Maybe This Love by Jennifer Snow was a nice surprise. It was a sweet and charming story with just a touch angst. It also had two very likeable characters and a story that will intrigue you.

Ben Westmore is on his way to a championship and it should be the only thing on his mind. But a drunken night in Vegas is coming back to haunt him. Though he is always careful how he treats his body, four months ago he had one too many and apparently got married.

Olivia Davis has dedicated her life to her career and has been very successful at it. But she is ready for more. She is ready to start a family, even if it means doing it on her own. The last thing she needs is to be distracted by the likes of Ben Westmore.

I really liked Olivia. She was strong, confident and independent. She was not afraid of putting you in your place if needed. Ben was a known player, but his reaction to Olivia was immediate. They had chemistry from their first encounter.

Though on opposing sides, neither Ben nor Olivia can deny their attraction. And as they find themselves together unexpectedly, repeatedly, that attraction only seems to grow. I enjoyed reading Maybe This love and will go back to read the other book in the series. A sweet and fun story of finding love when you least expect it.

Hockey hotties? Let me at 'em!

I haven't read the first book in the Colorado Ice series, however this didn't affect my reading of Maybe This Love.

I am a sucker for a hockey romance, and whilst I enjoyed the hockey side of things, I had a few issues with the heroine in this story, lawyer Olivia Davis.

She is 36 years old, but at times it felt like she was 15 years younger. She make some ridiculous decisions that made me wonder at times if she was really a lawyer?

Ben Westmore though - Yeah, I kinda dig the guy, even if he makes some dumb a$$ moves. What happens in Vegas really doesn't stay in Vegas after all!

I like the spark and attraction between our lovelies, the bite and snark from their first meetings. You can't help but want them to find a HEA.

There are plenty of fun and engaging characters in this book, especially among Ben's family.

So while this might not be a favourite book of mine, it was sweet and cute.

What is there to say about Maybe This Love by Jennifer Snow, other than the fact that I loved it!!
Olivia and Ben completely stole my heart. I became so invested in their storyline, that I never wanted the book to end. They had so much chemistry and connection between them, that the readers can feel as though they are truly apart of their blossoming romance and story.
I urge you to go and pick up this novel for yourself today! You definitely won't regret it.
4/5 Stars!

For a person who doesn't normally gravitate towards sports, I seem to keep falling in love with stories about them. There are only a handful of authors able to get me to fall hard and Jennifer Snow is one of them. She puts the heart into a heartless sport with Maybe This Love and brightens up a male dominated world with a bit of girl power. Olivia and Ben are classic romantic comedy with a modern day twist.

I have chosen to DNF this title. I did not believe the actions of the characters, they seemed unbalanced and like I was reading about 4 different people rather than 2. I was not able to engage with the story as I was not really able to get to know the hero or the heroine, so I have chosen to DNF this title.

I appreciate the opportunity.

Right from the beginning i fell in love with this book. I really liked Ben and Olivia was just amazing. I loved the development of their relationship and how cute Ben was trying to wear down Olivia's walls. This was very well written and I just love this series and can't wait for the next book.

He was drunk, he did something stupid and now he needs to get out of his mess. And honestly it was not a bad thing he did. But yes still a mess. And sure he was a player, but I can forgive that. He just needed the right woman ;)

Olivia liked her job, she was focused and she wanted a baby. She is also the opposing lawyer. But how sparks flew. But she should stay away. But damn he was fine. Though how she could be all I can't do that, when she did not even tell him her secret.

They can't date but they grow closer. I liked that he wanted her, and she, well she does want a family and thinks he can't give her that. Being a player and all.

And there is hockey too of course, it's a sports romance after all. He plays hockey and should focus so he does not croak. It's Stanley Cup after all! At least I get hockey so I liked that.

Conclusion:
Will they wont they. Yes they will

What happens when a "player" gets played? Ben Westmore is the player in his family. He's the MVP for the Colorado Avalanche & this is his year. The team is in the playoffs & nothing, NOTHING!, is going to stop them from winning the Stanley Cup! Except Ben finding out he got married 4 months ago when he got drunk on New Years Eve. Except Ben's attraction for the opposing counsel. Can he manage to regain his confidence, single mindedness & concentration?

Olivia Davis is the divorce attorney to athletes, or rather to their spouses. After gaining a reputation as a tough ice cold attorney, she's decided she's lost her chance at happily ever after & is going to do it alone. After making the decision to proceed with invites, she has the first meeting in a new case & can't believe the chemistry & attraction for her client's soon to be ex. How can Fate be so cruel?

