This book was pretty good. It definitely held my attention and I’ll be checking out the author’s other books.

I really enjoyed reading these books. Along with the hot as sin "romance" there was so much mystery and action going on. I could not put down my kindle until the very end to see who the real killer was.

PART ONE:

After reading Ex-Con, I was very eager to read Patrick & Michelle's story. A romance that couldn't happen...should NOT happen, but did anyway. These two just couldn't stay away from each other.

This story is full of suspense, always keeping me on the edge of my seat, turning the pages as quickly as I could.

The sexual tension between Patrick & Michelle was so thick it drove me bonkers, but I wouldn't want it any other way - I absolutely loved it! Their playful banter was entertaining and I couldn't wait to see what they'd do next... fight or fool around.

This part of the story ends in a cliffy and I immediately dove into part 2. Love this author's writing!

PART TWO:

Wowzers! What a cliffy!! And what a fantastic continuation of Patrick & Michelle's tumultuous relationship! Gah! This is such a good series!

I just couldn't get enough of Patrick & Michelle and reading about the trouble they're in.

Who do they trust? Who CAN they trust?
And that ending...OMG! Seriously, this author is a genius at making the reader crave more of the story.

We get more suspense, like LOTS more. And also some omg-I-didn't-see-that-coming moments. I flew through this book, wanting to know everything right now - NEEDING to know.

After reading Part 1, you'll definitely want...no wait, you'll need this part. Then you'll most definitely want to dive into Part 3.

PART THREE:

Are the bad guys really the bad guys? Are the good guys really all that good? I devoured this last part of the Outlaw series and loved every minute of it!

Katana Collins' superb writing is a joy to read. She made this story thrilling, filled it with nail-biting suspense, and gave me everything I love in a great story.

This is a very well-written whodunnit, with twists and turns, lots of fun humor, and plenty of sexy time to take the edge off. ;)

I highly recommend this series! Go...buy Part 1 & 2, devour them. Then get Part 3 to get the closure you'll need. It's so good!

Wonderful story that I didn't want to end. 5 Stars!

This was a fantastic read. Absolutely loved the story line and the typical club carrying out illegal dealings and turning good. Loved the tenderness of Patrick and the backbone of Michelle. They complement each other perfectly without being too encased in just the two of them. 5 stars were not enough.

This is my first books I have read from this author and I must say that I am already hooked. I will be looking up her Ex-con Series! I Loved reading about Patrick and Michelle. I can't wait to go back and read the Ex-Con series, I think I would understand this set of books better if I had read the others first. They are still great books!

Have you read any of Katana Collins books yet? If not, you are missing out! I started with Ex-Con series. And this is sort of a spin off with Ex-Con's characters best friends. So it was nice to read about Michelle and Patrick's story.

Part 1: We get to know all about Patrick. I completely thought he was bad all the way to his soul. Though Patrick is a bad boy, he has a heart. He has family and friends that he is loyal to. And his crew with HSC are his brothers. They stick together. His whole world tilted on its axis when he met Michelle. He has a lot of demons from the past, and he is ready to be the only bad boy in Michelle's life..Even though its her job to lock him up in jail.

Part 2: We learn about Michelle. I had a feeling that there was more than the eye could see. She hides behind her suit and job. She is the ADA and needs to put scum bags in jail for their crimes. My heart broke many times over for Patrick and Michelle. I needed two boxes of tissue nearby with this series. This is the part of the book that you more than fall in love with these characters. If I did not love Michelle so much, I would steal Patrick away from her. He is a total bad a%$ and babe that I would worship!

Part 3: OMG!!!! The ending was just...I can not put in words. This whole series took my heart, slammed it, and then shattered it. I really am not going to write to much book details. But you are in for an emotional ride. I am still reeling on a book hangover. If you need to have all the feels, for better or worst, Outlaw Serial is it for you! Through the good time and through the bad times, we will see these two through! What a great book. I recommend my book world friends to buy it asap!!

There is a lot of adventure in this book but some of it a bit graphic for my liking. Overall good but to far outside of my romantic realm of reading material.

I loved the good girl/bad boy story. It was nice to get more of these characters, and I loved their chemistry! I love how the story from the first three books continued with these, and I can't wait for more!

