Epic Romance!

When I say epic, I mean this love didn't happen at first sight, or overnight, this baby took some time. Alessandra Torre gives her readers two meant to be characters, with a long road to hoe in front of them before seeing if they can even make things work. It was a fantastic struggle of love and power from beginning to end.

While I didn't hate or love Trey right off the bat, I knew there was something more to him. I really wanted him to grow up and settle down. Whether it was with Kate or not, he was starting to look old and desperate in the game he was playing. There are rules and rules are meant to be broken, unless the one you want to break them for is turning everything in your life for the better. Is it worth the risk, he's always asking himself.

Kate was a strong gal at times. Sure she was as enamoured with the handsome business owner as the next girl, however she also knew he would demolish her heart in a second. She's there for a job. A job she is damn good at and they both know it. With the sexual attraction so thick and constantly present, it's hard to get things done. All puns intended there.

"In some ways our bond seems unflappable. In others ways, we seems as fragile as glass."

We travel through years with Trey and Kate, as they build the business, as well as a beautiful friendship. One that is laced with nothing but sexual innuendos mind you. They each live thier own lives, yet always keep tabs on what the other is doing. I wouldn't call it angst, more so unexplored passion, is what was a constant in the background of this book and I enjoyed it. Eager to find out what Trey's deal really was and if Kate would be able to handle it once she found out.

"I can have it all. I can. I will."

Love in Lingerie was a great, sexy read that I finished in a matter of hours dying to see how it was going to play out. Written from dual points of view, the book is a standalone with a nice epilogue to wrap things up.

The beauty of reading an Alessandra Torre novel for me, is the complexity of her characters and the emotions they evoke while being sexy and sinful as hell.
A campy read about a woman falling for her boss who owns a failing lingerie company takes on a whole new meaning!
Insta attraction to long lasting love?
You definitely have to read this beauty and find out!!
But there's a new book boyfriend in town and his name is Trey!!

Let’s begin by recalling some of the situations Alessandra Torre has introduced to us.
In Sex Love Repeat, we had a girl who dated two men at the same time (and by “dated,” I mean “dated in a such a way as their naughty bits were in fairly steady contact with each other”). In the Blindfold series, my main man Brad DeLuca was a huge fan of swinging. Torre’s Deanna Madden books feature a heroine who is a cam girl. Black Lies – well, I’m not going to tell you much about that one because HOLY PLOT TWIST. But I will say that we have a woman who, again, rocks the headboard with two men. With Hollywood Dirt, Torre headed in a slightly different direction, delivering a more traditional love story, albeit one aided and abedded (GET IT) by a chicken.

And now we have Love in Lingerie, which is so freaking stupendous that I can’t even begin to tell you how much I adore this book.

I am a huge – HUGE, I tell you – Brad DeLuca fan. Those Blindfolded books were gloriously, sublimely hot, and Brad is just … he’s at the top of my “I wish he were real” list. (He shares that spot with Adam Steinbeck from CD Reiss’s Marriage Games and Separation Games). But Torre has gone and upended my list because, girls, Trey Marks is fan-freaking-tastic.

Trey owns a struggling lingerie business, and when he hires Kate to be his Creative Director, he does so knowing that he’s attracted to her. But he enacted a corporate policy forbidding dating between coworkers, and Kate has a fiancé, so he’s safe, right?

Trey has another reason for wanting to keep Kate at arm’s length, and that reason is Brad DeLuca-esque in nature. But whereas Brad is all dangerous dominance, Trey is a little quieter, a little kinder, a little more open to feeling things. He understands the risks, both personal and professional, but he doesn’t allow those risks to control him.

Kate is perhaps my favorite of Torre’s heroines. She’s feisty and smart, and she won’t allow the men in her life to dictate her decisions. She takes advantage of the opportunities that come her way, and even when she’s initially shocked or put off from something, she opens her mind to considering it, to not allowing those things to color her judgment of people.

And let me just say that the sexy times in this book – which Torre keeps you waiting for in the most deliciously torturous way – are so thigh-squeezingly amazing that you will wear out both your vibrator and your partner. Torre delivers the quiver as only she can.

At its heart, Love in Lingerie is a love story. The first word of the title tells you quite a bit, faithful readers. You have two people who become very close friends and who yearn to become lovers. Torre uses this to percolate their feelings for each other, showing you how and why those feelings of friendship and lust turn into something more powerful.

I enjoy the way Alessandra Torre writes so, so much. SO MUCH. And this book is one of my favorites of hers. My main man Brad has some competition in Trey, who proves himself quite worthy of the comparisons.

