After finishing my re-read of this first book in this series, I was eager to dive into the second book in the trilogy. I found this to be another entertaining story that hooked me quickly and held my interest until the very end. This is the second book in the Blood Brothers trilogy and I definitely feel that the trilogy should be read in order but I will take it a step further and say that it is really best to have read the Sin Brothers series before starting this trilogy since those characters play a part in the story. I am glad that I finally decided to give this book a try.

There is a killer on the loose and he has Anya in his sights. He has already killed her sister and he is not done. Anya makes a statement that taunts the killer and names Heath as her fiance. Heath and his brothers were hoping to stay hidden instead of being thrust into the spotlight. Heath and Anya join forces and they not only have to outwit the Cooper Killer but they also have to avoid Dr. Madison and her crew. The story had enough action and excitement to keep things moving and my interest level high.

I liked Anya and Heath and wanted to see things work out for them. There were times that Anya seemed rather reckless but I thought that Heath was almost always able to get things on track. I liked them as a couple and thought that the emotion between them felt very genuine. I loved the scenes that featured the rest of the brothers and loved how they are always ready to back each other up.

Karen White did a fantastic job with the narration. I love the various voices that she used for the cast of characters. It was always very easy to determine who was talking. She has a very pleasant voice and I like the way she is able to add just the right about of emotion to her reading. I do believe that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of this story.

I would recommend this book to others. I had a fantastic time with this story and enjoyed seeing all the characters work together as a team. I cannot wait to read the final book in this trilogy.

I received a digital review copy of this book from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and I purchased a copy of the audiobook.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series but I had a harder time with this one. It felt slow and drawn out which made it hard for me to really connect and get lost in the story. I skimmed a bit here and there just because I wanted to know the conclusion. There's a nice little twist at the end but by then, I'd checked out. I don't think I'll continue with the series. Thank you for the opportunity to read this book.

This was an enjoyable romantic suspense read! It definitely caught my attention and it kept the suspense going. A good mix in with the romance between Heath and Anya! Heath is totally swoonworthy and a good match for Anya.

Lethal Lies is the second book in Rebecca Zanetti's Blood Brothers series and this time we get to know Heath as he continues hunting for the serial killer mentioned in the previous book. Anya is being stalked by the killer as he keeps sends her photos of the victims, she is a profiler who has been helping the FBI try to track him but his latest victim was her sister and she is devastated. Now more determined than ever to catch the murderer she decides to taunt him by announcing her engagement to Heath in the middle of a press conference. Heath couldn't be more shocked about suddenly gaining a fiancee he's barely spoken to but the biggest problem of all is that she's just announced his name and location in the national news. It's a race against time to try and catch a killer before the enemies from his past manage to catch both Heath and his brothers.

I just completely devoured this trilogy in three days, I was totally sucked back into this world (I already read and loved the Sin Brothers books) and I couldn't seem to read these books fast enough. They're the perfect blend of action and romance and I really enjoyed getting to know Heath and Anya. I have to admit I was a little shocked by Anya's bold plan and the way she pulled Heath into it without speaking to him first but she had just walked out of her sister's funeral service and was emotionally all over the place so it was fairly easy to forgive her.

I've always loved the bond between Heath and his brothers Denver and Ryker but it's also been really interesting to catch a glimpse of the Dean brothers and their partners. Family is so important to all of them because they all had such horrendous upbringings and its really nice to see the two groups accept each other so easily. This book had less movement on the plot regarding the people from the past who are chasing the brothers but the hunt for the serial killer kept things moving and kept the tension levels high. It was interesting to see how everything is starting to tie together ready for the end of the series too, I've already read the final book and can confirm that it's a very satisfying ending.

So this was my first time reading this author and I really enjoyed this book! The plot was different and refreshing and held my attention. This is the second book in the series and even though it’s a standalone, I think it would have been better if I read the first book. It would have been nice to have more of a backstory on the brothers.

Anya is looking for the person who killed her sister and meets Heath. Heath has a lot of issues from his mother. At times I didn’t like how he constantly compared his mother to Anya. Anya was tough in her own way which I liked even though she could be a little bit annoying at times. The whole mad scientist ascept for the story and building super soldiers was intriguing. Dr. Madison was completely out of her mind and I loved her character so much.

This story was really suspenseful and the last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat. I liked Heath and Anya but I felt their relationship moved too fast for me and I didn’t feel their connection all the way. Nonetheless, I will be reading book 1 which I purchased and continuing with the rest of this series.

Rebecca Zanetti strikes again with Lethal Lies! As the second book in the Blood Brothers series. This is one of those books where I was holding my breath from beginning to end. It is full of suspense and intrigue. I can't wait for the final book in the series!

