I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
Sigh
Yes, I started my review with a sigh. Jules and Felix made my day.
Juliet St. Clair was voted sexiest woman of the year. Give her a minute to pretend enthusiasm. She's over worked and doesn't spend enough time doing anything for her. Clearly it's an issue when you have to schedule sleep! Never one to say no, she goes to the photo shoot and meets the sexiest man.
Well he was voted Sexiest man...and he definitely has Jules' vote. But some people (like Ally) judge differently. Felix is expecting the disdain and revulsion everyone seems to throw his way. He even expects the pity and fake sympathy people try to shove on him. What he doesn't expect is Juliet St. Clair.
Well he may have expected her, but he never anticipated her reaction to him. She truly is sexy, but wow. She's human too. Assuming a raging diva would be present makes him look like an idiot, but Felix can't process the sweet, funny, and gorgeous person in front of him.
Would she...?
Could he...?
A date?
One question manages to knock Felix off his tracks. It changes his whole outlook. But which question...
The Feeling of Forever is as much fun, if not more, as book one. I loved it. Jules and Felix make me smile and giddy. It is definitely a feel good book. sigh...enjoy all that Felix has to offer!
Jamie Howard has a way of creating deep, dynamic characters that reach from the pages. Juliet is a sought after actress and Felix is a rocker who is wheelchair bound. They meet by chance on a photoshoot. Its insta-love.
Juliet's stalker adds some suspense and danger to the building relationship. As if a relationship between an actress and a rock star isn't already difficult enough, once you add the stalker, it becomes nearly impossible. But, Felix isn't giving up and I loved that about him! Juliet tried to push him away to keep him safe (Not my favorite plot device) and I was thrilled that Felix saw through that.
In the end, I think the ID of the stalker and how it would all play out was predictable, but it didn't really dampen the story for me since the stalker was more of a sub-plot. For me, the real meat of the story was Juliet and Felix. What Howard has written is a very character driven story about 2 people in difficult professions with difficult histories making love a priority!
Famous starlet Juliet St. Claire need a much break until she was scheduled to do one last photo shoot before her little break. She didn’t know who she was paired up this time but she was looking forward to the rest after the last photo shoot. When she showed up to the photo shoot, she meets sexy, and gorgeous Felix Donavan, drummer to a band that's sitting pretty at the top of the charts. However, he was in a wheelchair.
Donovan didn’t want to do anything after his fatal accident that left him a wheelchair. He never felt like sexiest man anymore and he couldn’t reveal his health condition to the world yet.
Juliet couldn’t believe her eyes and she wanted to make sure the shoot went quick by making Donavan comfortable. Juliet saw him as Donavan. After Juliet leaving her cellphone at the site, Donavan volunteers to return the phone to her and they started hanging out. He couldn’t believe his luck with her. She made him feel so comfortable, he was slowly wishing they were more than just buddies watching movies together.
Once Juliet asked him out on a date, things were looking better for both. They were couple of famous people who enjoyed each other’s company and hanging out with his band buddies.
Until Juliet’s stalker’s letters arrived again. After so many years of torture, she is faced with her stalker again and now she is determined to live her life. But things are turning for the worst, she is attacked at her cast mate’s new years eve party and ended up in the hospital. Now she is more worried than ever and Felix feels helpless when he can’t rescue her from his attacker.
Things escalate more for Juliet and she is trying her best to keep everyone safe. But at what cost?? She wanted to take a hiatus from acting but she didn’t want to give in to the fear. Also she fears what would happen to her sister and step father who has Huntington’s if she didn’t do what she did.
This had ton of suspense. betrayal, friendship and love. I love the fact Juliet is down to earth and fiercely royal to her sister and Felix. She didn’t see him differently, she just saw him as another human being who cared for her whether he was handicapped.
This can be stand alone since I have started this one first. I can’t wait to read about other members of the band.
This was a really good read for me. I loved watching as Juliet and Felix came together. It was so nice to read a book about a character who is disabled and is still able to find love. The story kept me on the edge of my seat and I really enjoyed the book overall.
Having been a huge fan of Jamie Howard since Until It's Right, I was excited to dive into The Feeling of Forever. This time, she brings together the Sexiest Man and Woman alive for a photo shoot that sends sparks flying between Hollywood starlet Juliet St. Clair and recently paralyzed-from-the-waist-down drummer Felix Donovan. Their romance certainly isn't easy, what with Juliet's stalker to contend with and Felix's unwillingness to bring his injury into the eyes of the public or accept that Juliet could possibly love him, even though she's the only one that looks at him without pity.
