3 - "Blood brothers for life." Stars.

Rebecca Zanetti returns to the Blood Brothers series, with book two; Lethal Lies giving us Heath Jones’ story.

He was more than aware of his trigger points, and she hit them all.

This story literally picked up where its predecessor Deadly Silence left off, and as with this series and its predecessor (Sin Brothers) there are always two stories playing out, the bigger one regarding the boys upbringing, and the people involved in that, and the individual brother meeting and then getting together with his woman, around a secondary plot. For me this book is the weakest I have ever read from this author in all aspects(and I have read everything).

"You and me, it was real, and I’m not letting you be another fuckin’ failure in my life."

I will be honest, if this hadn’t been written by Rebecca, I would have likely DNF’d it around the halfway mark. Reason being absolutely nothing of note or real relevance had happened in the bigger picture or between Heath and Anya by that point. The focus on the serial killer and Heath’s mommy issues pretty much killed the extremely tenuous connection between them, and whereas I expect growly, alpha male versus confident, sassy female, both characters seemed to be lacking in all of those attributes in this one.

"I’ll do this with or without you."

The book in general felt too long, especially when you take into account that the bigger part of the story with Cobb and Madison has pretty much not moved at all by the end of it, what is a 400 page book for me could have easily been edited down to 250 pages without losing what was going on, but making the pace a little more digestible.

"It’s time to stop running. We’re ready."

Another gripe, was the lack of sexy-times, this is an author who excels at building the heat and tension between her couples, but nothing really happened until the second half, and I think due to the lack of any real chemistry between the pair, what did occur just felt a little pedestrian to me and almost disconnected to the rest of the story between them.

"Somethings coming and soon."

On the plus, the banter between the brothers seemed to be the only thing that was of the usual high standard, but the author needs to make sure that Denver’s book Twisted Truths, when it’s released in November finally ties up everything that has been going on since the beginning of the Sin Brothers series, and tie off everything that has been happening with all the characters that have hitched onto the wagon along the way.

I don’t think this is a series that has the legs to carry it on for as long as the authors Dark Protectors books (best series ever!). I am at that point where, as much as I love these characters (despite my disappointment this time) that they have all earned a well-earned rest, once Madison and Cobb have had their arses royally kicked of course!

lethal lies picks up where deadly silence left off, with heath, ryker, and denver are still on the run from cobb and madison and they're still searching for the copper killer and keeping their heads above water.

anya best is at the center of the copper killer case. her fbi agent, loretta, dies trying to solve the case. she's got a background in criminal psychology and knows just how to push his buttons. and so when she announces that she's engaged to heath and the new location of his p.i. agency—conveniently close to the killer's latest attacks—on national television, well, she has a plan.

anya pushes all of heath's triggers, or really the one, woman in danger. he can't stay away from her and she's right that she is the key to cracking the copper killer case. but as heath and his brother's dangerous past begins to close in on them and things with the copper killer escalate, the tension hits a breaking point—and all hell breaks loose.

but the one thing that heath can focus on is keeping anya safe. she's gotten so far under his skin that there's no chance this fake relationship isn't becoming something real. even if it is insanity to connect with someone so viscerally when the world around them is blowing apart and coming together in the most horrific way.

what anya and heath go through will leave physical and psychological scars, but in each other they find safe haven. their moments of connection might be the calm in the eye of the storm, but those moments are powerful, meaningful, life-changing.

everything they endure leads up to what will be the thrilling conclusion to this series, twisted truths. i for one can't wait.

Lethal Lies is another fast paced story from Zanetti. Continuing the Lost Boys’ stories as a spin-off from the Sin Brothers, this moves the series arch along while giving great focus to one couple. I was pulled quickly back into the world as if I had never left it.

Anya Best didn’t know how she was targeted, but the Copper Killer seems to be stalking her. A stunt to lure the killer puts her in the middle of a power struggle between the FBI and the Lost Boys Detective Agency.

Anya was a little on the rash side, but her actions were always driven by her need to find the Copper Killer. Though she often acted quickly and against the word of Heath or the FBI, she understood the mind she was trying to lure, even if she didn’t know the identity of the man.

Heath hadn’t planned on being quite so personally involved in the Copper Killer case, nor did he appreciate the publicity Anya’s stunt brought to him and his brothers. He has always been a protector, looking out for those who couldn’t. The target Anya has painted on her own back, as well as unknowingly on the backs of all three brothers, has him itching to keep everyone around him safe.

