I was so excited to find out that Kyle was getting his own book after his appearance in Bridger's book, but unfortunately, this one fell flat for me. It was ok, but it was lacking the excitement of Wicked Bond (and I mean beyond the physical relationship).
Jane was a somewhat interesting character, but she felt one-dimensional and a bit cliche. Kyle was what I pictured him to be, but even that wasn't enough to carry the book for me.
I love most of Sawyer Bennett's books, so I will definitely be reading more from her; I just didn't love this one.
Kyle finds himself in a small town in Maine while waiting for a trial to begin from a case that he had worked. He had witnessed things that you don't come back from, things that would get a normal person killed for seeing, and he barely got out of there. He is being hidden from anyone that could recognize him and turn him in to the bad guys.
Jane is living her quit life in Maine, teaching art, trying to figure it all out. Her new neighbor, taking care of the lighthouse, has been mysterious and that is killing her. She wants to be friendly. She leaves a basket of treats for him but gets nothing in return.
Eventually Kyle's loneliness and his curiosity for his neighbor leaves him wanting to find out more about her, to get to know her. These two play a little dance but eventually end up together and happy.
Kyle's past quickly catches up to them both and Jane is involved in a situation she doesn't understand. Kyle finds himself being in love but back to his life before Jane trying to put those bad guys away.
Sawyer as always knows how to place us there in the story and keep us there on our tippy toes trying to see what happens next. This story was excellent, loved every part of it.
I have had this book on my TBR for over a year and just never got around to reading it and technologically I still haven’t read it but I did listen to the audio of the book. I am upset with myself for waiting so long to know this stand alone book. Kyle is someone that truly needs help finding himself and Jane is just the perfect person to help him realize that the things he has done are redeemable.
The narrators did an awesome job providing the voices for Kyle and Jane along with all the other characters in the book. I really was able to visualize the scenes and what was happening. There were times I was laughing along especially at times when Jane would give us one of her movie quotes. The story flowed and the characters were realistic. I enjoyed seeing both Kyle and Jane grow and the development of their relationship.
This was a very difficult book to have to turn off and was trying to find extra ways to listen to the book. Besides laughing along with Jane’s movie lines, there are things that are not easy topics and at the same time keep you in suspense. The story was not predictable at parts and I love that in books. It kept me guessing with what was going to happen next.
While this is a stand alone book, I saw somewhere that Kyle is a supporting character in another book by the author and I am very interested in going back to read this book. Plus, I need to read Kyle’s sister’s book to see if he makes an appearance in her story. I am looking forward to more from this author and I really hope that we get more from the supporting characters in this book.
Love everything Sawyer Bennett!
Loved Kyle Sommerville!
I really enjoy books by Sawyer Bennett and this book seems to be a little different that the ones that I have read but still good read. Still have the steamy scenes, the drama, and the alpha male.
I was given a ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sawyer Bennett always seems to surprise and please me with her characters and storytelling. I have to admit when I started Finding Kyle I was a little nervous about Kyle's past and started to doubt my feelings for Kyle but I'm so happy I stayed in Maine with Kyle and Jane to see them both grow in their own ways. The character development for Kyle is real and he shows that he was willing to improve on himeself and share about his past with Jane, for her to leave the truth about him even if she was disgusted by it, he needed her to know.
I went into this book not knowing that that crosses over with two series that are on my TBR list and I will be reading those two series to get the full effect of Finding Kyle. I also hope there's more books to come in continuation of those series. Excellent book, with swoon worthy romance, and suspense!! 5 star worthy!!
Sweet, sexy and intriguing! Loved this Sawyer Bennett book!! The story was so good and very different from your typical Sawyer book. I absolutely loved Jane!! She was so quirky and determined! This is another must-read from Sawyer!!
Sawyer Bennett can do no wrong. It's official. Finding Kyle is one of those books where it could have been wrapped up in a pretty little bow and a little too neatly, but that's not Sawyer's style. What she's done with Kyle and Jane's story is make them work for it. She made Kyle almost a little unbearable at first, but seeing Jane knock down every single wall he built up was the utmost of delights.
