3.75 Hearts This is part of the SWAT series and trust me you need to read the series before reading this story. Or at least most of the series. It really can’t be a stand alone. Even though if you do read it first you will want to go back and read the first five.
There are a few changes with this story from the series. First they are called out of Dallas to New Orleans. Second this falls more under the second chance at love since they knew each other in high school and third it is a bit lighter on the sex scenes but still a very sexy read.
Disclaimer:
I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Talk about your brooding, alpha male/were-wolf! Remy sure knows how to nourish those emotional scars.
This was great installment in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series. Although, it did have some interaction and mention of the pack characters, I missed it being at home base. Okay, I missed the past character interaction that happens when its at home base.
I found WOLF HUNT to be highly entertaining. Tyler's writing keeps the chemistry burning bright between Remy and Triana while getting the readers blood pumping with the action intense, suspense filled plot. If you are looking for a really great alpha shifter tale, I highly recommend WOLF HUNT.
I received this ARC copy of Wolf Hunt from SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca. This is my honest and voluntary review. Wolf Hunt is set for publication June 6, 2017.

A sexy cajun and an alpha male all in one package. What more could you want? Remy and Triana were friends from high school that lost touch after graduation. A night out on Bourbon Street with friends reunite them and they discover the connection and chemistry between them is still there. They are both in town for the week and decide to hang out and have fun. There's fun but also there's a hurricane, drama and suspense.
This is a great series and I love all of the members of the SWAT team.

A STORM IS BREWING…
Remy Boudreaux is back in his hometown, New Orleans. He's there with three of his fellow Dallas SWAT officers for a week of training with the NOLA PD. On the eve of a tropical storm, Remy and his buddies prowl the French Quarter. One tantalizing scent captures Remy's senses, forcing him to follow until he is face to face with Triana Bellamy—his beautiful high school crush.
After reconnecting, Remy and Triana are close—very. Remy struggles to keep things casual. Ever since his partner—and first love—was killed on the job, he's kept women at a distance.
But when a mysterious wolf pendant ropes them both into danger, Remy's protective instincts kick in. He may have to reveal his true self...and hope Triana accepts him.
My Thoughts
Taking place outside the confines of Dallas locales the team members of SWAT selected to accompany Remy are stoked to be in New Orleans for a week. Even though the purpose is not for enjoying the non-stop partying but working with the NOPD the men are still excited to be in the Crescent City.
On their first night Remy cannot stay away from the most enchanting fragrance he has ever come across, to his surprise when he locates the source much to their mutual delight it is an old friend from High School.
When words like Destiny and Fate come into play expect the romance to be off the charts from the beginning and yet it seems that this time action took center stage for a nice change of pace for the members of SWAT who still managed to enjoy the novelty of Ladies Man Remy Boudreaux apparently finding himself off the market.
Triana Bellamy has changed from the shy girl Remy crushed on in High School to a beautiful, sexy, confident woman he finds himself even more attracted to all these years later.
To say the least this series delivers with each new romantic pairing and each new leg on the journey of discovering the threat facing the werewolf packs.
As with the previous reads there is an overuse of explaining The One and the reluctance to admit the connection on a deeper level that Remy feels for Triana mentioned enough times to become annoying.
Thankfully those two peeves are the only things in the story that really chafe me when reading the book, otherwise I enjoyed this foray back into the SWAT world and it's characters, both primary and supporting.
Guess have read too many paranormal romance couples stories that use these same tactics to drive home those points.
The good thing about this story is that there are several plots taking place at the same time so when one seems to run it’s course the other picks up the slack keeping the reader involved in the ongoing arc that will be further addressed in book seven later on near the end of 2017.
[EArc from Netgalley in exchange for honest review]
On every book read as soon as it is done and written up for review it is posted on Goodreads and Netgalley, once released then posted on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles as well.

