A typical MC book.

Zach was one dirty mouthed character. Loved him.
not so sure about the heroine though ...a bit too perfect for my liking but she grew on me. This was a new author fir me and I'll,give her another go that's for sure. Great book.

I have yet to read too many MC style stories but I was fascinated after reading the blurp for Hooked. Zach and Grace are two very different people from two very different life styles. Grace just got out of a bad relationship when her car breaks down on the side of the road. When a uptight rich girl walks into a down and dirty MC bar Zach is calling dibs to help take the stick out of her butt. Grace just needs a phone to call for help but what she gets is a night she will never forget with a man she isn’t ready to let go of. Zach doesn’t do repeats often but with Grace he is willing to make an exception or two. Grace and Zach burn up the pages. I really enjoyed not only the storyline, the main characters, but also secondary characters. I can’t wait to read more from the other characters! 4.5 stars

4 1/2 STARS!

I loved this book! Yes, it was your typical "dirty talking biker devours pour little rich girl" story and it was all about sex, sex, sex ... and that's WHY I loved it!!! He might have been a rough biker before he met her, but for her, he was a giant teddy bear. They were sweet together. Don't get me wrong, they were burn up the sheets HOT too, but there was a special connection there. Looking forward to more in the series! BTW ... If you're looking for the down and dirty behind the scenes MC business type of book, you won't find it here ... but you will find a very sexy dominant biker dude who likes what he sees and takes it.

Zach Reynolds loves his MC and his family ... other than that, he couldn't care less about anything else. And then she walks into his favorite hangout ... alone, gorgeous, and way out of his league. She's going to be his!

Grace Mulholland might not be satisfied with her life, but she never expected a huge, tattooed tough guy to be what made her life complete! She can't deny the sex is out of this world ... the best she's ever had by far ... but seriously, can she really see this guy in her world forever? Maybe!

Zach comes from a long line of leather clad men and motorcycles, it's the only life he has known, and damn sure the only life he wants to live. He is as tough and arrogant as they come, he doesn't do love, feelings or relationships, and his entanglements with the opposite sex are usually one night and done. The women who come knocking know the score, accept the terms, get what they came for and leave, and that is the way he likes to keep it, that is until a certain sexy rich girl stumbles into his world. To say that they are opposites attract is a complete understatement, in normal circumstances, neither one of them would survive in each other's worlds, but for some reasons their bodies don't realize that... they can't get enough of one another. So, what started as a quick little pool table rendezvous winds up being on the borders of forever, and it scares the hell out of both of them... and it leaves them wondering, can they really find common ground and make this little arrangement last? Or are they kidding themselves?

This book was something else, a seriously sexy something else, from the moment I saw the cover I was "hooked," and the farther I delved into Zach and Grace's the more addicted I became, I just could not stop reading... I had to know if they could find a way to make things work!! Going in I knew Ms. Phillips has a knack for writing hot little reads, but she really surprised me with this one, these two had me feeling the flames, their story was so hot, every encounter they shared was filled with smoldering intensity, unbridled passion, & a scorching chemistry that had my tablet on the verge of melting several times!! When Zach walked into my world I knew I was in trouble, the man exudes this undeniable sex appeal, mesmerizing dominating power, and this alpha to the core swagger that that draws you in....I mean WOW!!! I highly recommend you make a point to pick this book up, the minute Zach walks into your world he'll have you at his mercy, and keep you completely entranced long after the last page is turned!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

**I received a copy of Hooked from Entangled Publishing and Net Galley in exchange for voluntary and honest review**

Hooked by Christina Phillips is book 1 of her Viking Bastard's MC series. I have read her Grayson Brothers series and I have to say that I loved Hooked.

Grace Mulholland curses her luck when her car suddenly dies in front of the Odin's which is the Viking's bar. To make matters worse her phone is dead. so she has just broke off her engagement with Russell her fiance` but when she asks to use the phone the clubs sergeant-at-arms offers a phone and much more. One thing leads to another and he's giving her what she craves the most. Once they realize that there is something more to just sex and that they really want more than a hook up we find out that Grace wants to open a Cupcake shop not run her father's hotel chain. We also get more insight to Zach and how his parents death has made him into the man that he is. Can Grace convince her father that she doesn't want to run his business? But most of all can Zach and Grace take what they have and become soul mates?

Zach Reynolds was born to be part of the Viking Bastard MC as his family were one of the founding members. But when a beautiful red head shows up at Odin's on a stormy night little does he know that Grace is more than a one night stand and will soon become someone he wants forever. He helped raise his siblings, Gage and Kat as well as being the sergeant at arms for the MC but he soon realizes that Grace is much more than one night. But will her very rich parents become a wedge between them or can they overcome the obstacles put in their way ?

I sure hope that there are more books in this series because this was a fantastic book. I'd give the book a high 4.8 stars.

I'm not sure how to start this review. Yes, the hero is part of an MC, but that's where anything that has to do with an MC ends. Hooked is more of a contemporary romance than anything MC. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the story, but if you're going in assuming the book would follow an MC formula you'll discover you get something much different.

Zach and Grace make an odd couple, on paper, but their chemistry quickly proves that despite their dissimilar backgrounds these two click. The sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts. But they also mesh outside the bedroom. Zach gives Grace the needed push to reach for her dreams and Grace gives Zach the sense of love and family he's been missing for the past ten years.

This was a quick, enjoyable read. If you're looking to maybe ease your way into MC romances, Hooked is definitely one to try.

This was the first Christina Phillips book I've read, so I had no expectations going in. I am however a big MC romance fan and enjoy most books in that genre. I must say that the book was pretty good and had one hot tattooed alpha biker that made it that much more enjoyable.

