While this can absolutely be read as a standalone, I've followed the Fireside Series from the start and I have to say, I think this one may be my favorite. I've enjoyed them all but there's something special about the dynamic between Camden and David that really sucked me in.

Both David and Camden are running away from something in their past so there is a bit of drama to them. But what I like the most is how David never wavered. His goal was to get Camden to open up to him and the idea of them together when they went to Jamaica for their friend's wedding. He knew that he wanted more than a casual hookup and he did everything to make sure she knew that and knew his intentions.

Camden has been very calculated in everything she does since she was twelve. A horrible past has left her with a lot of emotional pain that she hasn't really dealt with and it has left her unable to really enjoy life the way that she should. David does something to her and forces her to face her fear instead of running from it. He's exactly what she needs, even when she doesn't know she needs it.

The two of them are just absolutely perfect for each other and they balance each other out. They push each other and support each other all with the intention of fulling making the other happy. I had a great time experience them fall for each other.

I'm sad that the Fireside Series has come to an end, as I've really enjoyed it. I've liked all the characters and I truly enjoy the writing style from Stacey Lynn. It flows effortlessly and really helps keep the pace steady.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a super sweet man with a big of cocky swagger and a sweet but haunted woman who is looking to come out of her shell, then this is the book for you.

This is the 4th and final book in this series which for me has been very enjoyable. I will start out by saying that this was not my favorite HEA but it was good enough that I am glad I read it. I truly enjoyed seeing old friends from the previous books and knew that this book would be the final with this troupe of friends. Camden and David both had issues that kept them from being open to each other, but they also had a powerful attraction. David was able to get a handle on his issues early enough in this book but Camden really, really had issues and it seemed that we would never get to the HEA. To me it dragged when I was ready for her to "buck up" and have a life. I don't mean to make light of her issues because they were horrendous, and I guess everyone has to resolve them on their own time frame, but for the sake of this story, I wish it had happened a little more quickly! As always, thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this for an honest review. I have honestly enjoyed this entire series.

Final Score - 5 A Beautiful Ending Stars!

What happens when a a spur of the moment wedding trip to Jamaica, two people finally hook up? In the closet? In a hallway? With guest just circling around?

Meet David ... who has been waiting for 5 months for Cam. He's been patient, but the time has come for him to make his move. Now that he has unlimited access to her (meaning she can't run away), he's got the weekend to prove to her that they're worth it. David sets about his seduction of Cam (what else can it be called?) and begins to slightly push Cam out of her very tightly woven comfort zone (cuz let's face it, the girl need to let loose!)

Cam is the one out of all the girls - you know the one: wrapped so tight, if you stick a lump of coal up her butt, in two weeks you'd have a diamond! She has set rules and doesn't deviate far from them. She's not a risk taker, she makes carefully structured lists, and insists on order in her everyday life. So hooking up with David is not only out of character, but totally not her. Who is he turning her into?!

But David sets about to change that, pushing Cam out of her very tightly woven comfort zone. It's such a great thing to see these connect and just let loose! Although Cam tells herself it's only one night, she beings to relent (defrost) herself towards David. However, these two have secrets.

They spend a large part of the book working through their "issues" regarding those secrets. David allows himself to be vulnerable first, only after having his hand forced but it sends Cam running back home. It takes a while for Cam to open up to David about her secret. She doesn't make it easy for David to gain her trust. Even after him telling her his story, she still withholds her from him. Until it can't be held back any longer ... and then they are at a crossroads.

I loved David in this story. The man was so laid back and willing to give Cam her space to work things out for herself - what man do you know does that?! And despite wanting to knock her upside the head once or twice, I genuinely liked Cam, although she's a tad extra as they say.

Stacey Lynn can write a great story and just engross you with her characters. These people have real lives and relevant issues and are dealt with as such. It's perfect from beginning to end. This book and the rest of this series is incredible.

This book marks the 4th one of the series and I'm sad/depressed to see it end. Each story has taken a piece of my heart. I Thank you Ms. Lynn for a great trip into the lives of everyone in this series.

