A rocker & ballerina love story...YES!!!
Jordan Steele as had anything but an easy life and due to that he's become a recluse but only being comfortable with his "brothers". I appreciated being able to read about his past and why he was the way he was. Little did he realize that his life was about to be turned upside down.
Aleksandra-Lexi, lives for the love of ballet yet no matter how hard she tries, she will never be good enough for her father's approval. She's done everything within her grasp to show him how much ballet means to her but no matter what it's never good enough.
The night her eyes land on Jordan she knows her life will never be the same. Hard as Jordan tries to ignore his want to get to know Lexi he just can't because the pull between them is strong.
My heart went out to these two battered souls hoping they will get their much deserved happiness. A beautiful emotional story that will have you rooting for Lexi & Jordan! -Kara, 4.5 Stars
WOW ... this is one of the best books I have ever read. I literally could not put it down. This is the 1st book that I have read by Scarlett Cole .... and it will definitely won't be my last! The characters just seem so real and they draw you in to their story.
Jordan is so broken that you just want to hug him. His parents locked him in an attic for most of his childhood. He was rescued at the age of 10 only to go to foster homes to be abused some more. He finally ended up at a group home where he could feel safe and ended meeting 4 boys that became his brothers. In the group home the boys were given instruments ... to try and keep them occupied and out of trouble. They ended up becoming a famous metal band, but all the fame and money couldn't banish the ghosts of their pasts.
Lexi is a ballerina who is being controlled by her overbearing Russian father, whose own dancing dreams were shattered when he had a fall. Even though he blamed Lexi for her mother's death, he lived in Lexi's house and lived off her, pretended that everything was his. Even though her father insisted she only perform classic ballets, she longed to branch out to something more contemporary once in awhile.
One night when Jordan was out walking, he came across Lexi dancing in a studio and watched her through a picture window. He wrote music for to to dance to and left it at the studio. The music spoke to Lexi and the next time she saw him watching her, she made him come in the warm studio to see her dance to his music. Their attraction to each other was undeniable, but with 2 people so broken there were lots of obstacles to overcome. Their journey will make you laugh and shed tears ... but it is a journey I highly recommend you take.

While you can totally read this without reading the Second Circle Tattoos series that this series spins off from, I will say that I regret not reading Dred's book before starting on this one (I've read 1 and 4, but not 3). Not that I won't likely still go back and enjoy that book, but you do get little mini spoilers in this book.
This was so much more...heartbreaking and involved and sweet and uplifting than I was expecting. I mean, yes and no. It's not that I don't know that Ms. Cole can write stories with harrowing backstory. But both Jordan and Lexie really got to me.
Since I hadn't read Dred's book, I didn't quite know what to expect from Jordan, but his backstory is just gut wrenching. And the ways he copes now, and how it has affected him...it just felt so real, and sucked me in and gave me all the feels. He was an extremely interesting character. Because he could be both sweet and innocent as well as dirty and even volatile. He was kind of a conundrum. Sometimes I wondered at the many aspects of him, but I can't decide if it his growth was too much too soon, or just right. Sometimes life gives you a trigger that your brain has been waiting for, that allows you to see more into yourself and finally get over your stumbling blocks. And occasionally I wanted a deeper look into how it is affecting him now, but maybe the bits we got at different times were just right. But anyways, regardless, I definitely wanted to hug the shit out of him.
And while Jordan's story is perhaps a bit more heartbreaking, Lexie has her own horrible issues to deal with. You feel it right from the start, and you just feel sick for her, and what she's living with, and how it has affected her. I was worried, at one point in the story, that her own struggles would be minimized, or not dealt with in the appropriate way and with sensitivity...but I should have trusted Ms. Cole. And in the end, the way that all went really made sense for her and Jordan. I kind of wished I'd been able to read more of how she was going to cope, but that's probably just me being greedy.
I did absolutely adore the look into the ballet world, even if hers was a bit skewed by her father. I've always admired the crap out of dancers, and my hubby and I have season tickets for our provincial ballet. I have the grace of a bulldog, so it's something I always envy...but I definitely don't envy the toll it takes and the hours of hard work they put into their craft.
And their chemistry together was pretty fantastic. It was a lot more blunt and straight talking than I was expecting at times, but it worked for them. I loved seeing Jordan struggle with how to have a relationship, and how he second guessed everything he did. Again, so sweet. And then he'd say something dirty, and it just balanced.
