Jenna Bayley-Burke has become one of my go to authors. I devour whatever she writes because the tropes that she immerses herself in are my absolute favorites. The Billionaire's Runaway Fiance is an engagement of convenience romance, between wealthy CEO Curtis Frye, and his new executive assistant Robyn Tindall. I enjoyed this book, in spite of the fact that the story did not flow very well at times.
Robyn Tindall is an incredibly honest woman, and when she finds her true love, it will be forever. She is very good at her job, even though she dreams about a position in event planning. Overtime Robyn falls for her boss, the bachelor of the year according to the press. So when Curtis proposes a faux engagement in order to get the paparazzi off his back, Robyn takes the plunge because she thinks he will develop feelings for her eventually. Curtis believes he is not capable of love or a commitment of any kind, so he continuously hangs onto the evolving feelings he does not understand.
Robyn and Curtis have lustful chemistry, and the author does a nice job of creating the sexual heat between them.
This is both a fun and emotional read. It is chock full of twists and turns in all the right places. So if you are looking for a solid romance that has good character development and a solid storyline, give this book a shout.

Enjoyed this one so much! Curtis Frye appears to be the typical get whatever he wants billionaire boss but he was so much deeper than that. With his own personal demons he has sworn off ever getting too involved with women. The media is making things hard for him though and having a fiance would solve most of his problems. That's were his assistant Robyn comes in. She's hardworking and dedicated. Perfect for his plan. He may promise her the world but he can't give her the one thing she wants the most....to own his heart.
This one is very well done. Great writing and interesting characters with a bit of depth I didn't expect made this one a wonderful read. I highly recommend it.

Quick read that keeps the reader engrossed in the world that is Robyn and Curtis. A Cinderella story, where he calls her out on it and says that he is unable to fulfill her fairy-tale. But will he make her dreams come true or will she Runaway broken-hearted.
Robyn is such a sweet soul. It leaps off the pages and you wish that she was your best friend. But when she falls for her boss she realizes that she is way over her head. She is so willing to help and make his life easier that she gives everything. When the moments get to tense she runs. Leaving her heart in the church.
Curtis is a great leading male that has many layers that need to be evaluated to determine who he really is. It's amazing to see how he reveals himself to Robyn, letting her into his world, letting her love him but doesn't realize that he is capable of love. That he is lovable. Will he realize it before it's too late?
I loved that the title actually had something to do with the book. I have read so many that the two don't correlate. Well written and I was sad to let go of the characters. Thank you for sharing this story with me.
I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review.
Classic lighthearted frothy romance - seriously hot, rich boss and seemingly plain PA who one day he starts to see in different light and who can assist him by playing as his fiancé to restrict media attention.
I like the easy way this author writes. An ideal holiday book if you want a bit of escapism.

This is a modern story very similiar to Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast with some changes. I am usually a huge fan of the authors but I just did not love the hero in this story and I didn't really buy his love and lust for the heroine.
This story starts out as Robyn just graduates college and gets a temp job for the hero, Curtis. Curtis loves and breathes his work amd hs assistant has left months before and he has been going thru temps and Robym is just the latest one. Robyn is just there until the agency can find her a party planner job.
But one minute into the job Curtis fires Robyn and Robyn determines to become the best assistant anywhere. She suceeds and a year later Curtis decides to hire her permantely. Then he wins a Ten of the Top Ten and reporters won't leave him alone, so comes wup with the idea of making Robyn his fiancee so they won't dig into his personal and turn him into this Top Bachelor.
Robyn meanwhile has a HUGE crush on Curtis and when he proposes she agrees hoping he will develope feelings for her. Curtis does notice her but he is anti love and when his fiancee runs away in her wedding dress while at a photo shoot, he chases after her.
This book has a lot of elements of Cinderella but Curtis is more of a beast than a prince so I think its a little Beauty and Beast too. I really liked Robyn but I really felt Curtis was too anti love to seee him as this great guy. He definitely starts to lust after Robyn but love her? I just didn't feel it. I really felt that the whole I don't want to love her because I loved my mom and she left me was kinda lame. Curtis also came off as very one dimensional and he eats, and lives his job without any real friendship beyond the relationship he has with his housekeeper and Robyn.
I usually love this author and the book was well written. I just felt she was writing the story to fit the title rather than that she really loved the characters in this story. Curtis was also not my favorite hero and I didn't buy him falling for Robyn.
They say actions speak louder than words. In The Billionaires Runaway Fiancee, that's definitely the case with Curtis. You can see it with all the little things that he does to make Robyn happy, and the way that he's always touching her. Robyn needs the words. Unfortunately by him telling her that he's unable to love, that's all she hears. I really liked how real they get with each other. No lies between them at all.
Loved this book! I loved the characters - especially Robyn - and how they interacted with each other. Robyn is working as a temp as she searches for a position as an event planner. She is sent to Curtis's office where she is one of many in a long line of temps. He fires her literally seconds into the job, but she doesn't leave. He is stunned when she is still there and by what she has accomplished. Before long she is managing his time and his life, so when his life events get out of control, he looks to her for help.
Robyn agrees to his odd proposition because she has fallen in love with him. She knows he is out of her league, but a tiny kernel of hope remains. Before she even realizes it, she is in over her head and doesn't know what to do. What follows is a very entertaining read that fans of the genre will love. Is it predictable, yes, but it is so well written that you will enjoy the journey. I have added the author to my must read authors' list.