I only recently discovered Katana Collins, so I was excited to grab more of her books. Outlaw is a serial that is book 2 of the Harrison Street Crew series. I will say that I think you REALLY should read Ex-Con first to understand the story. While Outlaw focuses on 2 different characters than Ex-Con, the story is a continuation and without having read Ex-Con, you won't quite understand all the history.

Set in South Boston, the story is gritty. The Harrison Street Crew (HSC) is a car club. A club that operates on the other side of the law frequently. Racing, drugs, car theft and the likes are all part of their daily life. Patrick has been in the club for a long time and is very loyal to the brothers who saved him as a teen. Michelle is the other side of the law; she is the ADA attempting to build a case against HSC. She has a 1 night stand with Patrick and then runs from him. She knows she can't get involved with the suspect in a case she is building, no matter how much she wants to. Then Patrick is accused of murder...Michelle doesn't believe he did it, but now she is in a tough spot. Stand up for him and possibly lose her job or go along with a prosecution she doesn't believe is just?

There is no lack of 'bad guys' here. Remy (Michelle's brother and the bad guy from Ex Con) is still causing trouble, Rig, the HSC pres is acting kind of sketchy, and someone is messing with Michelle and Patrick. Between the danger that seems to follow these 2 around and their sexual tension, this is an engaging read. Collins has a way of roping in me, even when a few chapters ago I wasn't so sure. Part 1 ends with a bang that will have you diving for Part 2. Overall the story is layered and deep without dragging and you will find yourself sucked in before you know it. If you like MC Club books, give this series a try! You have the same dangerous guys, slightly illegal behavior, brotherhood feel, just with muscle cars instead of motorcycles!

Outlaw Part Three by Katana Collins is not a stand alone. Please read Part One and Part Two first.
Outlaw Part Three:
Picks up where Part Two ends.
Michelle and Patrick are a couple. Michelle was shot at. And Patrick wants not go to jail.
The have obstacles to tackle, big ones. There are enemies, friends and family.
This story is breathtaking.
Meet The Harrison Street Crew at her best.
Part Three is my favorite part in this series and I give 4,5 Stars.
Thank you Katana Collins !

Outlaw, Part I by Katana Collins
Book Two of the Harrison Street Crew series

Rating: 4 stars

***Warning: this is an adult book, and for the eyes of mature readers***

Summary (from Goodreads):

Worse than bad. Hotter than hot. These are the bad boys of the Harrison Street Crew, and they answer to no one. They take what they want. And what they want is you.

Volume One of a three-part volume by Katana Collins.

Patrick Flanagan lives outside the law. The cops don’t like him. The law doesn’t trust him. He may come at you with a charm and a handsome smile, but make no mistake—he’s as reckless and bad as they come. But when a total bombshell with stilettos and a power suit comes blazing into his life, this bad boy is about to be so, so good…

What I Liked:

In February, I read Ex-Con, the first book in this series. I read an excerpt of the first part of the book and I was intrigued, so I requested Ex-Con from NetGalley. I ended up absolutely loving the book. I haven't read many serials and I don't particular love them, but I highly recommend Ex-Con. And, I highly recommend Outlaw! This book was just as great as Ex-Con.

Outlaw is Patrick and Michelle's story. Patrick is the vice president of HSC, a street-racing gang in Boston. He loves the thrill of doing something illegal, like stealing a car or hacking into a security system. He isn't an ex-con, but he doesn't like the law, and the law doesn't like him. Bad timing at his friend's bar leads to Patrick being the prime suspect in a homicide that occurred right outside the bar - and Michelle Chiccarini is on the case. As the assistant district attorney, Michelle shouldn't be having any dealings with Patrick personally, but she can't seem to stay away.

I adored Patrick in Ex-Con, and I adored him even more in this serial. He is introduced in Part I as the lovable goofball that he is, but with a serious side that few see. Collins digs deep into his character, and we get to see sides of him that are surprising, heartbreaking, and sweet. Patrick is such a good guy, for someone who is in a club that does not-so-great things.

Michelle is so great! She's a no-nonsense, rule-following good girl that doesn't like to get her hands dirty in HSC business. But her best friend Charlie is dating an HSC member (Shane - who is Patrick's best friend), and Michelle has always been attracted to Patrick. When the murder is pinned on him, she knows he's innocent. I love how tough she is - she's sarcastic and blunt and very bossy. She is used to getting her way, but she is also fairly good at reading people.

