Kelly is such a Queen of insta love and sweet, sweet men. He's a playboy, different women all the time, living it up at a hot piece of fireman. Then bam she enters his life. A great contemporary read for lovers of love and a man so romantic and sweet you just wan to put him in your pocket.
A journey of fighting for what we want no matter what the consequences and realizing that there is that one person out there for us that will flip our world on it's butt and make everything we thought we knew obsolete.
A feel good romance that will leave you smiling and wanting romance that is out of this world. Everyone needs a little Finn in their life.

Another Ward brother bites the dust and we couldn’t be happier!
This time its Finn’s turn and we get to know him and his player ways a little bit more, until he sees her.
Rory‘s life has always been about working and making her parents happy, but she doesn’t have time for anything else.
Finn comes into her life and everything changes, she can’t seem to resist him, even though she knows that being with him could bring her a lot of problems.
I love a good old “bad boy turning good boy” story, Finn had his doubts but he knew what he wanted, and he never went back to his old ways, he was true to his feelings and that’s why I fell hard for him.
Even when he was being rejected time after time, he kept looking for her; he knew that the feeling he had meant something more.
Rory was a sweet character; she was just the right amount of inexperienced to make things interesting between them. Without even meaning to she spiked Finn’s male ownership instinct and there was no running away after that.
Like in all Kelly Elliot’s novels, the characters get to crossroad and in this case it’s Rory that needs to stop being afraid and embrace her feelings. True love doesn’t have time for second guessing or fear. If you want the HEA you have to be strong enough to face your deepest and darkest fears, because if you don’t have those, then it’s probably not true love.
A beautiful story about love and life, and how everything can change when you find that special person; maybe what you though was important is not anymore. You might end up being surprised at what you are willing to give up for love.

Rory + Finn = perfection! This was my favorite book by Kelly Elliott yet! Funny, sweet, a little angsty and sexy - I loved this book! Great setting with charming characters and great writing - I couldn't ask for more!

Kelly Elliott returns with another swoon-worthy firefighter book boyfriend in Fighting for Love, Finn and Rory’s story. After having met Finn in Searching for Harmony, I was intrigued. I was anxious to see what kind of woman it would take to tame his playboy ways and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. Rory was the perfect match for Finn – their chemistry absolutely sizzling and the emotional connection between them certainly worth exploring. Kelly Elliott crafted a delightful push and pull between these two distinct and addictive personalities, serving up plenty of flirtatious banter, some seriously heady sexual tension, and enough hilarious moments to keep me absolutely riveted. Rory and Finn’s passionate and poignant journey delivered all the feels in this sweet, sassy Boston Love romance. Kelly Elliott’s voice is fresh, amusing and thoughtful, making this novel hard to put down!
Rory was fun to unravel. Her feisty personality, tenacious tendencies and propensity for adorably awkward moments made for one heck of an amusing ride. I loved how Kelly Elliott developed this character, revealing her personal ties to Finn’s firehouse and using her family history as a way to explore the risks and sacrifices that come with loving a firefighter. I especially enjoyed how hardworking Rory was. Her desire to succeed in her own right fostered a respect for this character that had me rooting for her in no time at all. Finn was every bit as charming as I remembered. His cocky attitude and singular focus on winning over Rory made me grin, but it was his unexpected sweetness and compassion for others that stole my heart. I would have liked to learn a little more about Finn’s role within his family, delved a little deeper into his relationship with his parents and brothers in order to really understand the kind of man he was but, overall, Kelly Elliott did a great job at endearing Finn to me over the course of the story.
Admittedly, Fighting for Love had some pacing issues. The first part of the book moved so quickly that Finn and Rory’s relationship definitely had a bit of an insta-love vibe. The speed with which the story initially progressed detracted from not only the perceived depth of their relationship, but also my emotional investment in it. About halfway through, Kelly Elliott settled in and it was then that I was able to really lose myself in this story. I loved seeing more of Harmony and Preston, their presence giving Fighting for Love some roots and a comforting feeling of family. The author did a great job plotting this couple’s journey, exploring Rory’s relationship with her parents, Finn’s reputation and sense of responsibility, and both of their work lives to create a storyline that was captivating and full of feels. Funny, smart and vibrant, Fighting for Love was an effortless read. Finn and Rory’s story was heartfelt and entertaining - a great addition to the Boston Love series!

Fighting for Love by Kelly Elliott......Wow, I loved this book!! It has all the feels you look for in a great story. Finn a hot firefighter and Rory just out of law school trying to make a name for herself, these two are a perfect match for a great story. I can't wait to read more books by Kelly Elliott. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.

