Fast-paced, sexy and erotic enough to be bordering on vulgar, Thrust is a perfect read to get your heart racing and other parts squirming. Alex Vega is sinfully sexy, commanding and just damaged enough to make you love him. Olivia is a good girl with a dirty side just begging to be brought out. Throw in some past trauma to keep things interesting, and this story of a high-class call-guy and the sweet girl who steals his heart is one for keeps. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Thrust by Sybil Bartel is one fantastic and sexy book that will have you hooked from the first page. I'm not sure if its part of a series but if it is then sign me up to read both Rough (Jared) and Grind (Dane) when they come out. I haven't read a male escort book prior this one but trust me this one is well worth the read.

Alexander Vega aka Vegas is a male escort, former Marine who along with his friends Jared and Dane run a very profitable business that gives him that seven figured income that he invests wisely. However, when one of his ladies invites him to a fund raiser for veterans (at a fee of course) where he meets Olivia who immediately sets his motor running. But when a cat fight breaks out at the event, it isn't Alex who is hurt the most but Olivia. But once he has Olivia just once, she's like a drug that he needs to have more than once.

Olivia Toussaint wants to help out veterans with her charity that gives them emotional support dogs. She has unresolved guilt from the death of her brother who took his own life after returning home from Afghanistan. But little does she know that Alex doesn't intend to ruin her art auction but he'll do anything to fix what happened even buy the most awful paintings he's ever seen. But when she finds out what his real job is will she be able to understand and forgive? But when a hurricane hits Miami, Alex rescue her and her dogs: Charlie, Merry and Sparks. Will they be able to get beyond what she feels is his betrayal? There is a side story of her childhood friend Jesse who suddenly wants more from her and both Talon and Neil make cameo appearances from Ms. Bartel's other series.

There is mild BDSM, a lot of sex and my only wish is for just a little more back story of Olivia's veteran's charity but I'm looking forward to Jared's book in the spring. All in all I'd give the book 4.8 stars.

Honestly, i didn't expect to enjoy this book that much!!! And I'm so glad that Mrs. Bartel proved me wrong!!!
Usually, I don't like so much this kind of stories with male escorts and so much sex, but in here there were more things than that!!!
My only objection was the pace of the story... Damn it, but everything were moving sooooo fast!!!!
And that's the reason why i cut one star... But let me tell you more about this story!!!

Alex Vega thinks that he is a gift for women!!! And that's why he is offering himself in exchange of money... After all he was a 5 year plan to excel!!!
Alex thinks that he is the best and that he has the magical c**k!!!
God, until the 30% of the book, I wanted to punch this guy!!!
He was too cocky, too arrogant for my tastes and honestly, i thought that in no way he couldn't save it... But he managed to make me like him!!!! Even though that he was keeping frustrate the hell out of me!!! Bahahaha...

Olivia was living with guilts and she had devoted her life to a single cause and that's why she had put so much energy to this fundraiser about dogs who could help Vet's with PTDA... And everything were going perfect, until this infuriating man made everything a fucking mess!!!
Now, everything that she had worked for had vanished and she is about to make the biggest mistake of her life!!!!

Alex and Olivia's lives got complicated when they collided together... but they just couldn't stay away from each other even though that they tried!!!! Mostly Olivia tried but her willing weren't that strong!!! Alex was a predator who couldn't leave his prey alone!!!
I loved the way that they were bickering and i liked the way that they were together...
The sex between them was also very hot and i love that beyond that there were more depth, because the things felt more real!!!!
The only thing that i didn't like was that everything were moving very fast between them!!!! Like the strike of a lightning!!!

I won't tell you more because i don't like to make spoilers, but i really enjoyed this book... It was light, sexy, funny and at times, sweet!!!
Except from the main two characters, I also liked very much the three adorable dogs and ... Talon!!!
I really have to read his book!!!
I also can't wait for Dane's book!!! He intrigued me very much!!!!

