I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Josh, Sentinel, Lehman is a decorated war hero but that means nothing because he was not able to save his sister when she was murdered. Ashley Carver is an investigative reporter and they hooked up at his sister's funeral and now 2 years later she is back and so is Stan, the brother-in-law who disappeared. So many twists and turns and fast paced wildness I could not turn the pages fast enough. Josh and Ashley both have demons they but they bring out the best in each other. There are secrets and lies and other murders and the SOBs are still being given jobs by the judge and the IA thorn from the first book is still breathing down everyone's neck.

This one could be read as a standalone but I enjoyed the first one just as much as this one.

Sentinel’s Kiss is a wild book with action that takes in place not only in between the sheets but out of them. This book continues the Sentinels of Babylon series which follows 4 friends who form a motorcycle club and who are vigilantes. They are the people who defend the innocent and make sure that justice is paid when the legal system fails the victims. Evil was a detective, Sentinel was a Green Beret, Warden was a correctional officer and Ryder was a CIA operative. On the top of their list….making sure that Sentinel’s sister’s killer, her husband, was killed.

Where do I start with Ashley. I was in awe of her sexual prowess and that she had next to no inhibitions. I mean, sex on the side of the road, in an elevator AND in a parking garage…..I was in awe of her. But, as I got into reading the story, the more I began to like her and the more I felt bad for her. She overcame so much to get where she was. I also felt that she was perfect for Josh. She was the ying to his yang. What I really liked about her was that she was a very determined reporter and she would go the distance for her story.

I loved Josh!!! He came across as such a bad boy but he was a softy at heart. I mean, he volunteered at the hospital and cuddled babies in the NICU as a tribute to his sister. And he did it shirtless (skin to skin), which made my ovaries melt. ((Swoon)). He was a ladies man too. Sentinel loved the ladies and they loved him back. But, once he got reinvolved with Ashley, there was no other ladies. I also liked that he was committed to bringing Stan to justice.

The sex between Josh and Ashley was over the top. The two of them were like bunnies, doing it everywhere and anywhere. The pages sizzled with their sex scenes. S-I-Z-Z-L-E-D. I had to fan myself a few times, that was how hot it got!!

The storyline with Stan (Josh’s sister’s husband) was wrapped up in what I thought a pretty satisfactory way. The only thing I didn’t like was that Ashley had to get hurt in order for it to go down. The other storylines were ended right around the same time Josh went to Massachusetts and there was only the Stan storyline.

I loved the end of the book. Talk about the ultimate HEA!!!

How many stars will I give Sentinel’s Kiss: 4

Why: This would make a great beach book and, to be honest, was a lot better than Necessary Evil. The plotline was more streamlined, the characters a lot more likeable and the sex was through the roof hot. The vigilante theme wasn’t as in your face as it was in Necessary Evil but it was there.

Will I reread: Yes

Will I recommend to family and friends: Yes

Age range: Adult

Why: Sex, Language and violence

I received an advanced copy (thanks Netgalley) of this second book in the Sentinels of Babylon series.

Book 2 focuses on Sentinel (Josh) and reporter Ashley. Trying to avenge the murder of his sister, Sentinel hopes Ashley can be a source to help him confirm it's his brother-in-law Stan. But Ashley is not just a pretty face, she's a former war correspondent with great investigative skills. But neither can deny their instant animal attraction. Will Sentinel's determination to avenge his sister's death, put Ashley and the gang in danger?

I enjoyed this book. At times it's a little racy for me, but I enjoy seeing the interaction between the life-long friendship. It's also great that these women are strong on their own.

Thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the Sentinels of Babylon series. This group of vigilantes continue to bring justice to those guilty parties when the court system fails to do so. This is personal for Josh "Sentinel" Lehman since his sister's murdering husband has gotten away with this crime. Ashley Carver is his biggest problem right now though. She's an investigative reporter that has gotten herself into real trouble with her latest investigation. He finds himself wildly attracted to the woman but the last thing he needs in his life is a woman full of questions especially when she's so close to exposing the club. Yet with her life in danger he can't walk away from her.

I highly recommend this one.

Having never read Jamie K. Schmidt before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I have to say, I was quite impressed. I also had not read the first Sentinels of Babylon book, but I found that did not detract from my enjoyment of this book in the least. On the contrary, I actually thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found the storyline to be new and exciting, and the characters to be well thought out and complex. They are very real and raw and unapologetically flawed. They really draw you right into the story and make you believe in this absolutely riveting world the author has created. I found the book to be somewhat darkly romantic, incredibly intriguing, sinfully sexy, and totally enthralling. I would highly recommend this book, and I can't wait to see what's next for the Sentinels of Babylon.

