Wow. I'm honestly not sure what to think about this book. It was scorching, don't get me wrong, and the premise was interesting, but it felt like we spent just as much time with her "captured" as we did outside of that and I think some more balance in the second part would have done a lot to push the story forward. It got a bit confusing and I think we could have used some clarity. I also would highly highly highly recommend CW/TW for this book.

Scorching hot, super fun ménage fantasy. Yes!! I wish it was longer! That twist! I didn't see that coming! It won me over and I loved it.

Sexy...Like very sexy and HOT HOT HOT story. Starts off a little rough, but don't give up on this story. If your in for a wild read..this one is for you!!

This starts as one book, and quickly turns into something else... but with some style.

While some of the story is very off putting, and people should check the trigger warnings, things are not as messed up as they seem. The beginning of this book is all about allusion. When that's revealed, it turns into this other story. Twice As Hard is a little sad, a little frustrating, a whole lot hot, and some good fun.

I loved this book!! I have read one other book from this author and I loved it as well. She is a fantastic writer and I love all the twists.

Book was interesting, but not as good as some of Ms Barden's other books. Though she is an amazing writer and I most certainly give her 5 stars in the writing department!

It is really hard to give this book a numerical rating. It was a really strange trip. It's also hard to write a review without spoiling anything because....I don't even know how to say it without spoiling the big thing in this book. I'm going to do my best to pick around the edges but I'm warning you that it's difficult to give you a full view of what this book is about without giving away some pretty significant twists.

What I can tell you is that the premise of this book is that a married woman goes on a solo expedition. She is ordered to do so by her husband who sends her daily instructions on what to do. She meets two men in the woods and is immediately terrified of them and is also attracted to them. Both of them. Even though her husband is back at home and she loves him so much... The two men are clearly threatening but still let Gabby escape with a warning not to come back to their woods. When Gabby's dog runs off to the woods she has no choice but to venture back into the woods. Gabby immediately run into her two assailants who "force" her into rough sex. It turns out that Gabby has always had a fantasy of things happening the way they do with her captors. They control her completely even going as far as to feed and bathe her and she enjoys all of it.The two men plan to keep Gabby for their own which seems kinda far fetched. And then the book takes a shift and it's impossible to describe what happens next without spoilers.

If you like very erotic stories with BDSM and control elements, this is a good book for you. Of course you need to also be in to 3 ways and ok with questionable extra marital activities. This isn't very long, I estimate it's about 150 pages and it really isn't a romance novel or novella. This is more like a longer version of a story you might find on literotica dot com. The writing is pretty good and I think maybe if the book was longer and included more contextual information I might have liked it more. As it is, I just got a really weird vibe from the first half of this story and spent the whole second half going wtf, wtf, wtf. If you are in to the super freaky stuff you might want to give this a try but pass this one up if you enjoy the storytelling aspect more.

If you want Three-way smutty sex this is for you. It starts a tad rough, but it smooths out in the end. I have to say it was very interesting plot twist. I usually predict but heck it through me for a loop.

This is a fast paced steamy read. This was a good read for me, I liked the characters as well as the story. The chemistry between Gabby, Luke and Clark is hot.

It was an enjoyable short story. I would possibly read it again.

I was confused at the beginning . I didn't get it was fantasy. I wished there was a little more to it. What made them the way they were?

This was a really weird book for me. I think buried in the story was something worth reading, but I had a lot of issues with the execution.

I'm going to try to not reveal any spoilers, but that's especially hard with a story like this one. All I knew going into it was that it was going to be a M/F/M story, and that's basically it.

A few things you should know. For one, I wouldn't even classify this story as a romance. It is really erotica with some scant romance traces. It is much, MUCH more about the sex than the relationships. Also, it is KINKY. Twice as Hard is squarely in the BDSM genre.

The book is really split into two sections. The first section was really hard for me to read. I won't reveal exactly why, but it stressed me out a LOT, even though I knew in my heart that things couldn't be exactly how they appeared. Still, I hate when we are in a character's head and they tell "us" false information. It seems like the characters aren't being honest with the reader, and that bugs me.

The second half of the book was also problematic. It was angstier than I was anticipating, and the poly relationship seemed forced and based just on kink and less on romance. I also don't like it when there is a ménage situation and two of the people in the threesome aren't romantically or physically involved. In this case, neither guy was attracted to one another and they were both just into the female. I only like ménages when all three are into the entire relationship, so that was a bummer.

Some of the sex scenes were hot near the end (I had to skim the ones in the beginning because they stressed me out), but the book felt disjointed because it was split into two totally distinct sections. I just wanted more out of the whole story.

