This is a really good way to help you to learn to be more organized in your creative writing. I could see this being used by accomplished writers who want to be more organized in novel development, those who are taking creative writing class or just those who love to write the stories from their imaginations.
I love the concept for this notebook for established writers and beginning writers because it gives guidance and structure for writing, but with plenty of space to write, doodle, make notes, brainstorm, create mind maps etc.
I wonder if it would be better to have the prompts at the start of the book, so that a writer who is feeling blocked or uninspired and uses one of these prompts may then go on to turn it into something longer and more substantial using the rest of the book.
Also, the space to ask your characters some questions of your own might be a useful addition.
All in all, I think this is a good notebook for writers, with particular benefit for more novice writers in need of ideas on how to structuring their writing.
I received a free copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is a handy little notebook to use and the writing prompts are excellent.
It's something I would definitely recommend others to try out.
This is a little strange in format but some of the promps look good.
What a brilliant book for writers. It is the perfect tool for helping you take that difficult first step from idea to actually getting something down on paper. As soon as I opened the first page I wanted to write. For me it is also important that the book looks and feels good to use. I thought all the prompts were excellent. The only things I would change is to move all the random prompts out of the free writing section and put them in a section of their own. That way if you are in flow on the main story you won't be disturbed and if you are having difficulty you can dip into the random section just to take a break or to get your brain looking at things from a different angle. I would also have some blank pages (not all dotted). A great companion and writing aid overall. I want one. Many thanks
