I really enjoyed this third book in the Prince Warriors series! You can read this book independently of the other books, but you will enjoy it more if you read the other books first to get to know the characters and settings in the story.
Poneros the evil leader of the evil side of Ahoratos has a human body made for him to disguise himself as a teenager to trick the Prince Warriors out of their books and hold them in prison as his captives!
The Prince Warriors will need new weapons to fight Poneros known as Victor, and they are given the task by of climbing up a mountain and receiving their swords by their leader Ruwach. They have to fight a dragon shooting spikes at them and reach the top before nightfall in order to get their swords.
They receive their swords, which are powerful weapons to combat evil that turn into small knives when they are not being used.one of the Warriors, Finn, receives a special gift of seeing what other people can't, which will be very helpful when they are in trouble.
Victor, the evil Poneros in disguise, tries to turn the other kids away from believing in their books' teachings and he captures one of the Warriors and puts her in prison.

You will enjoy fighting aliens and dragons with the Prince Warriors!
Will the Prince Warriors win against Victor and his schemes to destroy them?
This is a great book for young people to learn about how God can help them in any situation, how to recognize evil, and how they can be strong and not give into bad influences and people!

A most excellent read!! Vivid adventure... Truth... Encouraging… You have all that you need... It's all over this series and this book being the last of the three book series, brings it all together. In this third book they complete their armor. Just like the other two books, this one had us laughing out loud. One place was "Xavier calls it his "manly musk". To Evan it smelled of fish butt.".... Seriously, too funny on the fish butt! Another place in the book she mentioned The Karate Kid movies, which were pretty funny. Overall, this book tugged at our hearts. It was amazing seeing them work together as the body, fighting... What a picture! The imaginary painted in this story is breathtaking, awe-inspiring and overwhelming in the most perfect sense. I really pray this author writes more and more because when we finished reading my daughter asked to start it all over again!!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Every good epic trilogy should come to a climactic ending. That's exactly what you can expect from The Prince Warriors and the Swords of Rhema. Our warriors have fought battles and learned to wear their armor but now they are looking forward to the ultimate weapon . . . their swords.

On the surface this has been a spectacular story that fans of Tolkien will enjoy. But just like the Lord of the Rings trilogy there is a major storyline going on underneath the surface. The whole trilogy centers on learning to put on the armor of God and fight the battles through Him. The forces that come against the young warriors are from the unseen realm and they are big and fight nasty . . . but God is bigger and through Him the warriors can prevail.

If you have a tween you should get them this series. I think it appeals to girls and boys even though the main characters are boys. We've been reading it together as a family and even the adults are enamored with it. I would say that you need to read all three books in order. The adventure builds on itself and so if you read the books out of order you'll have major spoilers.

I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

Already a fan of Priscilla Shirer I was anticipating a great read from her and Gina Detwiler and I was not disappointed. Based on Ephesians 6:10-18, this book has a hunger games feel but is a little less dystopian. Each of the characters - Prince Xavier Blake, Prince Levi Arthur, Prince Evan Blake, Princess Brianna Turner, Prince Manuel Santo, Mr J. Ar,, Ruwach and The Source are unique and have strengths that support each other through the journey. Each of the characters play an important role and I appreciate that the warriors include a female. The tween and teen reader will be able to relate to the characters because they are just like your everyday teen and tween, for example. Princess Brianna is chatty and likes to craft, where Prince Xavier likes sports, video games and grows more and more confident throughout the book.

I love the name The Source in reference to Jesus, the warriors knowing he is there but never being able to see him. For the non christian reader this is a good way of introducing children to Jesus. I hope we see some more books in this dystopian style from Priscilla and Gina because so much of this style on the market is not christian based

Occasionally, I found some parts hard to get through. They seemed like they lingered on for longer than they needed to. However the read overall story was interesting and engaging.

Priscilla Shirer and Gina Detwiler co-authored this fiction series for children ages 8-12 years old. Xavier and Evan are brothers and used to fighting each other. Now they discover the real battle is in the spiritual realm, and they have been called to fight it using the armor of God.

In The Prince Warriors and the Sword of Rhema, the Prince Warriors finally receive their long-awaited swords, promised to them when they first began their training in Ahoratos. Now they must face the enemy for the final battle to stop him. Will their swords give them victory? Will they recognize the traitor in their midst?
Gina Detwiler and Priscilla Shirer, author of several best-selling adult non-fiction books, do an excellent job of capturing the voice of the children in this new series. They tackle the non-fiction topic of spiritual warfare through the use of fantasy fiction to reach their target audience.

More character development than plot development, the series is an easy read for young readers, filled with adventure, choices, consequences of wrong choices, danger, and wisdom gained from experience. Both boys and girls alike will enjoy this series. Loosely based on Ephesians 6:10-18, the series highlights the armor of God and its application in spiritual warfare.