AND I LOVED THE BITS OF CANADIANNESS!! I mean, YES!! I've never lived in Toronto, but I did recognize street names, and stupid little things like the No Frills grocery store, the Canadian Tire bag, and shopping at The Bay, and Karen Kain, and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa (been there)! It's the little things that make this girl happy. *high fives Preload for being Canadian*
And finally, there was the secondary cast. While they weren't there all the time, the scenes where they were just showed me the connection between the guys, and how they lean on each other in small ways. And OMG, they brought such levity! "She's the phone!" Just so much love. Cannot WAIT to read more books of these boys. Though I am scared, b/c if Lennon is more f'd up than Jordan, I just don't know if I can handle his story.
Honestly, the only reason I'm rounding down instead of up is just a me thing...I'm still in that strange bubble where I'm not quite getting sucked into the books fully. Were I in a different mood, I can totally see myself rounding up. OHHH!! And there were some areas where the POV changed without a break. I'm not a fan. Especially since it was pretty consistent throughout the rest of the book, so it was what I had come to expect.
If you're a medium angst fan like me, who likes some heart wrenching, but not too much to be overwhelmed, then you need this series in your life.
Jordan Reclaimed by Scarlett Cole
Preload Novel #1
Success does not always deter demons.
Five men forged a brotherhood of the heart while living in a state sponsored group home. All have had rough times during childhood. All have issues to deal with. All depend on one another. All hope to one day have more – but not just more money – they have plenty of that. Dred, one of the members of this brotherhood, had his story told in THE PUREST HOOK (Second Circle Tattoos #3) and from that story this series was begun. I can hardly wait to see how each of these wonderful men will find their happiness in the future!
One winter night Jordan Steele sees Aleksandra “Lexi” Artemov dancing through a studio window. He is enchanted. When she sees him outside the window she is fascinated. How they eventually meet face to face is delightful. The openness and caring of both as they get to know one another is heartwarming. Their growing love is encouraging. The demons that ride them are huge and not easily shared – and when shared – not easily dealt with. Being there for one another is a cleansing and beautiful thing for both of them. Having Jordan’s “brothers” there for both of them is marvelous always and in all ways. Jordan and Lexi eventually find their HEA though they still may have some demons lurking about…and yet…with their family of the heart there for them…there is hope aplenty.
I loved this book. It was painful to read at times but so worth reading. Jordan and Lexi deserved happiness and a future together and I am thankful the author agreed with me ;) I was kind of curious how a tattooed rock star could find anything in common with a ballerina – but he did :)
Next up will be Elliott and I am eager to find out who will be able to tame his demons – can’t wait to read his story!
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC. This is my honest review.

Jordan Steele's never had the happy childhood to look back on like most, he instead find's memories of himself being taken from his parents home, or lack thereof, and being placed in the Canadian foster care system. Once in the system he bounced from place to place until he arrived on the doorstep of a woman who would not only change the course of his young life, but also give him the sense of family he never knew. Living with Ellen and the other boys in the home turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to him, his brothers, as he calls them now, have formed a band and have the opportunity to travel all over the world doing what they love, and making a lot of money to boot. Which is a far cry from how they all pictured their lives turning out when they were young, and they've never forgotten the tough, but sweet, woman who changed their lives, often visiting her and helping her out. But with all the success, and good fortune to come to his life, Jordan still can't help but feel alone, like there is a part of himself missing, but that is all about to change...
Every facet of Lexi's life has been under complete control from birth, the right dance classes, the right dance teachers, the right food, but never being the "right" thing for her. Her father had plans for her, and she has been prepped and groomed for the future he chose for her, none of it of course being the future she actually wanted for herself. She is tired of worrying about her appearance, living up to her father's expectations, and trying to please him, only to fail every time. She wants the freedom to do what she wants when she wants, but as long as her father is in control that will never happen. She knows it is time to be brave and take the course of her life into her own hands, and the moment she meets Jordan she finally feels like she is strong enough to make that happen...