It really embodies the saying - a #mustread series.

His to Seduce the 4th book in the Fireside series was an okay read for me, but I just couldn't connect with it like I did all the others. I never got invested in the love story and I found myself skipping through the book because I was starting to get a little bored. I don't know what it was for sure that caused such a disconnect with me and this book as I loved the other books in this series but something was just not working for me. Not that I hated this book or anything. I didn't hate it. I actually really liked David and getting to catch up with the whole gang at Fireside. The only thing I can pin point that I didn't like was Camden. She just rubbed me wrong. I didn't feel like I got to really know her. She only really showed her closed off side which made her seem bitchy and cold. Because of her past I could understand some of her actions but I think she was just too closed off and didn't open up soon enough. David was a nice balance to her. He was sweet, fun, and very understanding. I did really think the ending was very cute. Overall this read was okay but my least favorite of the series.

Well let me start out saying that this is the only book in this series I have read and I love it. The author gave me enough insight to the other characters in this book and made me not feel completely lost in the story. She did however make me feel like I wanted to run out and get the first - 3 books in the series. This book is definitely a sensitive topic type of book and may cause triggers for some. It does cover the topic of child rape but as horrible of a topic & issue that is, the author wrote it in a beautiful way. The feelings & emotions that she invoked & brought out in Camden was spot on. I love the strength she not only brought out & showed in Camden but also in her mom, friends and also with David with his issues he was dealing with. This book brings all of the elements of emotions out of you in this great read! The chemistry is hot with David and Camden. I love how they develop and grow, not only together as a couple but also individually as a person. I did not want to put the book down nor did I want it to end. I was crying happy tears when I was finished with the book and was very happy with the ending of it! I truly hope to see more of David and Camden in the future. Thank you for the amazing read Stacey Lynn!

This book is the fourth installment in the Fireside series and is the story of David McGregor and Camden Reed. David is helping his childhood friend Declan, tending the bar of the Fireside Grill. That’s where he meets Camden Reed. Their mutual attraction is undeniable, but Camden is convinced that David is completely wrong for her. Camden is uptight, wary and her life is perfectly controlled, ordered and without surprises. She is broken by tragic events that occurred during her childhood.

Camden has never experienced what she feels for David. I loved this character, he is caring, full of heart, understanding and tender. Although Camden is insecure and closed-off, she feels safe with David and wants to take some risks with him. They both have secrets and have to figure out what they want in life. But despite her emotional baggage, Camden knows the time has come to do more than just survive, she deserves happiness. It was emotional when David finally got her to open up and take a chance at love.

I read this emotional and heartfelt story in one sitting. Stacey Lynn writes beautiful stories, perfectly paced. There was a lot of push and pull by Camden, it took me some time to warm up to her. At times, I just wanted to knock some sense into her! She was lucky though, David is everything you want in a swoon-worthy hero, and then some! I recommend this sweet and romantic story, with some angst and a lovely epilogue.

“When do you know when it’s time to say goodbye to your dreams…or your fears…or your past? And what happens when you don’t know what you’re supposed to be doing?”

Camden & David’s story is so much fun, yet tough. I love how full of life David is and how he gets Camden to open up, let loose, have fun, and forget about all her stresses. I read a lot of this story with a smile on my face and chuckling often.

But it’s not all fun and laughs. Camden & David both bear a lot of pain, and cope with it in different manners. Camden had a hard past, so her lists and structure are what help her cope. David helps Camden face her past and it’s sad and difficult for her. But David also has a secret. Will this destroy everything he’s worked to get to with Camden?

To be honest, I felt like David's secret was trivial. He wanted to know that he could trust Camden before letting her know who he was or everything about him and his past, which is understandable; and Camden, of all people, should understand that considering she's the exact same way. Camden’s trust issues are completely understandable, but his secret, in my opinion, was not that big of a deal, and why he kept that secret made sense. I found Camden’s reaction to be overdramatic and unnecessary, not to mention, a double standard, being that she’s keeping her past a secret as well. The lack of communication between the two was very frustrating at times. I felt if this one scenario was handled in a different manner, and with a different reaction, this would have made the story that much better, as everything else was amazing.