I loved watching (reading?) these two interact. They are so perfect together. The banter, the chemistry, the tension - these two practically set the pages on fire. They argue a lot, and on paper it might seem like the most productive relationship. But they are so good for each other - the good girl and the bad boy. I personally love that trope, and I think it works well in this story.

The romance is so hot and also so well-written! This is only part one, so there was a lot of sexual tension in this book, but not quite the fireworks (yet). Patrick is such an alpha male and Michelle is an alpha female, so watching the two square off was always great. Chemistry-wise, they are hot together! Romance-wise, they work well as a couple. Though again, they're not yet a couple, in this part of the story.

This part begins with Patrick and Michelle being thrown together to figure out the details of Patrick's case - he is innocent, but he's being frame for murder. The ending of this part is very cliffhanger-y, so I was happy to have part two on hand. You'll definitely be wanting part two!

What I Did Not Like:

Nothing specific that I didn't like! This one isn't getting that coveted five-star rating from me, but still, it was excellent.

Would I Recommend It:

I highly recommend this first part of this book! The Harrison Street Crew series had an excellent start with Ex-Con, and it continues to be excellent, with part one of Outlaw. Unlike Ex-Con, this book does not deal with an ex-con -- Patrick is a "bad guy" but not a charged criminal. I highly recommend this book if you liked Ex-Con, or if you like steamy romances featuring bad boys and good girls!

Rating:

4 stars. This first part is an excellent hook, for the book and the series in general! It was well-written, intriguing, engrossing, and hot. All things that make for a great start to a fantastic romance novel!

Outlaw, Part II by Katana Collins
Book Two of the Harrison Street Crew series
Publisher: Swerve
Publication Date: March 14, 2017
Rating: 4 stars

***Warning: this is an adult book, and for the eyes of mature readers***

Summary (from Goodreads):

Worse than bad. Hotter than hot. These are the bad boys of the Harrison Street Crew, and they answer to no one. They take what they want. And what they want is you.

Volume Two of a three-part volume by Katana Collins.

Ambitious lawyer Michelle Chiccarini vowed like hell she is going to do her best to prosecute as many criminals as she could. Even if that means trying to put away Patrick Flanagan, a man who can make her pulse quicken and fill her head with dirty, wicked thoughts just by looking at him. She’s got to put him behind bars. But how can she do that, when she can’t even resist his touch?

What I Liked:

This part picks up exactly where part one leaves off. There has been an explosion, and Patrick is hurt. Michelle is at dinner with her family. Patrick's case is still open, and Patrick and Michelle must figure out who actually killed the Sauceda crew's member, before Sauceda kills Patrick. It's time for Michelle to get her hands dirty, because desperate times call for desperate measures, and she is finding that she doesn't want Patrick to go to jail, or get hurt.

Stakes get even higher in this book! I love the direction that the author has taken this story. In this part, Michelle has to do some things she didn't think she would have to - like allowing Patrick to get away with stealing her co-worker's files, or hacking into security systems to get away with it. But Michelle wants to prove Patrick's innocence.

Things get a lot steamier between Patrick and Michelle (and I mean a lot steamier). There is a certain getaway scene that is super hot, in which I wanted to stand in front of an air conditioner. Collins doesn't write too many sex scenes in her books, but she knows how to come with creative and very hot scenes, whether it's sex or tension-building steamy scenes.

But it's not just Patrick and Michelle's chemistry and bedroom activities that progress - the pair grow closer emotionally, which was a lot of fun to watch. Patrick is like a sealed vault, and Michelle has a hard time trusting anyone, so seeing each of them slowly open up to the other is cute.

These two are like fire and ice, in the best of ways! Watching them interact is always fun, steamy, and heartwarming. I love their arguments and their banter. But I also love how devoted they become to each other, without even realizing it.

And of course, things progress in terms of the murder investigation, and in terms of who is trying to hurt Patrick and Michelle. There is something else happening, someone else who wants to take them down. Who is behind it all - Remy? Sauceda? Someone else? I love how Collins develops quite a story here, and not just a romance. I loved getting into the specifics of Michelle's job as a lawyer - that's some serious research that Collins did for that role.

Overall, this was an excellent addition to the book. I could not put down this serial e-galley! Part two zipped right by for me, and I jumped right into part three. After the ending of part two, you'd want to as well! Part two ends even more cliffhanger-y than part one.

What I Did Not Like:

I don't have any specific dislikes! This one isn't receiving a perfect rating, but I liked this part a lot.