Trey Marks owner of Marks Lingerie is looking for a new employee, one that will help pull his sinking business out of trouble. Kate is just the woman he needs, he knows that he can't screw this up with his lustful feelings for her.

With the sexual energy between the two I expected clothes to be torn off and passionate sex on the desk almost straight away, but that isn't what happens. Years pass with the two becoming a great team at work and also very close friends. Time only seems to make the passion for each other grow into so much more. With partners getting in the way and Trey not being completely honest about his sex life, can the two ever finally get it together?

This is a sexy, romance told from dual point of views. I was pulled in from the start by the Authors words - she captures your attention with every sentence, and leaves you feeling as if you are part of the story. I loved this book so much and will be recommending it to all my book friends.

Short and sweet. A typically tumultuous Alessandra Torre friends to lovers story.

Spanned out over a few years, we meet Trey Marks and Kate Martin at a pivotal time in the history of Marks Lingerie. It's failing and needs some desperate changes in order to survive the quarter, let alone the year or beyond.

Trey is dominant, knowledgeable and very alpha. He rarely relinquishes control and struggles with Kate's appointment of his latest in a string of Creative Directors for his ailing company.

Kate knows she is right for the job. She knows she can turn the company around. She isn't blind, she knows her boss is attractive and she soon realises that he affects her in ways that aren't necessarily professional.

Trey has strict non-fraternisation rules and no matter the connection and close friendship he and Kate form, this is one situation where he can't risk the company and his livelihood.

What we encounter throughout the story is the push and pull they experience towards and away from one another and the relationships they form with people outside of their professional life.

I adore Alessandra's style of writing - it draws you in, it immerses you into their reality and you experience every emotion, every argument, every single dot of sexual tension. I adored the ending and thought it was a perfect journey for a strong relationship inside and outside of work. Their balance between the two is simply perfection and the tale is one that gives the hopeless romantics of the world hope that there is such a thing as the slow-burn love. Let the men make mistakes (Trey made plenty of his own!), own up to your feelings and take that risk! It may just be worth every second of torment!

I love Alessandra Torre's books. I read some and most were pulled into the dark side and drama. But LOVE IN LINGERIE is different. A short story, light and very nice to read.

Kate wanted to get out of a job where there was no chance of evolution, to one where she could explore her creativity. A nd eventually she manage to become the creative director of Trey's lingerie company. Trey needs to innovate his brand to save his company and find the solution on Kate. What begins already confused between boss and employee becomes a great friendship, but is it really just friendship?

I was very anxious to read about this topic: an office romance. And here the author surprised me, because I thought this would be a drama. However LOVE IN LINGERIE does not bring too much drama. It brings a story about the fine line between friendship and love. It was great to have the opportunity to read something light and fun of this author.

The only thing that bothered me about this book was the time pace. I particularly don't like it when time goes by so fast - weeks, years later. I don't care when it happens once or twice. But when it is often, it bothers me a lot. However I think this will be no problem for other readers.

The characters are charismatic. Cute. Already at the beginning we fall for them. But it also has frustrating moments because of the sexual tension. Trey and Kate has so much chemistry! Oh I soooo wanted to hold their heads in front of each other and scream " kiss already!" lol.

It's the kind of book to chill out and to make you fall in love with the story of the characters. I recommend it for anyone who enjoys a romantic comedy.

This seriously sexy, slow-burning friends-to-lovers romance is not to be missed. More mandaTORRE reading from Alessandra Torre. One-click worthy.

LOVED!! From the very first page I just wanted to keep reading and could not put it down. It's short and sweet, but filled with lots of fun, a little bit of drama, but a lovely friends to lovers story.

Trey and Kate are brilliant characters. Trey is strong, dominant and alpha, doing whatever he can to help bring his lingerie business back from the brink of failure. He brings Kate on board to help him and his business out.

The sexual chemistry in the book was ON FIRE!! You could just see what was coming, without really fully knowing what to expect or how it would happen - but it took for ever to actually happen. And although it was electric I really wanted things to happen a bit quicker! But I loved how it happened! Pretty vague I know, but just read it... :)

The timeline of this book wasn't a quick one! It was a slow burn which spans over a number of years which I found great and made a change to so many of the insta-love stories. The way the story builds and grows over the pages is fab! This story is just totally smoldering, smoking hot, super sexy and funny! Alessandre Torre has a real knack for writing great stories, bold, sexy and sassy characters with an immense amount of depth!