As I've come to expect from Jamie Howard the romance in the novel was great, and the characters realistic flaws and reactions make for a fantastic read that you'll want to devour in one sitting. Juliet and Felix are a couple you're going to want to root for, even when Juliet's stalker and the couples' own insecurities do their best to keep them apart. I definitely recommend for romance fans - will make for a great beach read this summer!
I read quite a few great reviews for this book which made my expectations pretty high but I was sorely disappointed. There were, of course, plenty of things to enjoy in this book but I didn’t end up enjoying it as much as I thought I would.
Juliet forced herself to come under the limelight due to her family’s financial conditions. As much as she loves her job as an actress but it comes with quite a few negative aspects such as a stalker who made her life quite impossible. Felix who once used to be a ladies man and the drummer of a famous band is now bound to a wheelchair. When these two come together, sparks fly. But when old threats resurface, will they be able to salvage their relationship?
As much as there was diversity in the plot, it was much too predictable. Juliet didn’t come to the show biz by choice but now it’s a part of her life and she loves it. When she and Felix are awarded the year’s sexiest man and woman respectively, they come face to face for the first time and they hit it off. I absolutely loved Juliet, she was humane, understanding, despite being famous she was pretty down to earth and she treated Felix who was wheelchair bound with no difference which defined love is so much more other than just looks.
Felix was a man whore before his life crashed down. But after having Juliet in his life, life sparked in him. Felix was the perfect gentleman, he was caring and adoring. I liked them together but I just couldn’t feel the spark between them. I felt this book was too short, I wanted more plot as well as character development which unfortunately I didn’t get. Also, I kind of saw the plot twist coming which was a bummer though I really felt bad for Juliet, she trusted that person and she got betrayed in return.
Overall, The Feeling of Forever was a nice read. The plot was predictable but the characters were pretty great though I wanted a bit more of everything. The writing was smooth and easy to read and the pace was even throughout the book.
Recommend it?
Yes.

Contemporary New Adult Romance published by Swerve 07 Feb 17
I’m always on the lookout for romances with disabled protagonists, and drummers have long been my favourite band members for rock star romances. So this novel should have been right up my street, in spite of being the second in a series that I hadn’t previously encountered. Throw in a mystery subplot and a pair of protagonists hiding a bunch of secrets from everyone, including their nearest and dearest, and there’s even more reasons that I should have loved this book.
Actress Juliet St. Clare has moved on from being a child star to being voted this year’s Sexiest Woman Alive, although her ever increasing fame has brought with it some very scary so-called fans. After a particularly harrowing experience with a stalker, she’s considered giving in and returning to a more normal life, but her family need her income: her younger sister was diagnosed with a progressive and debilitating illness at an early age, and her step-father is now showing signs that he too is affected. Fortunately, Juliet’s personal assistant is able to stand in for her when the public attention becomes too much, and Juliet has mostly kept her personal life away from the limelight since her stalker was convicted.
By contrast, Felix Donovan used to relish being in the public eye as the drummer of a successful rock band. Paralysed following an accident at a party, he’s been hiding the extent of his injuries from everyone except his bandmates, and is determined to keep things that way: even to the extent of forbidding all those involved in his Sexiest Man Alive photo shoot from revealing any details that might give the game away.
At the shoot, Felix and Juliet rapidly develop a rapport, thanks in no small part to Juliet’s refusal to treat Felix any differently from an able-bodied man, other than to suggest poses that will work well for both of them. The pair start hanging out together, and a romance begins to blossom. However, it seems that Juliet has a stalker once again, and Felix’s reluctance to be seen in public also takes its toll on where they can go together.
While I could sympathise to some extent with Felix’s issues, I did feel that he laid the angst on a little too much. Other musicians – other drummers, even – have found fame, or returned to the stage, with equally taxing disabilities, and his determination to hide his use of a wheelchair wasn’t exactly a positive character trait. Juliet, meanwhile, felt a little bland to me, and also a little too trusting of the people in her immediate circle, even as it became apparent that this time her stalker couldn’t be just anyone.
Not a total failure of a book, but not one that encourages me to read more from the author either.
