I can’t believe it has been a while since I read a MC romance, however Hooked soon remind me why I loved this sub genre for so long. Philips first in a new series didn’t disappoint.
I love that whilst it was cliché it was fun and sexy and I couldn’t get enough especially after the first chapter.

Philips opening was perfect and lived up to the title. I loved how Grace and Zach met each other despite being cliché. I t was perfect for these two characters. Grace the rich heriress working for the family business and Zach a MC who lives up to name of his club. Built like a Viking and he definitely was alpha male he didn’t second think. He thought it was all a game. It should have been awkward but instead it work beautifully.
Those moment shaped their relationship and I loved that as there was tough moments in this novel Whilst you probably thinking that the heroine was caught up being a rich girl walking on the wilde side to get attention . Grace was far from the cliché and this what really stood out . The author may used clichés for the basis for her story. However there was so much more, both struggled with things in the story and it wasn’t trivial. It made more just a MC romance novel and I loved when an author goes beyond then what you expect.

It was nearly perfect. My only problem was the whole MC angle wasn’t fleshed out enough. Whilst we got mention of the clubhouse and introduced to the key members of Viking Bastard I wanted to see Grace handle herself in the clubhouse. I wanted to be shown not told about certain things. I know the whole no outsiders but even so Zach and Grace’s relationship was on thin ice at times. I wanted Grace not to be left out in the dark as such was by the club. It was selective by Zach and I wonder if this is the last we see of these two purely because of the big changes they went through. Either way I can’t wait for more of this series.

This book was so good! I loved it!
Zack and Grace meets by accident, while her car broke down and her self phone died. From the moment they met the chemistry was explosive.

But Zack is MC guy and Grace is a rich 'princess'. This will never work right.
But they can't deny how they feel or how good the sex is. So will they compromise or will they rather both go their separate ways.

Loved Zack and even though he tried to deny his feelings for Grace he couldn't escape how he felt.

Awesome story, can't wait for the next one. Will it be Zacks brother Gage??

Grace was a rich girl from mMalibu that always did the right thing. Until she didn’t she was tired of her life being controlled by her family and now ex fiance. Grace was on her way to her sisters after she had broken her engagement and she got lost when she had to take a detour. Then grace’s car broke down there was a storm and her phone was dead. Grace ends up at a lo;cal bar called Odin’s and a lot of bikers are there one in particular catches grace’s attention as well as grace catches his attention. The biker’s name is Zach who is a Viking Bastard of the Viking Bastards MC. Zach was raised in the MC and is very loyal. Zach doesn’t believe in commitment or love but he loves his sex down and dirty. Zach and Grace have instant hot chemistry and Grace decides to go for it what can one night on the wild side hurt.
I liked this story a lot. It was a quick enjoyable read but I really wouldn’t call it an MC book . Zach was a biker was in an MC but that is all there really is about the club no meetings or business or anything like that. Really just about Zach and Grace mainly.I don’t think Grace’s character would have just have sex so quickly with a stranger especially one so opposite her. But i loved the plot the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I recommend.

One dirty bad boy biker, Zach. Provides sex raw, rough, dirty, nasty, and a bit binding. But that was okay, this good girl, Grace, was willing to take a walk on the wild side for the night. She never bargained that it would lead to more. Scorched was most certainly on the menu.

Hooked gets you in to the bad boy biker world of the Viking Bastards MCs. Once you step in you will be wanting more. The dual POV gives a deeper perspective to each of the characters. This was a great way to start off a new series.

This was a cute, quick read! I loved watching Zach fall...he'd think something tough but couldn't help but say something sweet. I just wish there was a little more exploration of the story outside the romance. I went in prepared for the romance to be heavy and the story to be light, but it almost felt like interesting plot points were introduced with no follow through. I wanted a little more.

3.5 stars !

Hooked is book one in the Viking Bastards MC series by author Christina Phillips. This story was quite enjoyable although I have to say that it was not what I expected. I wouldn’t classified it as an MC book as it was more centered around the H and h than club business. There was very little action involving the motorcycle club, no club drama and no angst. That being said, this was full of romance and hot and steamy action between the main characters, which made it a pleasant and interesting read.