I loved this one!! I really didn't think I'd like Ben's character because he came across as arrogant & self centered. I loved the way he appeared to change throughout the book but it was actually Olivia's perception of him changing as she got to know the man behind the persona. Olivia began to change as she started to see the other side of arguments instead of just her client's. Jennifer Snow does a really good job of introducing the reader to the characters & engaging them in the story by the use of her descriptive dialogue & excellent plot. Several barriers to Olivia & Ben's relationship are introduced in the first chapters & the rest of the story is spent showing why they can be strengths instead of barriers. Excellent story! I can't wait for Book 3!

Not final draft:
Maybe this Love by Jennifer Snow
I feel like the world has recently discovered hockey again. Or maybe it only feels that way because I’m from the midwest. Either way, I have recently read more hockey romance novels in the last 6 months than I ever would have thought I would encounter and suddenly I’m paying attention in sports bars.

In Maybe this Love, the second book in Jennifer Snow’s Colorado Ice series (I know, could she have a more perfect name for writing a hockey series?), MVP Ben Westmore is called into his coach’s office and handed divorce papers. The problem is that he doesn’t remember getting married four months earlier. The last thing self-proclaimed player Ben needs while his team is heading to the Stanley Cup finals is to deal with some gold-digger. And he certainly can’t deal with the feelings he gets when he looks at his soon-to-be-ex-wife’s lawyer. And after all the pro-athletes Olivia has gone up against in divorce cases, she certainly isn’t interested in starting things with one. It must be the hormones that she has been taking in preparation for in vitro making her warm when she is near him.

Who doesn’t love a good “famous player wants to settle downs for the right girl” story? And, even better, while hockey is a big part of the story, you are overwhelmed by mind-numbing facts (I always just skim that junk anyway.)

Perfect for any wannabe hockey fan.

maybe this love is the second novel in the colorado ice series, and focuses on older brother ben westmore. he is a total dreamboat. he's kind and generous. he loves his mom and sister. he adores his baby niece. he's close to his brothers. and he's also a super hot professional hockey player.

he meets olivia davis under less than desirable circumstances, however, because she is representing the wife he forgot he married on a drunken new year's eve in las vegas. olivia has a reputation in sports circles as the woman who represents the scorned wives of professional athletes. and she's ready to think the worst of ben. except there's that sizzle of attraction between them from the start. and her client's reasons for delaying a divorce and settlement start to look fishy. and maybe she can't be objective about ben westmore.

ben never acts like he's married. he only interacts with his alleged wife maybe once in the whole story. and he is interested in olivia. even as he realizes that this attraction is going to make his life complicated fate seems to conspire to put them together.

olivia has a lot going on in her life too. she's decided that she's waited long enough to start a family. so she's doing in vitro treatments to see if she can have the baby she's always wanted. i will be honest, this part of the story was a challenge for me. i'm not usually a fan of romances where the main character is pregnant with someone else's kid. it's definitely a matter of personal preference, but it's just something i tend to go out of my way to avoid. it turns out having one of the main characters actively trying to get pregnant while starting a relationship with someone else still feels icky to me. i think the other thing that made this challenging was that i have my own experience with ivf and i don't think i really enjoy reading about other people's ivf journeys.

but when you take all the ivf stuff out of the picture, and really focus on ben and how dreamy he is. and really just think about how perfect those westmore boys are in general, all is good.

There is nothing better than your team making the playoffs, when your team is the 2016/17 Colorado Avalanche who didn’t even make the playoffs, you find solace in a fictionalized version of the team that are very much in Stanley Cup contention. Such is the case with Jennifer Snow’s latest Colorado Ice novel, Maybe This Love. Ben Westmore plays for the fictionalized Colorado Avalanche who are definitely in contention for the Stanley Cup. When he suddenly finds himself married after a terrible New Year’s Eve, those Cup dreams are in danger. Olivia Davis is the lawyer hired by his soon to be ex-wife and definitely not a sports fan. Ben sets out to change her mind when it comes to hockey players. Not surprisingly, once she gets to know Ben, Olivia becomes a hockey fan and so much more.