Would I Recommend It:

I highly recommend this part of the book, as well as the book in general. The series in general, really. I love the bad boys/good girls trope, and this book (Outlaw) does it so well. Patrick is s bad boy and a sweetie, and Michelle is a straight-laced good girl who is also sarcastic and bossy and assertive. I love these two together!

Rating:

4.5 stars -> rounded down to 4 stars. It's possible that I have enjoyed this book (so far) more than I enjoyed Ex-Con! I am loving the progression of this story, and the series in general.

What I Liked:

The final part of Outlaw! I jumped right into this part, after finishing part two. How could I not? Part two ended with a very stressful scene involving Patrick and Michelle. This part is the final part of the book, and the action gets intense. We've reached the climax of the story, and s**t really went down.

Patrick and Michelle are their own team, trying to prove Patrick's innocence, but also trying to stay alive. Someone on the inside is trying to hurt Patrick and Michelle, and they needed to figure out who. Nothing seems to add up... until it does. I loved the twists that Collins wrote, and how everything made sense in the end. I would not have guessed what was happening!

I loved Patrick and Michelle! They are probably one of my favorite couples in recent romance novels I've read. Their banter, their fierceness, their loyalty, their love for each other - I adore them and I loved watching them fall for each other. I love how little drama there was in this book - Patrick and Michelle talked out anything and everything that could have come between them. Communication is so big in this story, and I am so glad that they didn't leave misunderstandings to grow, or they didn't jump to wild conclusions and let those fester.

And of course, their chemistry is on fire. Patrick is a sexy alpha male, and not really in the cliche way. He's a pretty sensitive guy too, and he is thoughtful and sweet. Michelle seems like a bossy, dominant type, but she loves how Patrick treats her and she losing control with him. Together, they really balance each other, and I love seeing the changes their relationship wrought between them.

The ending gets crazy really quickly! But everything ends well. I think I would have loved an epilogue, but if there are more books in this series (which I imagine there will be?), I'm sure the author will have Patrick and Michelle appear at some point. I would love to check in and see how they are doing years from this point. In any case, the ending of this part (and the book in general) is wonderful!

What I Did Not Like:

Like I said, I would have loved an epilogue or at least a little more from the ending. It's a solid, concrete ending, but I wanted a little more. I'm hoping Patrick and Michelle will show up in future books (if there are future books)!

Would I Recommend It:

I recommend this part, this book, and the series. I am not usually one for romance novels involving clubs or gangs, but this series has really surprised me so far. Collins has won me over, and I find myself smitten by these bad boys. First Shane (and Charlie), now Patrick (and Michelle)... I do love the bad boy/good girl trope, and I like how Collins makes the trope different and fresh in Ex-Con and in Outlaw. I don't really care for serials, but I am a fan of this series having serial novels!

Rating:

4 stars. This book was great! Three parts, $1.99 each... that's only $5.97 for a full-length novel. I really do recommend Ex-Con and Outlaw - you'll change your mind about street-stealing bad boys, believe me! I never thought I'd say that.

I enjoy series where there is a lure to the dark side. Especially with a special prosecutor, Michelle, falling for the bad boy Patrick. Irresistible! Having not read the first of this series, I was thrilled to receive all 3 parts of this book at once through NetGalley. Reading books like this always make me wonder what the real world is up to hmm!!

the back and forth and final POW with Michelle and Patrick is sexy! Liked this book!