After having ditched her fiancé of two years, Grace is on her way to crash at her sister’s place, when her car breaks down. Stuck in the middle of a storm and no charge on her cell, she ends-up in a local bar full of guys with huge muscles and long hair staring at her. Grace is a rich, prim and proper girl who has everything she thoughts she needed in her life until she meets the sexy, self-assured and arrogant biker, Zach.

Zach is a Viking Bastard, raised in the club and loyal to it. His MC is his life and his brothers always come first. Zach doesn't believe in love or commitment or any kind. For him it’s all about sex and preferably dirty and disposable sex. That is, until Zach sees classy Grace walks into his bar.

Unexpectedly attracted to each other despite their obvious social differences, Zach and Grace hook up almost immediately. Nameless sex is something Grace has never done before, but something that Zach is well used to. One night of wild, frenzied passion, turns into a second night, then into a week that will make them question everything they’ve never known. Can two very different individuals from different worlds that have nothing in common make it and find hapiness together? Or will it be too much to withstand and pull them apart ?

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was hot, flirtatious, the sexual chemistry between Zach and Grace was off the charts and they were both likable characters. The heroine comes from money and has a privileged life but she isn’t a spoilt brat. Zach is a smoking hot alpha male biker, cocky and dirty minded. I liked him for the most part, but it took a while for Zach to evolve from a man fighting his desire for keeping what they shared as a sex fling with no real feelings involved, to a man that finally let go of his rules and reputation to take a chance on love.

This was actually a 4 star read for me but I found the ending a little rushed and I would have loved to get an epilogue. But I'll definitely read more from this author.

3.5 stars--HOOKED is the first installment in Christina Phillips’s contemporary, adult VIKING BASTARDS erotic, romance series focusing on the members of the Viking Bastards MC. This is MC member Zach Reynolds, and HR specialist Grace Mulholland’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Zach and Grace) HOOKED focuses on the unlikely relationship between mechanic Zach Reynolds- a member of the Vikings Bastards MC, and HR specialist Grace Mulholland. Grace finds herself in a predicament when her car breaks down and her cell phone is dead. Walking into Odin’s - a seedy, rundown biker bar- finds our heroine going outside of her comfort zone and offering whatever it takes to the man in charge. Enter third generation MC member Zach Reynolds-a tattooed biker who demands everything from Grace and more. What ensues is the quick building relationship between two people from opposite sides of the track.

HOOKED is a story of erotica; a sexually, uninhibited look at one woman’s journey into the dark and dangerous world of the MC, and one man’s struggle to keep from falling for the ‘princess’ that calls to his heart. Like most MC story lines there is plenty of $ex and sexual situations but there is very little known about the Club and its members- the Club and everything it represents is secondary to the story line premise.

We are introduced to Zach’s sister Kat, and their brother Gage; tattooist and MC member Cade, as well as Grace’s sister Charity. The premise is entertaining and intoxicating; the characters are spirited and dynamic; the romance is passionate and erotic. The conflict is limited to Zach’s inability to accept anything beyond a one-night stand; any angst is brought about by demons from Zach’s past. I was hoping for a little more grit , danger and conflict but as an introductory story line HOOKED had me hooked from the very start.

3.5 to 4*

I have to admit I enjoyed this book more than I expected, when I started reading I fully expected this to be a standard 3* read, not that there's anything wrong with that most of the books I read fall into that category.
While in many ways this was your typical rough and ready biker meets classy rich girl for a quick hook-up it was somehow more and that's mainly down to the characters.
Grace comes from an incredibly wealthy family having just broken up with her fiancé of two years she's driving to her sisters when her car breaks down, with no charge on her phone the only option open to her is a seedy looking bar.
Zach spots Grace the minute she enters and decides if she's looking to get down and dirty it's going to be with him. Grace only wants to use the phone but can't deny the instant scorching attraction she feels towards Zach.
Zach doesn't believe for one minute that her car has actually broken down he thinks her friends are waiting outside and she's after one thing and one thing only and that may as well be provided by him.
One quick one off hook-up turns into overnight and then the next day and.....well you'll have to read for the rest but I really enjoyed this and I'll certainly be reading the next one.
Zach is a member of the Viking Bastards MC and while the club is a huge part of his life it's not a huge part of this book, this is more of a romance than an MC.
Both Zach and Grace are interesting characters and when they originally meet they are both set on their own life paths but together they grow and the development of these characters was more than I expected from this book.

