Stormchaser wasn't my favorite title out of the Cutter Cay series.

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one. Way to go.

Running, guns, sex, secrets and all the usual trademark Cherry Adair flair, what more could you ask for? I’m shamed to say this sat on my TBR pile for far too. long and that’s a big mistake on my behalf. So good.

Not my favorite book. I skimmed over most of it and forced myself to finish it. i just couldn't get interested in the characters and the plot was a little too out there.

Stormchaser is action packed, suspenseful, romantic, and the twists and turns will keep you turning the pages to find out what gonna happen. The characters Callie and Jonah have a instant attraction from the get go. I enjoyed reading this book, but I wish I had read the previous ones to get the back story on the Cutter clan. I will just have to go and start at the beginning to get my answers.

Everything you'd expect in a fast paced story, suspense, intrigue, heart stopping drama, and of course romance. Throw in treasure hunters and you have the makings for a thrill ride. All in one story and you have one that you'll have a hard putting down once you get started. My only regret is that I haven't read the first three books in the series...which I plan remedying.

Calista West, a marine archaeologist, is heading toward the coast of Greece to join Jonah Cutter on his ship the STORMCHASER. It isn't fame or fortune she is seeking, she is after revenge. But what she didn't expect was that this man would be so devastatingly handsome. Or so different than what she was led to believe he would be.

Jonah Cutter and his half brothers are salvagers and have brought up a number of amazing finds from the depth of the ocean and this find may be the most amazing of all. He worked hard to get Dr. West to join him for this find but even he didn't expect to be so drawn to the woman. The ring on her finger was more than enough to keep him away but finding out the truth behind this woman and her hidden agenda, may be the most devastating loss he has ever encountered.

STORMCHASER is author Cherry Adair's new offering of her Cutter Cay books. The overall feel of the book is amazing ... if you like sea and sun, and in the midst of winter who doesn't want that feeling. I thought Jonah was an all around good guy, handsome, driven and a bit of an adrenaline junkie but a man with a good heart. Calista, I'm afraid I didn't really have a good feel for. I understood her motive was family oriented and can admire that but once she realized that Jonah was not cutthroat evil as she was led to believe then, I think, she should have confessed a few truths. Like, she was there to feed his enemy the coordinates and let him swoop in and steal the treasure and most importantly that she was widowed, not married. That aside, the romance that finally bloomed between them was very steamy and satisfying, he forgave her maybe a little easily but then again, he's a good guy. The excitement and atmosphere throughout the complete storyline was decidedly on the explosive side (figuratively and literally) and action packed. I did enjoy the conversations between the couple and others, as those are well written and never got technical. The world under the sea and scuba diving are things that amaze me and love reading about and watching others do. There is a bit of mystic in the search for Atlantis but as readers finish this book they will see that is a mystery that will remain for another day.

Ms. Adair is an amazing writer who knows how to throw action, romance and intrigue into a book and make her readers want more ... STORMCHASER is just that type of book.

Stormchaser by Cherry Adair has all the flair, excitement and drama of the other stories in the series. Yet, it started a bit slower. Give it a few extra pages. It is well worth the slow start.

This is book four in the Cutter Cay series and it features Jonah Cutter and Calista "Callie" West. Their chemistry was crazy HOT and only tempered by the intentionally misleading wedding ring on her finger. It's hard for me to express the enormous amount of mystery, suspense and action contained in this book. Treasure hunting, revenge, mysteries beyond our comprehension and of course love. WOW! What a ride! Cherry Adair is a master at storytelling! I was so engrossed in this story that you'd have to physically touch my shoulder to get my attention.

Brilliant story line with fabulous characters! I do wish we could've seen what happened with Rydell Case and the whole Atlantis and Ji Li situation. Oh, and Brody? What was up with him? I can't wait to read the next book in this awesome series.

Sexy, exciting and enticing are only some of the words that can best describe this novel. With a scorching chemistry and a story that leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat, you will be flying through the pages of this book!

Calista "Callie" West is a marine archeologist who is at the top of her game. She has made a respectable name for herself in her field of expertise and is highly sought after. She despises everything that men like Jonah Cutter stand for. Privilaged, rich, spoiled and hedonistic. She is only after one thing - to get revenge from Jonah and his family for her brother-in-law. So she accepts his offer to work with him on salvaging a sunken ship off Greece. What she didn't expect was to find a man completely opposite of her prejudices. A man that leaves her breathless and hot. A man that embodies all her fantasies in one very sexy package ;)

Jonah Cutter sees more than what the straight laced archeologist wants the world to see. She is not only one of the most intelligent women he has ever met, she is also sultry and magnatic. He wants to share his big discovery with her. The lost city of Atlantis. Even though it seems like a big stretch, every clue that they stumble upon seems to lead them step by step to the mythical city.

With the mediterranean sun surrounding them, the heat never seems to lessen between this steamy couple! An exciting and addicitve read. Can't wait to read more of this series!

3.5 Stars

This book makes me want to run away and become a treasure seeking marine archeologist. Seriously. The descriptions in this book made you almost able to smell the saltwater in the air. I loved everything about this book until the very end. The whole monk guardians was enough to make me roll my eyes. I have the three books before this one, but haven't read them yet but you can be sure I'll be fixing that very soon.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Sandy M’s review of Stormchaser (Cutter Cay, Book 4) by Cherry Adair
Contemporary Romance published by St. Martin’s Paperbacks 7 Mar 17

I’m not one to who doesn’t finish a book very often. So I was caught a bit off guard when the beginning of this new book in Ms. Adair’s Cutter Cay series wasn’t quite working for me; it’s much too slow going for the start of a book. However, I am very glad I decided to soldier on.

