I really enjoyed this book. I would recommend reading the other books in the series just so you know the backstory. But it's not completely necessary in order to read this book. This title can still be read as a standalone. Its about Jonah Cutter who is a half-brother to all the other Cutter brothers as you found out in the previous book. And Calista West who is a related to Ry Case-who was also mentioned in the last book. Be prepared as it starts off slowly, but once you get a little further in you won't be able to put it down! I really liked the chemistry between the two main characters along with the fact that Jonah fights any attraction until he finds out she is widow. I loved the fact that there was NO cheating!! The historical aspect was a great addition as was the slightly paranormal twist to it. My only drawback was it seemed to end rather abruptly. It didn't feel as though it was finished to me. They never really said what happened after the volcano erupted. There was no meeting with Ry or even just a showdown. It just seemed to end. I am really hoping that we find out in the next book! Can't wait to read it!

If you are a fan of the Indiana Jones type of adventure, then this book and this series is definitely one you don't want to miss! STORMCHASER is exciting and entertaining, and will definitely fire up your blood for some adventure.

The Cutter name is synonymous with treasure hunting and Jonah Cutter thinks he has found just the thing to make own name, separate from the rest of his family. For him to achieve this goal, he needs the expertise of just one person: Dr. Calista West.

Callie has her own reasons for accepting the offer from Jonah, but her close contact with him reveals a very different person from what she expected. A sizzling attraction to him, coupled with the potentially explosive and life-changing nature of their discovery means that her original goal falls to the wayside. But can she go through with her assignment after getting to know Jonah so well? Can she convince Jonah to trust her when the truth comes to light?

The time between the previous installment of this series and this book is pretty significant and I wish there had been some kind of write-up to bridge that gap and connect this book with the previous ones, but it stands alone very well on its own that it may not be an issue, except for dedicated followers of the series.

Callie and Jonah's attraction is instant but the secrets, lies and deceptions are so many that they form an effective barrier between them. Can you say drama overload? I had my reservations about their relationship, but the one part of the story that completely drew me in was the underwater discovery. The intrigue, the danger, the factually inexplicable occurrences were all very captivating and added to drama of a different kind.

The ending was a little rushed for me and Jonah's easy acceptance of Callie's lies felt a little far-fetched, but overall it was a really enjoyable read and I'm very excited about the next book.

Cherry Adair was actually one of the first authors that I started to read when I got into the bookworld so I'll always read anything she writes. My memory isn't the best when it comes to these books though, so reading Stormchaser felt like I was reading a brand new author since I haven't picked up one of her books in awhile. It's the fourth book in the Cutter Bay series but would be fine if you were to read it as a standalone.

This story follows Jonah as he gets into the treasure hunting business and partners up with Calista West, a marine archaeologist. It will take you on some spectacular twists and turns, and of course throws a romance into the mix that will keep you captivated. I really enjoyed getting to learn about these characters and I thought the treasure hunting world was a really intriguing one. Ms. Adair didn't skimp on the details of their hunt and I was appreciative of that. Those details really had my attention and I liked learning all about this undersea world.

My rating was bumped down to a 3.5 because of the ending. As much as I was really enjoying this story the end kind of lost it for me since it seemed so rushed. I wouldn't have minded too much if the rest of the book wasn't so slow, but as it was it just didn't match the pace of the rest of the book.

Overall I would definitely recommend this story for anyone that likes a tame romantic suspense. I can't wait for the next book and to see if this author can redeem a character for me.

Jonah Cutter is just getting to know his half-brothers and feels he has to prove himself. When he is scouting for a lost ship, he’s positive he’s found the ultimate treasure: Atlantis. He’s even secured the ultimate non-believer, Dr. Calista West, to verify it. He just didn’t expect everything that makes up Callie.
I’m not too much into contemporaries and I’ve only ever read a novella by this author before, so I really didn’t have much expectations on this book. However, I very much enjoyed it. Callie is independent, a loner and very much driven in her task.I loved watching her character change around as the story progressed. There really wasn’t anything not to love about Jonah. He was smart, sexy, and determined to come out on top. As for the plot, I really wasn’t sure what twists the author would stick in there, but I really loved how she ended it. After reading this book, I so want to go treasure-hunting!! I look forward to reading about the other Cutters and more from this author!.

