4 1/2 Stars!

The Feeling of Forever is book two in the Love Unplugged series. I didn't read the first one, All The Ways You Saved Me, and I was okay reading this one. I didn't feel lost so I would say you can read this one as a standalone.

Juliet is a Hollywood star. Although she is a star she is down to earth and not up tight. Felix is the drummer of a band. He's had an accident and is paralyzed from the waist down. They are both super sexy and voted Sexiest Woman and Man of the year. They meet at a photo shot. Felix is still hung up on being in a wheelchair but Jules is amazing and doesn't treat Felix any differently. They have a connection. I was totally hooked on their story. They start a relationship but they have their crazy schedules, Felix being paralyze, and Juliet have a stalker. They are happy times, frustrating times, sexy times, and suspenseful times in this story. Juliet and Felix are great characters and I loved reading their story.

This is my third book by Jamie Howard, and I have to say that I just love her writing. This book is told in the first person, dual POV, and the writing is awesome. While it is not necessary to read the first book of this series, All the Ways You Saved Me, I would still think it gives you a better understanding of the band dynamics and the supporting characters.

And this is a big part of why I’m loving this series so much, the band, the friendships, the dynamics they have. It’s great 😀 .

Both main characters are amazing, and very well constructed. Juliet was thrown into acting when she was super young, but she never lost sight of who she was, and she was just such a good person. Even when dealing with impossibly hard situations, she was always humble and kept her sweet nature. She won me over the first time she saw Felix!

Felix was a delight to read. I’m glad that the book focused a bit on his journey to acceptance of his new reality, because it wasn’t easy for him to deal with it, and he was still not ready for a lot of things, and I’m glad that the story focused on that. There was no pressure from the people who loved him, but there was always a ton of support and that was awesome to read.

The relationship starts up fast, but it develops over time, and unlike some other novels of the genre, we actually see these two extremely busy people in a relationship together. Which, again, soper great. I loved their connection and their romance, how they opened up to one another and really got close.

I found the plot kind of predictable in some points to be honest, but it might have been just me. I still really liked it. There’s a bit of suspense on this romance, so if you like that, definitly read this one.

Overall I really really loved this book, and I can’t wait for the next one in the series, because I’m so curious about the last 2 pairings.

I loved - like crazy loved - the first book in this series. All the Ways You Saved Me basically knocked my socks off, so I was beyond excited to get my hands on The Feeling of Forever and even more excited to say that I loved this book nearly as much. There's no sophomore slump here - I felt the same addictive pull to the story, the same intense investment in the characters, and the same blissed out happiness at the ending.

If you aren't reading Jamie Howard books yet, you're missing out on something special. I can't put my finger on exactly what the draw is, but I'm pretty sure it's the masterful storytelling. The story is so easy to fall into - it hooks you from the very first page and keeps you on the hook until the very last. The dialogue flows effortlessly and authentically - from flirty banter to serious, heartfelt discussions. The whole thing just feels so real, and I loved every minute of it.

Speaking of love...

I have a mad, mad crush on Juliet. I want to be her girlfriend. I absolutely adored her in a way that I have adored few other heroines. She's straightforward and kindhearted and brave. I just loved that she didn't pull any punches. She stayed true to herself and she held Felix accountable for his behavior. MAJOR girl crush going on here.

And Felix? He's not too shabby either. In fact, he ticks most of my "favorite hero" boxes: wounded, crabby, alpha protective? Check, check, check. I adored all of these things about him and more -- his growth over the course of the story was completely rewarding and his relationship with Juliet? Ugh. So good.

I loved everything about this story - from the slow burn start to Felix and Juliet's relationship, to the completely satisfying conclusion (and all of the pulse-pounding plot points in between). I figured out the mystery well before it was revealed, but because I wouldn't classify this as a mystery book, it didn't really bother me. The romance is hot and swoony and the characters are 100% loveable and - in the end? So was this book. ~ 4.5 Stars

4.5 “Juliet, let me be your stalker” Stars

Thank you, Swerve.

Yeah, from that title up there I guess you already know I love Juliet, right? The deal is, I don’t just love her. I love LOVE her. Like Ella Harper from Paper Princess level of love.