Callie is on a mission of revenge. She’s doing so on behalf of her family, who have suffered at the hands of the Cutter brothers. Jonah Cutter has hired her for his current salvage effort. Unfortunately for Callie, she’s not ready for Jonah the man. Handsome, sexy, rich, and on the hunt for one of the world’s most famous myths.

Though Jonah has found his next true ship salvage, what he’s discovered beneath that wreckage is what he believes to be the lost city of Atlantis. That’s why he needs Callie aboard. She’s well-known in the scientific world and has even gone so far as to say she doesn’t believe Atlantis exists. If he can prove to her it does, her turnaround on the subject would be just what is needed to catapult the Cutters into the stratosphere.

Once the story gets past the mutual attraction between Jonah and Callie, their thoughts being shut down because they’re on a mission or she’s there to help her family or neither should be having sexy imaginings about the other, the storyline goes on smoother swing. Though it was once again bogged down by crew meetings and the like. For me it took much too long to get to some action.

When the actual diving begins, I enjoyed the book much more. Ms. Adair does a great job in taking the reader through the process of such a dive, how to collect and preserve artifacts, how to work as a team while underwater and so much more, all without becoming overburdened and boring. I would have liked more to have happened between Jonah and Callie before their attraction sets in, but after their aforementioned thoughts are left behind and they act on that attraction, I enjoyed them a lot more too.

Things really become interesting when bizarre happenings begin to plague the crew, including life-and-death situations while diving. At first I was a little dismayed at the appearance of some strange characters inhabiting an island just off in the distance, but I have to say they become very intriguing later on. All of the scenes late in the story move fast with underwater earthquakes, erupting volcanoes, and those strange monk-like characters.

I have not read any other books in this series, so I’m quite happy to say that I never felt lost or out of touch with mention of characters who have been previously featured. I’m quite curious now to read about Jonah’s recently discovered brothers. A warning, though – the ending here is a bit abrupt and leaves a lot hanging in the wind. At least for me. I had questions when I flipped that last page and expected more. Hopefully those questions will be answered in the next book.

Grade: B

Mystical and intense are the words that come to my mind after reading this book. The author Cherry Adair's vivid imagination and attention to detail makes this a wonderful and exciting read.

Callie's character is intense and how she orders her life from her traumatic childhood is a great example for all people. She is a fully dimensional character though somewhat lacking in her personal life. For this reason the addition of Jonah's character is perfect. He is larger than life and continually pushes up against her boundaries not allowing her to stay in her safe zone which forces her to grow personally.

Not having read the other books to this series I do have some questions regarding Rydell's back history in regards to the Cutter boys. I look forward to reading books 1-3 of the Cutter Cay Series to fill in the holes though it isn't necessary for reading this book.

I really liked all the intricate details of the dives as I know I will never scuba dive but from her writing I felt like I was there experiencing all the unique events.

Mysticism is an area that can either draw you in or turn you off but in this book I was fully immersed in the possibility that the lost city of Atlantis actually existed. The author did a phenomenal job in developing this part of the book.

I give this 4 stars from making the mysticism believable and the relationship between Callie's loyalty to Jonah and Rydell realistic.

Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

Dr. Calista West comes to the Mediterranean near Greece to work with Jonah Cutter. He comes from a family of treasure hunters. Callie is there to help him recover artifacts from a Chinese junk, but when he tells Callie that he's found the lost city of Atlantis, she's stunned. She's here under false pretenses. Callie is really there to betray him to his enemy. What happens next is a suspenseful story filled with unexpected twists. Jonah and Callie are an amazing couple. They have common interests and amazing chemistry. The lost city enthralls and amazes Jonah and Callie. As they learn more about their discovery, strange things happen. In spite of herself, Callie finds herself falling for Jonah. What will happen when he learns the truth? I couldn't put down Stormchaser. The lost city is a thrilling setting. It was so amazing that I wanted to know more. I loved the touch of magic that is interwoven in this exciting adventure. I loved the characters. Callie is an intelligent and strong woman. Jonah is a dominant alpha who's met his match in this feisty woman. The secondary characters add more drama to this story. Cherry Adair has written a great romantic suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. I'm enjoying the Cutter Cay series. I can't wait for the next story.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read. My comments are my honest opinion.

Stormchaser is the story of a treasure hunter that finds his heart's desire when he least expects it. Jonah wants to be as good at finding treasure as his three brothers, but he didn't see Calista coming. She is the archaeologist he needs to try and disprove his find. She becomes so much more than that. There is some conflict and betrayal mixed into their story which I didn't like as much, but there is also some serious chemistry between the two. This is the first book by Cherry that I've read and I enjoyed Jonah and Calista's story.

I give Stormchaser 4 hearts!

Cherry Adair writes another superb supernatural book. She is always good for a story that is big in imagination. Im not as big on a revenge story- revenge shows poor character. This started off making that revenge clear, though of course that changed as the story went forward. Nice romance.

This is the 4th book in the Cutter Cay series. It starts out kind of slow but then picks up with a lot of things happening. You might even say it picks up with a blast! Jonah hires Dr. Calista West to help them salvage a Chinese shipwreck call the JiLi. But he really wants here there because she’s a marine archeologist who doesn’t believe the city of Atlantis ever existed other than in a book. He believes very differently on the subject. This book starts out with a woman who believes the Cutter family owes her “family” big time and she’s here only to make sure they pay. There’s adventure, excitement (think earthquakes and volcanoes), romance, jealousy, cat fights and way too much else going on to have room in this review to discuss it. Just read the book and you will understand what I’m talking about! It may start out slow but the pace quickly picks up! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