Anya and Heath fell a little fast with their intense emotions, but both have reasons for not wanting anything serious. They do a good job of attempting to slow things down, but with the ruse they have to pull off, they can’t keep things detatched even behind closed doors.

It was as much the plot that kept me turning pages here as it was the main couple themselves. There is so much development, from the Copper Killer case to avoiding Dr. Madison and her lackeys, that something is always happening. Even when it appears to be smooth sailing, there are pieces being moved that become clear later.

I love these brothers each time I get to visit their world. The epilogue and last few chapters have me anticipating Denver’s book and the danger that still faces the brothers and the women they love.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book in this series about blood brothers, Ryker, Heath, and Denver. The three guys run The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency together. In the first book, readers were introduced to the three guys and got to know Ryker. In this story it is Heath's turn. Heath is one of those damaged souls that some women are into and think they can save. Yet, Heath comes off as cool and collected. Well, he did before Anya was in the picture. I appreciated the fact that Heath and Anya did not fall into bed instantly. So, when they did it was real. Their romance did not take over the story.

Speaking of the story. It started out great. However, the focus shifted away from the Copper Killer to Anya and Heath. I am complaining some as it seemed a long time until the focus was back on the Copper Killer, which was supposed to be the main focus of this story. To make up for this instead I got to know more about the evil, Dr. Isobel Madison. The doctor who created the brothers to be super soldiers. The guys have been trying to track down Dr. Madison and stop her. I am a fan of this series. There is nothing "lethal" about this book, other then, losing a few hours getting lost in a good story with great characters and this is no "lie"!

This is a spoiler-free review. Therefore, some plot points will be glossed over so they aren't ruined for you.

The Copper River Killer

Heath Jones, one of the genetically enhanced Blood Brothers and a private detective, has a personal stake in the Copper River Killer case. Loretta, an FBI agent he consulted with on the case, is taken by the Killer. He's determined to find her before it's too late.

He's too late.

Anya Best, Loretta's sister, is the real focus of the Killer. He's been taking women who look like her, but he's always disappointed when they aren't her. He tortures and kills them ritualistically.

Setting a Trap

After the death of her sister, Anya feels responsible. She sets herself up as bait. To further enrage the killer, she announces that she's engaged to Heath, who she barely knows. In doing so, she exposes Heath to those from his past who are after HIM.

It's no secret that in this series Sheriff Cobb is after the Blood Brothers. He wants revenge for the death of his brother, whom the brothers killed in self defense. Isobel Madison, who created the brothers in test tubes, wants them for breeding. Cobb and Madison are working together. Madison sends one of her super soldiers after Heath and the brothers.

The brothers stand together, and assist Anya and Heath in drawing out the killer. But time is running out. They're exposed and need to run. And it's time for the Killer to take another woman.

Suspense and Surprise

LETHAL LIES is full of suspense and mystery. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. A few will guess the identity of the Killer, but very few will put together all the pieces of the puzzle. Zanetti's plot is brilliant.

The Brothers

For those of you who read DEADLY SILENCE, we get to see a lot of Ryker and Zara in this book. The youngest brother, Denver, is sliding down hill. Your heart will ache for him.

I highly recommend LETHAL LIES. If you haven't started this series, then I suggest you start with the excellent Sin Brothers series, which leads into the Blood Brothers. The first book is FORGOTTEN SINS.

Enjoy!

I enjoyed this book. There were times I thought some of the things going on detracted a little from the romance of the story, but if you have read any of these books, you kind of know that going into them, so I was not surprised.

The tension, but the romantic/sexual tension with Anya and Heath and the tension brought on by the serial killer and the secret Heath is keeping all blend really well. And, make this a tough review to write without spoilers. Heck, explaining why I can't review without spoilers is dangerously close to a spoiler.

If you have read others in the series, you have an idea what is going on. If you haven't, I think you get enough of an idea to be able to follow along without being lost.

The book is well constructed and well written. The characters, even the ones who shouldn't be, are realistic and you believe them and the things that happen to them. The pacing is mostly good, with the aforementioned slight issues with the balance of the romance and the action. I am going to keep this short as anything else would just be full of spoilers.

I recommend this book overall.