#6 is just as heart pounding as the first 5. Remy is visiting his hometown of New Orleans to train with the local SWAT. He finds himself distracted in the best way but keeping the pack secret becomes hard to do. The crazy coincidences just keep piling up
Triana is in town visiting her mother for a week and helping out in her Voodoo shop. Her high school crush has appeared all grown-up and delicious but she can't help but think there is something everybody knows but her. Is their attraction just right for a week-long affair or is this unnatural pull something more?

Anything can happen in NOLA and for Dallas SWAT werewolf, Remy Boudreaux, that would mean forgiving himself and letting himself love again. It is going to take his nerdy high school crush, Triana Bellamy, now all grown up mother to crack through the shell around his heart to help him learn to love again. This is a high energy, fast paced sweet and sexy addition to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed every page. This book also hints at a danger to the wolves much bigger than any perp they’ve encountered to date. Bring it!

Rating: 4*s
Genre: Paranormal Romantic Suspense
Audience: Adult
Sensuality: Hot
Length: Novel
A Broken Hero:
Remy Boudreaux has been the playboy of the SWAT pack, always having a woman in his bed but never getting serious. In WOLF HUNT, we find out why.
An Attraction That Can't Be Denied:
And so when he's on a training operation in New Orleans and is strongly drawn to a woman, he's cautious about getting too close. Especially since that woman is Triana Bellamy, a friend and crush from high school. But their attraction can't be denied. Though Remy does try to deny it, with serious consequences.
A Storm of Suspense and Danger:
In the meantime, a storm is barreling down on New Orleans. Triana gets a lead on one of the men who killed her father, and Remy becomes involved in a drug case. All of which comes together in a "perfect storm" of suspense and danger. And just when you think it's over, it isn't. And after that come the dire predictions for the future... And so the series continues.

Wolf Hunt by Paige Tyler is the 6th book in her wonderful SWAT series. I love this series by Tyler, as she always manages to give us an exciting, fun, action packed, sexy story, with a great couple. Of course, it is always nice to learn more about our Hot hunks that are members of the Dallas SWAT team. It doesn’t hurt that they are all sexy alpha werewolves.
The story starts with Remy Boudreaux, our hero, on a mission that kills his girlfriend, and leaves him near death. We pick up a few years later, where Remy is now a member of the Dallas SWAT team, and we learn that he was turned into werewolf to save his life. Remy and his three fellow members of the Dallas SWAT team attend training in New Orleans, his old home town. When they go to the bar at night, Remy scents someone from the past that he knew from school.
We meet our heroine, Triana Bellamy, who had a crush on Remy in high school. The attraction between them is immediate and strong; before long Remy begins to feel a bond develop. His friend’s tease him, asking if she is “the one”, as legend says a werewolf will find his “one” mate, and it seems lately that the Swat members are slowly finding their “one”. Remy does not want to hear this, as he does not want to be hurt again or put anyone close to him in danger. But fate is making it difficult to ignore his intense feelings.
Triana works in California as a scientist in a CSI lab, which helps discover clues such as DNA, etc. Triana is home to visit her mother, who runs a voodoo shop, and also wants to find out more information as to who murdered her father. When she sees someone badgering her mother to sell them a missing wolf pendant, or the store, her suspicions rise. While Remy and the guys are working with the New Orleans police, they help on a real assignment to catch a drug lord. As the tension escalates, this will eventually coincide with Triana’s quest to find her father’s murderer. What follows is an exciting, tense, pulse pounding adventure putting Triana and her mother in danger; as well as pulling Remy and his friends to help.
What I love about this series is not only the suspense and action packed story; but Paige Tyler always gives us a wonderful sexy couple. Remy and Triana had sizzling chemistry, and were great together. She knew Remy was the man for her, and he was doing all he could to step away, so not to see her get hurt. But when push comes to shove, Remy finds out that not being together will not protect Triana. Her research into her father’s murder will put her in deeper danger, and he will be forced to find a way to save her, as she was in terrible danger. Triana will also learn the truth about Remy and his SWAT members. Will she try to stay with Remy knowing what his really is?
I love this series. It is always fun, exciting, sexy, with a fantastic group of characters that make up the SWAT team, and their eventual mates. Paige Tyler does it so well, putting the story in the forefront and at the same time giving us a beautiful romance. If you have not read this series, you are missing a gem.