Sentinel’s Kiss by Jamie K Schmidt, the second book in her Sentinel’s of Babylon Series brings us into the world of undercover vigilantes. This book highlights the life of Sentinel, (real name Josh Lehman) finding his one and only, Ashley Carver. The biggest problem is that she is an investigative reporter and Josh needs her to stay focused on other things so he can address the issue of his sister’s death by killing her husband. Of course nothing is really that simple and the rest of the team grows concerned by Josh and Ashley’s relationship - a great HOT sexy relationship. The book has twists and turns and draws you into the story successfully. ENJOY reading Sentinel’s Kiss by Jamie K Schmidt.

I like the idea of the anti-heroes doing vigilante work with the help of a judge. This had a great plot about a series of murders that was killing pregnant, abused wives of men who are members from the Poconos Hunting Club. This was personal for Josh since the first victim was his sister. Ashley comes in as the reporter on the murders. Ashley interviews Josh when his sister was first murdered and two years later she shows back up again when several copycat murders have come to light. Up to this point, Josh believed her husband got away with the murder but when the copycats became known, the Sentinels of Babylon decide to investigate before they take out his sisters husband.

While I enjoyed the plot of the story, I did not enjoy the main couple...at first. Josh came off as a jerk and Ashley didn't have much self respect. They first hooked up when she interviews him after his sisters funeral. He then proceeds to forget about her for two years until she pops back up to investigate the additional murders. Josh doesn't want her poking too much into the investigation since the Sentinels plan on taking out the bad guy, so he only pursues her to babysit her. This did not make for much of a romance in the beginning, but then Josh realizes he wants more. Now normally it would be too little, too late at this point except this couple actually turned it around for me. Once they committed, I started to like them and enjoyed the story more. I loved the epilogue and we got enough of a teaser for Ryder and Travis that I'm looking forward to their story. ARC provided by NetGalley.

This is the secod book in the Sentinel's of Babylon series but can be read as a stand alone.

The story was interesting and I was held captivated throughout. There was plenty of action and I thought it flowed really well. The characters were likebale in themselves and there was plenty of steam between them but I would have liked a bit more depth to their relationship; I struggled to connect to them on any emotional level.

All in all, I have to say this was a step up from the first book and I enjoyed it.

I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher via NetGalley; there was no inducement or obligation.

Erotica more than MC but it works. This group of vigilantes and their partners are a colorful group of people who have been friends since childhood and have gone on in life to serve in the military, law enforcement, CIA, and as a corrections officer. They also work with a judge who has decided that like they are, he is also tired of people getting away with things they shouldn't. He calls the hits and this group follows through.

Sentinel and Ashley met the day he buried his sister. He was in the military, special forces, and she a reporter. Two years later she's back on his radar as he is casing his sister's killer, or who he thinks is the killer, and she walks right into his camera lens.

Now he's full-time SOB (Sons of Babylon) and she is a feature reporter and is doing a follow up on his sister's death and the fact that there are more similar murders, making this a possible serial killer and the fact he hasn't been caught yet.

Chemistry wise the pick up where they left off but morally and ethically is still questionable. It's his job to keep an eye on her while the SOBs take care of business. The thing is, he feels a little more than just a responsibility for her.

When things get more difficult and there is a cop on their backs will he be able to convince her they are right or will it be too much for her? Do they have more than chemistry?

I will read the first book of this series next. I'm on the fence on whether I will continue after that or not because I really like the idea of the SOBs and their missions, but I think the amount of sex and the part it plays in this story detract from the book. I don't say that much. We'll see where it goes from here.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

One hell of a book!! The suspense and intrigue are riveting. Jamie wove an incredible story that I could not put down.

This book is about Sentinel (Josh) and Ashley. You read the blurb, here's the thrust. Sentinel aka Josh
is still mourning the death of his sister, convinced that her husband killed her, the SOB's finally have tracked him down and he's watching them. While he's watching up strolls Ashley who is a TV news reporter who is doing a follow up on the murders two years later. Since then other women have been killed with the same MO, which is news to Sentinel. His brother in law refuses an interview and knowing he'd be next on her interview list, he heads back to the bar. As predicted she shows up.
He gets as much information out of her as he can and she seems to know as much and a little more than they do because new things have come to light and thus begins this twisted, winding, story that is riveting, steamy and the suspense is palpable.

As the story unfolds we also see these two growing closer, Ashley is from a wealthy family from the Hamptons and the SOB's are friends since childhood who come from varied backgrounds (read book one). Sentinel declares Ashley his girlfriend, something no one in the club does without discussing it with the others first, but he's totally knocked out by her, she by him. They were great together. While Sentinel is chasing down his past, they still have jobs to do for the "judge". I love all the characters and how they work together. Ryder is a real piece of work, her ability far exceeds the men sometimes. Each member brings their own talents to the group. Ashley is still pretty much in the dark about what they do, but things come to a head during a crisis and it's her life on the line.

I don't do spoilers so I didn't detail out the storyline, I can only tell you that it will keep you transfixed to your e reader. It's got everything you want in a book and more. It's so well written, the characters are fully developed and the story was over the top. I liked this book much better than book one and I loved that book. This one grabbed my attention, held it and didn't let go until the last word.