A sexy and short read about a rich and sexy, red headed girl and a hot, tatted-out, MC bad boy…can their two very different worlds come together or is it too much for a relationship to work? The events that lead Grace and Zach to come together is quite possible, but the events after, highly unlikely. However, you can't help but love the possibility of love working itself out, the idea that we can't always choose who we fall in love with…

Hooked was a quick fun read.

It was not concentrated on the MC life so the MC in the title is a little misleading of you are wanting a full on MC read. I did not mind it though. I do not think the book would have the same feel if it did.

The back and forth of trying to convince themselves if this is right or wrong are they doing was not over the top, it was just right.

Each character learned from each other. Whether it was to follow your dreams or going outside of your comfort zone.

It had a smidge angst.
It had a splash of drama.
It had a pint of opposites attract.
It had a gallon of wrong side of tracks.
It had a handful of sex.

Side note: The author is based in Australia and some of her lingo slipped into the book even though the setting was in California. They are not far off that you would not be able to understand what she meant. It was quicke for me to pick it up since I was a lot of Aussie TV.

I wasn't a fan of this book. The erotica aspect was good; nice sex scenes, but the storyline was extremely lacking. The plot is only hinted at and most of the book consists of the male character denying his feelings and the female character pushing herself on him.

Not my cup of tea, really, but good if you enjoy simply erotica with no storyline.

Hooked is the first book in the Viking MC series and it was a good start, not great but good. It was a fairly quick and enjoyable read, one that began to set the scene for the rest of the series. There were some plot holes left unresolved and while I think that Zach and Grace were likable characters I wish that there would have been more development both individually and as a couple. I am a MC romance fan, I love the structure that an MC has and that edge of the outlaws or just plain old bad boys but Hooked was fairly tame.

It did have some hot moments, don’t get me wrong but I wish it would have just been more all around, and by more I mean that I wish there was more depth to the plot. I am curious to see how the author plans on this series playing out. Hooked was a good start and the series has the potential of being one that I believe that readers will enjoy as long as it is done right.

fanfuckingtastically DEeeeelicious #TRUST

The story of Zack and Grace is very much a sexual story. It’s an insta-lust turned to love by the end. It is ridiculously well written for such a story. Ya’ll know how difficult it is to pull off insta anything in a romance novel. Christina Phillips does it flawlessly. And the woman can write some delicious sexy #TRUTH

Zack & Grace meet by chance. Now while I have no issue with anyone picking up a complete stranger in a bar and having sex with them, I had to suspend a lot of common sense thinking to buy into it. But then it happened and the story began to unfold and I realized I didn’t need to suspend anything because it did make sense. THAT’S the story telling power Christina brings to the table. I have come across very few authors in my life time that can do this and I am highly impressed.

The motorcycle club portion of the book is non existent really. And it may or may not come in the future. I don’t know. Christina does allude in the very end that it will so we shall see. But this is not an MC romance at all. It’s a very erotic contemporary romance with a man who happens to be part of an MC. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS 🙂

Holy wowza what an amazing book! Hooked is sensational. Zach and Grace are completely adorable and I am so excited I got to read about their love story.

Zach is used to having any girl he wants, any time he wants. He doesn’t have plans to settle down with one woman because all he needs is his club. Then Grace walks in to his families’ bar, soaking wet and asking for a phone and all he knows is he wants her. Grace just broke off her two-year engagement when her car broke down in front of a bar on the “bad side of town.” Meeting a hunky biker who thinks her asking for a phone is a come on she throws caution to the wind and ends up spending the night with him, then the weekend. Soon they’re spending more and more time together for more than just sex, but they’re from two different worlds and aren’t sure how to handle that.

Zach and Grace are so cute together. I like how Zach while probably very rough and tough since he’s an MC, I liked how sweet and nice he could be for Grace. I liked how he struggled to understand her world sometimes and how Grace operated, but he kind of just went with the flow to be with her. Grace is so cute. I like how despite her and Zach’s obvious differences she didn’t care about any of that besides being with Zach.

Hooked is an adorable and smoking hot read if you could put those two things together. The relationship between Zach and Grace is so sweet, but the sexy times are a blazing’. Go check this book out ASAP, because it is glorious.

