A gun slinging magic man? What else is needed for a story? Maybe one where this is a wizard on the run from the guild?

A mad affair but a very enjoyable book with including a character with attitude. Much enjoyment had with this book.

I is a good book but I did get lost a couple of times. The flow of the books kind of jumps from one bad thing to another without you knowing why.

Yancy is at it again! Helping out a friend and getting in way over his head! “Stupid moral compass”!!! Of course it is all the fault of The Guild, “those bathrobe-wearing yahoos”! But this time he has unexpected help in the form of FBI Agent Ferraro and her lady balls of steel! And boy do they make a great team!
In the latest epic Yancy adventure there is a tom of his trademark wit, sarcasm and a life lesson the likes of which you have never heard before! And I quote”kids, don’t get lazy and leave the keys in the ignition of your moped or some delinquent bluesman will steal your sh!t”.
I am just in love with Yancy Lazarus and James A. Hunter’s writing of him! The world he lives in is beyond rough but he sure knows how to make you laugh and its usually at the most inappropriate time, which makes it even better!!!

Amazing! Even better than the first book! The story is well-written and characters are amazingly built. I. NEED. TO. FINISH. THIS. SERIES!

I really did like the story. At first I was kind of lost with the trip to Fairy and then the flashbacks. But then it grew on me and I kept finding myself reading more and more.

I loved Yancy's sarcasm and smart mouth. He was a character I really enjoyed reading. Plus Yancy is definitely his own person, and I kinda loved that. I'm really happy that there wasn't a lot of sex. Sometimes authors can over do it. Too much sex in a book just makes the book seem cheap to me. So I'm glad I found a fantasy type that didn't have over loads of explicit scenes.

All in all. Great book and I'll reread it!

Quality follow up to Yancy's story as the world continues to be fleshed out. A nice addition to the urban fantasy landscape with its own unique twists and turns on the genre. Apparently the novellas released that fill in the gaps between, and before, the "episodes" are well worth the read - time to rack them down. Recommended for fans of the genre and those looking for something new (start with #1!).