This is another new to me author this year. And I am pretty sure that I will read her other books in the future when I can. I am especially interested in continuing the series in spite of not having read the first book!

Guys, if you like intense killer mystery with a strong dash of romance, then this book is for you! The book is half suspense/mystery and half romance. I loved the mystery part actually. I really didn't make the connection till the absolute end. The starting landed me smack dab in the middle of a killer's path of destruction. From the beginning, the author had made sure to keep the reader engrossed in the story. The fast action coupled with the hot scenes between Heath and Anya made for some short hours getting lost in their tale.

Speaking of hot romance, at times, it felt out of place and unnecessary. That was one part which didn't sit well with me. Another thing was Anya herself. At times, I felt she was important to the story and at other times, she felt superfluous. But overall I think she redeemed her role. Heath was the absolute best in my opinion. I can't say enough about his character - strong and a modern day protector of the weak.

And the other best part of the story was the familial bonding among the 'brothers'. And that's another thing I am looking forward to exploring in the other books. In spite of the points noted previously, I had a few hours of fulfilling enjoyment.

I received a copy for reviewing purposes voluntarily. This doesn't impact my review in any way.

My one line review : A sexy intense killer mystery with a strong dash of romance.

My rating : 4/5

My reread factor : 3.5/5

Rebecca Zanetti writes suspense so very well - drawing you deep into the story, forcing you to ask questions and make guess and dig deeper into every detail told. On top of the suspense element, the blooming romance between Heath and Anya adds an extra level of intrigue.

Lethal Lies is book two in the Blood Brothers series, but I feel that it could stand alone, but you'll get more out of it if you read book one first.

From the first page, I was all about Heath, from the pain of his past, to his desire to right wrongs, to be the good guy delivering justice. There's still alot of underlying plot surrounding his upbringing that comes out to play in the midst of this book as well. Heath is such a good guy, he's protective, he's loyal to those he cares about, and he's determined. But he also never thought he'd find himself in the situation of falling in love.

Anya lost her sister to a mad man - and she's not going to be happy until he's caught - until she gets her revenge. Even if it means putting her own life on the line which is exactly her plan when she taunts the killer with the media's help. I loved Anya's strength and her will. I loved that she pushed hard when she had to.

As these two work together trying to find and stop the killer, secrets are revealed and the danger escalates. In addition, they are working to fight the growing feelings between them - there's an instant connection that is hard to deny even if they want to.

Lethal Lies was a fantastic blend of action, mystery, romance, and everything in between. It delivers everything I'd expect in a romantic suspense tale while also keeping me hooked on what's to come in the next book.

It was fast paced full of action, suspense , mystery and some really sexy moments. The chemistry between Anya and Heath is palpable, and the sexy time is absolutely steamy! I really enjoyed it it has everything I like in a story it just didn't make me feel excited or like I was 100% connected with the characters.

It’s been a while since I read the first book in the series and I have almost forgotten what was going on. Almost. Bastard Brothers, Sheriff Cobb and Dr. Madison, yup it’s all coming back to me. Time to lose myself in Lethal Lies.

The title. It’s just perfect because lethal is what happens. There’s a serial killer who is obsessing over Anya. When she asks for help from her sister, she readily agrees and ends up being his next victim. Now she wants revenge and the only way she’ll is to use herself as bait…that and to claim Heath is her fiancé. Heath wants to put the killer away especially since he knew the last victim. Even though he’s not too happy about what Anya’s done, he goes along with the plan. Now they have to race against the clock to catch the killer before he kills again, and before Sheriff Cobb and Dr. Madison find him and his brother again.

Anya and Heath. Sigh. Anya is very intelligent and yet has a few dumb moments. Like setting herself up as bait for a serial killer. SMH. Heath equally is smart but allows himself to be controlled by the past. Smart and not too bright decisions make these two perfect for each other. Things heat up fast between them although Heath keeps thinking himself unworthy because of the past him and his brothers are running from. I had my moments of wanting to shake both of them. Him – stop trying to be so darn protective all the time and give yourself a chance to love. Her – you just lost your sister and you jump straight into revenge-mode. Slow down just a little and mourn.

Besides what I feel are personality quirks, I enjoyed the book. There are lots of surprises along the way that build the story up in ways you can’t begin to anticipate. On the run from Sheriff Cobb and Dr. Madison while trying to catch a killer. Hmmm… I should have seen how these two could intertwine. Everything just keeps building, they mysteries get more intense and then…say what! He’s the killer! No way! I had my money on someone else the whole time. It’s great how the author had me looking somewhere else, never guessing and even when it came out the killer was, looking back, I still wouldn’t have figured it out

If you haven’t read the previous book you really should because Lethal Lies is two stories in one. The second is a carryover from the first book that involves Sheriff Cobb and Dr. Madison and why Ryder, Heath, and Denver are all on the run from them. The main focus here is the Copper Killer that is after Anya. Let me say it now, yes, they do get him and no way will you figure out who it is. Well, at least I didn’t. There’s a lot of action in this story. Running, hiding, sexing. It all goes very fast and the intensity is high. While it wasn’t as great as the first book, it still made for a good read.