Being familiar with Ms. Cole's work I thought I knew what to expect going into this read, but I have to say she surprised me with this one, in the best possible way, this is by far her best work yet! The instant my eyes landed onto the page, the words gripped me, had me completely at their mercy, and I knew there was no way I was walking away until I had devoured every last one. I knew a little of Jordan's history from previously reading the Second Circle Tattoo series, but I don't think anything could have prepared me for the breathtakingly beautiful story I found, it took me on an emotional roller coaster, and left an imprint on my heart! I loved these two characters so much, they were two damaged souls in need of saving, and little by little they found a way to mend what was broken in each other and also create something so beautiful in the process. All I can say is that you HAVE to read this story, it is truly one of the best reads I have settled down with yet this year, it is destined to move you beyond words!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this title.
Can you find your own place in the world. Jordan feels like his life is falling apart, his fellow band member is moving in with his future wife and daughter and Jordan is afraid that the others will leave as well. It has taken Jordan a really long time to feel safe, he never wants to go back to his early abusive years and that fear that wanted to take his life.
Jordan knows that he has to accept that change is coming but if he hides his true feelings maybe the guys would just let him be.
Lexi is tired, her father has punished and pushed her enough, all she wants to do is dance for herself, why can't he allow her to be happy? Lexi & Jordan are about to have a chance meeting that will change their futures forever.
The more time they spend together, the more Jordan tells her about his childhood and why he has issues about abandonment, he tries to be honest with Lexi but she is hiding something that could drive them apart.
Lexi has always been told by her father that she was too fat and she started believing that and she is almost eating nothing and she knows that Jordan is worried but all dancers are thin and she just wants to be the best that she can be. Will Jordan be able to help her through this or will it just be too much for their new relationship?
A great story of new beginnings, acceptance and family no matter if you aren't related by blood.
After reading Dred and Pixie's story, I was curious about the other brothers stories. I wondered about Jordan's past and why they needed to live that way. I now know after reading this book. A book about a rock star and a ballet dancer. Both have their issues they need to work through, which the other helps do so, and they eventually find their HEA. The sex scenes were hot. They stumble a few times over bumps in the road, but they figure it out. This was a darker read for me than the last story, but still a compelling read. I had difficulty putting it down.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this story.
Wow, Scarlett Cole has done it again! She takes broken heroes and heroines and together, they find a way to mend their pieces! Jordan and Alex both have experienced trauma and pain in their past and they come together in such a beautiful way.
AMAZING!! I’m not sure where to begin with this so I don’t lose you which in turn would make it so that you missed one totally awesome book. I have read the Second Circle Tattoo series by Ms. Cole where she first introduced us to the guys from the rock band Preload. I knew that after being so taken in by this author and since I was a rock romance fan, the stories on the Preload boys were going to be great but I had no idea the depths that Ms. Cole would take me to yet again. It seems that as most rockers those that have flaws are some of the better rock stars out there and now with Jordan’s story front and center that couldn’t prove to be truer.
The backstory on Jordan is to say the least heartbreaking with the childhood he had to endure only to lead him to the group home where he met the rest of his “brothers”. Ms. Cole had my heart breaking and at the same time filled me with so much anger because it was just unfathomable to me that any child could be treated this way. I don’t think I have come to love a band as much as these guys because of what they have all went through and because of that they are always there for each other no matter how “weird” things may seem to the outsider. Due to Jordan’s issues the band all lived together in one house and everyone knew what Jordan needed from each and every one of them. Sure Jordan had the meaningless sex with groupies but when it came to a real relationship that was something he was sure he would never be worthy of.
Seeing the beautiful and talented ballet dancer one night in a window practicing drew him in to her beauty and the depth that she performed with. Jordan couldn’t help be come back to watch this beauty and he did not go undetected because Lexi also noted that man outside the studio as well. Jordan had even returned to the studio to record some classical music that he thought of when watching Lexi practice so when she noticed him there yet again she performed his musical dance for him only to steel his breath away at how she truly understood Jordan and the music within him.
Their story is one of struggles and triumphs from both of their childhoods until their adulthoods but would they be able to come together and believe that they were really deserving of a love they never thought they deserved. Will Jordan actually be that phoenix rising from the ashes? They definitely had chemistry but it was something much deeper that Ms. Cole gave you. She wasn’t afraid to touch on taboo subjects such as child abuse, suicide and anorexia and did it with grace and understanding. This is one book that I would highly recommend as well as her other books from Second Circle Tattoo series one of which introduces you to another of the Preload guys, Dredd. I think you will fall for them as hard as I have and I can’t wait for the next story on the guys from Preload.
I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given honest review.