This is a book I will come back to and read again!

Brilliant! This book IS lingerie~ foreplay bursting with anticipation and undeniable sensual expectations. Keep ice nearby... you will need it.

Trey and Kate are the perfect characters to play this game of seduction. Their banter and physical sensual dance promises delights and yet they stay away from each other to preserve their professional relationship. What a trip! These pages drip with their attraction and humor, while they try to keep their hands in their pockets.

Amazing writing by our author. With few words, she paints the pictures of this romance in the making. Her words engage our brains in mental pictures that stimulate our emotions.

I received a copy from the author. I am reviewing this book voluntarily. I loved this book! It is a must read for all readers of romance.

Trey Marks’ business is failing. He needs a new Creative Director that can turn his business out of the red and into the black. When he brings Kate Martin on board he thinks that he has everything under control. She’s engaged, therefore there is no danger of breaking his own ‘no fraternizing’ rule despite the immediate chemistry they have between them.
Kate Martin needs a change. She’s spent the last 10 years being denied the promotion that she was promised. When she finds out that Marks Lingerie is in need of a new Creative Direction, she jumps at the chance to finally move up in her career.
He needs a Creative Director, and I need a new job. Word on the street is that Mark Lingerie is struggling, and I don’t need a psychology degree to read the stress that frames his cocky stare.
Kate begins to make major changes to Marks Lingerie which enrages Trey, but in time she is able to prove her worth. Trey leaves the future of his company in her hands. Marks Lingerie is soon in the black as Kate revitalizes Mark Lingerie.
I’m wagering everything on this. On you. I need you to understand how important it is for this to succeed.
Soon Trey and Kate become a power house. It’s undeniable that they are both attracted together, but they both have acknowledged that it would be detrimental to the company.
Baby Jesus in a Manger. The man should be illegal.
I’m going to some up this book in one phase: It’s a big cock-tease. Yup, I said that right, cock-tease. It’s definitely hot. This book definitely gave me the shivers(the good kind) and made my ears burn up in heat. But this is not your typical love story. This is not simple. This is not picturesque. This gets dark and dirty and it pissed me off. I was about ready to throw in the towel, but Alessandra is one of my favorite writers, so I knew to hang in there. She always delivers.
FINALLY Trey realizes that he would be losing a lot more than his company if he didn’t face the fact that he can’t be without Kate.
It had been the news of her date that had broken my restraint, the way she had bounded inside, full of stories and smiles, as if this guy was a possibility, as if he could , in any way, make her happy. I had seen hope in her eyes, and a panic switch in my heart had tripped.
I’m sorry, is it hot in here? **fans self** Trey Marks has all the right words. And what that man can do with a pen… Let’s just say that the last 10% makes up for all the frustration that you feel from 50%-80%. Yeah…that’s a lot of frustration, but totally worth it!
I loved how Alessandra always has some sort of connection in her books. With this one it’s Trey’s comparison to how a person or a situation is like lingerie. It’s genius, it’s sexy, it ties the book in perfectly.
If our love was lingerie, it’d be a corset, one laced so tightly that it takes your breath.
If our love was lingerie, it would be drawn on her skin with ink, a tattoo designed to bend and grow with her.
If our love was lingerie, it would be see-through lace that would share everything while still teasing the hell out of both parties.
If our love was lingerie, it’d be leather, thin strips of binding that could withstand a hundred years of war and peace, fights and love-making. It would yield and give, yet never rip or break. It would be build to last, to wear forever.
If our love was lingerie, it would never come off.

I guess I thought this was going to be more of a dark read, so I was pleasantly surprised that although it was definitely angsty it was also more light hearted. There was a lot of humor in the story and the characters were really charming. It was also full of feeling, passion, and longing that totally kept me full of anticipation from beginning to end. It was super-hot and steamy, and I totally consumed it in only a few days!

Trey Marks is the sexy and womanizing founder of Mark’s Lingerie. His struggling business is desperately in need of a Creative Director, and Kate Martin is the perfect candidate for the job. Side by side, they are determined to bring the company back to life with a fresh look and style. They challenge each other relentlessly with their strong personalities and soon develop an admiration and mutual respect making them a very successful team – both professionally and personally. They naturally establish a great friendship, however, the fact that it is almost impossible for them to keep their hands off of each other and their strong attraction is a definite problem. It is sizzling and off the charts, but Trey makes it clear he will fight the temptation and not mix business with pleasure and jeopardize his company ever again.

