To be reviewed on Goodreads and my blog when I return from overseas in a few days.
The House of Secrets follows the lives of two women, Zoe and Libby separated by 80 years. Zoe and her husband, Win, have recently purchased a house on Elysium Place, following a personal tragedy. Upon moving into their house, amidst renovations, Zoe discovers a suitcase filled with Libby’s personal belongings; a wedding dress, letters and a diary. What starts as an interesting puzzle, Libby’s diary begins to become a reflection of Zoe’s life and she becomes absorbed in trying to solve what became of Libby.
At first, I was unsure as to how this novel would progress but I quickly became immersed in both stories, at one point favouring Zoe’s story then becoming involved in Libby’s. It definitely kept me reading!
I thank NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this novel, in exchange for an honest review.