I enjoyed the plot and the peeling back Camden’s layers. It was heartbreaking and you could feel how difficult it was for her to talk about it, to open up, to feel. You could feel her fear and trepidation. I especially enjoyed David. He’s so much fun and a good, caring guy. He wants nothing more than to help Camden and be there for her. He genuinely cares for her. I loved his pursuit of Camden and the way he sees right through her and never gives up.

“Every part of me is yours.”

Camden and David balance each other and are so good together. I enjoyed all the friends and their relationships and bonds. It’s very heartwarming. This is an enjoyable, steamy, emotional story about learning to trust and being able to move forward that left me with a full heart and huge smile on my face.

“Feel the fear and do it anyway.”

Another great story by Stacey Lynn! His to Seduce tells the tale of Camden and David, who find themselves together after months of flirting, now alone in Jamaica at their good friends's impromptu wedding.

Their relationship and this book literally starts off with a 'bang' and develops into a deep and at times difficult love story. Both Camden and David have secrets they've kept locked up and it's the hope of their dear friends that each will be the key to freedom for their guilt-ridden souls.

I really enjoyed the pace of this one. It is well-written and flows easily. The characters are mature and I enjoyed getting each of their point of views. Camden is a strong heroine and I loved that she rose above her less than stellar childhood and is a force to be reckoned with. David is clearly her match as his quiet nature and matter of fact personality is just what she needs to finally let go of her demons. They seem so different from what they presume they want out of life but as time goes on, they realize just how well-suited they truly are for one another. Their friends, from previous books in the series, are a great compliment and have both Camden and David's backs more than once.

A worthwhile read that I recommend when you want a book for a lazy afternoon that won't require too much thought, just smart writing and easy emotions.

4 solid stars!

His to Seduce is sexy and touching and has the right mix of drama and lighter moments.

I absolutely loved this story and this was my favorite of the series and left me satisfied! David and Camden have been flirting and dancing around each other for a while and now they are finally thrown together at a destination wedding in Jamaica, just what David needed. He convinces Camden to give him the weekend together and when they get home to see what happens, however, things fall apart on the last night and Camden runs. Luckily David has the resources to beat her back to Detroit and is waiting for her but will she listen to him. These two have some hurdles to scale but it is worth it and the love and understanding is beautiful.

If you have not read the rest of the series, you will not be lost. I highly recommend this one!

I enjoyed this book and have to say that David and Camden have been my favourite couple of this series so for me this Fireside series ended on a high. It was packed full of emotion from both MC's, I felt they were likeable and had great chemistry. The story flowed really well and I found it a touching and heartfelt romance - 3.5 stars

This is book 4 of the Fireside series. Both hiding from their past, can David and Camden put their past aside and reach each other? Thrown together in Jamaica for their friend's wedding, they both let go and spend all their free time together. Back at home, can they pick up where they left off? Can they tell each other and their friend's their secrets?

I enjoyed this story. You could feel the chemistry between the two, and I couldn't help but pull for them.

I've been following this series for a while now and I've both characters before they crossed path. I've been one of those who really wanted David and Camden together when I saw the inklings of chemistry. Impatient yes. Worth the wait. They may have been dancing around each other for a while now. Camden hides under suit of armor and David maybe lost but he knows what he wants and it's her.

Maybe this trip will make it possible for them to really know each other and open up. Camden has her fears, her goals. David has his stress and secrets. I can understand how Camden's tumultuous childhood scraping by and loosing what mattered to her affected how she lives now. In fact she might seem fearful but she's also just as brave. This whole world that could be theirs if they let what is budding between them fully blossom. I rooted for David to help Camden. But really she needs to let it go.

