I thought the flashbacks added a lot to my enjoyment of the main plot. Jax and Megan were fun together, even in the midst of serious situation. There was great chemistry and engaging suspense.

Such a great start to this new series. I was on the edge of my seat during Megan and Jax's story. I loved how they found each other after 5 years and are really different people than they were. This book was a great ride!

Kiss Marry Kill is a sexy, suspenseful second chance romance. Megan and Jax met 5 years ago at a baseball game and kissed on the Kiss Cam when her boyfriend at the time ignored her and Jax, sitting next to her, decided he couldn't leave the beautiful woman unkissed in front of the camera. They spend 4 days lost in each other, then don't see each other again until one night her home is broken into and Jax, now a badass private security officer sees it on TV and races to her side to be with her.

As Jax and Megan heat each other up, the heat is on from the outside as her stalker continues to harass her and make her life miserable. It sets off Jax's extremely protective alpha tendencies, and he does his absolute badass best to figure out who is stalking her and how to end it.

I love Jax and Megan. Their chemistry is explosive, and I love how far they've come from 5 years earlier. And ooh swoon, the epilogue is sweet, and sets up what I hope is a forthcoming second book in this series.

If you like your romance with suspense and action, and tons of steam, Kiss Marry Kill needs to be on your TBR list.

Five years ago Jax and Megan had a whirlwind week. Having been snubbed by her boyfriend when the kiss cam makes it their way, Jax helps Megan save face by giving her the kiss of a lifetime, a kiss that would set off a series of events that leads to one of those “the one that got away” stories. But Jax is getting ready to deploy and Megan is off to law school, so they decided to make a clean break. That doesn’t stop them from remembering those magical four days and asking themselves, “what if?”

Five years later Jax sees his Megan on the nightly news, her house having been broken into by an overzealous fan. Fan? That’s because she has become a pop superstar, a dream she never would have pursued had it not been for Jax.

Jax is now out of the Marine Corps and owns his own security company, so he immediately takes charge of Megan’s safety. The desire is most definitely still there between the two, however Jax doesn’t want to get too close, thinking that if he takes his eyes off the mission he may put Megan in harm’s way, just like his platoon in the sandbox. The two must decide if they’re willing to take a chance and see if those four days can be recreated, a half-decade later.

Romantic suspense isn’t really my thing but the second-chance romance is what really fueled the plot for me. I did like the characters for the most part. For pushing thirty both the hero and the heroine are a little on the immature side, and the way that Jax constantly blames himself becomes a little much. There is a plot twist that was a bit predictable but I did love the chemistry between the main characters. I actually almost preferred their story in the past than current day.

The story is told in a dual POV. I liked seeing things from both points of view, but like I said, Jax’s dwelling on the past in his inner dialogue does become a bit much (and understand, I am in NO way discounting his experience). But if you are a fan of steamy suspense, this book is for you!

(P.S., don’t call a Marine a soldier, at least not to their face.)

The title grabbed my attention and the synopsis convinced me that I wanted to try this out. I think the thing that didn't connect with me was how intensely they felt for each other within the first chapter--I couldn't always connect to their intense reactions to each other. Even after I got to know their story a little more, it sometimes still felt a little off. That being said, there were moments I really enjoyed--their trip to the Bahamas, their 4 days of fun, some of the banter really worked too. While this one didn't always ring true for me, I can definitely see the appeal to this alpha male and his love interest.

Kiss Marry Kill is Book 1 in the "Iron Clad Security" Series by Sidney Halston.

5 years ago, Megan and jax spent one weekend together and they couldn't forget it. At that time it was impossible but they felt was stronger than anything they have felt before and after that weekend.
Now, she a famous danger. He is a retired military and the owner of his own security company with his best friend.

Megan is in danger and he will do everything to protect her.

The plot is entertaining, the main characters are interesting and the chemistry between them is very well written. A very enjoyable read!