Sorry for the delay in responding/reviewing this book. This will be a DNF for me. I tried multiple times to read it but the hero made my skin crawl. Sorry.

Hooked is a lovely, light and fun romance. I practically read it in one sitting, and it had me smiling from start to finish. Hooked is a great story, what it isn’t is a Biker romance. Ok, it is in the sense that Zach, the hero, is part of an MC, he wears a cut and there are small mentions of club associated life. But that’s the extent of it, there is no club business or action of any kind. Sorry, there’s definitely sexy action, and that is super-hot, just no other kind of action.

A classy chick, Grace, walks into a biker bar. Her car died in the middle of a storm at night and her phone was kaput too. After being the dutiful eldest daughter working in the family company and dating the family approved guy, she sees Zach and after his forward come-on just goes for it.

Zach the badass biker hunk is quite taken by the uppity redhead bombshell. And one hook up doesn’t seem to be enough to get her out of his system. When they start to spend more and more time together, will Grace walk away from her family’s expectations and do what (and who) she really wants for once? Will Zach’s carefree-biker persona get in the way of the best thing that ever happened to him besides his club?

As I said, Hooked was a great romance. It had sweet, it had steamy and some sexy hot. Zach was a typical biker dude used to plenty of easy women hanging on him. I really enjoyed how the author let us witness the gradual change to his feelings, or more accurately his gradual acknowledgment of said feelings. At times his conversations with himself were hilarious.

Grace I liked too, her eldest child syndrome (how she put it) did get a bit on my nerves, and a little more open communication with her family would have been best. I also loved how the author handled her feelings and the way she was always open about her lack of experience with Zach, making her quite refreshing in this regard.

Again, if you go in expecting a tough, action-packed Biker romance you will not find what you’re looking for. What I got was a really good, wonderful story that had me smiling from the start until the very end and left me with a happy glow. I’ll be eagerly waiting for the next in the series…. Although had there been an epilogue I would have been much more glowy.

Zach will leave you speechless with his blunt words and animal tendencies. Grace is his addiction and he's her temptation. Every wicked thought that pops into my head could not describe how sultry this couple could be. Ms. Phillips heats it up for sure.

Hooked was a great read with a solid, well written storyline. Zack and Grace are individuals with very different lives but together they are stronger with a connection that cannot be denied and a passion that is electric. I look forward to book 2!

Since I had read one other book from this author when I seen this had to go for it. In this one you have Grace and Zach which to me are like polar opposites. When she needs help that when things begin. Once you begin to follow these two it really is all about them. The other is more like background but it is part of why in entered in. I find it is alittle different than most but that is good too. It is on the high meter of hot also. You stick with them because you need to see if they can survive with this author giving you a scrumptious read to get to the other side.

Hooked is the first in the Viking Bastards MC romance series, and delivers a scorchingly sexy story about a hotel heiress and a man from a vastly different world. In this romance, Grace finds herself in a not so great neighborhood with a broken down car. Having just ditched her fiance of four years, when she meets sexy stranger Zach at a bar where she’s looking for a phone, the instant lust between them leads her to throw caution to the winds and engage in some mutual satisfaction. One night turns into two and then more as these two opposites find themselves unable to let go. But with their different backgrounds and family expectations, do they have a chance of making their sexy affair turn into the real thing?

I enjoyed this story. Zach is a third generation motorcycle club member, his father having died in prison and his mother from an illness shortly thereafter. He lives with his sister and brother and they are a fairly close knit family. The motorcycle club atmosphere is fairly generic and I hope to see more development of it in future stories. As such, Zach feels like he could have any kind of blue collar job. He’s a bit rough around the edges, quick tempered if anyone is insulting someone he cares about, but with a good heart underneath. Grace comes across as a nice young woman, friendly and smart, the kind who doesn’t like to make waves but has realized that she’s not happy anymore following her parents wishes, including marrying their choice of spouse. She sees beyond Zach’s rough exterior and falls for him quickly, hoping his feelings are the same. The inevitable conflict comes up with their difference in social circumstances, but they get through those bumps in the road to the happy ending. If you like opposites attract romances full of steamy sex, this one’s for you!