The interplay between these two is fun and engaging. Ben is definitely not what he seems on paper and Olivia certainly finds that out in spades. There are definitely bumps in the road, but worth it to get the chance to see my team in contention once again. If only the actual team were the same.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Ben Westmore might be the MVP Captain of the playoff bound Colorado Avalanche but his toughest opponent of the season isn't the muscle bound goalie on the other team, it's the lawyer who represents the woman he doesn't remember marrying while he was drunk as a skunk on New Year's Eve. Olivia Davis is a highly competent top notch divorce attorney representing soon-to-be-former wives of professional athletes but her rapidly growing attraction to her clients' husband sets the stage for a delightfully entertaining and sinfully sexy enemies to lovers battle of wills. The more Olivia pushes Ben away the more determined he is to prove to her that he's more than just a one night stand and I found myself equally charmed by these two stubborn individuals as they try to learn from the mistakes in their past so that they can see their way to a future together. Who knew that along the way to their happily ever after I would fall in love with hockey as well? This is a terrific series and I'm looking forward to reading Asher Westmore's story sometime very soon. I read a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

Ben is in hot water it seems he ran off and got married and now he needs to get divorced like it last year. When one of the hottest women gives him a run for his money in like the first 5 minutes of seeing her, he knows he needs to know her better and more then anyone else. Olivia has a reputation in the court room for her no holds bar when it comes to sports figures and famous people. When she is given a new case she starts to wonder about her life and about what she wants in the future. Can they both get there lives together and will they be able to find "home" in each other or will the media destroy any chance at it?
I found this book a super fun read. I really enjoyed the independence of Olivia but also her softer side that leaves her feeling like your catching up with your best friend. I loved the back in forth and the hold no bards between Ben and Olivia. I really enjoyed the friendships between Owen and Ben and Madison and Olivia. I really loved Madison I want to know her story she had this spunk that jumped off the pages in this book and she had this fun attitude. In the end of this book I wanted more it felt like it was summed up but it still felt like it was missing something, other then that this book was super fun and I can't wait to read more about the Westmore brothers and there families.

Jennifer Snow is a first time author for me and I absolutely fell in love with her writing.

Ben Westmore is a womanizing hockey player who needs to help his team win the Stanley Cup. Instead, he is dealing with the woman he married on New Years Eve, the one he remembers nothing about.

Olivia Davis is a attorney to sports stars and their wives, along with the woman who Ben is married to. In addition to a crazy work life, Olivia's biological clock is ticking and she is looking for the family she's always wanted, with or without a partner.

When Ben and Olivia are together, it seems as though all is right with the world. Will Olivia get her happily ever after? Will Ben get the divorce he wants and get the girl he needs?

Maybe This Love is definitely one to read!

I just can't get enough of the hockey romance genre and I was particularly drawn to this as it's set in my home state Colorado. Jennifer Snow is a new to me author and this is the second in her Colorado Ic series. It can definitely be read as a standalone (that's exactly what I did but I'm itching to read Maybe This Time). Her writing style is smooth and MTL has a plot that takes you where you might expect, but with a few fun detours along the way.

Snows writing is engaging, pull you directly the lives of the main characters, Ben and Olivia. The two meet under unusual circumstances and know they should really stay away from each other but there's just a pull between then. Ben, Colorado Avalanche hockey star finds himself in a predicament that he doesn't even remember participating in. He's a very "sure of himself" man who knows how to turn on the charm. He's reluctant to get too close to anyone, but finds himself pulling some crazy tactics to be near to Olivia.

Olivia is one of those lovely lead characters that has the type of personality that will make you think of her as a friend. Although she is successful, she is newish to Denver and has yet to forge any strong relationships. Her loneliness is subtle but she does have a plan to rectify that, something that will fulfill a lifelong dream. I loved being her head and she chants her daily affirmations and works her way through her little project. As Ben pushes himself into her life, they struggle with her plan, his past, and his schedule. You can't help but pull for the characters as the missteps they make are understandable (although Ben really should know better -tsk, tsk...such a rookie mistake Ben!)

All in all I thought this was a really enjoyable read. There's a great cast of secondary characters and a Stanley Cup to win. 4 stars and recommendation!

This is the second book in the Colorado Ice series and each story is a standalone, but all the characters are interconnected. I was excited to read MAYBE THIS LOVE because I love stories about hockey players and I have never read anything by Jennifer Snow. This story is a mix of sweetness and sexiness.

Ben Westmore and his two brothers have always loved to play hockey. Ben is the captain of the Colorado Avalanche hockey team and they are heading into the playoffs for the Stanley Cup. He meets Olivia Davis while he is in the process of getting a divorce. Olivia is an attorney and she is representing Ben’s soon to ex-wife. Ben got drunk in Las Vegas, somehow ended up married and he wants to get a divorce as soon as possible.

