Hate to see this series finished. This last one was so good. Very good author!
His to seduce is the 4th book in the Fireside Series by Stacey Lynn and I loved it as much as the other three.
Camden and David are friends who are dealing with their own demons and while at a friend’s wedding decide to give in to their attraction to one another.
Camden is regimented and keeps her life ordered and David tries to bring her out of her shell.
Camden finds out a secret David has been keeping which devastates her and brings up nightmares of an incident, which occurred when she was 12 years old. Camden shuts David out and has a difficult time letting him in.
David is so loving and understanding. At times I did wish that Camden would allow David to see who she truly was and the reason for her own scars. She finally did, but it took her awhile. Once she opens up a truly beautiful story enfolds.
I loved their story and am sad it's the last book in the series. This book can be read as a stand-a-lone. Perhaps Ms. Lynn will visit these characters in the future.
I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
I really liked this one. I think I enjoyed the fact that the previous characters made appearances. I always like that in a series, not too much, just enough. The story starts out quickly, right to the point. I was just in the mood for that type of story. Sometimes if it takes too long I get bored.
I like that each story had its own twist, not just simple relationship things. The way this one evolved, it was kind of in the making from day one. He knew it, she didn't. David is straight up charming, I wouldn't even be mad at him, but Camden has a hard time letting people on and kind of has a certain kind of life in mind, where she may seem snobbish she's just being careful.
This is a sweet series.
This fourth, and last, book in the Fireside series surpasses the other three in the emotional toll it took...it has a message of strength and survival layered throughout that will genuinely give you pause at the trials victims go through. Though the message is subtle, it still packs a punch.
David and Cameron's story is a tender one of the courage and love it takes to help the ones you love to overcome their nightmares. I enjoyed the journey they took to get to their HEA. I will genuinely miss this group of characters, this series has been an eye opener when it comes to the Addison all message of that even if we see ourselves as damaged, those who love us see us as perfect. And our experiences, good and bad, shape us to who we become.
This book was provided by the Publisher and Netgalley, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
Ok, I think David is now in my Top 5 all time book boyfriends. If not top five then top 10. Holy WOW! While this is a stand alone, it does help to have read the other books to get to know these two before reading their story in full. It helped so that not much back story was needed and to see that the chemistry had been building for 5 months.
Camren had an event happen to her at the age of 12 that would close off anyone, but what she doesn't realize that she is one strong cookie. David has had enough violence come into her ER, we know he came back after Derrick's death and has stayed. But what we didn't see in the previous books is David's HEART. When this boy loves, he L.O.V.E.S. I swooned many of times with how he just worshiped and understood what Camren needed.

Hail, hail the gangs all here for Tyson and Blue's tropical destination wedding. David finally gets Camden to give him the time of day and more...lots more. Then she finds out what he was hiding and runs away. He chases and eventually they get back together. Great book, but I wanted an extra epilogue with everyone.
This book was simply incredible. Its my first book by this author and its a last book in the series and I freaking LOVED IT!!! I cannot believe I have never this author before. This story was so well written and the characters had history, depth and were just incredible, I truly loved this story. There is not one thing I did not love about this story.
The first 40% of this book takes place in Jamaica and its superfun. Like taking a vacation with the characters. Camden and David have known each other 5 months and she has not wanted to date him because he is a bartender and she really want to date a guy with a more stable career. He has this HUGE crush on her because she is sweet, shy and hot. So they have sex in a closet at a friends wedding in Jamaica. Then decide to make it a weekend. But David knows its just step one, he really wants to get to know and spend time with Camden.
They have a great weekend but David has some big secrets, like that he is NOT a bartender and is a dr instead. Some of the friends know and so when its discovered that they knew and no one told Camden the truth she runs home.
One of the big issues why no one told her the truth is that she seemed to have issues with the bartending profession. She has some very good reasons and none have to do with money. But certain friends think its about money. On the other hand David knows he has to tell her the truth,he just put it off too long.
Camden also has secrets. She had a tough life when she was young. She has a mysterious scar and has a tough time giving her truth to David as well. I loved that David really fights for her time and heart. I LOVED how great his family was and how not once does he see Camden as a gold digger when she says she does not want to date a bartender.
This was a very sweet, and romantic story that I truly love and I am now a Stacey Lynn fan and need to read the others in the series.
What a great read! Two damaged people, running/hiding from their pasts, who help each other learn to live and love. I loved the characters in the book and enjoyed watching them help each other.
Stacey Lynn is one of my favorite authors. David and Camden both have to overcome some past traumatic incidents. Very emotional ride. A must read series.