I really enjoyed Wolf Hunt while I was reading it. I love New Orleans, especially as a setting for paranormal stories. And it was nice to see a smaller group of the SWAT guys and get to know them a little better. In addition to Remy, Max, Zane, and Brooks, my personal fave, are the only ones on this trip so I felt like the supporting cast got more page time than usual. I also really liked Triana's mom who owns a voodoo shop.
I had some issues with Triana though. First of all, her name bugged me. I know that's an odd complaint and it may be my own personal weirdness. But Triana sounds too much like Tiana, who is also from New Orleans which made it an obvious connection. (She's the princess in The Princess and the Frog for anyone who doesn't speak Disney.) I kept getting the wrong picture in my head, which took me out of the story.
I also felt like it wasn't really clear what her job was, though that's not as important as it might have been since she's on vacation. She works in the crime lab, but at one point she says she works in the medical examiner's office. Despite what NCIS might lead us to believe, I don't think those are the same thing. But what bothered me more is that she didn't really feel like a scientist. I wanted her to be more precise and methodical, especially since she didn't believe in the supernatural despite growing up with it. Don't even get me started on "How could her parents keep that from her?"
I loved the werewolf action at the end of the story, though I thought the final showdown was a little bit anticlimactic seen from Triana's POV. But I had all the secrets surrounding her father figured out from the beginning. And that wolf pendant that started it all? We never did find out what happened to it.
I think I would have given Wolf Hunt another star if I didn't have to review it. It's one of those books that's fun while I'm reading but when I think about it too much I start to find flaws.

Wolf Hunt is the sixth book in the SWAT series by Paige Tyler and is currently scheduled for release on June 6 2017. Remy Boudreaux is back in his hometown, New Orleans. He's there with three of his fellow Dallas SWAT officers for a week of training with the NOLA PD. On the eve of a tropical storm, Remy and his buddies prowl the French Quarter. One tantalizing scent captures Remy's senses, forcing him to follow until he is face to face with Triana Bellamy, his beautiful high school crush. After reconnecting, Remy and Triana are close, very close. Remy struggles to keep things casual. Ever since his partner, and lover, was killed on the job, he's kept women at a distance. But when a mysterious wolf pendant ropes them both into danger, Remy's protective instincts kick in. He may have to reveal his true self and hope Triana accepts him.
Wolf Hunt opens with the scene that explains how Remy's partner, and lover, was killed in a raid. So readers know right away that he is going to be reluctant to get attached from the very beginning. My only issue with it is that the raid seemed so familiar to me that I had to check and double check to make sure I had not read this book before. I know raids gone wrong are all going to be similar on some level, I started off my read unsure, but was glad that the rest of the story made up for my initial unease. I liked hat Remy reconnects with someone he knew from his past, but that readers still got to know Triana and her mother a little. I think the mother was my favorite character- and I spent a good portion of the book worried that she was going to get killed, because I liked her and her forthright style and stubbornness so much. She was three steps ahead of Remy, Triana, and the root of the danger haunting them all the whole book. I say some of the twists and connections coming right away, but was happy to see some of the interesting ways they came about. I enjoyed the read, but could have done with less stubborn brooding and more actual conversation between Triana and Remy- but that is something that I find to be a common issue in romance of all sub-genres.
Wolf Hunt is not far off what I was expecting, but was glad to see a few unexpected twists along the way. Fans of the series will want to pick this one up, and since the stage is set off the SWAT home turf I think newcomers to the series will be able to fully enjoy the read as well.