*ARC PROVIDED BY PUBLISHER IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW*
These were my third set of novels that I have read by Katana and now I’m even more obsessed with her. I don’t know how that could’ve been possible, but it has happened, and I don’t mind one bit.
This serial follows a different duo of characters that we met in Ex-Con. It follows Michelle, Charlie’s bff, and Patrick, Shane’s best friend and club brother. Michelle is an ADA on the hunt to sever all gang activity from her town and Patrick is the worst guy that she could possibly be interested in, considering her position. Not only is he part of a ‘gang’ but he’s the Vice President of it. The sexual tension between these two was incredible and suffocating, even for me. And it didn’t help matters that my crush for Patrick reached insane proportions from that very first chapter. It was badass, intense, and it had my heart palpitating a million miles per hour. It was one of the most memorable intros to a book that I’ve ever read.
If I thought, Ex-Con was good, this serial was outstanding!! Out of the two sets of characters, Michelle/Patrick are my absolute favorite so far!! The intensity basically quadrupled as we dug further into the plot. Katana manged to throw in some of the most amazing humor in the midst of all the chaos, which I appreciated so very much. I cried so many times throughout this serial, for different reasons, that I lost track of the times I didn’t have tears in my eyes.
My heart went out to these two characters completely, their pasts shattered my soul and I wanted to mend everything, especially for Patrick. It sucked seeing him in his true form and I couldn’t even reach into the pages to make it all better. Even though Michelle was my competition for his attention, I loved her so much. She was absolutely hilarious and I respected her iron backbone. The things that were happening to her also made my heart ache. Nobody deserves to witness and go through what she’s going through. I seriously can’t wait to see what else Katana has in store for us.
My emotions were all over the place in this serial, if you haven’t noticed yet. The entire time I was internally screaming: ‘WHAT IS HAPPENING?!’ ‘WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HURTING MY BELOVEDS?.’ Katana is weaving one of the most heart-pounding novels I’ve come across and I’m like an addict; I read this in one sitting since I couldn’t be bothered with real life. Also, as if I didn’t cry enough, that ending completely shattered what was left of my restraint and had the floodgates rampaging out of my system. All I will say is that PAT IS SO PERFECT, I can’t wait to see more of him in the next serial!!!
I leave with one more important question: Where can I find my very own Pat?

5/5 stars!

I really liked these three books they were well written with super characters cant wait for more would recommend

Great start to what seems like is gonna turn into an awesome story. This one book separated into 3 parts.
Michelle is the ADA that is lead on a case involving the HSC. While she is gathering evidence against the Club, a man is murdered and tossed into a dumpster.
The lead suspect is the Vice President of the HSC. Patrick joined the Club right after his brother died and he was lost and looking for a place to belong. The Club is basically a gang that is involved in a lot of illegal activities.
Patrick has a total hard on for Michelle and can't seem to think about much else but getting into her pants. Someone is trying to frame him for murder and the evidence is pointing to him.
I totally loved how this book started off. And loved how the ending was a total cliff hanger.
Glad I was able to read this all as one book. I would wait till all 3 parts are out to read this one.
The relationship between Michelle and Patrick was a little weird in part 3 for me. They would go from hugging, to Michelle punching Patrick in the face, to kissing. It was hard to imagine this as a real relationship.
I liked the suspense of not knowing who was setting Patrick up for murder until the end. It made you keep reading waiting for a clue.
I will def keep my eye out for the next HSC book so I can see what happens next.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC.

Overal Rating: 4 Stars

Part 1: 3.5 Stars
If you haven't read the Ex-Con series first, you may be a bit lost in Outlaw. We first meet our main Characters as side characters in Ex-Con. Part 1 of Outlaw starts with Michelle's POV in a scene that happened towards the end of Ex-Con's Part 3 and continues the story from there.

This series is focusing on Michelle as an ADA getting promoted to working on the case bringing down the local car gangs. When she realizes her attraction to Patrick will endanger her job, she puts some distance between them. Unfortunate timing and events are making that impossible.

We also still have the continued story about her brother, Remy's corruption as he runs for mayor. It looks like someone might be setting up both Michelle and Patrick and part 1 ends on a pretty big cliffhanger.

So far, these series have been safe. There is no cheating, no other woman drama but there is talk of past physical abuse to one of the characters. The car gangs are portrayed as anti-heroes who may not do things legally but have big hearts. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Part two: 3.5 Stars

This is part of a series and you'll want to start with the Ex-Con series first. Each series focus on one couple and their immediate story, with a bigger story running throughout all the series.

In part two, Michelle has given up staying away from Patrick and is now working with him to help clear his name while her job is in jeopardy. There is more hints to not only her brother Remys corruption, but possibly her dad as well. We end on another huge cliffhanger to gear us up for part three.

Part Three: 4 Stars

This is part of a series and you'll want to start with the Ex-Con series first. Each series focus on one couple and their immediate story, with a bigger story running throughout all the series.

I enjoyed this last part so much more. There was so much going on with Michelle and Patrick being framed and the excitement of solving the puzzle while they fight their attraction. This did end with a HFN but there is still unresolved issues with Remy. We also learned there are more players than just Remy to be concerned about.

I think based off the hints in this last part, the next series will focus on Ryan and Meghan.