Grade: C
Juliet no Frlix's story was a great pairing that you do not often get a chance to see in this genre. I will not give it away here. Suffice to say, this is a solid read if you have a couple of free hours.
Hot guy in hot wheels with a pair of hot drumsticks embroiled in a hot romance. That's Felix Donovan for you. Once he was a playboy and had no qualms whatsoever about love and women. But an accident had paralyzed him from waist down and soon he wasn't so sure of himself. Until he met one of the hottest and sexiest woman in Hollywood. Julie St. Claire. He never expected her to love him in return, but Cupid has other tricks in mind, and shot St.Clair with his arrow and life has been a bed of roses ever since.
Until that ex-con stalker was set on the loose. Now Julie received letters and gifts that any other woman would love to receive, except these were laced with threats and malice.
I loved this book from start to finish. I love a character that knows how to see the wrongs of his ways and strives to change for the better. I love the character that doesn't look at the physical disability of a person, but also accept his flaws and shortcomings. I love a character that is selfless and benevolent towards the ones she truly love, and that's her family.
And I love a story filled with loving supporting characters and a plot laced with twists and turns, albeit a little predictable. Yes, this Feeling of Forever I actually need after a stressful week. I love this story by Jamie Howard because it is well-put, well-written and well-researched, too. My first book from Howard and I'm already sold! Would be reading the other Love Unplugged stories really soon!
I DNFd this book. I went into it without knowing that it was part of a series, which explains the extreme disconnect I felt while attempting to read this book.
I LOVED this book! It was so amazing! Felix, he was perfect. The chemistry between these characters was fantastic, there was great banter and an incredibly sweet romance. I can't recommend this book enough!
Great book. ☆☆☆☆☆ rating. Looking forward for more books from this author.
Heroes are normally large, brawny men who are practically indestructible, so reading about a man adjusting to his new circumstances was a wonderful change of pace. I applaud author Jamie Howard for creating a hero with a disability. The Feeling of Forever is strongest when showcasing its leading lady helping her man move past his limitations to see what he’s capable of.
The editors of Celeb! Magazine have spoken and the year’s sexiest woman is none other than Juliet St. Clair. With her popularity on the rise it’s no wonder Juliet was selected but the photo shoot couldn’t have come at a worse time. After weeks on location for her latest movie all Juliet really wants to do is go home to New York and stay out of the limelight for a well-deserved rest. A mix-up by her personal assistant doesn’t leave Juliet much of a choice but to accept the scheduled appointment with the magazine; however what has her really confused is their additional request that she sign a non-disclosure agreement before arriving at the shoot.
The non-disclosure document is one of the conditions drummer Felix Donovan’s people requested when he was named the year’s sexiest man. His band The Downfall is still high on the charts from their last hit single but a planned tour was put on indefinite hold after Felix was hurt in a freak accident and paralyzed from the waist down. Having to rebuild his life around his disability over the past year has been a tough transition for Felix. He was always the one teasing people who were self-conscious about their appearance, but just thinking about what the fans will say about him being in a wheelchair has made him a virtual recluse. If it were up to Felix alone, he wouldn’t have accepted the silly title or agreed to the photo shoot. The other members of the band are sure the exposure will help the group bounce back from delays in releasing new music. Reluctantly, Felix accepts their decision and shows up at the studio hoping the magazine and this year’s sexiest woman will help him keep his secret just a little bit longer.
The photo shoot gets off to a poor start for Juliet when her modeling partner shows up thirty minutes late; however once she sees Felix’s condition she immediately changes her attitude and tries to make things go as smoothly as possible for him. She is no stranger to people with disabilities as her younger sister has been struggling with juvenile Huntington’s for years. Hoping to distract Felix from his insecurities Juliet begins asking him a few nonsense questions until he relaxes. The game changes from a simple distraction technique into full on flirting between the pair but they each leave the studio unsure if they’ll ever cross paths again. Fortunately for them both Juliet accidentally leaves her cell phone at the studio and Felix decides to return it personally as an excuse to see her again.
Felix and Juliet move quickly from friends into a full blown relationship but there are dangers lurking that jeopardize their new found happiness. An obsessed fan has started sending threatening letters to Juliet’s home despite all of the security she’s put in place to protect herself. Things escalate when Juliet is sent photographs taken from somewhere just outside of her building by the stalker. Felix is desperate to protect his girlfriend from this fanatic but being by her side will expose his own injury to the public. When the stalker puts Juliet in the hospital it becomes clear to Felix that his fears about his secret are nothing compared to the terror of losing her for good.
