I was a bit in the dark about the backstory, because I didn't do my research and work out this was the second book in a series. This mean I was a bit confused about the whole idea of a 'anchor' but some way through the book it was explained and if click into place for me.

I love our main character's independence and her strong will. I originally thought this was going to be purely a romance book. However, this was a much more complex story line, although I enjoyed reading the whole tri-mate bond and the way the three of them bond together. This story is so much more than that and I was happy that, that was the case both with jealous sister-in-laws poking their noses in where they aren't welcome. As well as the more life threatening and political manoeuvres, that the three main characters get stuck in the middle of .
