Gina had driven from San Francisco to Marieta with her baby boy Fisher who was eighteen months old. . All Gina owned was in the car. She was a mail order bride. Gina hoped she wasn’t making the worst decision of her life. His voice over the phone lured her into another time and place. One where she was safe and secure. Callie’s loser boyfriend had died from a drug overdose when Callie had been pregnant. Rory had already set up a mail order bride- Gina- for himself but his brothers didn’t know. Rory didn’t know Gina had a child as she hadn’t told him. Rory was ready to send her back but she had no money and nowhere to go really. Rory decided to just let her stay and see if they might go.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a very enjoyable read. But this drag some for me at times, I loved how determined and strong Gina was. I love how Rory was willing to let Gina stay and even give them a chance when she hadn’t told him about Fisher. I advise that you read the first book of this series first. This book had : drama, turmoil, mail order brides, unexpected baby, loser for a boyfriend, widowed hot sheriff, and so much more. I loved Rory’s soft spot for people who needed help. Fisher definitely adds to this book. I love the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.

I would have given this 2 to 2.5 stars but I loved the main female characters kiddo, so it got bumped up to a 3. The premise of the book was cute, a younger brother sees how well his oldest brother's marriage to his mail order bride is doing and decides it's the best thing for him for his second marriage. I'm not sure when this became the new romance trope but I like it better than the step brother one from a few years ago. There was a HEA in the end, though the couple had some issues, it was a bit instalovey but I expect that from a book like this. The ending was a bit rushed, the big problem that was meant to bring drama to the story really didn't fit due to how it seemed to be thrown in at the last minute for extra stress to the couple. My biggest issue is the author is from New Zealand and the American characters kept using slang from that area of the world. She needs a better editor to catch the differences in the slang. I would like to read the rest of the series just to see what happens with the rest of the brothers.

This was perfect catnip for me plot-wise, however the writing was a bit of a letdown. The biggest thing for me was that it was hard to figure out when this story was supposed to be happening, the trope said historical, but the setting seemed to be contemporary... though I wouldn't really say it was happening in the 2010's.

The plot went on for too long, even though the problems they were ultimately solved very quickly.

Mmmm a bit too much of a sweet romance for me but it was an okay read.

Will Rory send her away or will he get more than he ever expected.

This was an enjoyable read. A great mail-order bride romance with misconceptions, secrets, and learning to trust again.

I found the book to be well-written and interesting. Good solid romance.

Overall a good story, and one that was hard to put down. Gina is a single mother, who answers the add for a mail order bride in Marietta, Montana. Rory, a widower, is surprised by the little toddler, as he didn't know about him before Gina shows up. The little boy quickly becomes everyone's favorite, but then his grandparents start a lawsuit, and it gets a little ugly at times. The story premise is fine, and of course there is a HEA, but the thing that irritated me at times was Rory. He is so quick to lash out and mistrust her, and say hurtful things, yet no one really calls him on it. He also mentions several times about how much he hates lies, but it is never really explained why he does so. I can only assume that the dead wife was cheating on him or something, but it is never stated. Other than a few minor issues, I really liked this story, characters and writing. Would highly recommend.

Gina was leaving everything behind and headed to Montana to find her husband. She was answering an ad in a newspaper. She wanted to start a new life with stable husband and a home for her little boy Fisher.
When Rory came back to Marrietta to start over, he was living with his brother and his newly wife. Their happiness rubbed off on him and he wanted companion after losing his wife. Since it worked for his brother, he decided to do the same by putting an ad.
Gina barely made to address that was given but she was three days early and out of gas and money. When she was faced with home , she couldn't believe what she signed up for.
Rory finally meets with Gina but surprise to know Gina had a son. He was not ready to give her a chance but when he hears her story he couldn't just send them back, they decided to try out and see where it goes.
Fisher is such a wonderful baby and he is bonding with everyone his family. Rory always wanted to have a kid and Fisher is warming his heart faster than ever.
Everything going well for both and they are ready to make a family when Gina is faced with bitter custody battle with her ex-boyfriends parents.
Rory is faced with another challenge but he is this fight with Gina as a family and he would do anything to protect both Gina and Fisher. Will they finally find their happiness????