I picked this book up because it mentioned a rock star and I’m all over anything having to do with rock romance and I have to say that this book gave me so much more. Yes, I got the rock star fix but along with that was an ex-marine who was more than authoritative, loveable and sexy. This book was a thrilling suspense read that kept me on the edge of my seat and about the time I thought it was over Ms. Halston throws another curve ball and kept me guessing yet again. There were plenty of swoon worthy moments along with moments that brought tears to my eyes. I really like this book and hope there will be more books with Iron Clad Security.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review.

Confession-I think I like Sidney Halston writing romantic suspense better than straight romance! She's an amazing romance writer, but this book had a lot of what I love in a story. Two wounded characters with a romantic past. Sizzling chemistry. A great plotline and a slowly unfolding mystery that exploded into action. I loved every bit of it!

Megan and Jax had one of the best meet cutes ever; their four-day romance an oasis of time before they started very separate paths: Megan to law school, Jax to another deployment with the marines. It had been a breath of fresh air, a stolen chance at just letting it all hang out. For Megan, it had completely changed more than her outlook--it had totally rearranged her path.

Jax, on the other hand, had a different story. While the following five years had given him lots of experience for his new security company, the cost had been high. In a horrifying attack on their compound, he'd lost almost everyone in his unit. Their deaths haunted him with survivors guilt, and the void inside of him told him it was his fault. Meeting up with Megan again was fantastic. Seeing that she'd achieved her dream beyond anything they could have imagine? Priceless.

However, when he realized that she was in danger, he was determined to make sure that he used everything at his disposal to keep her safe. Losing his team had slayed him. Losing Megan... He'd die first.

Two sweet and genuine characters that have you rooting all the way make this an unforgettable read. Thanks Sidney, can't wait for the next in the series!

Kiss Marry Kill is a second chance at love novel with a touch of bodyguard thrown in. I loved the beginning of the book as Ms. Halston drops the reader right into the action, and the action continues throughout. I thought the story was a little unbalanced, the action sometimes overtakes the story. I really appreciated the depth of the characters, and the setup of the series was smooth and made the series seen interesting. The story itself was well plotted, I just found it a little predictable. Based on my enthusiasm for Ms. Halston's last book, I am willing to give the series a try, the premise of Iron Clad Security will yield fun reads.

4.5 thrilling and HOT stars!! This was one hell of a book to start a series!!

This can be read as a stand alone. But it appears this is the beginning of the "Iron Clad" series. Which I will def be reading all of!!

This story starts off with two individuals who were like ships in the night at one point in time. But a psycho crazy has brought them back together. One is the victim and one who will move heaven and earth to protect her.

Ok so the hero in this story is Jax, or Rambo!! Haha. I actually totally think that name goes with him. God he is so alpha and hot. I like the Past Jax and the Present Jax!! Megan is actually a total bad ass chick and I am digging her as well!! Megan and Jax have some really hot and sexy scenes. This book had it all...sex, mystery, thriller, drama, love and just yumminess!! I also love all the men in this book. I can't wait to hear more from them.

This was very well written my only negative and why I could not give it 5 stars was the first quarter of the book could get quite confusing. There wasn't a very good divide on when the view of the story changed so I wouldn't know who was speaking and would have to go back and read little. But other then that it was excellent!! I loved that the love story was actually very realistic. I have kind of had a love story this way. This is def a book to put on your TBR list!!

Kiss, Marry, Kill was a mix of second chances and romantic suspense. Megan and Jax met in a past life it seems, she was poised to start Law school and he was deploying; but their time together set off a different course for Megan.

Now in the present, Jax is out of the military and formed his own security business. He's been home for a while but didn't have the courage to look Megan up, even though he's thought about her often. And then fate steps in and he sees her on television, the victim of a stalker and Jax immediately begins to step in to help protect her.

Megan gave up on law school to follow a dream of hers, music. Joining the group TNT and singing changed her life in more ways than one, but she's never been happier with what she was doing - that is until a stalker enters her life and she's afraid of what will come next. When the man from her past that helped her change her life's direction reappears Megan isn't sure what to do.

Kiss, Marry, Kill grabbed me from the beginning - not only curious about what would happen between Jax and Megan now that they have been brought together again, but also with a deep curiousity of the stalker. The set-up pulled me in and kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering how far the stalker would go and if Jax would be able to keep Megan safe. And also how long it would take these two to begin a new relationship as well because their chemistry was great and they'd been thinking of the other for years.