Unlike Ella, who conquered my heart last year with her sass and take-no-bullshit attitude, Juliet made my favorite female characters ever list by being super sweet, completely relatable and pretty much perfect. I know some will say “but perfect isn’t realistic and blablabla”. Here’s my answer:

She’s just the best.

Before I get into how and why Juliet is book-girlfriend material, let me just thank (and congratulate) Jamie Howard for writing, yet again, a character I fall madly in love with. In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, read my review of Until It’s Right. This author is responsible for creating one of my most precious book boyfriends, Mr. Kyle I-still-love-you Lawson, and now she’s giving me a book girlfriend, too. Well, Jamie, if you haven’t noticed this from the fact that I’ve read all your books, then know you have a fan in me.

The Feeling of Forever is the second book in a series that focuses on the love lives of the guys in a famous band, and even though Felix, the drummer, was also an amazing character, his love interest and the female leading lady was the one who stole the show for me.

Juliet St. Clair is one of Hollywood’s favorite actresses and the Sexiest Woman of the year. She’s also nothing you’d expect from a rich superstar. Instead of demanding, Juliet gives. Instead of looking down, she sees the best in people. Instead of acting like she owns the world, she seeks peace and privacy. Juliet is good, and she’s just what we need in such a bad world.

Plus, Juliet has impeccable taste, as you can see from this:

“But hey, there was no such thing as having too much Joshua Jackson in your life.”

Juliet establishes herself as a force to be reckoned with early on in the story. Her attitude when she meets Felix is as perfect as it’s honest. Her confidence is reassuring, because she doesn’t have to be loud, bossy or sassy (there’s nothing wrong with those things, mind you) to show everyone around her that she knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to put herself out there. I love my sassy characters, but it’s not often that we see Juliet’s kind of confidence. A quieter but still powerful confidence. I was so, so pleased to see it.

I absolutely loved all the ways Juliet showed Felix that she was into him. How she helped him, in a not obvious way (another great thing), to move past his own fears and insecurities. How she handled herself with grace in every situation, no matter how hard life was kicking her. How she never complained or stop believing things would get better. How she fought for what she wanted/deserved.

“You deserve better and you know it.”
She shot to her feet. “I deserve whatever the hell I want. You don’t get to decide that. (…)”

With all of that and much more that you’ll get to see if you read this book, Juliet won my heart.

But, okay, enough of Juliet (for now). Felix will also make you feel and win your heart!

To contrast Juliet’s brighter personality, Felix has a darker side to him. I’m not sure if he’s always been like that or if it’s a result of the accident that left him paralyzed… maybe both. But even though he isn’t exactly an optimist, Felix is dealing with his paralysis much better than some other characters out there. And Jamie Howard is portraying disability with the respect it deserves.

Sure in the beginning Felix thinks himself unworthy of the best things in life, because he thinks he’s a burden—to his roommate and best friend, to the amazing, beautiful, smart and sexy girl who’s invinting him to movie nights on her couch (where things much, much hotter happen), but I kind of expected this behavior from him. Some more evolved people out there might deal with changes in their lives in a more balanced way, but most people, me and Felix included, aren’t like that. And this has less to do with a disability, but more to do with change.

Change is hard, and it takes time to adapt your mentality to it. Felix is in that phase, but he isn’t alone. He has a great support system. His friends are the best (I loved the Xmas scenes at Ian’s house with all of them sleeping in the living room). His girlfriend never, I mean never, makes a big deal of the fact that he can’t walk. She never even thinks it’s an inconvenience, and that certainly helps him understand how to move forward. All of that, combined with how layered his arc is and how respectful the author's approach is, makes watching Felix embrace the big chance in his life even more pleasing.

Felix is a good guy and Jamie Howard knows how to write good guys well.

Aside from Juliet's awesomeness, Felix's arc and the incredible chemistry between them, this story stands out because of the suspense aspect. As the blurb explains, Juliet has been suffering with a stalker for years and he's back to haunt her and try to take the joy out of her life. The whole mystery wasn't as hard to figure out as some might like (I had a pretty good idea of what was happening, who was responsible and what the motive was pretty early on), but it brought something new to the story, so I appreciate it.

Truth is, with or without the stalker element, this book would've still been great. Juliet St. Clair would've made sure of that.

