It was a good read but a difficult read because of the subject matter. Although it was fiction it was heart breakingly real

Definitely a page turner! I had to speed through Playlist for a Paper Angel as I was dying to know the end. I thoroughly enjoyed Random acts of Unkindness last year when I read it. Jacqueline Ward has developed an excellent character in DS Jan Pearce and I’m so glad she has turned it into a series. You don’t have to read the first book to enjoy this one. They will act as standalone novels, but I’m sure once you have read one you will want to read the other.
I will just warn you that the author is brutally honest in the way she describes the crimes and scenes in the book. Much research must have been completed to tell us it the way it is. The plot is clever, thrilling and just disturbing. Not for the faint hearted, but enthralling for me.
