His to Seduce is the fourth and final book in the Fireside series.
While I was genuinely sad to say good bye to the amazing characters that we met along the journey of this series, I was so happy to finally have a chance to read David and Camden's story. Their story may be my favorite yet. As with the other stories in this series we have two people that are broken from their pasts. Pasts that shaped them into who they are now. Watching these too attempt to fight the insane chemistry that they shared was consuming.
The whole story was addictive and I read it all at once. Stacey did an amazing job with the wrap up of the series. Again I think this shows the talent that she has in making us fall so hard and fast for her characters. Overall a fantastic read and one that you won't be disappointed in.
Although it can be a standaloneI recommend reading in order as there may be spoilers.
Right off the bat, the book is hot and swoony! David and Camden burned up my Kindle from the start and David couldn't have been more patient and sweet!
David has been bartending at Fireside and pretty much avoiding life as an ER doctor. He's been through a tragedy and questioning his career ever since. And at Fireside, is where he meets Camden. She's a friend of his friends and he can't stop himself flirting with her. But Camden won't give him the time of day. Her "I can't date a bartender" mentality has been a challenge for him (she doesn't know the truth).
When they David and Camden are away for a friend's wedding on an isalnd, they give into a weekend of no strings. But David desperately tries to break down Camden's walls and have their fling turn into more.
His to Seduce is a great read that is full of passion, secrets and some angst. Camden drove me nuts with her hangs ups, but once she let her walls down, I enjoyed her character. And David, couldn't of been more perfect. A great ending to this series.
His to Seduce is the final book in the Fireside series. Overall, this series is angsty, so if thats not your thing, you might want to skip this. In this final installment, you get the story of David, a former ER doctor turned bartender, and Camden, an accountant with a need for stability.
Both David and Camden have secrets. Camden looks down on David initially because he is just a bartender, which makes her look like a gold digging bitch. However, as the story unfolds you find out why Camden has an issue with being poor, bartenders, and security. David is hiding the fact that he isn't 'just a bartender'. When Camden finds out, she totally overreacts in my opinion. Like, completely flips out! She can't believe that he would lie to her, yada yada...and it seemed completely ridiculous.
David's reasons for leaving medicine are heartbreaking and I am sure the reason many people leave medicine. Camden's story of poverty and the dangers that come with it is also tragic and all to real. Both of these characters are dealing with difficult life events, but both have handled them in very different ways. I found that David's story comes across as more mature and relatable, while Camden comes across as condescending and cold. Even when you know Camden's background, her actions still seem difficult to relate to. I really liked David throughout the story, but Camden was just....annoying.
The tension and climax of the story come from the push/pull of these 2. Angsty, overly dramatic moments of "I love you but I can't do this" become the norm. I thought the plot and the characters had a lot of potential, but I was underwhelmed by the execution of the story and the actions of Camden.

Another great read! This book explains the story of David's past and why he just showed up out of the blue to sling drinks. We always knew he had a secret but it is finally revealed in this book. We also learn why Camden is so up tight in life and secrets in her past are revealed. When David decides to make his move on Camden to make her his, the chemistry they have been fighting explodes. Together David and Camden realize they need to stop running from the past and make amends for what they can't change or control. The future is there waiting to be explored if they can both move forward in life. Ms. Lynn's work is never a disappointment! Honest review in exchange in ARC.
I really liked this book an series so far. It's well written with great characters cant wait for more from this series an this author. would recommend it.
Wow! Just WOW! This is the final book in the Fireside series, and I just knew this author was going to nail it! Camden and David's story was full of tears, laughter, heartache, and lots of hot steamy love scenes. I loved the chemistry between these two, and the issues they both had made your heart break for both of them, but the gentle way that David handled Camden was swoon worthy. The gang was back, Aiden, Chelsea, Jackson, Suzanne, Trina, Declan, Paige, Lucas, Tyson and Blue, with each and every one of them touching this incredible story. I loved David's family, his mom was one of those mom's that you just fell in love with, and Grant and Lindsey were a funny and in love couple that you instantly loved. The whole book just sucked you in, page after page, and was very difficult book to put down, darn the whole having to go to work thing!. Perfect ending, loved every bit of it! I truly love this author and what she did with this series, and I will definitely be reading more of her work..