It was really delightful story and I really liked Gina and Rory especially Fisher..

The book was a cute fairly short story. Rory places an ad for a bride because he does not want to go thru the process of dating, but he wanted a companion since he was lonely since he lost his wife three years earlier. Gina, is a really sweet heroine and I liked her, she was a really decent person, and great mother, she answers Rory's ad and shows up earlier than what they had agreed on as meeting day, along with her baby Fisher, with the only last bit of money she had left, poor girl was completely broke. Rory was upset since she had never mentioned Fisher to him, and so they have trust issues to deal with, even though he wasn't truthful either. Fairly quickly they fall in love, and have to deal with problems, right off the bat, but they stand united to deal with them, even though Rory questioned himself a couple of times. I have to admit that at times I wanted to slap him, but he didn't let her go, which was smart of him. Loved Callie and Chase, plan on reading their book, so alls well that ends well.

He wasn’t expecting Gina to turn up early and with a baby in her arms! She kept her son’s existence secret and he neglected to inform her about the run down property that he hopes will be their home after it has lots of work done on it. With both of them hiding things from the other, can love find a way to bring them together? There are other surprises in store and much to be worked through before there’s any chance of them achieving their HEA together!

This is a delightful read with reasons for everyone’s behaviours and attitudes, their back stories and reactions explained through the story. There’s plenty of drama, trauma and turmoil before anything can work out, making it an intriguing but charming romance set in the scenic Montana countryside. The community has some brilliant secondary characters in it - I loved the priest! A great book to escape into - I'll certainly be endeavouring to look out for the next in the series, 'The Doctor's Husband'!

Cute little beach read book about a cowboy who writes an ad for a wife becasue his brother did that and ended up with the love of his life. This story was fine, nothing that fired up my senses. I wasn't sure why the lead female was so upset about the run down house - the explanation was unsatisfactory but I did understand the male's POV on her not telling hi about her child.

I'll recommend this book to my listers and readers. Thanks for letting me review this book.

The Sheriff’s Mail-Order Bride is an emotional story that I enjoyed very much. Rory is a rock solid kinda guy, one who believes in all cards on the table. When Gina showed up answering his ad… well, there’d been absolutely no mention of a baby being part of their deal. Gina has hit almost rock bottom and she’ll do anything for the well being and protection of her son… even answering an ad for a bride. Maybe she’s crazy or maybe she’s found that safe haven she dreamed of. Only time and Rory can answer that. And when even more omissions come to light it’s going to take a rock solid kind of love to get these three through to the happy ever after they deserve.

The Sheriff's Mail Order Bride has been quite an enjoyable read. Short and sweet, this story brings single mother Gina and her baby son from San Francisco to Marietta, where she's hoping to start a new and better life as the wife of Deputy Sheriff Rory Watson.
There were a few things that irritated me as I was reading, chief among them being the use of cliches like "slick folds" and "buried balls deep" in the sex scenes. A bit of originality would have been nice. I also felt that Gina and Rory moved from their bristly start together to being head over heels in love a little too fast. There didn't seem to be much transition time. The lack of smooth transition was also apparent late in the story.
Despite these little issues I whizzed through the book and had it finished in a few hours. Overall, not a bad read.

A mail order bride story sounded intriguing, but there are too many easy options chosen by the author and no real excitement. This is a pleasant book with which to spend a couple of hours, but ultimately nothing memorable.

A great story. Gina is a single mom and on her last dollar answers an ad for a mail order bride. She packs everything up and moves to Marietta Montana to marry Rory, the sheriff and widower of three years. The only problem is she didn't tell him about her baby. Gina will not give up and a very hard worker. Soon the marriage of convenience becomes much more.

This is the second story in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Great story telling, that will keep you turning the pages. Loved the determination of Gina, not to give up. Can't wait to read the next story in the series. I highly recommend this book!!

