This was a great little memoir of life in a small town. While it was focused on him growing up in the baby boom era, some things are still the same even today. I enjoyed reading about this time period even though it's not my usual era of interest history wise. This likely isn't one I will re-read but it was definitely worth giving it a shot. Some of what he wrote about was very funny, while other times it tore at your heart. I think it's a good snapshot of life in that time.
Not what I was expecting, but I'm not sure why. I knew it was going to be a man's memories of growing up in the 50's, but I guess I expected it to have more of a storyline and not be just random memories. It was entertaining at first, but my interest soon waned. I can see this being a treasure for the family and friends of the author.
