If I can't root for the characters, I can't finish the book. I just didn't like them.

I appreciate the opportunity to review. Sorry for the long delay in feedback. I'm working on clearing out my Netgalley backlog. I am DNF'ing all books that just don't work within the first 50-100 pages. Trying to find the joy in reading again by going through the hundreds of abandoned books here.

I enjoyed the change of pace in this book from a YA Romance to being based on girls friendship., 3 main characters;, Caddy Rosie and Suzanne. It definitely gives you all the feels of high school, jealousy, being a 3rd wheel and also the lightness of life back then. It was a great take back to high school and friendship that I really enjoyed!

Thoroughly disliked this book. The premise is interesting but the characters are so shallow and petty I could barely make it to the end.

This YA book tells about three English girls who are friends and how helping someone isn't always clear cut or even a good way forward. The characters in this story were so shatteringly real, so up close and personal, it was difficult to look away, or put the book down. I thought this was a terrific story.