The Feeling of Forever features two people very much in the public eye, but they are both so well grounded that their romance is easy to relate to. Juliet is a somewhat reluctant celebrity and has worked hard to keep her private life separate from what the press and paparazzi get to see. Behind the façade of the sexy, glamorous actress is still a girl who loves her family deeply and will go to great lengths to protect them. Juliet appreciates her fame but still enjoys the simpler things in life, like binge watching a television show or simply hanging out with friends. Felix gets a glimpse of the real Juliet during their magazine shoot and it’s enough of a draw to him that he begins to crawl out of his self-imposed exile in order to get to know her. Her welcoming nature becomes a safe cocoon for him to discuss his fears and how they can be managed with a public lifestyle.
Juliet’s stalker and the dangerous edge to his obsession with her is incorporated into the story quite well. Readers are lulled into a false sense that the plot is only focused on Juliet and Felix’s relationship, with her fan being just another part of her fame. His menace slowly increases from sending disturbing letters to proof that he’s stalking her and then rises to physical threats. Once Felix and Juliet are clearly a couple, Felix sees how much Juliet has been affected by this person’s threats in the past and how they’re escalating now. It spurs him to action, both in protecting her but also in reclaiming his public life to show the press that Juliet is supported and loved. There’s an unexpected twist relating to who is really out to hurt Juliet and it gave me chills to think that sometimes we are not as protected as we want to believe.
Ms. Howard has fun with her characters in The Feeling of Forever by balancing their celebrity lifestyles with the things that matter to all of us, like love and security. It’s a cute story that had me laughing and biting my nails at the same time. I’ll be very interested to see the other band members featured as the Love Unplugged series continues.
Juliet hated nothing more than planes but she did believe in science. Juliet had just been told by Ally she had just won “Sexiest Woman Alive”. Ally was Juliet's’ personal assistant and best friend. The past year had been a blur to Juliet who was an actress. Juliet had been running herself in the ground for several years and wanted some her time. Felix had been voted the “Sexiest Man Alive” for Celeb Magazine but the public didn't know there had been an accident and Felix was now in a wheelchair. Felix was part of a band called Downfall, Felix was the drummer. His band mate Ben said they could use the publicity. Felix had avoided women since the accident other than the nurses at the hospital and his physical therapist. Juliet was a nice person but she also felt Felix was still hot even in a wheelchair that didn’t matter to her. Felix was attracted to Juliet also. Juliet had left her phone at the photo shoot and the next day Felix showed up at her apartment to give it back to her and Juliet invited him in to eat. Juliet had a stalker that had been put in jail but he just got out and Juliet got a note from him through the mail. Felix made Juliet feel better and she let him know she was interested in being more than friends. Felix told Juliet he wanted the same. Juliet had a sister with Juvenile Huntington Disease it was difficult for Elle- her sister- to walk or anything that required any fine motor skills even speech and now her stepfather had the same disease. Juliet felt guilty taking some time for herself. Then Juliet found out her stalker had been in her apartment then later on pictures were sent of her and Felix and a threat was made to Felix. Juliet said she needs space.
An excellent story and I loved it. A lot of action but romance also. It definitely kept your interest as you wanted to see what would happen next. I loved how Felix's band mates would not leave him behind and were there for him. I also loved how Juliet seen the man and not the wheelchair. This is one of my new favorite stories. I loved the characters and the plot and the ins and outs also how the author brought up about a little known disease at least by me. I highly recommend this
4.5 stars
The Feeling of Forever was a well written, heartfelt read, I really enjoyed it.
The storyline was entertaining, the characters were likable, engaging and my interest was captured from the the first page until the end.
Another wonderful read by the talented Jamie Howard and a great addition to the Love Unplugged series.
Thank you to St Martin's Press via Netgalley for the advance copy.
Juliet St. Clair has spent her life under Hollywood's spotlight. While being America's favorite girl next door has had its perks, having to testify against her stalker to put him behind bars certainly wasn't one of them. But when she thinks about walking away from it all, she can't help remembering the enormous pile of medical bills her family is drowning under. Bills that just keep on coming.