A new series from Scarlett Cole? YES PLEASE!! As a spin-off of her Second Circle series, we met these characters in The Purest Hook and I'm so excited to get their stories as well as catch up on the lives of Dred, Pixie & Petal. All these characters are so deep and complex I can't wait to get to know each of them. First up is Jordan. He's troubled and dark and so very loveable. When he meets Aleksandra Artemov he knows she touches something deep inside of him. The emotional journey these two go on is beautiful and unforgettable.
This one needs to be on the must read list! I highly recommend it.
A new novel by Scarlett Cole follows the members of a Canadian rock band introduced to her readers in The Second Circle Tattoo series. The band is called Preload, and the members are brothers in all ways except blood. They were all "misfit" boys considered difficult and sent to a group home that ended up saving their lives.
Jordan Steele is one of those boys, perhaps one of the most damaged by his childhood. He is frightened of being alone, and can't even sleep at night unless everyone is home and in bed. They have lived in the same home together since leaving foster care. For Jordan things are starting to change, Dred has a child and found the love of his life, Pixie, and starting a new chapter with them. Petal is Dred's daughter and Jordan loves her with his whole heart. On a late night walk on Christmas night with a fussy Petal, he sees a a dancer in the window of a practice facility. "She is strong and powerful yet fragile." He can't turn away, and the dancer seems to be dancing for him.
Aleksandra (Lexi) Artemov is a dancer for the Canadian Ballet. Her father, also a distinguished dancer, rules her world with an iron first, she is never thin enough, graceful enough or talented enough. After seeing this big beautiful man with tattoo's and crazy hair staring at her through the glass Lexi can't get him out of her mind. When she receives a note from this mystery man, with a link to music he has written for her she is under his spell, and is determined to dance for him. They come from opposite worlds, Jordan can never forget his background nor conceive how he could be worthy of her. Lexi does her best to prove he is all she wants. The love story is beautiful, sexy and filled with complications and Ms. Cole draws us into the story and pulls at our hearts.
This was an excellent read, and preparing this review, I actually read the whole book a second time. I highly recommend this novel and all of Ms. Coles work.
I received this ARC from the publishers and Netgalley for an honest review.

Who would have thought that a principal ballet dancer and a heavy metal rock-star would find true love. In Scarlett Cole's latest offering, Jordan Reclaimed, opposites attract and complete each other in more ways than one. This is the first book in the author's brand new series Preload, and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.
Lex Artemov loves ballet and after years and years of practice, with additional tortuous rehearsal sessions with her tyrannical father, she is a principal dancer with the Canadian Ballet. Lex supports both herself and her father, since her father drinks a lot and is unable to keep a job. She lives in the basement apartment of their home, while her dad commands the rest. She needs to get out of his daily life, without getting hurt and hurting him in the process.
Jordan Steele's childhood was no picnic. His parents starved him, made him live in the attic, and beat him when he said something they did not agree with. He was a prisoner in his own home. Foster care was just as bad, until he ended up in a group home run by two wonderful women. He was finally in a safe place and had three brothers. The boys formed a heavy metal band and became very successful. Unfortunately, Jordan's past is always a part of his present.
Lex and Jordan are an unlikely pair, but they get along beautifully. Their sexy times are hot and the author creates their intimate moments with lots of caring and lust. Lex is a warm woman that takes the world on her shoulders. With Lex in his life, Jordan realizes how lonely he has been and his outlook changes for the better. They are each other's soulmates.
4.5 Stars!
This is both an emotional and passionate love story. Ms. Cole perfectly combines heat, drama, and brotherly love into this fast-paced romantic read. I immediately connected with both Lex and Jordan, and I cheered them on as they discovered their feelings for one another. I loved how the characters had their own agenda, yet always found time to be with each other. The love between the brothers was tangible. Overall, this is a terrific book with a happy ending that will leave a smile on your face.

Once again, Scarlett Cole has written a winner. I’ve enjoyed watching this author grow from one-to-watch to truly fabulous. Her earlier books kept me eager to see what Scarlett might would write next, but Jordan Reclaimed wowed me.
Jordan is strong, sexy, and sweet. And wounded. My heart ached for what he’d lived through. And Lexi is strong and caring, but hides her own scars. They meet and together, find a way to overcome what happened to them in their past, so they can find a future together. Very empowering.
If you’re looking for a book that will keep you up until early am so you can be with these characters when they find their HEA, this is the book for you.
