I liked this story but did not love it. It is well written and once Jax realized the treasure he has in Meg, he finally pulled his act together. I just found the bits of flashback when they met 5 years ago a bit much, not to mention that there was obvious chemistry between them when Jax barged in to save the day, so why the constant fight in his head about protecting and loving her at the same time? *sigh* I'm getting tired of these romances where they break apart for some reason, end up reuniting but fight the very blatant feelings they have for each other, only to realize they belong together all along? Great action, some suspense and hot sex scenes. Jax and Meg do get their HEA. 3.5stars!

Sidney Halston has become one of my favorite writers. Ever since reading her "Worth the Fight" series I can't get enough of her engaging stories, intense chemistry and scorching love scenes. Lucky for me, and her other fans, Sidney has a new series!!! Ironclad Security promises to be a thriller/romance series that gives us once again everything that we have come to love about Sidney. "Kiss Marry Kill" starts off the series with a bang! Can't wait for the upcoming books.

Megan Cruz had no idea that her whole life would change that day. Watching the baseball game with her inattentive boyfriend, she would never have guessed that the man sitting on the other side of her was holding the key to her dreams and her future happiness. So when the kiss cam focuses on her and she is left embarrassed after her boyfriend refuses to kiss her, she finds herself locking lips with the handsome stranger sitting next to her. After a kiss that is witnessed by the whole stadium and that leaves her toes curling and her heart beating out of her chest, she leaves her boyfriend and goes off with him. Jax may be going off to war in a couple of days and she may be going off to collage, studying something she hates, but they are determined to spend every second they have together. Making the most of it and doing only things that give them joy and make them happy.

Jackson "Jax" Irons can't forget the beauty that he spent those unforgettable four days with. It might have been five years and even though he has no idea where Megan is or what she is doing now, there isn't a single day that he doesn't think about her. So when he sees her on the news - the leading singer of a famous group- and hears of the attack that she suffered, he goes straight to her side. He is the co-owner of a security company and if there is one thing that he knows, that is security and he has no intention of leaving her safety to anyone else but himself.

There were a few back and forth scenes in the book. And even though that can usually be boring and even annoying, this book successfully achieves not to make it so. The chemistry between Jax and Megan is electric and the love scenes definitely prove it. I hope that there will be many more books in this series!!!

I think I’m in the minority here but this book was just ok for me. I read a lot of romantic suspense and this one was extremely predictable, even the stuff that was supposed to be surprising. Maybe it’s because I read so much romantic suspense that I figured out pretty quickly but I was not surprised at all (and I caught myself rolling my eyes a few times). I’ve never read a book by this author so I don’t know whether or not this is the norm for her.

I do love second chance romances though so that helped the story. I love the way Megan and Jackson met…that was extremely unique and really fun! I love the time the spent together the first time they met. Everything about that made me smile (except when they parted ways of course).

Their romance the second time around was rocky to say the least. They were stressed about the stalker but they both changed a bit which seemed to get in the way. Jackson was extremely wishy-washy about what he wanted and the angst he caused was forced at best. It was almost like someone flipped a switch in him and that wasn’t believable at all. Their reunion was worse…he was over the top alpha protector completely blowing her off and then all of a sudden loved her and couldn't live without her; it made my head spin with the ridiculousness of it. I could never reconcile the extreme caveman, alpha protector with the super sugary sweet lover in Jackson. He just didn’t work for me. And I never really connected with Megan; I'm not sure whether or not I liked her at all.

I’m guessing the next book will be about Annie and her charge to protect. I will probably skip the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed this suspenseful romance. I was pretty much hooked on this one from the first page. A couple good twists I didn't see coming and a sexy romance = perfection!

Kiss Marry Kill by Sidney Halston is a romantic suspense novel about Jackson "Jax" Irons and Megan Cruz who share a kiss on the kiss cam during a baseball game before spending four unforgettable days together prior to their lives taking them into different directions. Him to the Marines, and her to law school.

Years later, after being injured in active duty, Jax is back home and co-owner of Iron Clad Security with his best- friend and fellow marine Joey. Though it's been years, he still can't forget his Megan. So when he sees a news report on the tv about famous lead singer, Megan Cruz being attacked by a stalker, Jax is floored. He immediately goes to her and offers his services, unwilling to lose her now that he knows she needs his help.

The chemistry between Jax and Megan is strong and I enjoyed how Ms. Halston gave us more of their backstory by including chapters set in the past. They both feel very strongly for each other while still understanding that the person they had a romantic interlude with years ago is not the same person standing before them now. They don't just immediately fall into each others arms which I liked.

The mystery/suspense with the stalker was well written and kept me interested. I was not entirely sure who the suspect truly was which I appreciated.

Overall, Kiss Marry Kill by Sidney Halston was an enjoyable novel and I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I happily recommend.

This has it all, mystery, old flame, hot connection and a famous band. I flew through this book and couldn't wait for the next book from Sidney Halston!

Jackson (Jax) Irons is an ex-marine. He was severely injured during an explosion overseas and was honorably discharged. He started Iron-Clad Security with his best friend, Joey Clad, also former marine. Jax is the muscle, Joey is the IT genius.

Jax is having a beer when he sees on the news that pop music star Megan Cruz has had her house broken into and the perpetrator escaped capture. He can’t believe he’s seeing the girl he let get away, and she’s so close by!

Megan Cruz is a pop star who has a crazed stalker after her. She can’t believe she’s living her dream and her worst nightmare at the same time.