This book had such an intense and intriguing storyline! Mystery and danger abound, you won’t realize you were holding your breath until you finish the book. Rebecca Zanetti definitely knows how to keep the reader engaged and flipping the pages! She captures your attention and holds you hostage until the very end. Lethal Lies is a thriller and the surprising twist and turns of the fast paced plot are absolutely riveting.

The brothers Heath, Ryker and Denver were introduced in the first book in the series, “Deadly Silence”. They grew up in difficult circumstances and forged a bond that is stronger than blood. They are private detectives with many secrets, their backstory is particularly intriguing. These characters are faced with danger coming from several directions and need to stay under the radar. They are being hunted by the person who sent them out into the world. And yet, Heath doesn’t hesitate to expose his brothers to danger by stepping into the spotlight and putting himself into the center of a serial killer investigation, to protect Anya Best. Anya is a criminal psychologist and profiler hunting the Copper Killer. As it happens, the psychopath is obsessed with her and she is convinced he will eventually come for her.

Heath has a fierce protective streak about him, and it clashes with Anya’s even fiercer independent streak. She is his only weakness, he is willing to provide her constant protection and to come with a plan to catch the killer. I loved this character, he is loyal to a fault and would die to protect those he loves. Heath and Anya’s relationship was sizzling hot and their chemistry was intense.

This book had it all : bad guys, mystery, intrigue, romance and nail-biting suspense. This exciting romantic suspense thriller starring two engaging protagonists was a real page turner. Just how everything unfolds makes it an enthralling read. As the series progresses, the reader learns more about the brothers’ heartbreaking backstory and about the bad guys working behind the scenes and their motivations. The next book will feature Denver and I can’t wait for his story!

Lethal Lies is the second book in the Blood Brothers series but it's the first one that I have read. I felt there was enough background given to read this as a standalone but I am curious at to what happens in Deadly Silence.

Anya has been getting letters from the serial killer dubbed The Copper Killer. She has no idea who he is or why he is obsessed with her but when her sister becomes his latest victim, she is determined more than ever to find out. Heath is a private eye who was working with Anya's sister on The Copper Killer case. He makes it his mission to protect Anya and avenge her sister. He has some dark secrets that could come back to haunt him. Anya makes a bold move in an attempt to taunt the killer that puts herself and Heath in danger. Will they be able to stop the killer and keep Heath's enemies at bay? Or will it end in disaster?

I really enjoyed this book and the way there are multiple story lines going at once. This is my first book by Rebecca Zanetti and I can understand why her books are so popular. I look forward to reading more of her books.

I love this series! This is the 2nd book in the Blood Brothers Series and a spin off of the Sin Brothers series (which I also love!)
This book is a continuation of the first book in this series. The story focuses on Heath and Anya's story. Once again, this story is fast paced, action packed and beyond expectation awesomely great!
All I can say is WOW!! I can't wait for book 3! I need it now!!!
Definitely will recommend this book to others!

Heath is a giant teddy bear underneath that scary gruff exterior he portrays. His past has scarred him so much that he is afraid to let any woman in for fear of hurting her. What is scary though is how he gets tunnel vision when a woman is hurt. I was glad his brothers had his back when that happened.

In this book, their maker and the sheriff are closer than ever to getting them but they have also decided to take a stand. I love that they finally want to stop the running and hiding. They are stronger than they think and together will make it and come out stronger I believe. We also get some big twists. I mean wow I didn’t expect the killer to be who it was. I kind of had a feeling but dismissed it because I just thought no but when I thought about it after finishing the book it would make sense to have it be who it was.

Anya was stronger than she looked and the focus of the killer. I loved how she pushed back at Heath and kept him on his toes. She didn’t take anything from him and that helped her become more decisive but also helped Heath see that he wasn’t one to be feared all the time. It helped him see that he wouldn’t break her but that she would keep him in line. I hated to see the secrets between them but fear is a great motivator. When the secrets came out I was thrilled to see them both be there for one another and support each other. They didn’t back away from one another. with Anya I found her action at her sister’s funeral to be filled with moxy but also dangerous. From that point on she was in more danger but also put Heath and his brothers in the crosshairs.

Watching these two skirt around one another and have such banter was entertaining. Seeing Heath work through his feelings and protect Anya was great. I also loved seeing him try to help denver. HE and his brothers are close and the love they have for each other is unique and special. It draws you into their story. As does the complexity of who they are and what is happening around them. These three have not let their past control them completely and are fighting to let it go and keep anyone else from going through what they did.