4.25 Hearts Can I say enough good things about Rebecca Zanetti and her books? Probably not. But I will try. Lethal Lies is another wonderful novel by Zanetti. This is Heath’s story. We met Heath in the first book as one of the Blood Brothers/Lost Boys. Heath is smart and handsome but more so he is all about his brothers and finding the Copper Killer (also from book 1). That is until he meets Anya.

Anya is the main focus of the Copper Killer but we do not know what why. But when the sister of Anya is caught by the Cooper Killer the two begin to work together and Heath is going to protector no matter what. But Anya has other plans. Like using herself as bait.

I enjoyed Anya very much. She is strong and even though she gets scared she pushes forward. She is going to find this serial killer no matter what. Heath is, well, like all of Zanetti’s men. HOT but also sweet and loving.

I really enjoy the bro-mance these blood brothers have. I really can’t wait for Denver’s story!!! And hope the series continues (or branches off) to include the Grey Brothers.

No book by Zanetti should be missed but this series (as well as many others) is one that you do not want to miss. It is worth every page. However, I will say you do need to read book 1 before reading this story.

I am so disappointed that I didn't like this book more than I did. The primary reason for that is its placement within the overarching storyline. It's the middle book of a series, trying to do too much for its own series and still include aspects of the wider world. It's also very true to life: trying to catch a serial killer is slow, tedious work with long periods of time where nothing happens punctuated by sharp burst of violence and activity. Lethal Lies follows this pattern.

Heath and Anya drove me crazy and I wondered in the end why and whether they were really in love. Caught between emotional landmines, it makes sense that they become bonded. But this bonded? It felt like there was a lot less tying them together than there was for Ryder and Zara and clearly less than Denver and Noni.

The competing plotlines of the Copper Killer and Dr. Madison/Sheriff Cobb upped the tension but also the frustration. It's time to put Madison and Cobb to bed. For me, I'm tired of them now, especially Madison. Too long with a specific tension and it stops being a credible plotline. (It reminds me of the whole endless "keep them apart plot twists in Dark Angel. It gets tiresome.)

So what did I actually like about this book? The sense that I know all three of Ryker, Heath, and Denver better. There was a lot of set up for Denver's book and I am ready for it! I liked that the story was true to life with the long lags in action (despite it being frustrating). But most especially, I loved the villain. I absolutely love it when an author writes a good villain and Zanetti writes an absolutely amazing one! I'd recommend this book as required reading just to see how a villain should be written. The villain was my favorite character.

In the end, this book just wasn't doing it for me. But I am seriously excited for Denver's story later this year and I loved the villain.

Anya Best is being stalked by a serial killer. Taunting her with pictures of his murders, she is struck by the similarity between his victims and herself. Asking for help from her FBI Agent sister only got Loretta killed as well, and Anya is out for justice! Playing the media, Anya sends a direct message to the killer.

“I’m tired of your game and am getting bored. In fact, I’m recently engaged to a real man, unlike you. My fiancé is Heath Jones of Lost Bastards Investigative Services….You don’t like anyone in law enforcement, right? I’m marrying a guy who chases down jerks like you.”

With that challenge made, Heath, only peripherally involved before, suddenly has a fiancé, and the added danger that his past may have seen Anya’s announcement on the news giving away his location. He needs to catch this killer before time runs out.

I loved that Anya was not a weak heroine. She fought all of her instincts to run away in order to get her revenge against the man who killed her sister. In the bargain, she got a hot commando alpha male who’s first instinct was to protect what was now his and make her his own. I thought Heath got the short end of the stick with Anya who was determined to use herself as bait. This book was a fun quick read and the characters were easy to root for.

The underlying sub plot that runs through both the Sin Brothers series as well as this offshoot has still to reach its conclusion. In case you aren’t familiar with these books, all of the heroes in these novels have been biologically engineered with various super abilities. Heath’s is the ability to move really quickly that gives him an edge during a fight. All of the brothers also have enhanced hearing and sight. Abilities that the doctor who created them wants to breed into a new set of super soldiers. Needless to say, we have a lot of evil running around loose and these brothers have some hard work in front of them.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review, and it was honest!

Lethal Lies is the second book in Rebecca Zanetti's Sin Brothers spinoff series. Following genetically engineered Blood Brothers Ryker, Heath, and Denver as they seek to put a stop to the maniacal doctor that created them and who will also stop at nothing to get the brothers back in order to continue her research.