Zach is a member of the Viking Bastards MC, just like his father and grandfather before him. He's hanging out at the bar his brother owns when Grace walks in. She's as high class as they come and sticks out like a sore thumb. Grace's Mercedes broke down near the biker bar (in a bad part of town of course) and she just needed a phone to call for roadside assistance. With it being late and her phone dead, she had no choice but to suck it up and walk into the bar to ask for help. She's just called off her engagement with her boyfriend of 4 years and figures she can do something out of her norm for a change. While at the bar, Zach steps up next to her and he's cockiness and sexiness personified. He doesn't believe for a minute that her car really broke down - he thinks she's just there for a romp with a guy from the wrong side of the tracks. They flirt for quite a while before he finally convinces her to come into the back room with him to 'make her call.' They have their fun on the pool table and then he manages to convince her to stay the night with him at his place.

The chemistry between these two is hot. Grace is everything Zach is not. She's classy, rich, funny, caring and incredibly shy. Zach is a tough guy who could care less what anyone else thinks. But he gets all soft around Grace and it's incredibly cute and sweet. I like that they see the best in one another though. Grace breaks right through his shell and sees the good in him, even if he doesn't want to admit it. And Zach encourages Grace to quit worrying about pleasing her parents and finally do what she wants to do with her life. He has faith in her when she lacks it.

Of course, as with most books, Zach has to go and completely screw it all up. But he swallows his pride and makes up for it in the end. I felt as though the end was too rushed and vague though and I was left wanting to know more (How did it go with her family? What happens for them next? Do they move in together?)

My only complaint is that this wasn't a true MC book. Yes, Zach belonged in an MC and they were mentioned a handful of times, but I feel as though I know absolutely nothing about them, their values or what exactly they do. I got a vague sense of 'club life' from a few scenes described but nothing gave me the impression they were as dangerous or notorious as they seemed. Maybe I've just read too many books where they're based around outlaw MC's and I'm comparing this to those. Maybe this will be explored more in future books.

This is not your hardcore biker book but it does give you a hot alpha man who is coming to terms that a woman can actually touch his heart. He is used to women touching everything but his heart so this is all new territory to him. Zach felt an attraction to Grace the moment she walked in to a biker bar that night. Things couldn’t go worse for Grace that rainy night when she finally had enough courage to dump her fiancé, she gets lost after a detour, then her car breaks down in a bad neighborhood, and her phone is dead. She has no choice but to walk into this seedy bar hoping to use a phone in order to get help. It just so happens her help comes in the form of a hot, sexy guy wearing a biker’s cut and is covered in tats. What better way to get over her breakup than to take a walk on the wild side with this sexy as hell biker; it’s not like she will see him tomorrow. Grace is tired of being the nice, rich girl who has had her life mapped out for her by her family and ex-fiancé. What will one night of down and dirty sex matter? It’s not like anyone will find out, right? This is a book will steam up your windows and will captivate you with the path that Zach and Grace take. This is a romantic read with a little bit of dirty thrown in.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given honest review.

Received ARC for a fair and honest review.

Hooked is the first book in the Viking Bastard MC series. Grace's car broke down and her cell phone battery died in a not so great neighborhood at night right in front of a seedy looking bar. When she walks in and asks for a phone Zach thinks she's making an excuse because why else would so that she could get down and dirty with a boy from the wrong side of the tracks. Why else would she be in a bar in that neighborhood at night?

Hooked is a good start to this series. I enjoyed the characters, there was good chemistry between them. Why the book didn't get a 5 is for a couple reasons. The biggest reason was the ending ended so abruptly. The author gives you a tease makes it seem like something big is about to happen and then the book ends. The other reason is I kind of felt like they glossed over the strife that occurred.

While those issues bothered me, the book was still good and it would have been great instead of just good if those issues weren't there. It was a fast read, and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Scorchingly hot reading with a touch of sweetness thrown in. The likeable characters of Zach and Grace steal your heart and the many secondary characters have their own shining moments. A great series starter.

I absolutely loved this booked!! It's a super steamy and sexy bad boy meets good girl story. He's a rough biker, she's a spoiled rich girl. Together they just work. No woman has ever gotten to Zach but from the time he first sees Grace he knows he has to have her. What Grace thinks will be a one time walk on the wild side suddenly turns into so much more.

I highly recommend this book but if you're looking for a down and dirty MC read, this isn't it. This is definitely on the fluffy side of the MC genre but it is a fantastic read.

Zach…

I like my sex dirty and disposable. I'm not into commitment or chicks who want more than one night. My brothers and club come first, second and last.

Until she walks into my life. Classy, rich and so out of my league it's crazy. A week together should get her out of my system, but this good girl is so bad when we're all alone and I can't get enough of her.

I don't do forever, but she's hooked me so bad I don't ever want to let her go. Except there's no way a princess can live in my world and I sure as hell won't live in hers...

So this book had plot and it had heat but for me it had too much heat. I thought it could have done with a lot less. I like books that are subtle in their sexiness and the language department. However, shockingly enough for this being a MC romance it didn't have that much language in it. For that, I gave it 4 stars. So plot, heat and the language wasn't that bad. If the sex had been used a little less and the plot a little more....this would have been a really good read. However, it was labeled Erotica so I knew going in what it was. I didn't have my eyes closed and that's another reason for the rating. I think the author did a good job at conveying her characters flaws, warts and all. This was a good read for me.

I was given a copy of this ARC from the publisher on Netgalley for a honest review. All of the above comments are my express opinions and no one else's.
