I was given the opportunity via NetGalley to read an electronic copy of Nikki White: Polar Extremes. I voluntarily chose to review this book and my opinion is freely given.
Nikki Janicek has no control over her own life, as her future is effectively owned by The Bridge — a space-obsessed company that uses manipulation techniques and extreme measures to rule over people. Abducted and forced into a training camp in Antarctica, with an ultimate goal of going to Mars, Nikki must learn to deal with a former foe and to outsmart her captors.
I do like a main character with mental toughness and determination, which defines Nikki to a tee. The problem that I have with this novel is that it seems to suffer from an identity crisis. The series starts out with a thwarted school shooting and eventually leads Nikki into the clutches of a sci-fi cult. Add in romantic interests and the result is a fractured plot with no meaningful story behind it. There is a gem here, but the plot is muddied by the romantic angle and the multiple foes. Overall, I like Nikki, but I am not enamored with her story. For these reasons, I would be hesitant to recommend Nikki White: Polar Extremes to other readers.
entertaining and plot twisting book, with a different development of nikki than i expected from the first two books, but in a good way.
defiantly worth a read if you enjoyed the first two books in this series!
I unfortunately was not able to read this book before the archive date. Someday I hope to read and review it for my blog. I will give a 5 star review on here so that I don't mess with it's rating.
This book definitely blew away my expectations and I .didn't know what to expect or where this was going and I certainly didn't expect that ending!
I started this without realizing it was the 3rd in the series but I was very captivated immediately, can't wait to go back and read the first 2, what a magical story!
When I first started this book, I didn't realize that it was part of a series. I was actually a little over halfway through before I was told by a friend that it was book 3! Man, I'd messed up! I kept reading though because, despite being the third book, I was invested in the story. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and the pacing was perfect to keep me engaged. So, now I need to go buy books one and two!
-Update now that I have read all three!
This was a continuation of the wild ride from book two. Nikki just gets herself into some weird places. I didn't know what to expect or where this was going and I certainly didn't expect that ending. Ok, no spoilers for this one so...just read it and enjoy the crazy!
Nikki White Polar Extremes is the third book from the Nikki Series. I feel honored to review the entire series and now I can say this one is my favorite.
The book was full of twists and turns, which makes it more exciting to read. There were also heart stopping events on the first and last part of this book, it literally made me curse (i don't curse). LOL. Anyway, back to my review, Nikki stayed in South Pole for her Mars expedition training, I could say it wasn't easy -- I think I will die there though -- and the appalling part? her companion, I think that was the challenging part, Nikki was forced to be with him. They're the "chosen one" for this expedition but despite these tricky incidents, I ship them both! *fangirling*. Nikki here is more of a fighter, she changed a lot from book one.
I would love to reveal who I'm talking to so bad but I think it's better for you guys to find out. I'm still swooning between Nikki and that guy. This book left an open ending though it was a happy one.
Before I end this review, I would like to thank Jack Chaucer for trusting me this book. I loved every books, from Streaks of Blue, Nikki Blue: Source of Trouble and now this book, Nikki Blue: Polar Extremes. Every book was worth reading and I could say I enjoyed Nikki's adventures. She's the type of person who will fight for what's right and that's what I really love about her. So, once again, thank you Jack Chaucer, I'll be waiting for more Nikki stories. *hopefully there'll be more*
PS. it's hard not to spoil the readers!

This is the 3rd book in the series, and I am late joining the party as its the first one I have read, I wish I'd read the others because I like Nikki and would enjoy reading more. This one was in a cool setting literally and was interesting, the pace was great and so was the story don't want to give much away but for me this book was well worth a read. Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review.