I really enjoy the series but I wasn't able to get into WOLF HUNT. Remy is dangerously sexy as are the rest of his packmates. The story was exciting and there were a few surprises along the way. The reason I couldn't get through the book smoothly is because I didn't like the heroine, Triana. I'm not sure if it's her personality or just her entire side of the story but whenever she got page time, the story seemed to lag.
I think readers and fans of the series will enjoy Remy and Triana's story, she just wasn't a particular favorite of mine.
***I voluntarily read a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and feelings are my own***

Remy, a member of the SWAT team, is in New Orleans with his teammates cross training with NOPD. There he reconnects with Triana, a girl he knew in high school. She's no longer an awkward girl, she has become an irresistible woman. Triana could be The One for him - the one true soul mate each wolf yearns for - but Remy has loved and lost before and is reluctant to take a chance on her. Another winner in the SWAT (Special Wolf Alpha Team) series by Paige Tyler!

I really liked how this one started out, loved that Remy followed his nose to find an old friend. I thought it was funny how both Remy and Triana had crushes on each other as kids, but didn't do anything about it. Not the case this time around, these two were determined to take advantage of randomly running into each other. The time they spent together was cute, but all too short as Remy did the guy thing and walked away when scared. I so wanted to reach into the book and knock some sense into Remy, he should have explained things better to Triana, she would have understood and slowed things down. Instead some bad guys around town were able to get Triana and of course these were the same bad guys that Remy and the SWAT team were going after. Things from here go about how you guess, with one exception. Turns out Triana's mom is a smart cookie and saw much more than her daughter. A very good thing when Triana needed advice towards the end. Triana made the right choice and found a new home and lots of friends.

3.5 Stars rounded Up
I felt the SWAT series braced for some unknown something with what's going on on Wolf Hunt. For one, the story took place in New Orleans, a city loaded with myth and mysticism. And for another, the history the main characters had, which somehow intertwined and meshed with the trouble both characters had.
After the last two somewhat lukewarm entry of the series, Remy's story is like a breathe of fresh air. Even the usual opening chapter - where there's a certainty something horrible going to happen - brought additional oomph for how the disaster would directly affect the story later on. At least it had me sympathize with him more. Also, the fact that Triana - the love interest - was someone he got a crush with during high school, making the attraction between them a bit more natural than the usual werewolf-pheromones-bonding-instalove-the-One stuff this series have so far.
Don't get me wrong, the steamy scenes were still plenty for readers who enjoy them. But the connection between the pair felt more genuine to me because they knew each other previously. Another plus on their romance was, as frustrating Remy and Triana could be with the whole broken-heart vibe, once they decided to talk things through both didn't dilly dally.
On the suspense part, there were separate cases Remy and Triana carried out which ultimately lead to the deadly hunt. I liked how the storyline weaved between these two cases. Even if some of the facts and turn of events were rather predictable or cliché, the fast pace of the story more than making up for it. What satisfied me here was how the law of retaliation - an eye for an eye - for once was really put to use. Werewolf were deadly, so there! ;-)
Referring back to the New Orleans's mysterious atmosphere, where a few questions answered while raising a whole new other questions at the same time, this entry cemented the base of bigger picture to the plot with the whole A/B/O, werewolf hunters and other trouble brewing. I thought it was high time this SWAT pack had someone who could advice them spiritually as this bunch of Alphas didn't seem to have clue on quite a lot of other stuff. It's interesting to see how the author would bring the story from here.

Wolf Hunt by Paige Tyler
Fast moving, engaging wolf shifter romance. Sixth book in the SWAT series where finding The One true love makes love at first sight a pivotal event. In this case the couple knew each other in high school, so it's a sweet reunion and validates her long ago crush.
I love this author and series. It's a book and style that will have you up late because you don't want to put it down.
Remy smells something extremely tantalizing and follows it directly to Triana. That begins their renewed relationship that is more intense and deeper than he expects or even wants. He was in love in the past and it ended badly. He has no desire to go there again.
In the meantime, Triana has hired a private detective to help find who killed her father. Plus threats to her mother's voodoo shop in New Orleans have Remy and team
I like this statement about Remy. It's a good summary of his personality.
"There was a part of him that had known he was lying to himself, of course. But he did that a lot, and was completely okay with it."
Excerpt from Wolf Hunt by Paige Tyler
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley.

