Ever more this is a club I just don't feel like wanting to join. Certainly it's a book you just can't read without a primer.
“Lucifer Vol. 2: Father Lucifer” has beautiful artwork and a main story with potential, but it strays in way too many directions to be cohesive. I’m hoping that the next volume stays with a single storyline. Word of caution: If you’re coming to this comic because of the television show, it is almost completely different. In my opinion, the show is better. Your mileage may vary.
I kind of got excited when i saw that DC and Vertigo were rebooting a lot of there series . Then when i saw that LUCIFER was getting the reboot . I got excited and it to be done by a woman it was even better . In volume two we have Lucifer basically drownin his sorrows in his bar after his epic battle . He is drug back into the fight for control over all of Creation. As he is fighting he sees that the aftershocks of his father's death is taking a toll on everything .
In this new reboot, the authors aren't afraid to play with the big boys . They bring back some characters and plots that were all but lost in other episodes . The story has a lot of action and lots of characters to digest at the begining . As the book progresses you get caught up in all the action that is taken place . You will not put it down .
The novel is a little dark but the art work is amazing . The story flows great and i must say i was sucked into the story line . i love DC and i am so happy that they are rebooting some series . So if you want a good series that has a great reboot check it out