A poignant story in a unique setting for a modern day romance, where arranged marriages are helping Montana cowboys to find their HEA.
Gina, a single mom, is a true survivor, she has managed to make it despite the circumstances with a sheer strength of will and utter determination. She is not used to asking or getting any help with anything she has had to face in life, so accepting aid or support is something she has to learn to obtain. I love her guts, she strength, and her adventures spirit.
Rory, a widow, is a true alpha man, one of four brothers raised by a single dad, whose drinking and morose after their mother's death shake the family dynamics and causes irk, even affecting the relationships today. Rory is protective, take-charge man, who has a soft spot for those in trouble. His has been mourning for his wife for three years and is now taking unique steps to find companionship for the rest of his days. He has a hard time trusting Gina, his quick emotional reactions cause him to act before reflection, and his stubbornness made me think of a bull, yet he has a big, caring, generous heart, that beats for those he takes under his wings.
The beginning of the story was filled with emotions, concerns, and careful attraction as Rory and Gina adjust to their new situation, a new life, and a new and different kind of relationship. The feelings go from joy and passion to doubt and aggravation. I liked how the attraction took more and more hold of them and how they were so open about their wants and needs. I was involved with the story and felt the emotional turbulence that was riding at the ranch. But there's a point in the book where it changes its dynamics rather drastically in my opinion, from budding romance to family drama. Some of the big moments in the development of the relationship between Rory and Gina are jumped over, and it is just assumed that they are madly in love while tackling the trouble at their doorsteps.
The secondary characters in the story contributed to the story and were given a considerable amount of screen time and importance to the plot development. They did raise my interest towards the other titles in the series, the Watson brothers are a passionate and a rather temperamental group of fascinating characters.
With an intriguing road to their destiny, Gina and Rory find out that nothing in life comes easy, not even an arranged marriage. With a roll-a-coaster of emotions their tackle the heaps of trouble they face, while learning to trust each other, and test the waters if they could find a way to do life together, make a family, and maybe even learn to love each other. This series gets all the three A's from me: an alluring, absorbing and appealing story

Really enjoyed this story. Would have given it 4 stars had the author developed the love that blossomed between the two main characters. Just could not believe the ups and downs Rory has believing Gina while at the same time wants to marry her. Not believable that they would get married with his lack of faith in Gina and that she would so readily forgive him.

The Sheriff's Mai Order Bride is the first book that I have read by this author. I did not know that this book was part of a series and could be easily read as a stand alone. Rory and Gina's relationship was an unconventional way to start a relationship but the more time they spent together they realize that their feeling for each other are real. Rory and Gina start off slow, learning more about each other but as they spend more time together the more their passion and chemistry grow. This was a quick, easy read and I will be checking out the first book in this series.

Harrison, is emotional, exciting and sexy. This is a well-written story, replete with well-defined characters, some intense situations, and above all, brotherly love. This story focuses on deputy sheriff Rory Watson, and Gina Taylor, an out of work mother on the verge of homelessness.

Gina is a good mom and will do whatever is necessary to provide for Fisher, her eighteen-month-old son. Even if that means answering an ad for a mail-order bride. With the exception of her car, Gina has no money and no job prospects. So on a wing and a prayer, she leaves her hovel in San Francisco for a new life in Marietta, Montana. Rory
wants a wife, but has no desire to date. His older brother Chance found his wonderful wife via an ad, so Rory is very hopeful that he can find his happily ever after as well. Gina comes with a ton of baggage, but her kind heart, determination, and love for her son, endears her to Rory and his family.

This is quite an engaging read. My heart continually ached for Gina, due to her never ending stream of unfortunate circumstances. Her luck takes a turn for the better when she meets Rory. I loved how the author portrayed Fisher, with a cuteness quality that made me smile from ear to ear. There was something about Rory that rubbed me the wrong way, however, I found his willingness to stand by Gina through thick and thin to be beyond commendable. This is the second book from The Watson Brothers series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

The Sheriff's Mail-Order Bride (Watson Brothers, Book 2) by Ann B. Harrison is the first book I have read by this author. I found the Tule Publishing title interesting. This second book in the series reads well as a sand-alone.

Gina is looking for a fresh start while Rory is hoping to find what his brother has. Of course, there are secrets and misconceptions to provide drama and tension between the two. It is an interesting enjoyable story of these two likable characters’ bumpy journey to happiness ever after Marietta style.