This time around Heath takes center stage after Ryker's book Deadly Silence. Lethal Lies puts more emphasis on the serial killer case, the Copper Killer, that readers were introduced to in the first book. I was happy that the book took this direction because it was kind of over-shadowed in the first book, and I was wondering what the point was in even bringing it up. Well, with book two my wonderings are all but satisfied.

Anya Best is a criminal psychologist and has been receiving threats from the Copper Killer for months. Her older sister Loretta, an FBI agent, was a recent victim of the Copper Killer's. Since Heath had been working closely with Loretta, he feels the weight of her death almost as much as Anya, and it brings them together with a common goal. Albeit, not completely on the same page of the goal, but a common one nonetheless to see justice served.

Sparks quickly fly between Heath and Anya, regardless of Anya putting herself right in the killer's sights, and Heath knowing that he and his brother's are still on the run from the Doctor. But Heath will do what he must to protect Anya now, and worry about the future, if they have one, later.

I enjoyed the set-up of this second book more than the first book. I think it goes with being more familiar with the characters. I hadn't read the original series of which this one is spun-off from, but that didn't really hinder my knowledge or understanding of the Blood Brothers series.

As I said I was happy that the Copper Killer case took precedence this time around. Although don't think that the issues the brother's have with Dr. Madison and Sheriff Cobb are off the table. Nope, Rebecca Zanetti does a good job of keeping those two in the thick of things, but also taking the time to take care of the main storyline since I'm assuming with Denver's book (final in this trilogy) we'll finally see the conclusion with the Doctor and Sheriff.

With that said, however, I wasn't entirely on board with how everything plays out with the Copper Killer. All the twists and connections involved just didn't seem entirely plausible. Without giving anything away, they felt like they, at times, came out of nowhere just to satisfy where the story was going instead of building the story up around the specifics of the serial murderer case.

I was also a little put off by the insta-love that happens between Heath and Anya. Anya pretty much starts having romantic inclinations for Heath right after her sister's funeral. I would have placed no fault with anyone if it was decided for Anya to grieve a little before thinking about what Heath is like in bed. Other than that, as they build upon their feelings for one another, there are some great moments that solidified them as a couple.

I thought, for the most part, Anya was a strong and determined heroine. She challenges Heath when the time is right, but I also felt like, besides that initial challenge issued to the Copper Killer, she really does understand when to tone things down for her own safety.

Besides some clunky aspects to the plot I ended up enjoying Lethal Lies more than the first book. There's also a lot of build up for Denver's story, which I'm extremely looking forward to since so far we've only gotten bits and pieces of his story.

DNF due to poor overall pacing and character development.

What a great read. Rebecca created a hero with a heart of gold and mind for revenge. Heath will leave your heart pattering on both counts. Anya is Heath's love interest. And interested he is. He can't seem to say no and can't seem to keep her out of trouble. And if you know any of Rebecca's heros you know that is just a recipe for love. We have one more brother before we see an end to this series. I am not looking forward to saying goodbye to our Blood Brothers. But then again I can't wait to read about our elusive Denver.

3 Reasons why I did not like Lethal Lies
1. Anya – I never go into a book to hate it. I read Zanetti before and really enjoyed her other series. I could not stand Anya. I downright hated her. I just could not stand her character. There is a serial killer on the loose and apparently killing red heads and somehow it’s connected to Anya and he is doing it because of her.
When Anya meets Heath for the first time, she is being shot at. So after almost getting killed because of him. What does she do? She makes it publicly known that she is engaged to him so the serial killer comes after her out of jealousy. She does all of this at her sister’s funeral.
Ah two things here. 1. She didn’t know the man enough to make that kind of judgment. 2. She met him and almost died, thanks to him. 3. It’s her sister’s funeral and the girl keeps thinking about getting into his pants.
Lot’s of poor life choices there Anya.
I found her reckless, desperate and lacking direction. She gets Heath involved in this serial killer thing, puts him out there without even knowing the man and then thinks she can take control of the situation. She didn’t even really feel like she had a solid plan going into this.