Trey and Kate were so fun and flirty together, and I loved their back and forth spirited banter. I initially thought Trey’s character was going to be a bit of an ass, so I was surprised that he had such depth and heart. He was just so sweet and absolutely adored Kate, and I loved his quirky little comparisons of lingerie to his feelings. I had Kate pegged all wrong in the beginning, so I was so pleased that she was such a strong minded and confident heroine in this story and so feisty with Trey!

I really enjoyed knowing their individual thoughts and perspectives with the dual point of view, and it was so hard to watch them continue to resist their feelings for each other as they grew and intensified. There was an incredibly slow burning passion between them throughout the story, and it was such a complete tease! Every time I thought they might finally give in… ugh! Honestly, I really didn’t want their story to end, but I was so anxious and wanting their happily ever after SO bad!

I’ll be the first to admit that I am a huge fan of Alessandra Torre, and she is definitely one of my favorite authors. Her characters are so relatable that I can’t help but be drawn to them. Whether I love them, or hate them, or love and hate them, it seems I am always rooting for them in some way. Her books are all so completely unique from each other and keep me captivated and right on the edge of my seat – never at a lull. They tease and tempt throughout and leave me teetering right on the edge in anticipation of what’s to come. Just when I think I can’t take it anymore, she gives me an incredible ending and wow… Just WOW! I can finally breathe again, and then I can’t wait for her next release to come out! I definitely enjoyed this read, and I highly recommend it!

I’ll start with the ending, it was so great! Trey and Kate’s push/pull relationship, their chemistry, their shared wish for business success, and the fact they were true friends first, made for a very enjoyable read.

I loved the character development of Trey and Kate. From the first chapter to the last, the way that Ms. Torre plays them off each other is brilliant. Each of them watching the other going through relationships with other people, when what they really wanted was each other. Working together to achieve the common goal of saving Trey’s business. And working through the complications between them when the truth is exposed, to come together and be with each other. All of it makes for a very good read.

Ms. Torre set a fast pace in this dual POV book with a slow burn friends to lovers that makes for enjoyable reading. The banter between Trey and Kate is excellent. I really enjoyed this book from start to HEA.

Alessandra Torre is a BRILLIANT writer. There’s not a single book I’ve read by her that I haven’t loved. Love in Lingerie was a delicious mix of forbidden and friends-to-lovers—I straight up devoured it! The relationship between Kate and Trey was slow-building and the sexual tension was oh so torturous. They had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation, just waiting for them to give in to their feelings. Love in Lingerie was addictive, angsty, swoony, and so damn HOT. I LOVED it.

So, I don't know if ya'll realize it or not, but I'm a huge Alessandra Torre fan. She's infamous for pushing boundaries in her writing. And this one pushed mine. At one point I wanted to throw the Kindle across the room.

I started off loving both Kate and Trey. But then Trey kind of broke my heart when he broke Kate's. I get that Trey and Kate weren't really together-together, but I felt so betrayed by his actions. He made me not want to finish the book. But, I knew Alessandra wouldn't let me down so I kept going even though I was cringing inside. I eventually came back from my disappointment in him ;)

I wish we had have seen more of them together...you know, together-together. Their friendship was awesome, but I wanted to see them as a romantic couple. THE EPILOGUE WAS FANTASTIC!!!!! All kinds of swoony feelings there!

So, I suggest you go read this. You won't regret it because Alessandra Torre can write an amazing story!

*thanks to the author for sharing a copy of this with me*

Wait for it...yes! Wait...no....wait for it...maybe, nope not yet.....wait for it...wait for it.

Ms. Torre takes sexual tension to an all time high in this novel. I wouldn't necessarily call this book a slow burn because there was plenty of heat and fun times all around...just not with who you would expect. The anticipation of the relationship moving to the next level is the best part of this book.

Kate Martin is desperate for a new job and she's got her sights set on Creative Director. Upon first meeting her new boss, Trey, she feels an instant attraction to him. Thanking her lucky stars and his strict no fraternization policy she accepts the position and embarks on a mission to help him save his company.

I never like to go into too much detail because I'm always afraid that I will reveal too much and ruin the story for someone. It's safe to say that this book will take you on a journey. Definitely a friends to lovers romance, but be aware there are other relationships between the main characters and other people throughout the book. It definitely emphasizes the relationship between the main characters but beware if you don't like to read about main characters with other people.

I loved this book. I found myself growling (yes growling) at Trey quite often. If he was my friend I might have smacked him upside the head a few times as well. That is how involved you will get into this story. Clear your schedule, sit down and enjoy the ride.

