His to seduce is another story from Fireside series. In this one we see charming easygoing unserious bartender David who finally gets a chance by uptight polish snob Camden. But they first impression is not who they really are, they both have scars from the past who dictates their lives. That is until David start to realize that Camden is carrying, independent scared young women who is afraid. And that fear is preventing them to be together. I loved that David hat insisted so long by her to get through her walls. In the end he breaks them and Camden can final start living.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
I absolutely loved this series and I am sad to see it end......
I loved David and Camden's story!!
I loved the plot and the characters. I loved the banter, the chemistry was off the charts! The connection between David and Cam was so strong. I loved seeing Camden's walls crumble and the fact that David pushed her just enough.
This book was emotional, sweet and oh so sexy!!! I loved David's dirty mouth!!
This book is a must read!!!! It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you start from the beginning as all the characters intertwine throughout the series. You won't be disappointed!
A hot, sexy, sweet, romantic story from this author. The characters were fab and worked well with the series. I absolutely love this series every one of the books is a stand alone read. Each book is a stand alone but they are much better when read together. This book has lots of hot and steamy scenes and the chemistry between the characters wills et the pages alight as you read. This is the firth book in the series and the whole series is definitely worth a read. This book definitely packs a punch with a powerful story line. I cant wait for more in this series and from this author in the future.
Highly recommended
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book
4 Oh the secrets we keep stars
This is the last entry to the Fireside series by Lynn. She has been consistent throughout and this was no different.
We have two damaged people who have been harboring pain; each with their own way of coping.
Camden Reed's issue happened when she was a preteen and it formed her idea of protection... She would make lists and organize so she would always be in control... nothing would ever surprise her... everything planned and checked off...She worked hard to rise up from poverty and vowed to make sure she remained secure financially in all things...No dead beat boyfriends...
David McGregor saw his father die from a heart attack...and from that moment he dedicated himself to making sure no other kid would have to experience what he did. He became the ER doc and was strong and excellent in his field....But life happened and he had a family case he couldn't save...causing him to flee the situation...not being able to save his patients like he wanted was too much.
Throughout the series these two have crossed paths and in this book, they finally have a very hot fling during a wedding of their mutual friends. Things are going well and then David's past skills are needed, revealing he may not be what he represented himself to be...Camden takes this as lying and betrayal...However... has she been as truthful with David....
These two have to come together and learn to trust each other in order to go forward.
It was well done.
Former ER doctor, David returns from his job at a hospital in Chicago after a tragedy happened that involved one of his patients. Now David resides in Michigan tending bar at his friend's restaurant,. Unfortunately, David hides the fact that he was once an ER doctor from a women named Camden and he doesn't discuss why he doesn't want to return to medicine with anyone including his best friends. Camden meets David through mutual friends, but she can't get past the fact that David is a bartender, but not because she is spoiled and looking for someone better off. Her reluctance to start something with David stems from something bigger that happened to her during childhood.
While away at their friend's destination wedding, the two finally hook-up and spend time getting to know each other. Unfortunately their pasts cause conflict in the present which may put a damper on their future together.
I have read the other books in this series and think that this one was a good addition. I liked the close relationships between the friends. I think this book could be read as a standalone because the author does a good job with the character backgrounds, but would recommend reading the entire series. I look forward to reading even more by Stacey Lynn.
His To Seduce by Stacey Lynn is the 4th and final book in the The Fireside Series. It can be read as a standalone but you will be missing so much greatness in the first 3, please do yourself a favor and read them. I'm sad that I won't get to read these characters again.
This is the story of Camden and David. They've been flirting with each other for some time now and they FINALLY connect. Each has secrets of why they are who they are and as they move in their relationship with each other, they explore their authentic selves. I really enjoyed they way their stories unfolded. A few times I was yelling at her to "just say it already, it's going to be ok". For me, the story flowed really well without too much reliance on the other beloved Fireside characters. Camden and David's story stands on it's own.
When Miss fighting-so-hard-AGAINST-something meets Mr. fighting-so-hard-FOR-something, the battle begins with Camden and David. He's everything that she doesn't want, but she's magnetized to him. As hard as she pulls away, he holds on. David is patient and understanding and exciting. Camden is all about routine and lists and not taking chances. It's wonderful watching David crumble Camden's lists and seeing her blushes as David heats up her cold life.
I enjoyed His to Seduce, the balance between story and romance along with the interaction of the characters kept me invested until the end. I look forward to reading more of this author
I am a huge Stacey Lynn fan. So, I am not sure why I missed out on this whole series. I guess I will be starting backwards and reading them from4-1 now.
His to Seduce (Fireside, #4) was a great story. David McGregor is a doctor who walked away from it all, because some of the things he saw were too much for him. Heartache and death is more than he could stand. So, now he is killing his time bartending for a friend's place. There he meets Camden Reed. He has wanted her since her first laid eyes on her. Now, they are both in Jamaica for a friend's wedding, and it is the perfect opportunity to make his move.
Camden is attracted to David, but is held back by his unmotivated personality. She knows what it is like to snuggle, and wants more out of a partner than someone who skates through life. While she is not a gold digger, she doesn't want to go back to the life she had whole growing up.
Overall, I liked the story. It was a little hard to like Camden, because for more than half the book, I thought she was really worried about money. Also, I had a hard time with the fact David went to school to be a doctor and walked away from it all.Never went back. That is a lot of hard work down the tubes.....
a good solid romance with an interesting plot. Great read from start to finish.