Alongside the problems of the stalker and the danger surrounding Megan, there are other issues in the mix, Megan's family who wasn't happy when she changed her life plans and Jax dealing with his life outside of the military and what he'd endured while in, there isn't a dull moment of this story. The connection between these two characters is strong and has a realistic feel to it, which makes it easier to be sucked into their story and root for a good outcome in regards to both their relationship and taking care of the lurking danger.

Kiss, Marry, Kill is the first book in this new series and I, for one, can't wait to see what comes next.

4 Stars

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, heat, betrayal, suspense, and heartache.

This Megan and Jax's story. After one kiss Megan is hooked. She gets four days with Jax before heads back to the military. Now years later he is back and running his own private security firm. Megan is a singer. When her “number one” fan breaks in her home she knows, she is in trouble. Jax offers to be her personal bodyguard. As they spend time together they can feel the pull between them. Can they figure out what to do about the deadly stalker that is after her? The threats are getting more personal and more dangerous. Can Jax protect her? Or will the stalker make sure they never get there second chance?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Sidney Halston has written a beautiful and sexy book that is centered into the world of Romantic Suspense with Kiss Marry Kill. She definitely “killed “it with this book. It is so rich with storyline and with characters; I didn’t want the book to end.

The story follows Megan who is a now famous singer, and Jax, war veteran and now security expert. They have a past together that was brief – a short affair that lasted 4 days and they haven’t seen or spoken to each other since Jax deployed 5 years before . Jax is now back in Megan’s world when he heard her life was in danger—that is when Jax knew he needed to come to Megan and offer aid- his type of aid.
Old feelings come rising up when they are in close contact and those feelings that was there in the past, are still there in the present. It’s a beautiful 2nd chance love story and you get to see how Megan never got over her love for Jax yet there is some reserve over how he left her. The plot was interesting and the sex scenes are so hot, I needed a cold drink to cool off. Jax is one hot alpha who never got over his feelings for Megan and he wasn’t going to let this chance slip thru his fingers again. Take one heartwarming romance, pulse pounding danger , a crazy stalker and those twists/turns makes this one hot and dangerous romance worth reading!!

My rating: 4.5 stars ****

M/F Romance

This is kind of a second chance love affair story. Five years ago, Jax and Megan met at a baseball game. She was living the life her parents dreamed for her and Jax was getting ready to carry on without his father in his life. Both were in need of saving, but neither really knew it until it happened.

This is a story about success, living the life you choose for yourself and living for yourself, loving the friends you have, making new friends, and loving who you were meant to love.

I don't want to write too much, because it will give the story away, but the friends make this story hilarious, Jax makes the story steamy, and Megan keeps her cool and makes this story fit for a rock star.

Kiss Marry Kill is book one in the new Iron Clad Security series.

Megan Cruz is the lead singer in the band TNT. Megan has developed herself a stalker. When he breaks into her house, she fears the worst. Jax Irons is an owner of Iron-Clad Security and also has a history with Megan. Someone he thought he'd never see again after the four intensely amazing days they spent together five years ago. When he hears on the news that she's in trouble, he wastes no time getting to her. Keeping her safe becomes his top priority.

The spark Megan felt with Jax hasn't died in the five years they have been apart. They have both changed but that chemistry they shared didn't. Can Jax keep Megan safe while her body is a huge distraction or will Megan go stir crazy waiting for him to touch her?

I figured out the "who done it" early on but I absolutely loved the ride getting there. I am a huge fan of Ms. Halston's writing and Kiss Marry Kill is no exception. It's sexy and fun, suspenseful and has explosive chemistry. It really is everything you want in a romance. I can't wait to see what lies ahead for this series!

I loved the hell out of this story! It’s original, fast paced, and super steamy!