I have to say I have several of Elliott's books on my kindle waiting for me to read them. I bought them on a whim and haven't had the chance to get to them yet but after reading this book of hers I will definitely read them sooner than later!
I love a good taboo trope, the boss's daughter is a great one. Add in a smokin' hot firefighter and I'm hooked! Rory and Finn are super sweet together. Finn is the ultimate playboy, until he meets her. Rory is a strong, independent woman, trying to please her father.
Her father, boy oh boy. He plays a huge part in their relationship. He will either shut em' down or they will make it through together but it won't be easy. I wanted nothing more than Rory to stand up and be her own woman, to make herself happy. I loved watching her grow as a character, or maybe she just shows her true colors. This is a feel-good sweet romance, with an uplifting, funny, and sexy, story. Basically it's the perfect package!
My rating: 4/5 stars

Fighting for Love is the second installment from the Boston Love series and can be read as a standalone novel. This was a quick, fun and sexy read that hits all the romance notes.
Finn is a firefighter who is single and wants to remain single, regardless of his mother's prodding to find the right girl. Rory is an independent lawyer who also happens to be the daughter of the Captain at Finn's firehouse. The two meet at a union meeting and their attraction is instant. Finn cannot stop thinking about Rory and tries to urge her to go on a date with him. She is resistant because her father has told her, all her life, that relationships with a fireman is bad and to stay away. Rory is unable to keep her walls up and decides on one date, which leads to two and soon the two are inseparable.
Until her father learns of their relationship and gives Rory an ultimatum. She has been a loyal daughter all her life, even working at the law firm where her mother is the senior partner. She has walked in her mother's footsteps, and taken the direction that her father has given. Her heart is breaking over the thought of hurting Finn and needs to figure out what she needs and wants out of life.
This novel unfolded nicely and the sub-characters added a nice layer of content that provided depth to the story. This is my first experience with this author, but I am looking forward to more of her books in the future.

The Boston Love series is quickly becoming my favorite from Kelly Elliott. I love the family dynamic and the camaraderie between the characters. The Ward brothers sound like great catches. Finn goes above and beyond with dates just to see Rory's mega-watt smile. I loved there was a connection between them from when they were little that neither one remembers. Rory has to decide if she's ready for the fight of her life.

After finishing this book, I found out it was actually book 2 in the series. I need to go back and read book 1 now, because I totally loved this book. If the other Ward brothers are anything like Finn I will totally love them.
Finn is a hot as h*ll firefighter, ladies’ man, and eternal self-proclaimed bachelor. He is leading the life he wants, having fun with his friends and not caring about the ladies he is leaving behind. His mother is constantly bugging him to settle down, but not Finn.
Rory took the path laid out for her by her parents, even if it wasn’t what she dreamed of. She followed the rules, did what everyone expected of her. She worked hard to prove that she wasn’t given the job at the law firm because her mother owned it. She put up with the snide comments, took the most cases, and worked all hours of the day and night.
When the two paths finally cross, sparks fly. Only, fate has other plans, as Rory is forbidden to date firefighters. Finn is on a mission to change her mind. As the story play out, you get all the feels, you get to meet the brothers and the sister Ward. The Ward family is amazing, nothing like Rory’s family.
Cannot wait to read book 1 and the rest of the Boston Love Series!

Finn Ward is a dedicated firefighter who immensely enjoys his bachelor status. But when this sexy player crosses paths with a gorgeous lawyer--Rory Adams—Finn just might be ready to give commitment a try. Complications abound, however, once it’s discovered that Rory’s father is also Finn’s boss—the very same man who has made his dislike for Finn abundantly clear.
Overall, “Fighting for Love” is a fun, romantic read. I absolutely loved the sexy, flirty banter between Finn and Rory, and the injection of humor is an added plus. That being said, however, I had a hard time relating to Rory’s character. An otherwise strong, intelligent woman, Rory is unable to stand up to her parents or to make decisions regarding her own life. Equally frustrating is this couple’s lack of communication. Crumbling under her father’s threats, Rory shuts Finn out without explanation. Then, when Rory decides to come clean, Finn is too busy having a pity party to listen to what Rory has to say. UGH! This is where I had to put the book down, as this is a major pet peeve of mine. Pushing past my annoyance, I eventually picked up where I left off and read until I got the HEA ending I’ve come to expect.
Although “Fighting For Love” is the second novel in author Kelly Elliott’s Boston Love series, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone.