Ben and Olivia both feel an immediate connection to each other, even though they know they shouldn't. They each are confident and successful but also have some vulnerabilities. They are in their thirties and worry about getting older and accomplishing all the things they want in life. Ben and Olivia try figure out what is important them and what will make them happy. I enjoyed this fun and engaging story, it has a lot of entertaining secondary characters, including Ben’s family.

Its play-off time and Ben Westmore, hockey player, womanizer and sworn bachelor needs to concentrate on the game, his team and winning the Stanley Cup, period. Thanks to author Jennifer Snow, that isn’t going to happen, but what DOES happen is worth every word on every page as life scores a hat trick against Ben’s playboy ways!

MAYBE THIS LOVE is Jennifer Snow’s latest fun, quirky and heart-warming romance and it starts out with a bang! Ben Westmore, the man who treats his body like a temple has one too many drinks new Year’s Eve and ends up married to, well, he has no idea who he married or even that he was married. Now, four months later, he will find himself in need of a very quick and quiet divorce.
That isn’t enough? He has a flirtatious run in with the opposing attorney and pretty much manages to give credence to every nasty thing said about his “charming” ways.

Olivia Davis, attorney to the sports stars or their wives is a woman who has made the choice to give up living to make her mark in her career. When she realizes that her biological clock is running down, she knows she wants to feel the joy of motherhood, no partner involved, of course, but when she comes in contact with Ben, even she can’t control her eggs vibrating to mingle with him. Good thing she knows he is a rat. Or is he?

Like a bad rash, Ben can’t get over the attraction he has to the woman who can ruin his life in a blink. Together they call a truce as their emotions play havoc and they cross the lines of propriety with a passion that sizzles off the pages as two souls find what was missing in their lives!
Fun reading, filled with a passion that only two driven people can create!

Ben Westmore had love once and he lost it, and it damn near killed him, so from that point on he decided to never let it back into his life again. The thing with love is though, no matter how hard you try to dismiss it, it always finds a way in... and it knows no bounds. When Ben finds himself stuck in an sticky marital matter, he asks his lawyer to remedy the situation quickly so it doesn't interfere with the playoffs, but when he finds himself sitting across the table from his wife's beautiful attorney Olivia Davis he can't help but want things to drag out just a bit longer, so he can spend a few more moments with her! He knows associating with her is wrong on so many levels, but he just can't help himself, there is just something about her that draws him in... problem is she wants nothing to do with the playboy hockey player!

After growing up without any real family to speak of Olivia Davis is ready to change that by having a family of her own, even if it means starting it on her own. Her biological clock is ticking away, and there isn't a man in her life, nor has there been for some time now, so she decides to take matters into her own hands. But shortly after getting her fertility treatments underway she meets someone, a sexy hockey playing someone, and they have some serious chemistry, but she isn't so sure he is ready for the same things, so she tries to give him the easy out... but he doesn't take it. She soon starts seeing this thing with him leading to what she has been longing for, but then again can she really trust the well known playboy with her heart?

I have to say Ben's story was just as amazing as the first two installments in this series, and I really enjoyed my time with him and Olivia. It was evident from the start that they were perfect for each other,.. even if it took them a little time to come around to the idea! Ben was a force to be reckoned with, and I think Olivia made the perfect woman for the job, she was able to handle everything he dished out, and give it right back, when the moment called for it. I also appreciated getting little updates on other characters from previous installments too, Ms. Snow blended it all together seamlessly without without taking anything away from the main story. Each book in this series is very well written and comes equipped with a sexy alpha that will lure you in by chapter one, charm his way into your heart by chapter two and as your near the end you'll be a goner!!

Ms. Snow's Colorado Ice series is a CAN'T MISS series!! I highly recommend it, each installment is sure to satisfy all of your reading needs, and then some!

Olivia is a lawyer and her new client is married to Ben (a hockey player). Ben is trying to get a divorce because the marriage was a drunken misunderstanding. Olivia ends up falling for Ben even though she knows it's not ethical and turns the case over to one of her colleagues. Olivia is trying to have a baby through in vitro fertilization and Ben is in the middle of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

I loved this book. It is so perfect since the Stanley Cup playoffs are going on right now and it makes you think about the hockey superstitions and staying focused for the game. I never knew there was a "keeper of the cup," so that was an interesting piece of trivia I learned. Olivia's misgivings about the in vitro process and being a single mother were very realistic.

Highly recommending "Maybe This Love" and can't wait for the next book in the Colorado Ice series! Love reading hockey romances!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC! And thank you to Jennifer Snow for a super sweet hockey romance! Let's Go Jackets!!