How not to like David? Laid back, Strong, smart, family guy, compassionate and loyal. Even with his mistakes he owns up to, he's a stand up guy. I can see he fit Camden well. Camden a fighter, survivor, meticulous planner but all done with her own style. I can't help admire her tenacity and drive. I really think both are stronger together and make it all work.

I'm sad this is the end of a great series I enjoyed so much. His to Seduce may not be the most emotional one but still packs a punch. Stacey Lynn managed to make a setting where friends gather, characters whose backstories come alive with each book in this series.

Review His to Seduce

His to Seduce by Stacey Lynn is the fourth book in the Fireside series and the first book in this series that I read. I will admit from the start that coming in at the end of the series, I have some insight into the lives of the other characters from the previous books. I love series about friends and/or family, so we start hitting my “love to read” buttons. While I know where the characters are at the end of the series, I don’t believe it ruins this story and it doesn’t dampen my desire to read their journey. In fact, I will be reading the other books to know how the story complete story.
His to Seduce is the story of Camden Reed and David McGregor. Anyone who reads the series from the beginning probably knows a little more about how this couple arrives at the start of His to Seduce than I do but I caught up quickly. They are good romance characters for me. They both have damaged pasts and hurdles to overcome to trust in a new relationship.

Camden Reed is a woman who is super organized. She plans, lists, and plans some more before moving forward. She needs the structure to protect herself against the unexpected. The thing is regardless of how much you plan for the unexpected surprises will happen.

David McGregor is a man who changes his career direction after a family tragedy. He feels like a failure and runs from his position as an emergency room doctor because he can’t handle losing anyone else. He struggles because of his inability to save all his patients.

I am very impressed with Stacey Lynn’s writing and storytelling skills. The story is written in a way that the pace is decent and steady and continually spurs the reader to want more. The two main characters are developed cleverly while the chemistry between these two jumps off the pages.

David and Camden have the qualities that I like in my romance novels. It is captivating learning what makes these two characters tick. David is a good man with a lot of patience. Camden is a lovely woman with a little stubborn streak. She has the determination to succeed and fights the odds. I admit that Camden does come close to pushing some of my buttons and very close to making me want to give her a little “snap out of it” slap a few times.

My only criticism is one that I often make in these push/pull stories. The push goes on a little too long. For me, it would work better if Camden is slightly more forthcoming even if she doesn’t tell all her secrets immediately. There are times that she doesn’t feel honest to me and could give a crumb or two. Also, and this is just my personal preference, I would like a little more for the ending. It feels like everything wraps up too quickly and, therefore, a little epilogue would work here.

His to Seduce is a splendid read. It is my first Stacey Lynn book, and it won’t be my last. I am adding the other books in the series to my “read next” list and putting Stacey on my “watch what she writes next” list. I thoroughly enjoy her writing and look forward to more.

I enjoyed David and Cameron's story however I didn't connected as much to this story as I did with His To Cherish. Typically I avoid books written in the first person because they annoy me but that wasn't really my problem with this story. It was well written and I really liked David but I felt Cameron was just...too much. Too rigid and too quick to judge when she herself found ways to cope with her issues.

That being said, I did enjoy the way David pulled Cameron from her comfort zone and watching them slowly open to each other was really fun.

I enjoyed this book, it was nice to read something with the main character working in a hospital. I would recommend this to a friend. This was a quick wasy read.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This can't be over. I mean...I'm not stupid. I know that we've gone through all of the characters/friends and it has to end at some point. But come on!!! I can honestly say that I'll have a series hangover for quite some time now. (insert sad face with tears GUSHING)

David is the doctor turned bartender that we've all grown to love over the course of the series. FINALLY, we get his story. And what a story it is. We as readings already knew that he was a doctor, but not everyone knew. The woman he's had eyes for thinks that he's only a bartender and has mentally written him off. But he's determined to earn her trust. Can he earn it before she finds out the truth about his profession?