Felix Donovan had it all--stunning good looks, gorgeous women, and a spot as the drummer to a band that's sitting pretty at the top of the charts. Until one life-altering decision left him paralyzed from the waist down. He doesn't know whether to laugh or cry when he wins this year's Sexiest Man award, but the one thing he immediately does is send out a Non-disclosure agreement. Hiding his condition from the public is hard as hell, but he's not ready to face the world while he's still struggling to accept his new reality.
Except this year's Sexiest Woman--Juliet St. Clair--never looks at him with pity, only desire. But falling for Juliet means a permanent spot in the tabloids, a decision Felix isn't sure he's ready to make. And when Juliet's stalker re-emerges from her past, Felix's secret isn't the only thing at stake, it could cost Juliet her life.
Jamie Howard is a book genius that I rate right up there with Kristen Ashley and Jill Shalvis!! She did an absolute awesome job with this book. Not only do you have romance but you have some suspense and intrigue going on. I loved Jamie's writing style. It kept my attention from the beginning to the very last page and I'm on pins and needles as to the next book.
Felix, oh Felix...I freaking love you!! When I read a description of a book I look for something that literally tells a story. I want a plot....I want a beginning, a middle and an ending. I want the full monty. I like to have the fullness of a story told to me. This was that and more. Felix wasn't your average guy. He's a drummer and a year ago he was in an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. To say that he's a little down on life is an understatement. He doesn't really think that he'll ever date or go out again but then he has to do a photo shoot for Sexiest Man of the Year and he meets Sexiest Woman of the Year and they just click with a game of "Would you Rather." Jules is down to earth and she carries the world on her shoulders. She doesn't want to live in the spotlight. In fact, she'd be quite happy living her life in the shadows and being a nobody. Her assistant is the one who makes all her appearances for her since they look so much alike and she likes it that way. She can live on the quiet side of town while her assistant lives in a swanky apartment uptown. The only thing that throws a wrench in everything is the fact that she has a stalker and he just doesn't want to leave her alone...cause hello - stalker?! The thing about this book is, just when you think you know what's going to happen...you're wrong and it's taken in a completely different direction. I thought I knew what was going on because I have some keen detecting skills but I kept going back and forth. Who's the stalker? Will they get to Jules in time? It keeps you on the edge of your seat for the last 25 percent of the book and it's horrible if you have to work the next morning. I came to love Felix's roommate and I can't wait for his book. Seriously, there are just some books where you are like "I read that author, I love that author, I have to read all her other books if she has any." That's the kind of book this is. I would get this for my mother and I believe this is the one I woke her up at 3 a.m. over because of a crucial part in the book because I was like "You will never guess what happened in the book I am reading?" Yes, we are THAT type of family...we wake each other up if we read something that shocks us, makes us laugh, or makes us cry!!!! Well done Jamie Howard on this book!
I was given a copy of this ARC from the publisher on Netgalley for a honest review. All of the above comments are my express opinions and no one else's.
Might as well get right to the point here…I loved Felix and Juliet’s story. And, even though I’ve read this type of book before (and I also guessed the twist), this was one of those rare books where that didn’t matter at all. I still wished it was 100 pages longer. I wanted to spend more time with these two. I wanted to bask in their love, and I wanted to snuggle up close to the secondary characters (*waves at Gavin*). In short, this book made my heart happy.
Felix was left paralyzed from the waist down after a tragic incident and he’s hiding from the world. As the drummer for a famous band, he doesn’t want anyone to see him as he’s become…he doesn’t even want to see it himself. Juliet is a famous actress who seen her share of tragedy both personally and in her family. But, both of these characters are strong. Much as they may want to change their pasts, or maybe even hide from them, their emotional fortitude drives them forward. They’re a perfect match. As I read this story I really fell in love with both of them and rooted for them from the beginning. I was totally invested in their love story and absolutely enjoyed their chemistry.
In reality, this book has two stories in one. The romance and between Juliet and Felix, and the struggles each is facing…his paralysis and her stalker. When you put these story lines together it’s quite a ride. I didn’t want to put the book down. This story brought all the feels…the heartbreak, the sadness, the joy, the relief, and the giddiness of new love. I found myself smiling, tearing up, and sighing. I definitely recommend this story to anyone who, like me, loves love and enjoys seeing characters face their challenges head on. This was a great read!