Twice as Hard by Amber Bardan is billed as a dark, taboo romance. In reality, there's a significant plot twist halfway through that changes the course of the book. There's also quite a bit of angst thrown in for good measure. While portions of the story are super hot, the twist threw off the story for me and caused me not to enjoy it as much as I had hoped I would.

Gabby lives in a remote location with her dog and hints at the fact that her husband hasn't been home for a while, though it isn't yet explained why. One day, Gabby decides to go skinny dipping in the forest when she accidentally runs into two mysterious brothers, Luke and Clarke. They tell her not to trespass on their property again or there'll be consequences. Despite their threat, Gabby feels an attraction to them--but she goes on her way, warning noted.

Days later, Gabby's dog takes off and Gabby chases her onto the men's property. This time, they don't let her go with a mere warning.

Here's where the big plot twist happens, which I don't want to spoil. However, I'll just say that I didn't expect the angsty corners that the story peers into and I definitely got more than I bargained for with this book. There's a significant amount of drama in the second half of the story, so if you're not looking for that, you might want to pass on this one.

Having said all that, there are some hot menage moments, if you're willing to wade through the twists and turns to get there. For me, the book turned out to be very different from what I was expecting and it was just an okay read for me.

This book was pretty well-written and hott. However I felt like the book should have ended much sooner. There was no reason for it to drag out with Gabby thinking she'd ruined her relationship. I loved the twist. I did not see all of that coming and was pleasantly surprised. More back story on Gabby would have been useful but this book was more about the steamy scenes than anything else.

This book was very good. It started off a little confusing but was just naughty enough to keep me going. I did like how they all got their happy ending.

Whew! This entire book was nothing but steamy, sexual bliss. Absolutely not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

I'm not gonna lie, at first I wondered if I could get into this book. It felt a little forceful in the beginning. But somewhere near the moment I decided to put it down and give up on it, a huge plot twist was revealed and I couldn't stop reading all the way to the end.

It's chocked full of forbidden desires, abnormal romance, and steam. When I read the very last page, I was glad I didn't give up on it, because it turned out to be one of the best steamy reads I've read yet.

Batta Bing, Batta Bang! And just like that, we're pulled in to a fantasy that becomes extremely real.

When I first started this, I kept thinking about how this was an awesome thriller, turning into an even cooler fantasy. But then....WHAT??? The script flips and I'm backtracking trying to figure out what just happened. And then the "ah ha" moment happens and I was like, "wowza". Don't worry, you'll totally understand what I'm talking about when you read this. LOL.

I'm not even going to go into the characters and who they are or what they are going through. That's something that you'll need to figure out on your own while reading it, just like the rest of us. I will say this though. I wish it was just a little bit longer. Maybe flashing back to both Dean AND Abel situations. I felt like we only got to experience the Dean flashback of when they first bet.

This is a pretty short read. I think I finished it in less than 3 hours (damn kids). Plenty of hot and heavy scenes that will leave you panting. And I'm glad everyone got their HEA.

You know that what the fuck did I just read feeling you get after you've finished a story?. Yup I gotta whole lotta that going on right now.

This review will be extremely vague for the simple reason is that I don't want to ruin it for anyone.

This has honestly blown my mind. What you get in the blurb is not a hint in the right direction of what this book is about.
The story is absolutely filth in all the best ways. I was reading certain parts thinking surly this should not be a turn on at the same time as thinking ... maybe I need a mop to wipe up the wet puddle I was slowly becoming. Phewww! Seriously this authors sex scenes are crazy hot and stinking dirty. I was very much enjoying what seemed to be smut city with a boat load of nasty then.... BHAM!!! I got the shit shocked outa me with how the story turned. Talk about keeping us on our toes.

I have to give it to the author for writting such a brilliant story. Not all is as it seems in the beginning and gosh was she smart in how all is revealed. I honestly did. Not. Expect. It. From that point I was went through a storm of emotions. At first it was heartbreaking to realise the situation for what it is. Then I built hope in my Pervy mind wishing for all kinds of naughty nastiness, and lastly I was back into sex city with all kinds of dirty nasty hot things happening.

It's a great read and is pretty seemless from start to finish. The plot is very well written with some absolute corker's of surprises. And the cute ass epilogue has you sighing in happiness while glaring in envy as how lucky she is(;.

My only complaint is I would have liked to hear more about them all after the big surprise comes out. I felt I needed move of them together and the epilogue while absolutely adorable and sexy was satisfying it just wasn't enough for my greedy ass.
