Michael and a cop saved Anthony’s son. Michael and Terra are now engaged Terra’s father is a Mafia boss. Terra has not told michael her real last name or who her father is. Michael hasn’t told her what he does for a job. Now she is going to have to tell him and her father about Michael. Terra father is Anthony Agrioli and Terra is a Mafia Princess. Terra’s father had quickly swept Michael into the Mafia’s world and starts Michael in the ranks.Michael’s instincts and decisions make Anthony take notice of him. Michael is running an operation when the deal goes sour and is a setup. A body is disposed of but then discovered and wasa ATF Agent. Things get complicated than. Than there is a criminal investigation for Anthony Agrioli and he is arrested. Anthony makes the decisions but doesn’t dirty his hands Hids men have the blood on their hands. Terra finds out more things about her dad, some good and others not so much. When there are complications in the business Michael has to handle them. There is at least one rat in the crime family and the rat must be found and taken care of. Michael originally wanted nothing to do with the Mafia and ends up one of their assets. Terra had tried to deny the Mafia crime family but she can’t anymore.
Even though Michael is the newest member of the crime family Michael takes charge when it is known there is more than one rat in the crime family. Michael always wanted a family and now he has one even if it is a Mafia family. Michael will do whatever he has to and find the rats.
I really enjoyed this book. I advise you to read the fist book in this series for the background you need and a smoother read. I loved the suspense, intrigue and danger. I really enjoyed the the plot and pace. I didn’t want to put this down. I choked up at times while reading this book. I liked the duel POVs. The author did a good job portraying the violence in Mafia life as well as the life itself. This had some very sexy times in it. This got my attention in the start and held it until the end. I wish I could have rated this 4.5. I loved the characters and the twists and turns of this book and I recommend it.
Darn you Hildreth! When is the next one coming out? I need it now!
Adore that Hildreth picked up where he left off in the previous book. Terra and Michael are great together and are so adorable. Reading how deep Michael was getting into the family business was an eye opener. I liked that Cap and Michael friendship stayed strong through out the book. It was adorable watching Michael help plan the wedding with Terra.
The Game Changer is the explosive second book in the Mafia Made Series. Tripp and Terra are back, and when this hotshot Marine and the ultimate Mafia Princess get together sparks are sure to fly!
The Game Changer picks up directly after The Gun Runner. Tripp has proposed to Terra and before they can make their way down the aisle Terra must come clean with Tripp about her family. As a Mafia Princess, her connections are sure to complicate this blossoming romance. When the truth is revealed, will Michael remain by her side?
When the truth is revealed, Michael is forgiving and willing to give Terra a second chance. As Michael is drawn closer to Terra and her family, he is quickly swept into the Mafia World. His father-in-law (to be) begins to place Michael in the ranks and when complications with the business mount, Michael is forced to step up and deliver. Between planning a wedding and battling their enemies, Michael and Terra are forced to hold on tight for the ride of their lives.
Told in dual POV, The Game Changer offers a perfect blend of action, romance, and tenderness delivered with a heavy dose of delicious dirtiness. The plot is full of suspense, intrigue, and complex relationships. The romance element is off the charts as Terra and Michael grow even more closely together in this installment of the series. In true Hildreth style, the dialogue is unique, witty, and full of smutty goodness!
Overall, I highly recommend this entire series to any Mafia Romance fans. Michael Tripp is simply addictive, and I am anxiously awaiting his return in The Good Boss.
Scott is an amazing author and this book is really no different though I did struggle a little more with the happenings in this book. where I waited in book one for things to blow up in their face, it felt like in book 2 things were totally opposite of what I expected at the end of book one. I enjoyed this book, but couldn't help feeling like Terra was clueless and Michael had given up on his morals some to simply make a life with her.
This was absolutely fantastic and the perfect sequel to book one. It had the perfect amount of steam and grit. I look forward to more from this author.
Thank you Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book.
As a follow up, it starts right where book one left off. This is good. There is actually a lot of fun to this story, but sadly, I was really irritated with much of the plot this time around.
Couple of things that really stand out...
The lack of awareness that Terra has. She's so in the dark, I find it difficult to believe. She's incredibly naive. And speaking of in the dark, her father, the mob boss? Well, he apparently hasn't got a clue what to do when getting arrested and really doesn't know what kind of things he could face. There are some very basic legal issues that he should be aware of and isn't, also leading me to question his intelligence.