Alessandra Torre is amazing. I love how she creates a super sexy but tasteful love story. Love in Lingerie will knock your knickers off as well as melt your heart. <3

I was gifted a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Oh my gosh! I have been raving about this book for a week - ever since I finished reading it. If you're an Alessandra Torre reader I would peg Love in Lingerie as a cross between the Innocence series and the Dumas Diaries. I didn't want to put this book down. It's story line covers two individuals - one who owns a lingerie company and the other would would love to work in lingerie.

Trey Marks owns Marks Lingerie and it's in need of a rescue. On the hunt for a creative director to help him pull the company back into the black he wasn't expecting Kate Martin when she walks into his office. It's quite hard to remind himself of the no fraternization policy he has firmly in place.

Though her boss is insanely hot and makes her feel things she's never felt even with one look - Kate can't screw up this job. People's lively hoods are at stake as well as the company itself. Working day to day with Trey is definitely a challenge though it has it's perks as well.

Success breeds success. Trey and Kate have it in spades with her new designs and ideas for Marks Lingerie. Just the looks these two give each other are panty melting. You can just feel the tension building between them.

I can't say enough about this story. Their love story - years in the making. Heartwarming. Attention getting. Captivating. Amazing. Definitely a favorite.

<3 <3 <3 I didn't think I could love an Alessandra Torre book more than I did Moonshot, but this one I did. Following the evolution of Trey and Kate's relationship....no words.

Love in Lingerie was different. It was different because the author didn't focus on one specific period of time with this couple. Instead, we followed this couple and their relationship as it started as boss/employee to best friends to best friends who want something more to best friends figuring out what was more important in their lives.

I adored both characters but there was just something about Trey that dug itself into me. I loved the fact that he wouldn't cross his boundaries with Kate, even though he wanted to (often times desperately). First, it was because he truly believed she could help him turn his company around. But then it was because he was terrified of losing his best friend. I could sympathize with him and understood his unwillingness rock the boat and take away the one thing he couldn't live without....Kate.

Alessandra Torre books tend to leave me breathless. Her writing is beautiful and the characters she creates so wonderfully flawed. Love in Lingerie is one of those books that stays with you. A proof that you can get it right, even if it takes seven years to get there.

I have completely fallen in love with Alessandra Torre's writing, she certainly knows how to write a book that keeps you completely captivated from start to finish. She had me laughing, crying, swooning and smiling throughout. There are some nice angst moments mixed in with the sexy.

This is about Trey and Kate's slow burning romance. They hold off on their attraction as there is a strict no-fraternisation policy and Trey can't risk his company and livelihood by mixing business with his and Kate's pleasure.

⭐️I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of his book in exchange for an honest review from the author and Next Step PR ⭐️

I've often felt that the mark of a good writer is someone who can make you love something you hate. For example, I don't enjoy horror but yet I love Stephen King's work. The same can be said with this latest release from Alessandra Torre. She took many aspects that I normally dismiss and made me LOVE it.

This story actually spans years. You would never realize it though; its so very subtle. Yes, the characters physically tell us the time has passed, but the author just wove this together seamlessly. I normally don't like books that do this but in this book, it was perfection and it worked. It also made sense. We need that time to pass for our characters.

Kate and Trey are attracted to each other the first day they meet. But Kate initially has a soon-to-be husband. Trey has some more interesting sexual appetites that Kate isn't aware of. Things just never really fall into place for them; even though everyone can see the chemistry they have.
Another facet I loved was that we see Kate and Trey be successful elsewhere; not just as a couple. As the story goes on, we get to watch their hard work pay off professionally. This just tightens their bond. Trey brings out the more relaxed side of Kate, and Kate brings out a more tender side in Trey.

Kate's character is really fantastic. She is one confident woman. Now, she may not always feel confident, but when she is at work, Kate knows what she is doing. There is a scene in the book where Kate makes a big change at Marks Lingerie, and Trey confronts her about it. Instead of being meek and scared of her boss, Kate immediately defends her actions and has the reasoning to back it up. It was so refreshing to see that!

I actually finished this book while on a plane and I'm sure the look on my face was priceless. I was so happy at the way this story wrapped up and I can say that I felt true elation for the characters.

I cannot recommend this book enough. I can truly say it has become one of my favorite books of all time. It was so fantastically thought out and I left this story feeling happiness, sadness because it was over, and all around satisfaction over such a great story.
