Pelë aka "O Rei" (The King) was born into poverty in Brazil , despite his humble beginnings he became a celebrated international soccer star and this book tells his story.
For any soccer fan this will be a great read, in fact the author obviously knows its target market by publishing the book as a graphic novel .
In the rear of the book are some photographs of Pelë when he was playing soccer and a more recent photo.
The book is set up into chapters which I haven't seen before in a graphic novel.
I like the quotes from Pelë throughout the book, some of them are very inspirational.
Overall I think it will be a good read for those that enjoy soccer and enjoy reading about it.
