and easy read.

holy cow! Be prepared for a great story and a quick read. Not what I expected but it totally works as a story that you get engrossed in and can't stop reading.
I was not sure this was the kind of story I would enjoy....but I really enjoyed it. Jax and Lex were easy to get involved with and Lily was perfect for what they needed to heal them....This is fast moving story and I hated for it to end.
Seduction is a nice introduction to a new series. Lily comes from a long line of professional butlers and she's just been hired for a temporary position as a butler for two classical musicians - Jackson "Jax" Sterling and Lexington "Lex" Alexander. From the very beginning, she's attracted to both men and the feeling is obviously mutual. But, she has a job to do, and she's unsure if she wants to jeopardize that job for what would have to be a temporary fling with the two gorgeous men.
When they propose an interesting arrangement, though, to be their muse while they finish up on their collaborative CD that they have been falling behind on, things start to heat up between the 3. Lily is everything both Jax and Lex could possibly want: she's beautiful, sensual, kind, and most of all, she really understands the soul of their music. But, can she possibly compare to the woman who is the cause of all their pain? The woman they had both been in love with 7 years before, and lost? Lily doesn't think she can compare, doesn't even want them to draw comparisons.
I like all three characters, and think their chemistry is hot, if not at a slow burn, but I do think Seduction is too short to have done their relationship the justice it deserves. It's not fully fleshed out, so I missed a little of the connection I could have found, had there been sufficient time for it to be fully developed. I also would have liked an epilogue so that we could have a peek into what happened in their future. Other than the too short length and the slightly underdeveloped story, I enjoyed Seduction and its three main characters.
Liliana (Lily) Hart comes from a line of butlers of the rich and famous, and she is no exception. In an effort to finance a trip to Europe, Lily takes on a two-month assignment as the live-in butler for two very rich composers. Armed with the very strict rules of the house, Lily begins her quest to financial security, unknowing that the two men she now works for are not just rich and talented - they are hot, built, and likable. The music that emanates from their instruments brings Lily to her knees - sorrowful, powerful, and filled with emotion that is palpable.
Jackson (Jax) Sterling and Lexington (Lex) Alexander are both internationally acclaimed classical musicians. They have come back together after a 7-year hiatus to compose what has become the most anticipated classical music compilation CD of the time. The musical compositions are stunted and inspiration to continue is becoming fewer and farther between - until their beautiful, female butler becomes their muse and turns things around - in both the music room and their shared beds.
Seduction is a finely crafted M/F/M menage and is only for those 18+ that enjoy this type of story. Filled with emotional layers, Calista Fox's characters peel them back slowly at first and then with a scorching urgency. The chemistry between Lily, Jax, and Lex is undeniable. The interactions between the trio were written realistically and with believability. The novella is fast and evenly paced, engaging, and just all around a great read.
I voluntarily read a copy of Seduction provided to me by the publisher through NetGalley.
This was a quick and enjoyable read. It was intriguing that the heroine was a female butler and her role as the heroes' muse was sweet and sensual combined.
Lilianna/ Lily’s new employers were Jackson Sterling and Lexington Alexander. Greta the estate manager - who also seemed to like Lily- told Lily not to disturb the two musicians if the doors were shut as they were creating a CD together and to just leave the tea service on the side table by the entry way. It was Lily’s first day as Lady butler for the two men. Jax and Lex both internationally acclaimed classical musicians. Jax was a violinist and Lex a concert pianist. Lex and Jax had grown up in the same wealthy Parisian household together as child prodigies. Their instructor became their conductor when they turned nine as they had been invited to join the international orchestra. Then Lex and Jax collaborated with each other until they were twenty one. Then both young men left the orchestra and went to their own careers. Lily was not a stranger to the rich and affluent most of the men on her paternal side of her family were butlers. But Lily was the first female butler. Greta had spent the last week intensely training Lily of every nuance of serving the two men. Lily had always been moved by haunting music such as she was hearing being played by Jax then Jax stopped and slammed the door and startled Lily dropped the tea service and made a mess her first day. Lex was right behind Lily and told her not to pick up the glass and the Jax had been in a bad mood for the last seven years. Lily was a live in butler and let Lex know she was available to either man twenty four/ seven. It was a two month assignment and Lily was being very well paid. Lily wondered if she may have gotten in over her head on this job with her instant attraction to Lex. Lily had been a server at the famed Cliff House in San Francisco for nine years. A ghost was wedged between the two men named Katrina and maybe they should just forget this project or so Jax was thinking. The men were perfectionist about their music and just couldn’t seem to get it right. Lily strove to be professional but when Jax came into his room with just a towel around his waist… Lily had been turning down Jax’s bed as the two men had went out and were suppose to be back later. Jax saw Lily was attracted to him and probably not happy about it.The CD was to be a tribute to Katarina. Katarina had joined the orchestra as a singer and jax and Lex quickly fell for her. Both men wanted to share Lily between them Neither man really had time for an affair as they were on a deadline. But maybe Lily could be their muse and be their inspiration.
I didn’t really care for this story . it was a short story and I don’t believe a professional woman would end up in bed with her bosses not when all the men on her father's side had been butlers and she knew what her behavior should have been. Lily was screwing things up for other women who may want to become butlers instead of leading the way. She also should have put the tea set on the side table as she could hear at least one of the men were working. Lily should have quit her job or made it clear she could only fulfill the duties of a butler like any other would have male or female. If she couldn’t control her desire she should have left. This didn't hold my attention so i didn’t finish it I was disappointed in the story.
This book was ok until I got to the part where the guys asked her to wear an evening gown to the music room at night where she served them drinks and sat and listened to music. It was so far fetched and just a crazy idea, but it didn't stop there she did it for several nights. It was so hard to contain my laughter at this absurd idea. These high class guys, one who wears a tank top and draw sting pants while she is in an evening gown, jewels and high heels. This whole concept just made me laugh and I lost all interest in this story after that scene and I only finished because I needed to see if she would keep up this charade for them. It was a predictable ending and it took so long for them to get together in this story was losing interest in the book. Hard to connect to the characters and the dead girlfriend had way to much of a presents in this book.