2. The Romance – I had a problem with it. Because 1. It felt to insta-love for me and 2. It probably should have never happened.
The way they met and the set up, I just felt like it was really stupid of her. Like I said, she didn’t know the guy, she almost got killed because of the guy, and it was frustrating.
It didn’t help that Heath’s temper should have really made her run for the hills.
When her ex boyfriend stalks her to the place they were going. Heath literally beats him to an inch of his life due to blind rage. This guy, despite being stupid, did not stand a chance against Heath and his super genetics.
So Anya just stands there, watches as Heath beats the living life out of her ex who is a professor and probably never lifted a fist in this life and after, she just tells Heath she understands.
Like it’s not worth it, and to top it off Heath got away with it and Anya was like oh wow.. But okay, I understand. Really? Come on, Really?

3. The plot – soooo slow.It felt like it was never going to end. It just felt stale at times. It didn’t help that I did not like the main character or the relationship. I think it just made it worse. It took me almost a month to finish this book. I was just 5 days short of a month. I kept thinking maybe it’s just my mood? So I put it down and pick it up a week to a few days later and still nope.
So finally I just had 20% left and battled through it. It kind of hurt to do it. But I did it, and now I can move on.

There was a light at the end of the tunnel. I found that I really liked Denver. But the end of the book has me worried that it’s going to be another case of reckless female that puts everyone including herself in danger. Still, thinking about reading his story.

Anya is being tormented by a serial killer who contacts her after each kill. Terrified, she calls her sister who is in the FBI for help. When her sister is taken by the Copper Killer, Anya has to resort to desperate measures to get her back, including claiming Heath is her fiancé. Heath is a PI who has people after him too but can't say no to Anya. His past is catching up with him and now Anya is involved. Great romantic suspense in this action packed novel!

LETHAL LIES by Rebecca Zanetti is the second book in the Blood Brothers series, a spinoff of her wildly popular Sin Brothers series. While I have yet to read the Sin Brothers series, the Blood Brothers series combines, suspense, romance, a current case and a little sci-fi to feed my inner nerd.

Heath Jones, a private investigator with the Lost Bastards Investigative Agency, has been working a case involving the Cooper Killer. Anya Best crosses paths with Heath when thugs claiming to be Marshalls show up on her sister's doorstep. Heath ends up saving her, but also revealing that her sister has been taken by the Cooper Killer. When her sister ends up dead, she taunts the killer and exposes Heath. Now he and his brothers are in danger, but that won't stop him from protecting her.

Dark, gritty and intense Zanetti wove a tale that hooks the reader. Both Heath and Anya have baggage but are drawn to each other, and I enjoyed their chemistry. Both are smart, strong, and determined. It was interesting watching them butt heads and begin to work together. I struggled a little with the romantic connection early on, but as the author peeled back their layers and exposed them their emotions felt genuine. I loved that despite Heath being a bit of a knucklehead we avoided a lot of unnecessary drama.

The Cooper case has exposed them to the Sheriff, and Dr. Isobel Madison, the women who genetically altered them. I thoroughly enjoyed how the two suspense threads were woven together. There were plenty of twists in the Cooper Killer case. Zanetti delivered heartstopping moments and plenty of action.

LETHAL LIES offered us more details about the brothers past, their biological parents and more. We get a few updates from the Sin Brothers which only further enticed me to start that series.

Ms. Zanetti has done it again with a good solid story. Excellent dialogue and writing.

Romantic suspense is a genre I read a lot of, and after finishing this book, which is the first story I've read by Ms. Zanetti and a story that totally blew me away with its incredible array of characters and well-written dialogue; dialogue that was full of intensity and ominous moments that had me wondering whether Anya and Heath would win against all that they face, I can't wait to read the next book of this series due to how this story ended. However, let's not think about Denver's story yet, and instead, get to talking about this one, which had me intrigued from the prologue. As Heath has a very interesting back story that has made him and his two friends -- Ryker and Denver -- targets by the people that want them back because of how extraordinary they are.

Both the main characters had me enthralled, as Anya provides a real challenge for Heath. Since she won't back down and agree to what he wants her to do when it comes to her safety, and instead, will do whatever it takes to make certain her sister's killer is stopped. Seriously, Anya is strong and brave by what she does to get the killer's attention, even though it shows she's quite reckless as well. Then again, grief can make a person do things they wouldn't normally do and not worry about the consequences; consequences that put Heath and his friends in more danger than they're already in. Furthermore, I couldn't help but sympathize with the heroine's situation. She turned to the one person she knew could help her, and now she feels guilty for what happened. How could she not, knowing what the serial killer did? So, I could understand why she was so driven to right the wrong.