. Lynn is a gifted storyteller and she crafts wonderful characters that you wish could be real people. The Fireside series has been such a joy to read. Every book improved upon the reading experience of the one before it. I loved following up with the previous characters and I'm glad we got to see what path their lives were heading in. Lynn's writing is honest and believable and it pulls you into the story and captures your interest until the very end. I'm genuinely sad the series has ended but I plan to keep it on my bookshelf to revisit.
I loved Camden & David's road to happily ever after. They both had issues but I fell in love with David of how he never gave up on Camden. This is truly a swoon worthy read!
I have such strong emotions for Camden's and David's characters. It ranged from hatred to envious. To start with it was hard for me to have the lead lady with what I consider a mans name. For the first two chapters (which were suppose to be insanely hot love scenes filled) for me all I could see was her name. Once I finally got over that, I was like holy wow this book is smoking. Then bam the first hate came. David has secrets that come to life that Camden is unable to forgive, even though she didn't even let him explain. How dare she when it is obvious that she has secrets that she is unwilling to share. I have loved all the books in the series and am very glad that I got to catch up with past couples and their families. But I'm afraid that Ms. Lynn did not do Camden justice. I still am thinking how dare Camden for being so judgmental of others. For me to like a book, by the end of it I need to like the characters too. Even when sometimes we start out thinking "what a jerk", by the end we have the ah ha moments, and instantly fall in love.
I really enjoyed this book in the Fireside Series. David and Camden both have issues that they neither one wanted to deal with. They both just pushed the issues away as best they could. Together, David realized he had to face his issues but Camden could not get to that point. David had to decide whether to keep pushing her or accept her as she was. Camden had to decide if hiding her past was worth not having David. Very emotional read as Camden's issues were dark and traumatic.
Honestly I had never read a Stacey Lynn book before. And now I am going to back track and make sure that I catch up!!
I loved everything about this book - the main characters, the friends, the connections between them, the plot, the suspense/drama, the romance and hotness, and well all of it!!
I am in love with books that keep my interest and have me counting the moments until I am able to read again. You know that pesky sleep need is really starting to bug me. I love when I just want to devour a story over and over again and that is what happened with this one. And I cannot wait to try the rest of the series.
This is the 4th book of the Fireside series. David and Camden had a flirtation in the 3rd book, but Camden had shared with her friend, Chelsea, that she was not interested.
The book begins with the group of friends celebrating the wedding in Jamaica. David and Camden are the only non-couple and had decided to give in to their attraction. While Camden wanted to keep this as a "weekend only" hook-up, David wanted more. David is tearing down the walls that Camden has over her heart until an event triggers her resistance to wanting to find love.
David will not accept her decision to walk away from a future together. He lets her know he is not giving up on her. She has secrets and so does he. As they navigate through the barriers around their heart, they learn to trust again.
This was a good series, alot of drama, but more importantly, it surrounded a group of friends who were fiercely loyal and loved each other. This story will not disappoint.

Sadly this one was a flop for me. I have struggled with this series off and on to be begin with but was intrigued by the premise on this one. Unfortunately this one started out with what in my opinion is the cardinal sin for all romance novels and that is opening the book with the characters that you are just meeting in the throws of have sex. No, no, no! Once of the very best parts of a romance novel for me is the build up to the first time the couple kisses or have sex. To just throw it out there in the prologue just set things off for me on the wrong foot right from the beginning. I pushed through the rest of the book and will admit that things bounced back somewhat from me as the story was somewhat appealing for a while but it just never really set off any sparks for me and I never felt committed to the characters.
His To Seduce.
This series has been such an amazing journey. Stacy Lynn an absolute master at this and I just know that I can't wait for the next and any after. This woman thrills me when she announces a new release.
His To Seduce was extra special because it was about characters we knew already and loved.
This book was about David and Camden. We also knew their stories would be gutWrenching but at the same time extraordinary. Stacy Definitely exceeded that expectation. I'm gonna try not to give to much away. We know from previous books that these two are running and hiding from something.
We already know what Beautiful friendship's they have but we really get to see it more now. It was utterly Joyous and Beautiful watching these two fall inlove, take Chances, and drop walls. Times and moments you would feel ur heart so sore for these damaged souls that you would want to reach in grab them and hug then so tightly.
David and Cam were always attracted to each other and when they finally gave in it was Scrumptious and delightful to watch these two peel back the layers. It was hot, Sexy and Raw. Filled with Powerful love and hearts looking to feel that love.
David was my favourite hero in this Series. A hero is always my Highlight and I have to say he did not let me down. This man is everything you need in a hero. From being Alpha to Kind and sweet. His patients and love had me beeming and heart swelling with Happiness.
Grab this ladies it's what we all need and it's something that every romance reader would love.
This story was Precious and Awe inspiring.
Enjoy!!!!
His to seduce is yet another winner from Stacey Lynn.
Camden has had a great trauma in her childhood which has coloured all her relationships and left her with little or no trust of men. David was an emergency room doctor who gave it all up and took up as a bartender as he couldn't cope with the awful sights and tragedies he saw day to day.
He has wanted Camden from when he first saw her, they have friends in common which brings them together. So starts a lovely romance and the blossoming relationship is wonderful to witness.
Can they both overcome their pasts to find a beautiful future together? Read it for yourself you can't help be dragged along with them, a great story.