Camden has always been, Camden. Making lists, checking twice and very rarely stepping out of her comfort zone. But at Trina's wedding in Jamaica, she takes a leap. Unfortunately, she doesn't quite get her footing before she lands. In fact, her leap turned in to a full out run. But now that she's had a taste of what "no fear" feels like, can she return to her old self, or blossom in to the beautiful woman she never thought was possible?

Am I talking in code? You bet your sweet a&& I am. David and Camden each have their own personal demons to concur. The best part of this story is that when push came to shove, they were both there for each other to face it head on. Like I stated before. I'm really going to miss this little group. I'm so happy with this HEA...so happy I actually shed some tears of joy.

Well done Stacey Lynn...well done. Your series was always one I looked forward to reading.........now hurry up and give me another one. I love your writing!

4.5 Stars
Book 4 in The Fireside Series but as with every book in this series it can be read as a standalone.
David McGregor worked hard to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a ER doctor but one day tragedy strikes and he gives it all up and high tales back to Latham Hills and starts work behind the bar of his childhood friends restaurant.
Camden Reed has worked hard to put her childhood behind her, growing up poor the last thing she wants is a fling with a bar tender. The problem is the chemistry between these two is off the charts and when the sexual tension finally combusts between the sheets, Camden realises people are not always what they seem.
This book is a emotional roller coaster and I couldn't put it down. The characters are strong and have depth and there is just the right amount of flirting and pretending. I'm sad that this is the final chapter in the series but what great way to finish, looking forward to more from Stacey Lynn.

This is the fourth and final book in the Fireside series. As in each of the previous books, this is a couple running from their pasts, hiding secrets and pain. David left Chicago in a hurry and hasn’t shared with many the reasons for his return. Camden caught his eye shortly after he arrived at Fireside, but she has been very vocal in her refusal to give him the time of day. Camden is fighting her attraction to the new bartender. She doesn’t want to take a chance on someone who can just pick up and leave at anytime.

Camden has been the most closed off of the women who meet for Ladies Night at the Fireside. She is always buttoned up, and though she lets loose with her girlfriends, she doesn’t let many people in. As we get into her head in this story, the reasons for her reserve become clear and I hurt for the things she was holding onto.

David is one of those heroes who may not know the whole story, but is able to figure out exactly how much and how far to push without going too far. He makes Camden feel safe for the first time in a long time, even as he pushes her past her comfort zone. But as he is easing her out of her comfort zone, he is keeping his own secrets as well -- from everyone in his life.

There were times I just wished Camden and David would share their hangups with each other, especially for as much as they each admitted (to themselves) that they were comfortable and felt safe with the other. These characters had some doozies of issues to deal with: confidence, past tragedies, purpose. With everything they were dealing with, I was able to let some of my frustration with the lack of communication go, but it was there nonetheless.

While this wasn’t my favorite of the series, it is a great way to cap off Fireside. This group of friends has only grown closer as they have paired off. There is quite a bit of support from all the friends, especially as the book starts off in Jamaica at Blue and Tyson’s wedding. I’m a little sad to see the end of this series, but am comforted that each individual and couple has fought their battles and found their peace.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

We got our final couple of the Fireside series with Camden and David. This has been a great series and I've enjoyed each couple as they came. If you haven't read any of them yet, just a bit of a warning that each series can contain triggers for some readers. Each couple have a tragic past they are trying to overcome and their story is not pretty.

In Camden and David's story, both are struggling with an event in their life that has changed them and left them feeling lost. David has left Chicago to come home to help Aiden deal with the loss of his son. What he doesn't tell anyone is that he's hiding from his own problems. While he's back he meets Camden and is instantly smitten despite her snobbery.

Camden wants nothing to do with David believing he's just a bartender. She has a plan and a stable, safe man is what she believes she needs. You learn real quick the reasons why she comes off as a snob and it's pretty heartbreaking.

I loved Davids pursuit of Camden. I never questioned his interest and he saw right through Camdens walls. For some, Camdens pushing away may be a bit much but having the background she has, it makes sense that she doesn't give herself away without struggle. The ending made the struggle worth it all.