And then there's this super charged need of Michael's to be part of the family now. I didn't feel his need for this in book one. Yea, he wanted to make a family with Terra, but now that he knows who she is, it's like a total change of mind. Where he had originally not wanted to be part of the mob, a get in do some work and get out attitude, it's all different now.
Then there is the whole issue with Terra's friend. OMG. More lying to the boyfriends... or omitting the truth and important facts. Now Michelle and Cap will have a huge issue going forward because what happens in this book is seriously messed up.
There's a lot wrong with this... and yet I can't look away. I know it seems like I have more problems with this than not. BUT, I still need to know what happens. Things have gone from intense to uber intense. I don't know where this is going, but I certainly didn't think I'd hold sympathy for a mom family. And I totally do. Maybe it's that they really didn't seem to be doing things that are all that bad... in the whole spectrum of bad things. I don't know. I do know that I'll be on board for the next book.

You have to read the book one to really understand what is happening in book 2. This series isn't really a stand alone and while the author does a good job of catching readers up the best he can you will get lost.
Scott Hildreth was able to effortlessly transitioned from The Gun Runner to this story to The Game Changers keeping his readers from the first novel hooked
The author created a story that feels real that it sucks the reader in keeping him hooked. His ability to create such a strong bond between characters where the reader will feel as if they are part of the family. While they are family readers will question their loyalty and if the character is betrayal the readers feels betrayed.
Scott Hildreth is able to create complete characters overs time while keeping the story moving creating a very captive read that readers will not want to put down.
When you finish this book #2 you will wish book 3 was out already.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy
Here's the thing, I absolutely loved The Gun Runner, I mean love it. This one, well it was a bit flat for me. I can not pinpoint exactly why, but something was just missing. I still love the characters Tripp and Terra are very much in love still and things on that front are goi g great. When tTerra does end up telling Tripp the truth about who she is, we get to see he dominat side of him, and I did love that. I wish we saw more of that. There was really not long drawn out mystery, drama was resolved quickly and rather easily. Maybe that was part of my issue, it was all figured out pretty quick and for a mob family it see,s to me that would be an issue.
I will read the next book as I am a fan of this series, I just want more for SD Hildreth.
I love reading fictional mob stories, have since being a child, this is a good one.
Tripp and Terra are engaged to be married and she has finally told her father. He has accepted Tripp as a member of the family in both ways. Tripp has always wanted a family and has finally gotten one of his own. But the road will not be easy.
I gave this a three star because I saw what was coming from early on in the story. I didn't see what was coming at the very end though.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The Game Changer is the second book in Scott Hildreth’s Mafia Made series. You definitely need to read the first book, The Gun Runner, before you read this one. It is by far one of my favorite books/series and Scott Hildreth has become one of my favorite authors. The writing style is so easy to follow and the characters are intriguing. Throw in the mafia along with some mind-blowing sex scenes and what else could you possibly need.
The Game Changer continues the unlikely love story between Mafia Princess Terra Agrioli and Gun Runner Michael Tripp. A lot of things happened in the first book including the engagement of Terra and Michael. This second book picks up with Michael now working with mafia boss Anthony Agrioli but still not knowing that his future wife is Anthony’s daughter because that’s a secret that Terra continues to keep. A couple of mafia related deaths and Terra’s confession about her true identity truly change the lives of Michael, Terra, and Anthony Agrioli. Without giving too much away, let’s just say that a criminal investigation into Agrioli has some unexpected consequences including the exposure of a rat inside the Agrioli crime family. Michael’s actions as a result of these revelations put him in an interesting position with Agrioli. He comes from not wanting to have anything to do with the mafia to becoming one of their most trusted assets. His instincts and dedication makes The Boss take notice and disregard the fact that Michael is not who he would have chosen as a son-in-law. On the other hand, these events also force Terra to take a different look at the mafia family that she has long tried to deny exists.