FINAL DECISION: A story with lots of lies and deceit on the heroine's part, the connection between the characters really works. My complaint about the book is that her lies are forgiven way too soon.

THE STORY: Jonah Cutter is the illegitimate brother of the Cutter clan. He has a lot to prove to himself and to make himself feel that he belongs in the family. He believes he has found Atlantis and brings the skeptic Dr. Calista West aboard to prove it. Calista has agreed to come onto the project for only one reason -- she is working with the Cutter's enemy and intends to thwart Jonah's project. But that was before she met Jonah and begins to have her loyalties challenged.

OPINION: This book was a fun read as it twisted in ways that I did not expect when it began.

Calista is a woman who intends to help her only family with his revenge against his enemies, the Cutters. She will help him sweep in and steal Jonah's find. She is a widow, but pretends to be married in order to keep herself safe from any advances by Jonah. But she doesn't expect to find a man who she can admire and a project that might actually be the find of the century. Nor does she expect to begin to fall in love with the one man she should keep away from.

Jonah can't keep his eyes off Calista, but he has no intent of making any moves on a married woman. His own family history protects him from the moral hazard -- or so he believes. Even as he knows that Calista is off-limits, he cannot stop thinking about her.

I enjoyed this book which has a twisty and unexpected plot. What Jonah has discovered and the crew's attempts to uncover its secrets keeps moving the story forward. I liked the chemistry between these characters and I especially liked Jonah who was a nicer guy than I expected in the beginning.

And that leads to my complaint about the book. Calista lies to Jonah throughout the book but when her lies are uncovered, there are no real consequences for her. She is forgiven after only a short time and after no groveling on her part. Although a huge part of the plot of the book, there is no confrontation with the enemy and no serious consequences for Calista. I just think there needed to be more considering the magnitude of the deception.

WORTH MENTIONING: This book really made me want to read the next book in the series which will be about the Cutter family's enemy.

CONNECTED BOOKS: STORMCHASER is the fourth book in the Cutter Cay series. It not not necessary to read the other books first, however, because I haven't and I didn't feel that I missed anything.

STAR RATING: I give this book 3 stars.

NOTE: I received an ARC of this book via Netgalley in order to provide a review. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions contained herein are my own.

Callista and Jonah work to solve a nautical mystery and find the ultimate treasure hunt. Good suspense along with their romance. Enjoyed settling in to this book and good stand alone addition to the series.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Stormchaser by Cherry Adair is the long await book four in the Cutter Series. Since I have not read all the previous books, I can say this is a stand-alone book. I would like to know about the Cutter brothers and how Jonah came to be so new to the family as a half-brother. Dr. Calista West also has ties to others that I would like to know more about. So while I enjoyed the book, I think I would have understood some things more if I had read the previous books in the series.

More lust than love and more betrayal than suspense but still an intriguing romantic suspense book. Besides the obvious human secret agendas in the story there is surprising mythical magical elements as well. I found those to be the most interesting aspects of the story. The end of the book quickly ties up the loose ends but I wished to have known more. Perhaps the next book in the series will bring those unclear parts better clarity. It is a very short wait for the book, Hurricane to be released soon.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.

This is book 4 in the Cutter Cay series. Jonah has the chance of a lifetime to be a treasure hunter like his half-brothers. When he finds a sunken Chinese ship off not far from the Greek Isle, Jonah thinks this is his chance and he snaps it up and runs for the opportunity to show he is like his brothers. He thinks this sunken ship is his holy grail and his gold mine. He needs an archeologist worth their weight in their field and one who wont try to disprove this find just because they wont believe what has been found. This marine archeologist is none other than Calista. Thing is, she isn’t what she appears to be. She is an archeologist but she also wants to help her mentor out and in order to do so, she will gladly undercut Jonah by taking his research to help her mentor.
There are many twists and turns beset with Betrayal, Conflict, Angst Sexual Tension and Passion in this book. There are so many things at play –Jonah and Calista are a good couple- each have what they are after and then they realize there is more to life than that one dream. The mystery and suspense that are interwoven help boost the storyline. At times the story does become dull but it will pick back up. I didn’t like when the ending became rushed for I wanted to see the story naturally progress but overall, this was a good addition to the Cutter Cay series.