Jax and Megan had an intense week together before going their separate ways. Jax overseas to the military and Megan built a career as a singer in a popular pop band. The two parted ways, thinking they’d never see one another again. Now, years later Jax has been discharged from the military and owns a successful security agency. Which is why when he hears the woman who he’s never forgotten is in trouble, he swoops in to protect her. Megan’s gotten herself a crazy stalker and the only person who makes her feel safe is Jax. After spending time together, they realize the spark from years before is still strong, but Jax isn’t willing to risk Megan’s safety by getting distracted from his bodyguarding duties to start a relationship…

This is one of those books that you can’t put down once you start, the mystery and drama had me reading into the wee hours of the morning. I love all the characters, especially Jax’s security men – the author’s done a great job setting up what I can only expect is going to be a fantastic series. Looking forward to book #2!

This book was quite the novelty for me. Usually it’s the rock star ex that comes back into the picture, but in this twist, it’s the opposite.

Megan is being targeted by a stalker and when her house is broken into, Jackson "Jax" Irons comes to the rescue. He hasn’t seen Megan in five years, not since those four fateful days in Miami they spent together. Since then he survived the death of his squad, suffers from PTSD, and formed Iron-Clad security with his best friend. Seeing Megan the victim of a terrible crime, he jumps into action and to her defense.

Megan is scared for her life. The police don't seem to be taking her seriously even when the stalker breaks into her house. Thank goodness Jax showed up when he did, vowing to keep her safe, otherwise she didn't know what she would do. Moving back in with her parents is a no-go and she refuses to stay with friends in fear of putting them in danger.

Megan and Jax shared something special five years ago and both secretly want that something special for the here and now. The stalker brought them together again, but will it also tear them apart?

I have a feeling there will be more installments and I can't wait. I also hope that we see a lot of familiar faces in the next installment.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
In my experience Ms. Halston writes great series – so I was really happy to get to read this new one. Although there is a need to build us a new world, this works very organically here, and we become invested not just in Jax and his future, but that of his team, and to a slightly lesser extent, Megan's band mates. I shall definitely be on the look out for future installments.

Jax and Megan are those people who chose to be sensible about the impossibility of their attraction to each other five years ago. Now, unexpectedly reunited, we get to watch as they remember the first time, and have to work hard for there to be a forever. I don't think there is any doubt from the beginning that these two have chemistry in spades, and an underlying friendship which is based on honesty and humour. It makes the story so much richer that we are worried not that they care, but that they will do the 'right' thing once again. And it would most definitely be for the wrong reason.

I enjoyed the stalker element, and though I guessed fairly early on, it only served to make things more tense, so maybe was intentional! But I will say no more than that.

If you enjoy well-paced, suspenseful but not too angsty love stories, then you should read this and enjoy it.

The cliché of protector falling for their charge, isn’t something new. It been around for generations and whilst over the years the concept changed and evolved. Kiss Marry Kill idea isn’t a new one. The idea of ex military opening their own business and falling in love in one of their client who so happens to be someone rich and famous

I have read a few in my day and honestly enjoyed most of them despite being the same idea. However Halston’s offering was different. This book had a few things going for it . As this romance wasn’t because their present situation. Their spans a number of years and was key to the story.

Their relationship started five years ago and this was a second chance romance as well and how that impacted things in the present. Those few days changed their courses and now in the present. It wasn’t easy.

As Jax had grown and been shaped by those five years. He maybe been the charming man that saved Megan from humiliation and fell in love with the sheltered Megan. Now he all about his work and Megan is the one who is leading the story . She broke free of the mould she was set by others and fell into a career she loved. She didn’t regret what Jax did They both had an edge to them now and it changed things in the now.

They were holding on two those memories would be enough with a stalker on the lose.

With a title like this, it was going to capture my attention regardless of plot and blurb Whilst this a romantic suspense with the title taken from the game. This wasn’t exactly. Whilst the whole idea of a stalker was a lead for them to continute the plot. The stalker was almost secondary plot. The relationship and the firm were the seen as the staring points of this novel. Don’t get me wrong I wish that the stalker story was stronger given the title but I loved Jax and Megan. Both characters had something likeable about them and I loved that they weren’t welling to just let memories carry their relationship.

Halston did a great giving a fresh take on two clichés an d provided a story that will entertain readers. This maybe my first but I look forward to future instalments of her new series. Especially with the hints who is up next as that going to be something different and memorable .
