The Dog Who Stole Christmas by Amie Stuart
A Bluebonnet Texas Holiday Story
Short but sweet and oh so much fun to read!
I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short read filled with wonderful characters that put a smile on my face, made me laugh and think and care. I loved the fact that Matilda was strong enough to accomplish so much despite the circumstances she found herself in. I loved the strength of purpose and giving spirit Boomer exhibited – he is a boyfriend anyone would be lucky to have. Just loved it – it was just what I needed to read this afternoon!
Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the copy. This is my honest review.

This book was ok and funny at times. Boomer being a NFL player and Mattie is wanting to be a farmer. Two totally different people but wanting the same and that is to help others

Book Review: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. Luckily it is only a short story, so I didn't have to. It's part of a series of books, however, can be read as a standalone (I haven't read any of the others, and it didn't affect the storyline).
I like Matilda's character. She is happy in her own skin and doesn't try to please other people. That's a cool chick in my eyes. Her funny and rude wit had me laughing all the way through.
Boomer Kendall is a big deal in Matilda's small town. He's a football hero and local celebrity. He is Matilda's brothers best friend and the start of all her problems. She's happy to tell him what she thinks of him even if the rest of the town worships him.
Boomer is trying to avoid his life. He has a contract to sign and people to please. His best friends sister is the only thing he wants to think about, but she's off limits and hates his guts. Two little problems but that doesn't mean they can't have some childish banter and maybe a little name calling.
This is a love-hate relationship with lots of sass. A really enjoyable read. I just wish there was more.
5 out of 5.