When David McGregor's father died, he made a decision to become an ER surgeon. In Chicago David saw a lot of tragedy in the ER. The one night that changed his life, when he couldn't save this woman and had to tell her husband, is what did it for him. He quit his job and moved to Latham Hills, Michigan where his friend owned a bar. This is where he met Camden Reed, the one woman that showed no interest in him, no matter what he tried.
Camden had a traumatic childhood, so much so that she stills goes to a therapist. No matter how sexy David is, she has to resist him. She's made a list of things she needs to fulfill in her life, and dating a bar tender is not one of them. When their best friend decides to get married in Jamaica, things start heating up between David and Cam. So maybe she can let her guard down for the weekend and enjoy everything that David can give her without any attachments.
I enjoyed this wonderful story about second chances and believing that things aren't always what they seem.
Loved this story!! I've enjoyed all the Fireside books but this was truly my favorite. If you've read the other books in the series you will recognize David and Camden, if you haven't - don't worry this book easily stands alone. These two have been flirting and dancing around each other so when they are thrown together during their friends wedding they finally come together in an explosive weekend. On their last night together secrets come out that pull the two apart. David isn't ready to give up on them though and he works to convince Cam just how good they can be together.
This is a fantastic story and a great conclusion to the series. I highly recommend this one.
This is the final book in Fireside series. It's a bittersweet ending. I have lived each book in this series. I felt all the heartache and that Stacey Lynn has put into this series. I highly suggest you read these books. They're amazing. Grab the first one and don't stop meet all the amazing characters that are brought to life in this series.
This is the second story I have read in the Fireside series and I was very excited to read about David. I knew there was something intriguing about him in the last book and I was glad to find him the subject of this new release.
I can understand trauma and how it changes a person. But what I don't always understand is the need for a lot of drama when it comes to romance. So be fair warned, you will see drama.
Sometimes it's hard to find and understand the double standards that a woman gives her man. David was a wonderfully crafted character and Camden, had issues and sometimes didn't deal with them well. That created fissures and sometimes drama between her and David that was frustrating to me.
The author did a wonderful job with the way that David was able to work with Camden and get her to release her rigid emotions. I love the story line she created. The love and caring person that David was shined through.
With plenty of fiery, emotional, steamy sex, along with fun and family connections, this book was definitely hard to put down. I absolutely loved the ending and wished it really hadn't ended right there. I know I lost a few tears along the way.
I'm also sad to see this was the last book in the Fireside series but the author went out with a bang. She left us with this memorable story.
This is Book 4 in the ¨Fireside¨Series and I have read and enjoyed all the stories so far! Each book is amazing and this time is the story of Camden and David.
These two wonderful characters will have to deal with painful pasts, secrets and insecurities. The chemistry between them is just great and the story flows nicely.
The second characters add to the enjoyment of the story.
Nice read! Entertaining, sweet, sexy and full of romance and HEA!

Reading a story written by Stacey Lynn is exactly what I needed right now in order to get me out of a book funk. I devoured this 5 star story in a matter of hours. Each Fireside Novel gets better and better even if I don't think it can be possible.
This is about Camden, cool, collected, by the rules, never take a chance young women. David as waited months for his chance with her. During a weekend wedding, he gets his chance to show her to let loose and to take chances. Camden is that way for a reason. David is also hiding something.
I loved everything about this wonderfully written story that kept my undivided attention for hours. There were some heartbreaking moments that really gutted me raw. Fully developed characters that made me feel a wide range of emotions. There were also heartwarming moments that warmed my heart. Friends that had each other's backs in a time of need. I enjoyed the storyline that flowed well. This is the fourth book in this series and I'm grateful to have read them in order because the other characters come play a role in the present story. It still could safely be read as a standalone. But for better enjoyment, start at the beginning.
Told in a dual POV with a great HEA. I strongly recommend this story, as well as all the other Fireside Novels.