Thank you SMP, NetGalley, and Scarlett Cole, for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Oh Jordan, you beautiful broken man how I love you! This book was everything I thought it would be, Scarlett Cole never fails to amaze me! The story of Jordan and Lexi isn't an easy one but it is also not quite as hard as I imagined given Jordans background and I actually enjoyed that. I loved that Jordan didn't resist Lexi for long once he met her. Witnessing him falling hard and wanting to change for her was beautiful. Lexi was perfect for him, she was strong, kind, patient and a beautiful soul, just what he needed. This book was angsty, sexy and a gorgeous love story. Scarlett Cole weaves words in a magical way that make you connect with the characters as if you are there with them. I can't wait for more from this series!! 5 Amazing stars!!!
Jordan is a character that I was immensely curious about when we got out first glimpse of him in The Purest Hook and I've been waiting for his story ever since then. In his own book we get to learn all about what Jordan has gone through and how it has impacted the life he now leads with his band mates. And how one ballerina is about to change his life in a drastic way.
This book had all of my emotions coming out in such an intense way. I just couldn't get enough of these beautifully damaged characters and reading what they both had to go through had my heart breaking. Jordan and Lexi were very well suited for each other and I loved how their broken pieces fit together and made the perfect couple. Where Jordan was dark in his pain, Lexi was bright and open, and showed Jordan that you didn't have to live only in your pain.
What was so amazing about Jordan was how he was when he was around Lexi, and how you strived to be a better man for her. He was almost like a completely different man with her and I loved that when she was around he wasn't so quiet. With her he didn't have to hide his feelings or feel like he was a broken man since she accepted him for him, and no other reason.
Lexi didn't have an easy life either and it made her strive for perfection even when she knew it wasn't achievable. Jordan showed her that the world wasn't perfect and sometimes you just have to be okay with your faults. Her character had a lot of strength and I admired that about her, and it made me like her even more.
Overall, this is a must read story. Jordan and Lexi are characters that will have you sobbing along with them while also rooting on their love. I seriously can't get over how much they were perfect for each other and I know everyone else will feel the same way.
My Review:
My first response:
I loved this book from start to finish! I read it in one sitting and will now have to impatiently wait for the next book! In the meantime, perhaps I'll read Ms. Cole's other series. Check out my blog http://www.bluecatreview.us/ for a full review very soon on this book, which is due for release late February.
This book grabbed me from the time I opened the front cover until I closed it at the end. The trauma each of the characters had been through and were still trying to deal with was beyond anything I could imagine dealing with. Ms. Cole made you feel Jordan's panic and despair. You felt Lexi's anger and frustration. And you felt their love and wonder.
The characters are so well written, you want to help them as if they are real. I found myself talking to them at times, and definitely crying with them. The young men in the band, who had been the boys in the group home, were so awesome, too. Not perfect, these are damaged people, too. But written so well to fit into their roles in Jordan's life. Some you want to hug and some you want to slap. And that's life.
This book is going on my favorites list for sure. And I strongly recommend this book to any romance reader who likes to see those caught in the dark find the light. Due to be released on February 28, 2017, in ebook format only, so far.
I give the cover art a 3-star rating. It just doesn't speak to me like the book does. It's a nice cover. But this is a passionate novel and this art just doesn't stand up to what's between the covers
I was provided an eARC of this by Swerve and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I am not being compensated in any way. All opinions are fully my own.

Since discovering The Strongest Steel by Scarlett Cole, I've been hooked on her stories. And this one is no different. Jordan has so many scars and he really had to work to find his way to Lexi. The metal rock star and the professional ballerina - perfect match.
Can't wait for the next Preload story!
After finishing The Strongest Steel I instantly knew that Scarlett Cole is going to be a future one-click author for me. Her writing is nothing short of phenomenal. Her love for details and vivid description makes you feel like you are not only reading her stories but that you are a part of them. This is why it's so easy to love her characters and symphatize with them.
The first time I've met the boys from the metal band Preload was in The Purest Hook. I was intrigued with them from the start and badly wanted to read their stories.
Jordan Reclaimed is the book about Preload's bass guitarist and songwriter Jordan Steel and Aleksandra "Lexi" Artemov, a principal dancer at the National Ballet of Canada.