A few months ago I read the first book in this series, All The Ways You Saved Me, and at that time I was really hoping book 2 would be about Ben and Rachel. It wasn't but did that make me sad? Not a little bit because I really wanted to know more about Felix and how he was dealing with things after going through some rough things and that's what I got. I just loved everything about this book.
I really, really loved the characters in this book. As I said, I wanted to know more about Felix because in All The Ways You Saved Me we learn that he is paralyzed from the waist down. I loved to see how much he grew in this book and how he ended up accepting what happened to him and accepting that it was his life now. In the beginning we see Felix hiding what happened to him from almost everyone and not really living because he can't accept what happened but I really enjoyed how Jamie Howard wrote his story and how she showed his acceptance. I just think that there's not a lot of books that focus on these kind of disabilities but it was great to see that his friends and loved ones didn't look at him with pity and that they still see him as the Felix they knew and not wheelchair Felix. Also, I loved how much he loved Juliet and how he tried to be better for her even when he didn't need to be better.
Juliet was also amazing. She was just an amazing person and she did everything for her family. I loved how down to earth she was even when she was a movie star. Normally, in books like this you see that the characters might have lost a little bit of themselves for being in Hollywood and being super rich but Juliet wasn't like that. She was this amazing girl who would do anything to help her family happy and to help him and she was such a supportive girlfriend. Also, she was a badass even when her life was a mess and even if she was in danger. I really loved her and she was just a great character. I really loved both Juliet and Felix but I still loved them together more because they were just adorable. I really enjoyed how they relationship developed because while it might have seemed a little bit fast in the beginning it still wasn't. They still got to know each other before anything happened and let me tell you that I loved how supportive of each other these two were.
However, one of my favorite things in this book is the band's dynamics. As you might know (or not) this series is about the guys from the band and I love to see all of them together. Unlike some other books I've read recently they are best friends and support each other in everything. I just love how they are not only friends but basically a family. I just can't wait to read both Gavin and Ben's books because I know I'll love those... and because I'm pretty sure Ben will be my favorite guy from the band. I know I asked for this before, but can I have Ben and Rachel's story now?? I really need to know what's happening between those two.
With this being my third Jamie Howard book I already knew how much I would love the writing style. I love that her books are told in dual POV and her writing flows really easily. I just love to read her books. However, this book was kind of predictable and I knew what one of the outcomes would be... I just don't know how Juliet didn't realize about it before.
Overall, this was another amazing book by Jamie Howard and I loved everything about it. Once again, I'm pretty sure this won't be my last book she has written... I would be a little bit happier if the next one is Ben's book but I'll be okay if it's Gavin's book anyway XD. You should definitely give this one a try if you love contemporary romances and amazing bands that are more like a family than a normal band.
To start, I've got to say that I'm a big fan of Jamie Howard's writing and just love her books. She has a seriously masterful way with words and her storytelling is top notch!
This is the second book in the Love Unplugged series and we get to see more of band member Felix here, as well as meet Juliet, who is a Hollywood starlet. Both of these people have some clouds hanging over them, and this is such a great, and suspenseful, ride seeing them bring the sun out for each other.
Juliet is sweet, but still fiesty and I really loved her fierceness and honesty. She worked really well at being the woman to bring Felix back out of his shell, and I loved them together from the first moment they met. Felix was also that great mix of grumpy, vulnerable, funny, and sweet that is totally swoonworthy!
This being a series, many of the side characters are band members or their partners (or, in Rachel's case, a friend who totally SHOULD be a partner!!). The interactions between them all are so genuine and they make me wish they really existed 'cause I would hang out with them in a heartbeat! I really look forward to some of their stories, but also liked how their romances are only really hinted at and blended well so as to not steal the show.
There are some heavier threads in this, most notably the fact that Felix is in a wheelchair as the result of a horrible accident, and the way that he is still dealing with all that that means for his life. Huntington's disease is also near and dear to our heroine's heart. Both of these are treated with the respect they are due, without being "distracting."
I am generally very quick to figure out a mystery, but this one took a lot longer than most for me to figure out! It kept me guessing just long enough, then second-guessing, and then came the pay-off!!
If you like characters who feel like friends, romances with both hot tension AND heart, and a bit of suspense, this is definitely the book for you! (And if you like the first two, Jamie is the author for you!!)