Love Ms. Elliott's work, never a disappointment! This is Finn's book, Preston's brother. He is also a firefighter and a player with the woman. He meets Rory at a union meeting and is instantly attracted to her. Rory is also the new chief's daughter who is forbid to date firefighter's period. Rory has always let her parents dictate her life in all aspects and afraid to disappoint them, so she has listened and followed their rules even now that she is grown. But can she learn to live for herself and learn to make herself happy in life for a change regardless of consequences. There fight for love is a great story period. Can not wait for Wes's story in the next book. Honest review in exchange for ARC.

Fantastic story! This second book in the Boston Love series was simply wonderful. Finn Ward makes no apologies for his lifestyle. Hardworking firefighter, hard playing bachelor. No need to change as far as he could see. The fact that his new boss doesn't like his fun loving ways isn't his concern. Then he meets the lovely Rory Adams. She's a lawyer who represents the firefighters union. She's hardworking and doesn't have time for much of a personal life. Finn takes this as a challenge to get her to loosen up. One little problem. That new boss that already doesn't like him just happens to be Rory's father. Problems ahead - you bet!!
This is really a well done story. Lots of humor, low angst, and great characters including an amazingly adorable dog! I highly recommend this one!

This sweet and hilariously funny romance will have your preconceived notions about dating the boss' daughter trope out of the window. Meet Finn, eternally good-looking playboy firefighter whose Captain once caught him making out at the station. Now he thinks his boss is out to get him. But then he meets Rory and everything seems to fall into place, it's like he's waxing poetic all of a sudden. But then he gets saddled with the firehouse puppy who has his own behavioral problems plus it seems Rory is out of reach. Rory is his boss' daughter and if he values his life he needs to stay as far away as possible. He's already got stuck with the dog! Rory has her own issues to deal with and getting involve with Finn isn't really sounding like a great idea. But he really is cute and an adorable neat freak. Plus he needs help with the puppy from hell. So what's a girl to do?
Fighting For Love is a really fun read that will have you laughing and turning to mush at the same time. Plus who can actually say no to an adorable puppy!

Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Kelly Elliott and I love almost all her books. The first book in this series was not my favorite though, so I went into this one with a bit of apprehension. Luckily for me though it blew me away and I loved every written word.
Finn is a firefighter and a bit of a man whore. He loves his job, his family and his one and done nights with a women of his choosing. The last thing he expect is to meet the eyes of a women across a room and immediately feel things he was sure he would never feel.
Rory is a lawyer who is a total workaholic. She works for her moms law firm, so she feels like she has something to prove by working her hardest at all times. She grew up surrounded by firefighters as her dad is one and now his is the fire chief of one of the stations.
She is currently working defending a fire fighter who has been accused of something he did not do when she meets Finn. The chemistry between them is off the charts and even though she wants to start something with him, her one rule that her father always insisted she obey is NOT to get involved with a firefighter. Oh and did I mention that Finn also happens to work at her fathers station, which means his Finn's boss?
This was a really great story of overcoming obstacles that stand in their way from his job, her father, her career and seeing if what they have is worth fighting for or not....
I look forward to reading the next book !!

Finn is a firefighter and a player! He has his pick of girls and uses that to his advantage ... with 1 (or 2) at a time and that's just how he likes his life. That is until he meets Rory. Rory is a young lawyer trying to make her name in her mother's law firm working long hours and weekends. She has no time for guys never mind a relationship ... and that's just how her parents like it. But when she meets Finn her world turns upside down and she feels an undeniable attraction to him. But there are 2 major problems ... 1) he's a firefighter and 2) her father is his boss and her father has forbidden her to date a firefighter. But neither one of them can resist the other, so they begin a secret affair.
This story is a sweet romance with twists and turns along with laugh out loud moments and some steam.

Another must read from Kelly Elliott!!
Fighting For Love was incredible! Finn and Rory were fabulous to read about. Their relationship was not easy. They had their issues and struggles to overcome, however, this showed just how realistic the book could be. They weren't perfect, they had to adjust their ways, and it wasn't idealized. It was raw and so beautiful!
When you simply look at the romance and flirtation, Kelly Eliott has nailed it! It was so cute and romantic, that I wish I had a guy like Finn in my life.
I have read and loved every single book written by this phenomenal author, and this novel is definitely no exception!
5/5 Stars!