The first time they meet is on a cold Christmas day when Jordan is taking a walk and sees Lexi dancing through the windows of the Ballet. Watching her perform fascinates him and reminds him that the world is not such a dark place. Mesmerized by her beauty and grace he starts recording songs for her. When Lexi invites him to watch her dance to his music, they discover an undeniable connection between them. It's like Aleksandra can see the man behind the music and feel his pain. This feeling equally excites and frightens Jordan who has some issues since childhood. At the age of ten he was taken from his horrible parents and put into a group home where he learned what real friendship and family looks like.
Aleksandra Artemov was born to dance. Her father is a legendary Kirov member who is pushing his daughter hard and constantly interfering into her life. Lexi is suffering under the preasure and desperately craves freedom. Even though Jordan is nothing like the guys she used to date before, his looks and issues don't terrify her. On the contrary! The more she gets to know him, the more she is falling for the man who believes that he doesn't deserve her. Can Lexi show Jordan that he is more than enough?
I loved these two with all my heart. It was wonderful to watch how Jordan was slowly coming out of his shell with the help and love of Lexi. She was bringing light into his darkness, while he showed her how freedom feels like. It was beautiful how they both complemented and supported each other.
I'm in awe of Scarlett Cole's talent! The way she portrayed the life of a dancer was spot on. I was suffering with Lexi and cheering for her. She really didn't have it easy. But so didn't Jordan. I loved how his band brothers encouraged his relationship with Lexi and gave him advice in moments of doubt.
This book was the perfect escape for me and I highly recommend it! If you are looking for a great read that will make you feel everything and leave you with a smile on your face - this book is for you.
Jordan Reclaimed is the first book in the Preload series by the amazingly talented Scarlett Cole and is a spin-off of her well known Second Circle Tattoos series. In The Purest Hook we have been introduced to Dred and his bandmates. I've always hoped that the author is going to write a story for each of the remaining four guys. My wish has been fullfilled and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Jordan's book.
Once again Scarlett Cole's beautiful and poignant writing has seduced my mind and filled my heart with a wide range of emotions. This book is best savoured slowly. The intriguing and well-paced plot kept me on my toes and the interesting and multi-layered characters made me fall madly and deeply in love with them.
The story starts at Christmas time in Toronto. The band members have moved back permanently to the city they grew up. Dred and Pixie's wish to move out and create their own home is making Jordan anxious. He is used to have his family around him and is in constant fear that something may happen to them. During a walk on a cold winter night he stops to watch a ballerina dancing through a huge window of a rehearsal studio. Jordan is mesmerized by the graceful moves of the beautiful young woman and can't take his eyes off her. Inspired by her heartfelt performance he reaches out to her by sending her music he has created solely for her. Aleksandra Artemov is a principal dancer at the National Ballet of Canada. She grew up with a strict and controlling father, a former Kirov member. He has always tried to guide her career in a direction she didn't want for herself. Their relationship is very tense. Lexi knows that he would never approve of a relationship with Jordan but she doesn't care. For the first time she intends to break free and be bold and daring, taking what she wants and needs - and that's Preload's tattooed and gorgeous bass guitarist Jordan Steele. Can she convince him that he is worthy of her love and that they could be great together? Will Jordan let Lexi claim his heart or will he run away from the best thing that's ever happend to him?
This book had so many highlights for me. Among them are Jordan watching Lexi dance through the window of the National Ballet of Canada, their first date, when they finally made love to each other and when Maisey explained to Jordan why she has chosen this name for him. Those moments gave me goosebumps and made my eyes moist with tears. I love it when an author's words have such a stong power to move me to my marrow.
The hero and heroine of this story were the perfect match for each other. The silent and brooding musician found his soulmate in the intuitive and kind-hearted ballerina. They helped each other heal and fight their demons. Music has always been Jordan's saving grace while dancing was Lexi's reason for living. In each other they found everything they've ever longed for - friendship, family and a home.
I recommend this touching and inspiring story from the bottom of my heart and can't wait to read more about the Preload guys. I'm sure that Scarlett Cole is going to deliver more stories to swoon about.
Jordan is a member of a band started by him and his best friends, cultivated during their time in foster care. Jordan has attempted all of his life to deal with his horrific upbringing until he was moved to his last foster care home when he was 10. He has major issues, as do all of his band mates. He is walking one evening when he sees an angel dancing in a studio. He is fascinated by Alex and she is with him. They start a relationship that is fraught with obstacles because Alex has also been abused her whole life by her father. This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride that you never want to end. Scarlett Cole outdoes herself with this one!