After reading the synopsis of this book, I was intrigued enough to read this book. The hero is a jerk and I found it difficult to like him. Their beginning does not start off the greatest. The heroine has her own set of issues, that being his career. The sex scenes were hot. She is different then what he is used to, but is exactly what he needs to heal him and make him complete. He is exactly what she needs, in a time she needs it the most. Her friend was not someone I liked nor want to see again in future books. I had to read some into their story before the hero started to grow on me. There were some moments that the heroine did not sit too well with me either. She was judgmental and irritating after a while.These two had some large hurtles to jump to get their HEA, but they did eventually get it. There were many times I wanted to shake them and tell them to get with it. This story was just an okay read for me.I just never really connected to the characters or to the story.

Okay, there are some seriously screwed up characters in this story. Our bad-boy “H” gets the hots for our sweet but sexy, curvy “h” and is ready to give up his bad-boy ways in their first meeting. This doesn’t keep him from misbehaving but he eventually tries to rescue her - by basically cleaning up the mess he caused in the first place. Actually, he’s always trying to rescue her, and not always in the most gentlemanly of ways.

One of the things I liked about their story was that Olivia had his number from the beginning, and wasn’t afraid of letting him know exactly what she thought – no shrinking violet. And, I liked that Alex liked this about her. And, of course there’s lots and lots of steam.

Besides all the screwed up primary and secondary characters in this story, which could be a good thing or bad thing in any novel, there were really two things I didn’t like.
1) Too much gratuitous cussing (from everyone), I sometimes had to re-read a passage to understand the dialogue.
2) The H put a lot of emphasis on the h’s beauty, how perfect her body was and that should could be a model. For first attraction – fine, but by emphasizing this throughout the story, it makes you wonder how he’ll feel in a few years as looks fade and gravity takes over. Regardless of the alpha/erotica component, it would have been nice if more was made of how he began to see her heart.

Hot, Wild, Wicked and Wonderful…did I mention HOT? This was a book that I could not put down once I started reading it.

As I read a few of the characters sounded familiar so I checked and found that I had read about them in the Uncompromising Series and wondered if this was another in the series or just a sidebar novel that needed to be told…whatever it is…it enthralled me. And, I can hardly wait to read whatever Sybil Bartel writes next.

Many romance novels that I have recently read have dealt with men who come home from war and their ability or inability to deal with what they have experienced. In this book the main character, Alex Vega, came up with his own way of taking control – he became a male escort – providing services for money. He had a five year plan and was doing well for himself until he met Olivia Toussaint. Yes, she turned his world upside down and made him rethink his life, his plans and a whole lot more. And Alex managed to shake Olivia’s life up, too.

Alex may seem cold and clinical in some ways but underneath it all he does seem to care about some of his clients and look out for them so when Olivia appears on the scene it is not totally surprising that he acts, reacts to, shares with and cares for her as he does. Olivia is a strong woman who thinks she knows who and what she needs but Alex makes her reassess and then make decisions that will have a huge impact on her and her plans.

There is a lot that happens in this book – in and out of the bedroom. This is a love story that was deeper than I expected it to be and one that I gladly recommend to others – unless they don’t like mature reading of an erotic nature. It made me think and feel and care and then want in more ways than one. Great characters, great story – just great!

Now the cover made me stop and look!! (Isn't that what it is suppose to do?) Then I read the description!!! Yes, please with a side of Hell Yeah! I did not know what to expect, execution can be hard for some authors. Let it be said NOT THIS ONE! I sat down and opened my e-reader and never put it back down. The characters are strong and it does not feel rushed. Everything has its place. Talon seems like a character I would like to know. This one did not disappoint. DNF at 18% - I love a good erotica novel but this one didn't do it for me. It's hard to get connected to a story when you dislike both main characters.

Always the same - hot guy, hot body, don't give a fuck attitude, douche - hot girl, hot body, falls for said douche.

Olivia said several times she thought Alex was a douche. I mean I see why, I cringed at their first interaction, he was. She knew that he was involved with her boss and STILL made out with him minutes later? What? Ok, that does nothing for me. She knew he was some sort of escort, loves-the-ladies type of guy, and she fell for him.

He was not attractive at all and she was just stupid.

Not for me.

I fell in love with the characters from the first page. This author has a fab way of giving you amazing characters. This is a sweet story of love at first sight. This story is told in both points of view, giving you an insight into both main characters feelings. This book is steamy with lots of drama and emotions thrown in. this is fast paced story that will keep you reading long into the night. I cant wait to read more from this amazing author in the future.