Absolutely loved this book. From start to finished it was fab. Never laughed or swooned so much in my life

This was my first Kelly Elliott book and I really enjoyed it! There were a few times where I didn't feel completely connected to the characters, but overall I enjoyed Rory and Finn's journey. I found myself laughing out loud at times as I read this book. And I'm pretty sure Flash will make you laugh, too! I really liked how the chapters flipped from their perspectives. I like seeing the story told from the hero/heroine.
Rory and Finn first saw each other because of their respective jobs. There was an immediate attraction and I liked how Finn tried to find out who she was. His brothers knew he shouldn't be knocking down her door. And once he found out who she was, he knew he shouldn't do anything about it. But their pull was too strong.
Captain Adams has had it out for Finn and he's had his eye on the firefighter. It makes Finn work harder and mind his Ps & Qs for awhile, too. Even having a friendship with Rory is cause for caution when it comes to Captain Adams. But she helps him with Flash and I liked how easy their friendship and banter was. Their relationship felt natural and it was easy to get caught up in their story. I enjoyed the sweetness between the characters and the heat between them! I was cheering for them despite things happening around them. I liked this book and hope you give it a read!

A larger-than-life firefighter inspires a career-driven woman to live in the moment—and trust in the power of love—in this flirty, emotional novel from the New York Times bestselling author of Searching for Harmony.
Finn Ward has two passions: being a firefighter and being single. Although his parents are constantly nagging him to settle down, Finn just wants to enjoy himself while he’s young. Then, at a union meeting, he meets a gorgeous lawyer with a dazzling smile—and suddenly, settling down doesn’t sound so bad.
Rory Adams is fresh out of law school and looking to make a name for herself at her mother’s firm. She doesn’t have time for silly games anymore. But when she catches the eye of a dashing fireman who makes her body tingle from across the room, something instantly ignites between them. The only problem? Her father is Finn’s boss.
Their relationship turns both of their lives upside-down. Rory tames Finn’s wild ways, while he shows her that life can’t be all work and no play. But it’ll take some serious determination to keep their love secret—and real courage to admit the truth.
Praise for Kelly Elliott’s Searching for Harmony
“Searching for Harmony is a heartwarming story of a woman who suffers an unthinkable tragedy—and finds an unimaginable love. It’s a real charmer!”—USA Today bestselling author Tina Wainscott

My Thoughts
We cannot help who our heart chooses, no matter how much our brain disagrees with said choice in the beginning.
Finn has several strikes against him going in, his reputation with the opposite sex, his occupation as a firefighter and most importantly his boss is Rory’s father.
Rory has been instructed by her parents, especially her father, since childhood not to date a firefighter. Her job working in her mother’s law firm has proved to be demanding all of her time, both during and after work hours, so she at first fights against her instant attraction to Finn. There is a big case coming up which means Rory can afford no distractions, especially one that she knows her father has always vehemently expressed his negative opinion of.
Not wishing to cause a division between Rory and her family Finn agrees to hide their relationship, not of course the wisest move the two could have made.
Nothing more to reveal but will say the journey to togetherness for these two is one that is well worth taking right along with them, no matter how upset it makes the reader on their behalf
This second book picks up smoothly where the first left off, with even more intensity than Harmony and Preston’s story.
When finished my emotions were still engaged and in turmoil on behalf of Finn and especially Rory as things ended with no resolution between she and her father.
I am fully invested in these characters, looking forward to finding out what happens next to the main couples and their friends as well in the books to follow.

Boston is a city I haven't been to yet, and this book has made my travel bug itchy, especially if I came across a firefighter like Finn! He has a lot of qualities we all love in our BBFs, loyalty and trust being right up there. He is someone you can depend upon and trust your life with. He even loves dogs! It is going to take one special woman to curve his player ways, and he feels that Rory is that woman, if only he could get a date with her.
Rory, is a lawyer working for her mother's firm, trying to make a name for herself and not coast on her mother's laurels. This takes a lot of hard work and long hours, and relationships will have to be put on the back burner. That is until she sees Finn at a Union meeting, and is smitten with him from the very start. Except with work and the long standing agreement she has with her firefighter Captain dad, that she never dates a fireman, this just can't work, unless......
I enjoyed reading this book, even though it was a bit repetitive and drawn out. Rory's character was naive and inexperienced due to her parents being controlling, but she also grated on me a little. There were also some story line discrepancies that annoyed me, like the lead council of the case Rory was working on. His harassment behaviour when working on a harassment case was ironic. I do believe the secondary characters brought this book a more pleasurable read. If you enjoy family sagas, then you will like this series.