Now, I NEED Rachel and Ben's story, which I'm guessing Jamie Howard will be saving for last, because we already got a sneak peek of Gavin and the red-haired woman who broke his heart and I'm betting that's what we're going to see next. No complaints here because I want to know what happened, but can we pretty please get Rachel and Ben soon?

I was really into this story. The characters were realistic and nuanced, and their relationship was completely believable.

Fun, easy to read with a surprising twist and refreshing look at disability.

I was intrigued by Jamie Howard's The Feeling of Forever when I read that the hero, Felix Donovan, was paralyzed from the waist down after a tragic accident. Felix is the drummer in a famous band and is struggling to accept his new reality of life in a wheelchair. He’s been hidden away in his home from everyone, especially from the media, and trying to cope.

He’s selected as this year's Sexiest Man and reluctantly agrees to a photoshoot for the award that includes the Sexiest Woman, Jules S. Clair, taking a small first step towards returning to living life. Jules is a famous, successful actress who has a hectic life and is feeling drained from the demand of fame and acting. When she meets Felix, she doesn’t see a man in a wheelchair - she just sees the incredibly sexy Felix.

After hitting it off at the photoshoot, they begin to spend time together, but this is the first time Felix has attempted any kind of relationship with a woman since the accident. He is hesitant and unsure of himself, and Jules definitely has to take charge to show him that she is interested in him. He is still in a place where he believes no woman could want him; therefore, he slowly opens up to the possibilities with Jules. It was so lovely to see him finding his confidence again, and they begin to find a rhythm together until Jules is threatened by a stalker that had been sentenced to jail a few years ago.

I loved Felix and my heart broke for him as he dealt with all the emotions surrounding the lose of his legs. Jules was perfect for him and together they formed a true partnership and have amazing chemistry. Ms. Howard did an excellent job of delivering a hero who is outside the norms expected in contemporary romance, and she really hit it out of the park with Felix. You will be thinking about him long after you finish The Feeling of Forever. I am excited to read the next book in this series featuring Gavin.

Loved this one! Juliet and Felix are both such interesting characters you can't help but be pulled in. The writing is fantastic and the story has a natural easy pace that lets the relationship between these characters develop with a nice slow build. I enjoyed all the little twists the story took and I really enjoyed the ending.

This is the second book in the series but it is definitely fine as a standalone read. I highly recommend this one.

I was super excited to read another book by this author and happy to find out that some of the same characters were involved! In this romantic read, Juliet St. Clair and Felix Donovon (both the sexiest celbs alive) meet and find that love can appear at the strangest time, as well as that people aren't always what you expect. Felix has had a terrible accident, leaving him wheelchair bound, his accident has caused insecurities and he can't believe that Jules would want to be more than friends. Their relationship is adorable and their support of each other is nice to read, specifically as Felix decides to tell the world about his accident and Jules faces her stalker. I really enjoy this story, it's steamy and sweet as well as full of mystery that kept me devouring the book in one sitting! Keep on writing about this band!

Thank you, Ms Howard, for writing a great romance with a differently-abled hero. We need more diversity in mainstream fiction, and I thought The Feeling of Forever was a wonderful example. It manages to deal with Felix's disability without dwelling on the difficulties involved too deeply. It's a fine balance when you're working with the romance genre, but I think Howard hits that balance well. Now I've got that off my chest, I can concentrate on the rest of the book.

I read and loved the first book in this series, so when this one came up on Netgalley I jumped at the chance to review it. Although I almost passed it by based on the cover - so not the usual rock star romance style, which is good in a way but bad for lovers of the genre. Because no matter what they say, we do judge books by their covers! Once you get past the sweet and fluffy cover picture though, you're treated to a romance that follows all the usual rules while managing to keep its own voice and individuality. The Feeling of Forever is well-written, with characters that make you want to know them in real life, while at the same time maintaining that element of escapism that we all love in this genre. As a fan of rock star romances I've ploughed through a lot, and I'm happy to say that the Love Unplugged series weighs in at the high quality end of the scale, books I'd be happy to read again and look forward to the next in the series.

when felix donovan meets juliet st. clair it's over. he knows that she is all he wants in his life. she's the person he wants to be with always. and juliet feels the same way. they may not admit it to each other right then and there, but it's love. it's true and strong and forever.