An enjoyable romance. Someone who has read the whole series would enjoy seeing David and Camden get together. I understood Camden's hangups more than David's. I didn't understand how his friends couldn't guess what his issues were. He trained as a doctor and is suddenly bartending, but none of them pushed him to find out what the problem was? I also didn't quite understand why Camden equates bartending with instability. Couldn't someone tend bar indefinitely? It was nice to see them get together and how supportive David;s family is of Camden.
In this story we have Camden and David , who are attracted to each other, but both have serious tragedies, and secrets from their past , which has paralyzed them in life. Camden has closed herself up to living fully, and David is at a stand still.
I have read the previous 3 books of this series, by this talented author and was so looking forward to this one. Sorry to say that while the others , for me, were 5 star books, this one was just OK .
I did not feel connected to the characters nor was I engaged in the story.
It wasn’t till I was 65% into reading that I got into it.
My favorite part was reading about the characters I had come to love from the previous stories and finding out how they were doing.
Still, give it a try and if you haven’t read the previous stories, I encourage you to do so.
I was gifted this copy by Netgalley and the publisher. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Camden and David have been dancing around each other for months. He has shown his interest in her many times and she has resisted him to the point of being rude at times. David has secrets that he is running from and Camden's whole life is pretty much based upon an incident that happened to her at 12. Camden is uptight, goal oriented and has no time for fun. At least that's what she thinks before going away for her friend's wedding. Once there, Camden and David quite resisting their pull to each other and give in. David wants more and knows he has to work hard to get her to give him a try after this weekend. Camden lets loose and finds herself wondering how he gets under her shields and has her doing things she never thought she would try, let alone do. David knows he needs to tell her his secrets and makes a pact to do so when they get home. As always happens, secrets come out when you least expect and Camden is reeling when she discovers one of his. David tries to make amends and opens himself up to her and tells her all of his secrets. I respected it and was glad he did that. Camden, however, does not give him the same courtesy and wants more time to reveal hers. I thought it was pretty bad of her to expect him to lay himself bare for her and then to decide she is entitled to hold her secrets in. When David finally gets fed up with her refusing to let him in, Camden has to decide what she wants more - her secrets or David. You will have to read the book to find out what happens and why. I did enjoy this book and am grateful to NetGalley for giving me an ARC for an honest review.
His to Seduce by Stacey Lynn is Book 4 of the Fireside Series. While this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.
Ms. Lynn does it again. Damaged, Cam and David, have struggled over time to cope and find their way through each day, and as their attraction and chemistry have them reaching for each other, they find themselves also opening themselves up to each other and healing themselves from within as their secrets are brought to light. Another fine addition to the series!

This book was ok. A quick read and a cute love story. It seemed to have a lot of "love problems" that kept popping up and it took some pretty strange twists and turns.
Unfortunately, I had real problems with this book. I did read (and really enjoyed) the second book in the series, His To Protect, so I knew who David and Cam were, but I have to assume that some kind of relationship was established between them in the 3rd book (which I didn't read). Because this book started with them hooking up in a closet at their friends' destination wedding in Jamaica, and all I could thing was, "Who are these people, and where's the relationship between them?" Pretty much the entire first third of the book was them having an extended weekend of sex at the wedding and David trying to convince Cam to give him a chance after she'd previously already said that she would never date him because he was just a bartender and she wanted a settled, stable guy. (view spoiler) My problem was that because the book started right in with the sexual relationship, I never felt any kind of connection between them and was not invested in their relationship. If I hadn't received this from NetGalley, I probably would have DNF'ed it. Instead, I did finish it, and it was okay, but it just didn't touch me in any way. Sadly, this book just wasn't for me.
I love the Fireside series - David has always been a favourite of mine.... mysterious even. I've been waiting for his story, and this did not disappoint. It was steamy and fun, I enjoyed following the development of their feelings. Ms Lynn really took the time to flesh out her characters, making them flawed and yet completely real. Loved it!
The Fireside novels are hot! It was an added bonus to read this on the beach in Jamaica! I felt like I was actually with the wedding party!