Jane was quick-witted and adorable. Kyle was sexy as sin and gruff. Together they shouldn't have meshed so well, but their chemistry was undeniable and just flat out swoon-worthy and ridiculously passionate. I loved every minute of Kyle and Jane together. A tortured and somewhat aloof hero turns into an alpha who lives and breathes for his woman. And a spit-fire heroine stays her path and learns to open up to the man who can make her an even better version of herself.
Finding Kyle is a wonderful, funny, intense, and somewhat suspenseful novel that will have readers grasping for the previously loosely connected titles and the other titles by this author because they are all int he same thread of fantastic.
Finding Kyle by Sawyer Bennett was a bit of a surprise for me. Kyle Sommerville had been an intriguing background character in Wicked Bond and in all honesty I thought he had died! It would seem Sawyer wanted to save him from all the bad things he had to do as an undercover ATF agents and he's got his own HEA in typical fun and sexy Sawyer Bennett style
Kyle and Jane meet as neighbours when Kyle is sent to Maine to hide out and he has too much time on his hands enabling him to dwell on the things he did to survive during his undercover assignment. Redemption comes in the form of Jane, his neighbour
I really liked Jane because, although I like a bit of angst, it was nice to have a female lead who wasn't too broken, or needed saving. Jane was a genuinely happy person and her bad baking skills was something I could relate to.
Needless to say, the writing was excellent, with lots of great banter and lots of super hot chemistry. This is a great, fun, sexy, hot read about opposites attracts and redemption and is a sweet and fun way for a grumpy man to get his HEA

Kyle Sommerville is hiding in a small town in Maine as a lighthouse groundskeeper. His plan is to stay under the radar until the trial happens that will give him back his life, or at least a part of it. What Kyle didn't expect was is determined neighbor who rambles movie quotes and doesn't seem to understand the word no.
Kyle tries to stay away as he knows he is a tarnished soul to Jane's sweet and innocent charm. Jane though seems to find every loophole to spend time with Kyle and he can only resist so much. Kyle makes Jane understand whatever they have will end, he is leaving but Jane hopes to change his mind. Of course she doesn't know anything about Kyle's past and when it comes knocking at her door, she doesn't know who to trust.
There is a lot to this story, I mentioned a few of the highlights but loved Jane she is quirky and you can't help smile every time she interacts with Kyle. I don't envy Kyle, he did what he had to do but you sense he holds a lot of shame and guilt about it. Stand out book for Sawyer Bennett, one of my favorites.
I love this author land her so when I saw this book I knew I wanted to read it!This one was sweet but also a little bit slow for my taste. There were moments it was a little bit boring but generally it was ok .

Standalone yet kind of a spinoff
My Finding Kyle Review . . .
Kyle Sommerville was once deep undercover and now he's hiding waiting for the trial to be over. Now in a small quaint town the last thing he needs is to be attracted to his gorgeous and quirky neighbor, Jane Cresson.
Jane's instantly drawn to her mysterious handsome neighbor and she's determined to win him over. Even with her rock like muffins.
"Well, you're a very interesting guy. You're dark and mysterious. Reclusive yet very intriguing. I'd say you've got a haunted past, and I'm kind of drawn to that."
Kyle's eyes burned into mine. "Why would you ever be drawn to that?"
I shrug. "Because I want good things for good people, I guess."
Kyle tries to fight his attraction to Jane since he knows this is not a permanent situation but Jane and her quirky persistent ways burrow under his skin causing Kyle to cave into everything that is Jane. However, he's adamant that all that it can be between them is a fling.
The more their fling goes on the more they both fall so when what he's hiding from comes knocking at his door, he realizes that Jane can be hurt. With this realization he knows he needs to leave sooner than later but it may be too late for them and their hearts.
I knew Kyle seemed familiar but I completely forgot that we already met him in two other series. Once I figured it out it all made so much more sense to me. However, the other stories aren't needed to read this book as it is considered a standalone.
I originally thought this book was going to be a bit more of a romantic suspense with Kyle being an undercover officer but it was a pure love story with a dash of suspense and it completely filled me up with warmth and love. I absolutely adored it and loved everything about Kyle and Jane. Sawyer Bennett has once again written a great story that you can't put down and fall in love with the characters.
4 Finding Each Other Thumbs up!
Sawyer Bennett Delivers again!! 5 awesome stars- I never cease to be amazed by the depth of emotion Sawyer puts into her books! Her characters are so "real" by the end of the book, I feel like I am losing a friend. Amazing book!!