so why is there a whole novel about these two lovebirds called the feeling of forever? well, it's complicated. juliet is a famous actress with a stalker problem. a stalker problem so bad that she had to testify and has extra security now that he's out of prison. and felix, well, we met felix before in all the ways you saved me. he's ian's bandmate who ended up paraplegic after a freak accident. it's been a year and he's still dealing with the emotional trauma of the incident.

like he still hasn't let it be known that he's in a wheelchair. physically he's strong, he's fit. he's doing pt, he's doing all the right things. but mentally he's still not ready to accept that people will see him differently. he's not ready to accept that he must see himself differently. and that makes his connection with juliet so extraordinary. because she simply accepts that he is in a wheelchair and never lets it define him. he doesn't feel less than in her eyes and that makes him feel strong enough to just be who he is in public.

but as their relationship grows and deepens and he becomes precious to juliet, she is compelled to cut him out of her life. the evil stalker not only attacks juliet in such a way to have staged a suicide attempt, but threatens felix and her family. and juliet cannot bear to think of her loved ones suffering on her behalf in any way. and so even though it shatters her, she cuts off all communication. felix doesn't understand and fights for her until he's just about ready to give up. and then when the stalker kidnaps juliet and juliet's sister convinces him that something is wrong, it's almost too late.

but it's not, because juliet and felix love each other. they always have. they always will. from the moment they met it was a forever kind of thing. and sometimes it's nice to read a story where you're not really worried about the if, and just enjoy the when. when it all comes together it is perfect and sweet and you just close the book, or shut down your kindle, totally blissed out. (ok, so maybe that's just me. but god, i love a happy ending.)

This story follows, Juliet St. Clair America's Sweetheart and famous actress and Felix Donovan who is the drummer of a famous band "The Downfall". When this years sexiest man and sexiest woman winners first meet on the set of a photo shoot sparks fly and a relationship forms.

Felix has a disability which he has kept hidden from the world and must risk it becoming public when his relationship with Juliet becomes public also. He is not sure if this is something he is ready to share with the world. Juliet must fear for her life and relationship with Felix when someone from her past reemerges.

The character and relationship development between the hero and heroine is fantastic. Juliet and Felix are both interesting, well-rounded characters. Their relationship develops naturally, and the story is well-paced. The chemistry and banter between all the characters in this story is great to see.

I absolutely loved this book and will definitely be picking up more novels from Jamie Howard.

I didn't realize that this was the second book in a series but it seems to be one that you can read as a standalone. Breezing through the description of the first one, it looks like it follows a different could but they're still connected with the prior book because Felix is in a band with the guy in the first book.

I actually really enjoyed this one, especially with the fact that there was honest-to-goodness character development involved. Mainly in Felix's character.

The person who actually behind Juliet's second stalking had caught me by surprise. It was a plot twist where I hadn't even suspected the person in the first place!

I do wish that there had been some warning when it came to the sex scenes. Jamie sort of skimmed through them but there was some description involved.

If you happen to like whodunits mixed with romance, I HIGHLY recommend this book when it comes out on February 7, 2017!

First of all thank you for giving me an ARC of this book, i really enjoy it. Here's my review:
Juliet St.Clair is a famous actress, America’s favorite girl next-door. She is a sweetheart, she may be famous but it doesn’t make her a brat, she’s a strong girl, smart, have good personality, straightforward, doesn’t judge anyone from their appearance, and humble. I feel like I compliment her but no that’s her character here, she’s a really good woman, she also love her family and they’re the reason for her being an actress.

Felix Donovan, a drummer to pretty famous band with a gorgeous look and the Sexiest man alive. He’s a good guy not a douche, determined, and used to be a bright & positive person until the accident happened that makes his leg paralyzed. After the accident he become less positive-mind person and a bit moody. It’s understandable though, especially with people giving you pitying look, it’s uncomfortable. So he mostly hiding in his apartment & avoid media or publication since they doesn’t know that Felix has an accident.

