Boone Brux went with the obvious approach. Properly Groomed is a theme every romance reader is familiar with, but still can't get enough of. The exotic animal and the unusual dog were a nice touch. Comfort, laughter and happily every after are all there for me to enjoy in Ms. Brux's stories.
Cute short and fluffy. Very low on angst, high in sweet and steamy. I would have liked to see a little more push and pull before they got together, and more tension in the end, but certainly this was a fun diversion for a winter afternoon.
Forbidden love. Best friend and his best friend's little sister. What's not to love? Waking up on the wrong side of your brother's best friend's bed could prove to be the best thing to ever happen or the worst. The story starts off with a bang, and leaves you wondering what is become of the situation Joya found herself in.
Properly Groomed was such a cute story! I loved the witty banter between Joya and Linc. Their chemistry was smoking hot and steamy! It's well-written and always kept me hanging onto every word they said.
This is my first book by Boone Brux and it won't be the last! Her writing captivates you. Before you know, you've read the whole book in one sitting!
The story opens up slowly like a flower coming into bloom. In its own time.Yes - it has a predictable ending. That's the whole point of picking this type of read. I want the girl to get the guy. I want love to conquer all. I definitely want my happily ever after to happen to the girl next door. Because it gives me hope that it could happen for me.
Score: 4/5

This was a cute novella about Joya and her brothers best friend, Linc. They've resisted their attraction for years but when they are thrown together for two weeks in the same house, all bets are off.
It you want something light, fun and a bit of spice to read, this fits the bill. ARC provided by NetGalley.
Cute, fun, "forbidden" romance. It could use a bit more back story to them growing up and the crushes they both had. I needed a bit more about Dash too. I should look to see if this is part of a series, b/c it feels like it might be a side story to a main one and while it does "stand alone" it could help understanding the characters a bit more.