My rating: 4.4 stars ****

I enjoyed this romantic suspense by Cherry Adair. It took me a little while to get into the story but once the scene was set & the characters introduced, the action took off & didn't slow until the end. The plot has enough twists & turns to keep you fully involved until the end. Jonah is trying to prove himself to his brothers & Calista is trying to help out her brother-in-law. The characters were well developed & the chemistry was intense between Jonah & Calista. I do think that this could be read as a stand alone but you miss out on some of the actions between the Cutters & Rydell Case.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. That being said, I was so excited to see it come out. I have loved the previous book in the Cutter Cay series. This one was no exception. I love the writing style. The characters were very well developed. The suspense kept me going throughout the entire book. It’s a great read that I would recommend to anyone!

This is the long awaited 4th book in the Cutter Cay Romantic Suspense/Adventure series. I've always enjoyed Cherry's stories and was delighted when her publisher gave me a NetGalley ARC of this book.

The story is full of action, lustful attraction that tries to be denied, betrayal and mystery. As always Cherry has well researched her subject and I wished I could have had this in an epub version rather than the pdf provided by the publisher so I could easily look up the meaning of words I was unfamiliar with. The story is about the salvage of a sunken Chinese Junk off the coast of Greece by the Cutter brothers newly discovered half-brother, Jonah. He's determined to prove to the successful brothers that he's worthy to be a full member of the family salvage company. He's discovered a lost city under his wreck and he thinks it's Atlantis. He hires Dr. Calista (Callie) West as his marine archaeologist to authenticate the discovery. With all his in-depth research on his crew he missed that Dr. Calista is the Cutter's competitor/foe, Rydell Case's sister-in-law. She accepted the job so she could turn the discovery over to Rydell her only remaining beloved family. Jonah also doesn't know her husband, Adam Case, died 4 years ago and she's using her wedding ring as "protection" against romantic entanglements. Neither one reckoned on the burning instant sexual chemistry between them. And so the story spins with one adventure after another. There is mystery in who are these odd guys on the nearby Fire Island, why are there accidents happening, who are the odd brother-sister duo who owns a cosmetic company doing on Fire Island?

By the end of the action packed story Jonah and Callie discover their true treasure and we discover the answers to all these questions.

Thank you St. Martin for the NetGalley ARC for me to review.

Stormchaser is book #4 in Cherry Adair’s Cutter Cay series. Since this will be my first book in this series. I did feel lost coming in the middle of this series. But after reading this book, I feel that I must read the other titles in this series. To get a better understanding on the Cutter crew.
I can say I have read other books by Cherry Adair and she never lost her touch. She still captivated readers by the great plots. However, lost her way a bit on the character development. But, by the middle of the story, she finds her stride.
Stormchaser an action-packed adventure, and a lost city wanting to be explored.

I’ve been a Cherry Adair fan since Kiss and Tell seventeen years ago. She’s one of the OG romantic suspense authors who drew me into the genre and got me addicted to the breathtaking notion of falling in love while running for your life.

And warmer temperatures on the horizon mean Adair’s latest installment of the Cutter Cay series, Stormchaser, is hitting the shelves at the exact right time. Fans of Jacques Cousteau and his magical underwater world will love this story!

So many storylines are swirling around in this novel. Will they, or won’t they? Is this THE ancient city, or isn’t it? What is the mystical element surrounding the small Greek island? Can I finally let myself fall in love?

Stormchaser is full of adventure and excitement. It’s got just enough mystical elements to make you tilt your head and wonder at the possibility of an ancient secret, yet it’s planted firmly enough in reality that you can close your eyes and feel like you’re on a treasure hunting quest. I can’t wait for Hurricane next month!