Both side doesn’t know who’s the other sexiest man/woman alive but Juliet & Felix doesn’t feel excited to do photoshoot as Sexiest man/woman alive. For Juliet, it give people another reason to judge her for just her physical appearance forgetting that she has brain and emotion, for Felix doing photoshoot means letting people see him in wheelchair when media doesn’t know it. But it all change when they meet the other person on location. Juliet being a good person she is doesn’t surprised or pitying Felix when he arrived in photoshoot location in wheelchair, instead she come to him to introduced herself as his photoshoot partner for today and actually making conversation, not just formality/fake conversation, she also helps him, in a way, during photoshoot which makes Felix grateful. Meeting someone who doesn’t take pity on him is a great thing especially if it’s from Juliet st. Clair, a gorgeous actress that he really like, looking at him as if his legs still working fine and make him laugh again & comfortable during photoshoot.

After the photoshoot they hang out for few days and they can’t deny the attraction so they decide to date and it’s all good until Juliet’s stalker start to come and slowly threatening people she love.

It’s a good book, good story, I just wish the photoshoot scene have more pages but it’s okay. Through this book we get reminded that celebrities are human too, fact that we sometimes forget. Most of time they get judged for their physical appearance and things they do. Same like some of us, they don’t like being touched without their concern. And though it’s a risk they know and take to have their privacy strip to almost none, but people have to understand the line they shouldn’t cross.

I really like the characters, the changes that happened to them, their relationship development though it seems rush at the start but again they already like each other before the photoshoot so it’s fine, it grows in good pace not to fast nor slow. I like how both of them make effort to maintain their relationship, not just one side but both of them. There's also friends and family aspect that help and support both main characters and their witty banter. I also like the stalker mystery eventhough it's not much.
In conclusion I like this book, I hope there will be books about Gavin with Dani and Ben with Rachel, I’m so gonna read it.

'The Feeling of Forever' was a quick read with unexpected depth. Although the storyline revolved around two celebrities' love affair, the book didn't feel like an empty display of glitz, glam, and wealth. Felix, who'd recently become disabled, was trying to figure out how to (physically and emotionally) navigate the world with his handicap. With two close family members with Huntington's disease, Jules knew all too well how much health challenges could disrupt one's life. After meeting each other at a photo shoot and establishing a cordial relationship, they fell hard and fast. I only have a few critiques. Since Jules's relationship with her sister is one of the most anchoring relationships in Jules's life, it would have been wonderful to have her sister's presence felt more throughout the story. That way, readers would have been better able to experience the uniqueness of their bond. Additionally, given how forthcoming and consistent Jules had been in her relationship with Felix, her response to the stalker's threats didn't seem realistic. In any case, this was a nice, escapist read for a slow afternoon.

(Goodreads and later Amazon)
A very fulfilling read with the right amount of angst, tenderness and love. I liked the down-to-earth heroine and the fact that she and the hero, despite their celebrity status, behave like sensible and realistic people. The hero is gorgeous. And those secondary characters… I’m just waiting for their own stories.

I was super excited to be approved by NetGalley for The Feeling of Forever. I've never read a book by Jamie Howard before, but I've heard amazing things about her books and have wanted to read one. I'm so happy the opportunity came about with The Feeling of Forever. I absolutely loved this book!

Juliet and Felix's relationship was adorable from the moment they met. I don't think Jamie Howard could have come up with a better meet cute situation for a couple of celebrities. I adored everything about Juliet and Felix's relationship from that very first moment they saw each other. Their thoughts about each other made me smile so much. As the story went on and their relationship strengthened, I fell in love with them even more. They were perfect for each other.

Juliet is one of my favorite female characters ever. She was such a good person. Her movie star status didn't turn her into an entitled brat. Instead, she used her stardom for good. I loved the relationship she had with her family and how it made her see the world. I loved how it made her see Felix differently than other celebrity women might have. Even in her worst moments, Juliet put others first.

Felix could have been a frustrating character to read about, but Jamie Howard ensured that he wasn't. His new path in life was tough and he hadn't given up, but he wasn't quite living to his full potential. Meeting Juliet changed his life in a good way. She gave him that little push he needed to get out of his own head.

All of the supporting characters in The Feeling of Forever were fun, too. I hadn't read the first book in the series, but it didn't really matter. The Feeling of Forever didn't give away much from it. I was also still able to make connections with the characters that originated in that book. It was like reading a standalone novel, but it made me excited to go back and read All the Ways You Saved Me and any upcoming books in this series. I'm hoping there will be several more!