While Heath, he and his friends have an interesting skill set that comes in handy when dealing with the kind of cases they deal with, especially going after a serial killer that will do anything to get what he wants. Including killing those in the way of him achieving his objective and causing as much destruction as possible, which is proven towards the end. Moreover, I liked the bond the hero shared with Denver and Ryker. They might not be related by blood, but they consider themselves blood brothers and would do anything for each other, no matter how high the risk. Can they together find the person they're looking for, especially with their heightened senses and being so tech-savvy? But what I liked most of all about the hero was how protective he was of Anya and how far he was willing to go to keep her safe. No way was he going to allow anyone to take Anya away from him.

Overall, Ms. Zanetti has penned an incredible read in this book that delves a tiny bit into the paranormal world because Heath, Ryker and Denver were genetically engineered and can be classified as 'super soldiers', if they were still under the rule of those that want them back or are determined to see them dead. How will things turn out? Will those that want them use any means necessary to get at Heath and his friends? The way this story ended had me flabbergasted because of what the serial killer did to achieve his endgame, but left me completely content with how things ended up between Heath and Anya. No way were they going to let Heath's past and the trouble he and his friends are facing keep them from having a future together. I would recommend Lethal Lies by Rebecca Zanetti, if you enjoy romantic suspense, the sexy protector trope, a story with a touch of paranormal weaved into it, or books by authors Kaylea Cross, Katie Reus, or Christine Feehan.

Review will be posted on the blog during release month.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 1/2
As we learned from Deadly Silence (book 1) that Heath, Ryker and Denver are on the run from their past. A past that is slowly but surely catching up with them. In Lethal Lies (book 2) that past comes a knocking on their door.
We learn a lot more about the Blood Brother’s past life and the people after them. We also get a few glimpses of the Sin Brothers, which I hope means we will see them again really soon. I enjoyed Heath’s story. While his past is heartbreaking he is the sweetest of all three of the guys. What tough guy saves a little bird :). I enjoyed Anya also. She is tough and smart.
I am looking forward to Denver’s book. I do believe that his book is going to be a doozy. I hope that we will get the big show down between the Blood Brothers, the Sheriff and the Doc. Because the Sheriff and the Doc really need to go!!!

If like myself you followed this authors Sin Brothers series then this off shoot will be a must read for you. It's fun to see the differences between these genetically modified guys but it's also intruiging just how alike they can be. Suspense is the name of the game here with more than a healthy dose of romance but the author has cunningly woven her story in such a way that she keeps you guessing . Readers who've followed this storyline know full well that there's a reason why Heath and his brothers keep a low profile and it's a very real threat that's never too far away. Yet here we see Heath pulled out into the open and exposed by Anya, a woman determined to find a killer. The so called Copper Killer has hurt Anya in the most truly evil way and she's through being sweet and is ready to do whatever it takes to bring him down even if that means setting herself up as bait !
We actually have a plot within a plot here that twists with a red herring. You won't quite believe how the author has joined the dots as she smoothly blends the past of these characters with the harsh reality of a serial killer on the rampage. It makes for a slow burn story that kept me turning the pages just knowing that when the action came it would be shocking.
Characters? Hmm I did like Heath but he at times felt a little too quick to react and given his childhood there are reasons for his uber protective stance but I was conflicted as to whether he was quite as fleshed out as previous characters. I loved him with his brothers but his intense feelings towards Anya just didn't quite gel for me . Perhaps he just wasn't alpha enough for me ?
Anya seemed like a mixed personality at times. Intelligent, coping with being alone , vengeful and yet I wanted to shake her. If I'd just lost people close to me I'm not sure I'd be moving on so quickly. Her life has been turned upside down and yet she just casts googly eyes at Heath, challenging him at every opportunity. Yes he's big, bad and hot but I just didn't understand her attitude although I freely admit that grief can make people react in the strangest ways.
I'm guessing that you've realised this isn't my favourite book in the series but I can reassure you that the Copper Killer gets caught so the next book is about to go in a whole new direction . Those who work in the shadows are getting ever closer to recapturing their 'soldiers' and yes these total psychos actually enriched this story . So the romance wasn't my favourite but it's fun catching up with the myriad of characters that connect to bring these books to life. Denvers book is up next and I strongly suspect that it's going to be a battle royale and I say bring it on!
This book was provided for me with no requirement to review . I've voluntarily read it and I believe my thoughts and comments are a fair expression of my opinion