It was great to watch how both Michael and Terra began to embrace what it means to be a part of the mafia. Michael’s confidence and sense of loyalty is commendable. He truly goes all in and doesn’t hesitate to do what’s necessary to protect The Family. In addition, he is relentless in his quest for both vengeance and mafia justice. I was amazed by some of the things that happened because of information being withheld. I also gained a lot of respect for Terra as she began to realize that by turning a blind eye to her father’s organization while benefitting from its perks made her a hypocrite. Terra truly grew into a woman as the book progressed. Oddly enough, through a few tragedies and missteps, the Agrioli crime family actually grew stronger and closer. I could go on and on about everything that I liked about this book but I’d just end up giving everything away. In short, it’s well worth the read. I look forward to reading the third book in this series, The Good Boss, and I will have to read other books by Scott Hildreth to see if they can hold a candle to this series.
After reading the first book The Gun Runner I waited not so patiently for this book. The characters in the first book get you hooked and weirdly addicted to their personalities and into the story, so I was anxiously awaiting this release.
It's going to be so hard to accurately review the story without giving too much of book one away. You have got to read book 1 to fully understand this second book to the series.
Micheal Tripp was totally an amazing hero! He was slightly different in this book but not in a bad way. We just get a different looks at him. There were so many times my heart burst with joy for him because of all that he gets in this book.
Terra finally comes clean and my heart broke for her and all the crap she has to deal with in this book. She is a good person deep down, even if I'm book 1 she was misguided.
I loved Cap in this book. He make a huge impression on me. He was still a foul mouthed man, but sometimes he was so right and had some pretty amazing things to say. I would love to see him get some type of a book.
This one started of with action and blood and I couldn't be happier! We get more twists and turns and truths that come out. In book 1 we know exactly what was going on with Terra and with the ending of the first book we needed to know. I will say that I was very pleasantly surprised at the turns that the author made for these characters.
Overall, this was another amazing book and I can't wait for the next one!!!! Twists and turns left me with my jaw dropped and tears in my eyes, I need more!!!! But I'm the end this was an amazing follow up to book 1, with another to follow! 5 stars #2OCCJD
Please do NOT read this review & this book if you haven't read book #1 yet!!
We basically start where we left Terra & Michael in book #1.
Michael just proposed and both couldn't be happier...BUT....
A few buts are standing between them and their Happy End!
First of all Terra needs to confess to Michaelwho her father is.
And of course Michael's and her father's dangerous and illegal business dealings are also a topic of discussion.
And all through the fighting and the making up and the dangerous life... Terra and her mom have a wedding to plan!
With some secrets still left to uncover, lots of danger, and LOTS of sexy time.....
Terra and Michael still have a LONG way to go until they can ride off into their Happily Ever After Sunset!
What will happen with Terra & Michael?
Will there be a HEA?
Will everybody survive this booK??
Or will there be a horrible Cliffy?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺

YES! We're finally back with Michael & Terra!
I ususally have to do a re-read when the second book in a series comes out, but I didn't have the time, so I just read my review of book #1 and the last pages of the book again... I'm not sure if you should read this book if you haven't read the first one... you could if you really had to, but why should you? ☺
I'm not a fan of mafia books and I don't like my hero killing people while doing illegal business, but I guess that's what you get for reading a mafia romance! ☺
And I really liked it!
It's very adorable and suspensy and slighty eww here and there ☺ and mysterious and moving and very erotic!
I really enjoyed the book. I was a great romantic suspense story. You can't stop reading - you just have to know how the two of them will overcome all those problems...
Only...we won't know how their story will end yet - because it's a TRILOGY ...grrrrr ☺
And how the book ends is sending us in a totally new direction - and I had a lot of tears in my eyes reading the last pages .... but our darlings will get through everything thrown in their way in the last book... GIVE ME NOW PLEASE!!! ☺
THE GAME CHANGER was another very sexy & exciting mafia story!
Run to your nearest amazon for your own Michael - this one is MINE! ☺

This is the continuation...and it is just as gritty as the first one. The first time I read one of Scott Hildreth's books, I was...shocked isn't the right word, but there was something about it that made it seem more real. This is great when we are speaking of the romance and the characters (who were very real in this one) but is a little tough (at least for me) when it comes to the violence of the mafia life.
But, then I think about what I said. Hmmm...this author portrays mafia life/violence in a way that feels authentic. Actually, this is a good thing. I have zero experience in anything related to the mafia...unless you count movies and tv shows, so the idea that this can shock me, and unsettle me, and give me pause...I liked that.