The only complaint I can see anyone making about this book was that it was a little predictable. That didn't bother me. I had so much fun waiting for the story to unravel and reveal what I thought the outcome would be. There were still little surprises in store along the way.

New adult fans need to get their hands on this book when it comes out! I can't rave enough about how much I enjoyed The Feeling of Forever. Jamie Howard has a new fan.

After loving the first book in Jamie Howard's Love Unplugged series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on THE FEELING OF FOREVER.

Paralyzed from the waist down after an accident, famous drummer Felix Donovan keeps his disability a secret from the world. When he meets actress Juliet St. Clair at a photoshoot, sparks immediately fly and their flirting quickly grows into a relationship. But going public about their love means Felix must also risk going public about his paralysis, a detail he's not sure he's ready to share. And when a stalker from Juliet's past reemerges, it's not just their relationship in danger, but Juliet's life.

There is so much to love about this story.

First of all, the banter between Felix and his best friend Gavin is hilarious, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in this series to see Gavin get his HEA. All the boys of The Downfall (their band) are all so different and lovable, and in addition to their romances, I enjoy seeing their friendship as well.

Juliet and Felix are both flawed, real people, and I loved watching their relationship unfold. I could feel the chemistry between them, and their banter was also adorable.

In addition to the romance, there's a great mystery element to this book. While FEELING OF FOREVER is definitely a contemporary romance, I think it will also appeal to fans of romantic suspense.

I enjoyed seeing familiar characters from ALL THE WAYS YOU SAVED ME again, although FEELING could also be read as a standalone.

My fourth favorite thing is a spoiler so I won't share it, but there's an awesome twist in this book.

I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Juliet St. Clair is one of Hollywood’s hottest actresses. Felix Donovan is the drummer for one of the country’s most popular bands. Neither of them is particularly thrilled to find they’ve been named the year’s Sexiest Woman and Sexiest Man, but according to their publicists, there’s not much of a choice in the matter. They’re especially not thrilled to find that they’re required to do a photoshoot together. Juliet, because she was really looking forward to some downtime after her insane schedule the last few months. And Felix, well, he isn’t too happy about it since he’s been hiding from the press after a recent accident left him paralyzed from the waist down.

While neither of them expects to get too much out of the shoot, what they find is that they’re perfectly suited to each other. Felix is thrilled (although a little suspicious) when Juliet doesn’t even bat an eyelash at his present condition. Juliet appreciates that Felix seems to see past her celebrity status and piles of money and actually like her as a person. It’s not long before they’re spending all their free time together, but can a relationship between an A-list actress and a reclusive drummer actually work?

Alright, I absolutely loved this book. Both Juliet and Felix felt real, and I never once doubted their connection. Their relationship built naturally, and I loved that Felix’s paralysis was never brushed aside, but was also never used gratuitously to advance the plot. I loved that Juliet saw Felix for who he really was, and not just as some tragic story in a wheelchair. I loved that Felix cared so much for Juliet and tried so hard to protect her.

There is a side plot of a stalker from Juliet’s past who comes back to haunt her. Though this is usually the type of storyline to make me throw a book aside in disgust, I thought that Jamie Howard handled it really well. This type of storyline is usually very over-the-top, with the stalker making bold, uncalculated moves to throw the victim into a frantic state of worry, and I wonder how exactly the culprit gets away with it, and how exactly the police can be dumb enough not to find them. In this case, though, it’s more subtle.

Juliet gets an ominous note, often just a sentence or two, in an unmarked envelope. She gets a photo in the mail of a moment she thought was private. There are big moves, too, things that it would seem weird for a random person to get away with, but somehow it makes sense. Honestly, the only reason I took a star off of my rating is that I saw the identity of her stalker coming from a mile away. I can’t fault the author, though, because it’s the only outcome that makes sense.

Everything about this book was great, from the pacing to the writing to the balance between romance and drama. Excuse me for a moment while I add Jamie Howard to my list of must-read authors.

Final rating: ★★★★☆

Thank you to Netgalley and Swerve for the ARC!