One of my all time favorite books. You will see why. Go grab it. LOVED KYLE
Kyle Sommerville (Harding) was brought back from the dead and that's freaking amazing. OMG!! I honestly didn't see this one coming and I love it!!
After bringing down the members of the MC Club Mayhem's Mission, Kyle awaits their trial to testify against them, but in order to succeed he needs to go into hiding and that's how he ends up as a caretaker of a lighthouse where he keeps to himself.
Jane Cresson is Kyle's neighbor. She's persistent, quirky, sweet, stubborn, smart and very determined on putting down his walls and conquer his heart even though he's trying his hardest to ignore her and keep her away for her own good. Besides, after all the hideous things he did while working undercover he feels undeserving of anything good coming his way.
I love the chemistry and connection that develops between Jane and Kyle and just how perfect and right they are for each other!!
The interaction and dialogues between the Kyle and Jane are hilarious. The story is well-written and beautifully balanced with humor, romance, angst, suspense, action and much more capturing all emotions in a brilliant way. The cast of characters are likeable, believable, and just great.
I just love it when an author is capable of pulling their reader's heart strings, and Author Sawyer Bennett is one of them!!
Finding Kyle was one of my Top 5 Most Anticipated Reads for 2017 and one of the Best Books I have read so far! I highly recommend it!!
A Darkly Awesome Tale
Sawyer Bennett delivers a darker more emotional tale in Finding Kyle. It is naturally awesome but different from others styles previously published.
Kyle has a complex past full of secrets that play a big part in who he is now.
Jane is a ray of sunshine in comparison and intent on unravelling the complex and brooding Kyle.
Loved every minute of this very interesting look at human emotions and how lost we can get at times.
I have been intrigued with Kyle for a while in Sawyer Bennett's books. He has always been a background character, and I am so excited that he has a standalone now. It definitely did not disappoint. The emotion from Kyle was absolutely heartbreaking. I wanted to hug him through most of the story. I absolutely thought Jane was perfect for him and loved the way she brought him out slowly. It is a beautiful story and I was holding my breath through most of it. I could not put this book down and can't wait to read the next story from Ms. Bennett who is definitely becoming one of my favorite authors.
"Finding Kyle" by Sawyer Bennett. Once again, Ms. Bennett has taken the reader on a journey of self discovery, love and the quest for happiness. Our amazing couple, Kyle and Jane, couldn't be more different. Kyle is dark and broody while Jane is quirky, bright and cheery. I adored both. There is a well balanced mixture of dark and light, happy and sad, and love and angst. Jane is the epitome of light while Kyle only can view himself as the dark. Will they be able to meet in the middle? Will Kyle only create darkness for Jane? Or will Jane lighten his world to see hope and love once again? My heart hurt for both of these characters at times, especially Kyle, also was jumping with joy for them as well. Ms. Bennett has an uncanny knack to create stories that envelop the reader, heart and soul.
Ms. Bennett has proven time and time again that she is an amazingly talented author and "Finding Kyle" only proves that once more. I would say the only reason this didn't earn that last half star was the ending - it seemed to be a bit too smooth for me, but then again, maybe I just didn't want it to end. I have to admit I wasn't sure how I'd like this book from one of my favorite authors as it's a slight departure from her previous books. Well, I'm here to tell you I LOVED IT!!! The fact that I knew who Kyle was as I've been aware of him in previous books so getting his complete story kept me enthralled from beginning to end.
I loved Jane and the way she drew Kyle out of his shell. A shell he felt was deserved as he's in hiding and he's quite ashamed of his participation in actions that have caused him to be thought of as "dead". These two were so good together.
As I've come to expect with any book written by Ms. Bennett, the characters were so well developed and thought out, the story moved at a pace that was perfect for this book and not once did I ever have the feeling of this isn't believable or it was over the top. The writing is clean and sharp as well.
Don't get me wrong this isn't an all roses and rainbows story. There's a darkness to Kyle that he needs to get resolved before he feels he can give Jane the life she so deserves. This is a book that will definitely be a re-read for me!
This book was 3 maybe 3.5 stars for me.. I just never fell in love... so we won' be running a review