A friend of mine has read all of the books in this series and requested that I give it a try. I told her I don't like that kind of paranormal book and she reassured me that I would like it. Well she was right, I did enjoy it. While I don't like werewolf, vampire or really any shape shifter type book, I do like military and law enforcement type books. So I was drawn it real fast and liked how the story moved along.

Exciting and more than a little mysterious. Character driven and plot is amazing.

Another great Swat series story. This time part of the Swat team goes to New Orleans to do some training. In the recent past the shifters have been finding their One Fated Mates and although one, Remy, of the team has had and lost his mate he seems to have found another, when he runs into Triana, a former close school mate. He doesn't want a mate as he feel his last was killed because he couldn't protect her. But fate is not letting them go and their sensual attraction to each other can't be denied. Trouble finds them both when they discover information concerning Triana's murdered father, that also involves life changing information about Triana herself. If you love reading paranormal romance that includes action, danger and thrilling romance this book is for you. Wolf Hunt can be read as a stand alone, but reading any of the previous books in the series really adds that extra punch and enhances each story in the series.

Remy and Triana's story in "Wolf Hunt" was for me just as hot as all of the other books in this series. I love the way the author writes each book to stand on its own, but it has an enriched flavor when a couple of the other wolves makes their appearance into the book. New Orleans setting, old friendships and unrequited love, what more can you ask for in a great shifter romance book? Oh yeah, the Dallas SWAT pack and the next Alpha wolf in Remy finding his mate and HEA with Triana! The story blended a murder to resolve, old hurts, new beginnings and understandings with secrets revealed. Triana was in the dark about her Dad's murder, and even the fact that he was a werewolf. Knowing the bad guys and killers and what is happening, the story takes on a flair of Remy's and Triana's growing love for each other. How can Remy keep her safe and resolve his past? Can Triana except what she is seeing and knows about Remy? Paige Tyler weaves an intricate story that will keep you turning the pages. I read this one in one sitting and was not disappointed in any way. Even if you have not read any of the others in the series, I highly recommend it as this is a wonderful read for romantic suspense and wolf shifter lovers. I would like to thank NetGalley and Sourcebooks for gifting me "Wolf Hunt". My opinion is my own. This is mine 5 Stars!

Since it was almost 6 months ago, I read SWAT part 5, I really needed my dosis of hunky wolf men. So I was really happy to receive this ARC from Casablanca books. Paige picks up the story of the goodlooking wolf pack (did I mention hunky and droolworthy...) from Dallas. This time the story takes place in New Orleans, which gives the story a nice new surroundings. Everything can happen in New Orleans, naked guys, spiritual voodoo, you name it.
We meet Triana, while dancing away with her friends, when Remy catches her scent and is immediately drawn to her. Both are shocked to realize, they already know each other from high school. But that doesn't explain, why Remy is going all alpha male around Triana. Unless... she is THE ONE, as his fellow packmates suggest.
While Remy is not ready to admit this possibility, we certainly have sparks flying between Triana and Remy. But Remy has to keep his wolfish tendencies to himself, because he doesn't want to scare Triana away. Because, although Triana's mother has a shop with all kinds of voodoo, spiritual gifts and even a wolf pendant, Triana (as a scientist) is not into believing strange phenomenons, let alone strange creatures as werewolfs.
What she does believe, is that the private detective she has hired, will be able to help solve her father's murder. Because although her father had some shady businesses, there was no reason to kill him. But as facts about her father's death become more and more strange and unsettling, Triana's mother is hassled by some scary guys to give her the wolf pendant. Why is Triana's mother so determined to hide this pendant? And what was the real reason behind the death of her father? As the truth draws nearer and the scary guys close in, Remy has to do the one thing, he didn't wish to do: show his claws. Can the scientist in Triana accept Remy's existence? Or not?
Completely in Paige Tyler style, this one was yet again funny, fastpaced and with the change of scenery, refreshing. And did I mention full of yummy hot werewolfs?
So off course: four out of five stars from me! Already awaiting: Wolf Hunger (Book 7)!