I liked it a lot. I also liked Terra and Michael. I liked the realism, I liked the fact that they both seemed fairly committed to the idea that they were together. This worked for me and, again, gave this a realistic quality that made me want to keep reading even after the "book complete" appeared on my Kindle.
Oh, and the events at the end, those made me want to keep reading too.
I recommend this book.
Believe it or not it's the first book I've read by Hildreth. It drew me in because of the storyline. I love gangster / mafia type books so I was captured by the blurb
I enjoyed it but didn't LOVE it. It was hard to follow in places. Too many characters and I couldn't keep up but hey that's just me. Maybe I rushed reading it ...not sure. I will read more if his work though. But I truly loved the ending. I surely wasn't expecting it to end like that. That bit I loved. Great book overall
4-4.5 Stars
The Game Changer and this series were my first introduction into author Scott Hildreth's writing. But wow- this man can write his butt off. Plus it has been nice to read these books from a male authors prescriptive, since I don't seem to read as many male authors as I use to.
The Game Changer is the 2nd book in the Mafia Made series and it continues the story (drama) of Terra and Micheal. I feel like this book was better than the first one, due to the fact that we got more action and a lot more twists and turns.
I think I even liked this one more than the first book!
Scott Hildreth has a way... a way to rope you in and make you pay attention.
This is the continuation of his Mafia saga and it is right up there with everything he does...
Was grabbed by the throat and wasn't let go until the end.

This is book 2 in the Mafia Made series, a continuation of The Gun Runner (Mafia Made Book 1). See my 5 STAR review for The Gun Runner HERE.
I recommend reading The Gun Runner first because you need the backstory to fully understand and enjoy this book.
Goodreads blurb:
Terra
I’m going to marry this man, and nothing will stop me.
I didn’t expect it to be Michael Tripp who left when we made our announcement. He knows this life, he knows what it means to be a part of mia familia.
He didn’t know he was marrying the boss’s daughter.
I kept it from him—I lied to him.
He came back, thank God. My love forgave me and the wedding is on.
I’ll die before I allow any more secrets to come between us.
Tripp
I’m a man of my word. I love hard and tell it like it is. But the Mafia has me in their crosshairs and I’m in deep. Partnering with a crime boss is one thing. Working for a crime boss who is also your father-in-law…that’s just f***ed.
I stepped up to the challenge. Shaking things up and making changes that needed to happen to secure our power. And the profits speak for themselves.
No one could have seen the end coming. No one could have stopped it, not even me.
The playing field has changed. And nothing will ever be the same.
I really enjoyed this book and I absolutely loved how it effortlessly transitioned from The Gun Runner to this story. (It has been a while since I read The Gun Runner and I had no issues picking the story back up. The Gun Runner really left a mark on me and I was so excited to reading this continuation.)
What makes this book so good is how Scott Hildreth builds up a detailed mob world that sucks you in. I felt as though I was part of the family and mob. AMAZING. I had strong allegiances/bonds to certain people and questioned everyone. Scott’s writing makes this world REAL. He builds a thrilling story off the detailed and complex characters and keeps the plot moving, ultimately creating a captivating read.
I don’t want to give away too much of this story, what I can say is this book continues to follow Terra and Tripp’s story as they grow and take on new challenges associated with being part of the mob. Overall I really enjoy mob themed romance books and this series is one of the many reasons why. It’s so well done with all the mob details and aspects, HOT HOT HOT chemistry and the interactions between the characters. I can’t wait for the third book, The Good Boss (releasing May 1st), because I have a feeling it’s going to be just as amazing as this book.

I loved this one and was so happy to get the rest of the story from book one. Michael was just as amazing as he was in the first book. I loved Terra and really felt for her and everything she went through in this book. The secondary characters were awesome!! This was an amazing book with lots of twist and turns that kept me on my toes and looking forward to the next page just to see what was going to happen.

The continuing drama of Terra and Micheal. More of their journey together and his into the mafia family. Plus there's their BFFs hooking up. But then it just ended with a HFN for Michael and Terra and unfinished drama with Michael and her dad.
Where's the next book?