As for Heath and Anya their journey was fun and flirty. Filled with danger and intrigue. We see her grow so much and find her place. She sees what family is and wants to be a part of it. heath works through so much and comes out a better man for it and finds love. The bravery of Anya is awesome and the story of her becoming bait draws you in and keeps you glued to the story but also the way the guys take a stand to fight and come out is alluring.

A wonderful story full of danger, intrigue, twists, heated moments and love. Love of family and of soulmates is seen in this thrilling tale of suspense and twists and turns.

I am not a huge fan of romantic suspense novels and quite frankly, can do without reading them. BUT, when Rebecca Zanetti writes a novel, I know I just HAVE to read it! I am so glad to have found an author that took a genre that I could care less for and turned it into one that I am excited about!

In this novel, I felt all sorts of emotions- I felt like the romance was GREAT, I felt the action was superb, and I really enjoyed being on the adventure with the characters.

This my friends, is how all romantic suspense novels should be and I really look forward to reading more books by Rebecca Zanetti.

Wow the depravity of the villains in this series continue to astound me and make me wonder how many people there might be out in the world like this. This story is the second story in a spinoff of the Sin Brothers series that equally amazed and terrified me and when I found out to series would be coming I was the first in line to beg for an ARC. Heather brother, Ryker, was the first to find love and pull his woman into their world, But Heather story is no less amazing and certainly led to some interesting discoveries and adventures. The story begins with the unfortunate murder of Anya’s sister, an FYI agent looking into the serial kidnapper and killer that seems to have latched onto Anya. Anya never imagined when she asked her sister for help that it would come at such a steep price, or drag her into the world of not only a despicable serial killer, but would land her right in the limelight of two life-long psychos that have been experimenting of kids and destroying lives for close to thirty years. Heath has made it his mission to catch this killer and bring him to justice, but when an impulsive announcement by Anya brings them into Very close quarters his ability to resist her is demolished. Heath and his brothers have always known that bringing a woman into their world, no matter how much they desire or even love them, would be putting them right in the way of a deadly snake and he’s always refused to let that happen. Now he has no choice but to keep Anya close, in order to keep her alive, but resisting her is impossible and soon the sexy redhead steal his heart and captures his soul. Even though there were definitely moment that made me very angry at Heath, all-in-all he turns out to be just as enigmatic and sexy as his brothers , both by blood and through heart. I loved seeing Heath having to come to terms with the fact that Anya wasn’t going to let him get away with any macho bullshit or get away from her. She stood her groun, demanding her due as his lover, and ultimately that is what showed him that she was the woman for him. Once he accepts that there is no way he will be able to resist her, he quickly begins to change, from a distant and deadly killer into the sensual, sweet and unexpectedly loving man that we always knew was buried deep beneath his fears. I liked Anya, in the moments she was using her brain instead of simply reacting to circumstances , though there were certainly moments… Anya is the kind of woman that will never let anything keep her from her goals , even if it means resisting the psychos of a serial killer just to save herself. The ending of this story was beyond imaginative and I loved seeing the brothers get a little bit of payback. I am dying to find out what happens next and can only imagine just the kind of woman that will round out this trio of woman that have captured the hearts of these brothers that have never had a loving hand offered to them. Like stray dogs, resisting the comfort and safety of a new home, these brothers retain their badass tendencies, but have certainly found a way to open their hearts and minds to the love and goodness that can be found in the world if they look for it.

A high octane romantic thriller, "Lethal Lies" can give the Jason Bourne series a run for its money. Action-packed from the first page to the last, Anya Best and Heath Jones will keep you at the edge of your seat. You just can't turn the pages fast enough.

I discovered Rebecca Zanetti with her "Sin Brothers" series and since then, I have been a fan of her romantic suspense yarns. She creates three-dimensional characters that are just so good that her bad boys are so good, they are bad@$$.

Her heroes are not your Disney variety. But, they are not your normal bad boys either. Heath Jones and his brethren from Sin Brothers to Blood Brothers series are colored into so many shades of gray that they are so alive you almost wish they are real!

"Lethal Lies" runs true to form in Rebecca Zanetti's fashion. A great read wherever and whenever you are – whether poolside or seaside. I have to warn you though, don't start this before bedtime, especially if it is during the work week because you will lose sleep. You will want to finish the book in one sitting. That's how good it is.

"Lethal Lies" is Rated M for Mature due to violence and sexual content.

Yet another heart pounding, smart, sexy book in the series! I loved the relationship Heath and Anya created. Loved that the Copper Killer was found. Love the spinoff on the SIN Brothers. I can't get enough of these characters. And can't wait for Denver's full story!