Great story Jamie K!! Waiting for book 3!!

Josh and Ashley had a hot interlude in the backseat of his jeep on the day of his sister's funeral and have not seen each other in 2 years. His sister, Sarah, was killed and dumped in a trunk and then submerged into a lake. She was pregnant and Josh has always suspected her husband of committing the murder. Ashley is a reporter and starts linking similar murders to Sarah's. She wants to interview Josh and Stan, Sarah's husband, about the murder. Josh is part of the SOB's and knows it's not a good idea to hang around a reporter with all that they have going on. They are still getting jobs from the "Judge" and have no qualms performing them. Ashley is trying to get her life on track and become more stable and less reckless. Both Josh and Ashley know they have chemistry, but both are scared about the possibility of commitment. Ashley opens up about her tragic past and Josh confesses some of his secrets. Both know they have to tread lightly and get caught up in the murder mystery that Ashley is trying to unravel. Josh knows what he has to do with Stan and just hopes it doesn't cost him Ashley. Ashley was kind of clueless at points and it didn't really make sense since she was this supposedly great reporter. I liked how both of them knew they shouldn't work on paper but went for it anyway. A good story and am grateful for the ARC I received from NetGalley in return for my honest review.

I really did not care for this story. I had a difficult time staying involved and connected to this story and its characters. I just didn't really like them
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I read a free copy of this book. This is my review. Great book! A group of friends become vigilanties to take care of those who got away with crimes. Sentinel is after his sister's murderer who he believes was her husband. This book takes you through the how 3 other murders may be linked to his sister's and who the real killer or killers are.

I got this book through NetGalley in exchange for a review, which I am happy to provide. I have been a fan of Jamie K Schmidt since book 1 of the series and so I got started right away and as usual I read way passed my bedtime. I loved the characters and the storyline and it had plenty of steamy scenes to keep you warm on a cold night. You won't have to read the first book in the series in order to enjoy this one, which I alway appreciate. I can't wait for what will happen next. Very entertaining.

As always I want to thank Random House Loveswept and NetGalley for providing us with a copy of this book so that we could bring you this review.

To have the Sentinels of Babylon back on the streets is something that those in the criminal community need to worry about... well in this book at least. Sentinel has had a beef with his brother in law since his sister was murdered. And we once again hear from THE JUDGE that is one character I am still trying to figure out who it is. The fact that Sentinel's love interest is a very nosy reporter can be a problem. But Sentinel does everything to make sure she doesn't sniff out a story with him and the rest of the SOB's. Loved the connection between the two characters and the protectiveness that Sentinel exhibits. Loved this story I don't know what it is about Sentinel but I think he was my favorite from book one. Looking forward to what happens next.

I give this book 5 vigilante kisses...
Happy Reading... Adri

My Review:
If you read Necessary Evil, Sentinels of Babylon #1, which I reviewed on October 28, 2016, then you know about the bad boys of the Sentinels of Babylon. They are bad, but they are on a mission of good. They are cleaning up what the cops and courts miss. Vigilante isn't usually considered a nice word, but they see themselves as doing justice. And they all have related backgrounds, too. These are strong men with an eye to making the world safer for people to live in.

Each has taken a name within the group. Josh has taken the name Sentinel. He's the founder of the group. He's the one who gets the phone call. He's the one who sends the rest of the guys towards the target. Sometimes he's the one who pulls the trigger. Now he's Ashley's target. Will she get her story and put the group on the front page? Or can his kiss make her forget he kills people?

Ms. Schmidt has done it again. She paints all the dark and drama around this group of men and then adds this one woman who can save the heart and soul of one of them. The confrontations can be violent and the sex is hot. Not for the faint of heart. Recommended for women who like bad boy romance. Sentinels of Babylon are a motorcycle group, but it's not a huge issue, just a fact.

I was provided this eARC by Loveswept and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I am not being compensated in any way. All opinions are fully my own.

Josh and Ashley meet again and sparks fly as they did the first time a couple of years before. Living the dangerous life he lives, he is hesitant to allow true love to develop despite the strong attraction. Little does he know she is an adrenaline junky. They have faced extreme loss in the past and help each other heal. Can she accept him and his lifestyle? Only time and adventures will tell. Cute read.

Josh is part of the Sentinels of Babylon vigilante group that makes sure that bad people don't get away with murder. Ashley, a reporter from his past, is on the hunt for the story of who killed Josh's sister. Suspense, red hot romance, and lots of action make this a great read!

Excellent book. I started it and couldn't go to bed till I finished it, had to known what happened. Great story line filled with tons of action and drama. This book wasn't filled with ridiculous sex conversions, that so many books are these days. It was written with excellent taste. Loved how they were going to be sex buddies but ended up so much more. Wonderful read enjoyed it thoroughly Just as good as the first one. Definitely would recommend this series. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Net Galley
