There are so many ways this book can be read. I read it cover to cover once, but I intend to go back and read particular passages -- choosing topics that speak to me at a given time. This could also be a "read-one-entry-per-day" devotional. Each section is very short and includes a passage from the Bible, a few sentences to ponder, and a short prayer to say. It could be used alone or as the start of a prayer session or Bible study. The language is straightforward and easy to understand, with plenty of questions about the reader's own thoughts/behaviors to ruminate on.

The Irish Jesuits do a lovely job with compiling titles like this one. I am always looking for EASY ways to include more prayer or reflection time in my life.

The selections are short enough to not take too much time to read. However, they usually provoke deeper thoughts that will come with me throughout the day. I especially like that this isn't a start on page 1 and work your way through the book. Instead, I can find the theme that I most need to ruminate and jump right to it.

Seventy brief scripture-based reflections, lend this text spiritual depth without feeling too dense. For those readers looking for a way to begin meditating on the Scriptures without being overwhelmed by complicated thesis, this is the perfect beginner's book.

70 short but packed chapters or reflections make up this mighty little book. Each chapter is made up of a Gospel reading, short reflection and prayer. Each chapter is given a descriptive title like "When I feel unseen and Insignificant" or "Sometimes the Temple Needs Cleaning" or "Am I afraid to Surrender".
I used this book during my morning quiet time and it allowed me to carry the reflection as well as my own take away with me throughout the day. I love that you don't have to read the chapters in order. The day I felt unheard, I could read "Can I trust God to Hear Me" and a take away to meditate on during my day.
The chapters are short so they can be used where time is limited but they are packed with thought provoking words.

Interesting comforting explanations via Bible versus for Catholics seeking reassurance courage. Lacking an Irish tone, perhaps due to being edited by an American. Or just that Jesuits all sound the same no matter where they come from or preach.