Jax and Megan have history. They spent 4 intense days together right before he was shipping out and she was starting law school. Both fell in love, but at different starting points in their lives, make a clean split. Now, several years later, they meet again. Jax shows up on her doorstep, insisting on taking over her security needs and the investigation into her stalker. Megan, so happy to see the return of the love of her life, allows it. However, she’s not the shy girl from before. She has confidence and backbone. She’s going to be an active participant in getting her life back.

It was easy to discern who the bad guy was going to ultimately be. Still, it was a good story. The details of Jax and Megan’s past is given in intermittent flash back chapters, which I normally hate, but works in this book. Although, I think they could have been condensed into fewer chapters. We also get both character’s POV, but it’s not over the top. I am not a rock star romance fan, but this was different. I liked that the normal excesses that seem to go with the rock star books like copious amounts of sex with groupies, drugs and partying is not part of this book. The three girls in the band are like sisters. They have friends and days out with their friends like normal people.

It was a good introduction to the series and I look forward to the next one.

A little too slow for me.... kinda skimmed the book.

My initial reaction after reading the book: How have I not read any of Sidney Halston's books before? You'd think I was living under a rock or something! I CANNOT wait for the next book!!!

This book was a "WHO DONE IT" as its finest, from the first page to the last it kept me at the edge of my seat, who was after Megan and why were they trying to kill her? Right from the start we are engaged with Megan's stalker there was no slow build it was right there on page one, talk about a way to pull you into a story....WOW.

This will be a short review because I do not want to give anything away but I will tell you that not only do you have an action packed mystery suspense but you have a second chance at love story as well. I loved the chemistry between Megan and Jax, and it was really great on how the author wrote their first encounter into the book with flashback chapters from five years earlier and some mentions of their previous time together in the present sense.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I already have the next book (Last First Kiss) on my TBR shelf on Goodreads. If this book is any indication the Iron Clad Security Series will top all the bestseller lists.

WELL DAMN, YES, RUN, HIDE, FIGHT, RUN. I got me a seriously suspense filled romance with Jax and Megan. This was burn up the sheets passion. Shut down the street suspense. Run for your life intensity.

If you are a reader of romantic suspense and figuring things out is what you do. Then you will do well to read this one. There are things you expect but the way they get presented will change your way of seeing things. This was one beautiful romance that turns in to a series run for your life. Jax and Megan had a beautiful start to things. Then were torn apart. Then brought back together. Things for them were more like a roller coaster ride in life.

Megan Cruz is not at all like she was five years ago, now a headstrong singer for the famous band TNT, Jackson "Jax" Irons is shocked to see her on the news. When he left for war he thought he'd never see her again, even though he thought of her always, but when a stalker is reported to be after her he can't sit by and let it happen. Using his connections as one of the owners of Iron Clad Security, Jax steps in to save the day, only to be wrapped in the spell of Megan again.
Megan remembers Jax as the fun one, the guy who kissed her and made her feel alive in such a short period of time, but this new Jax is hardened and getting through to him seems impossible. Meg uses every chance she can to show him she wants more, but his PTSD and his desperate need to protect her keep getting in the way. The stalker doesn't seem to be letting up either and as things get worse Megan clings to Jax, unaware that even when things get better he may not still be there.

Kiss Marry Kill was a really interesting book, I took a bit of time to get into it, but once I got the story line I was hooked. More romance than suspense, Sidney Halston tells a multi-faceted story about two young people who found romance with one another and have the chance to try again after 5 years. Megan and Jackson are cute together, they have the chemistry you want all characters from books to have, but they also have recent pasts that have changed who they are. While they face the threat of Megan's stalker together, they also let the fire between them be rekindled, though they never put a name to it. I really liked Megan, she is determined and spunky, full of the fire that Jackson shared with her when they first met. Jackson is obviously handsome, incredibly caring, and scarred by the memories of the war. He broke my heart, several times, because it was obvious that he doesn't seem himself in the light that others do. Their connection brings out the best in him, but mentally he shuts it down repeatedly. It was so interesting to me that the nature of his career and his desire to protect Megan ultimately led to part of his downfall...as well as his turnaround to happily ever after.

Kiss Marry Kill is a new release that fans of suspenseful romances will not want to miss. It keep you on your toes as you read, but has all the heat of an erotic romance. Full of complex characters, descriptive situations, casual dialogue, and a second chance story line, Kiss Marry Kill is absolutely a novel I recommend to my fellow readers.

This was my first book by Sidney Halston and I loved it! Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect and there are so many books about former military guys going into the security business and falling for the woman that they are protected out there that it's hard to stand out but this one did!

This book centers around Megan who is a famous singer and Jax who started his own security company after being injured overseas while in the military. Jax and Megan met years ago and had a whirl wind 4 day affair but never spoke to each other again after Jax deployed. Years later Megan has a stalker and after he breaks into her place Jax steps up to protect her. The old feelings they had for each other resurface but both have changed and Jax feels like he needs to focus on Megan's safety and not his feelings about the girl he's always wished was still in his life.

This story has a few flashbacks (which I don't usually like) that worked really well. They added a lot to the characters and really showed how each character had changed from when they initially met but also highlighted the connection between the two. As mentioned I don't usually like flashbacks but these enhanced the story and added so much detail that the book wouldn't have been as good without them.

Jax and Megan were both wonderful characters and fit together perfectly. The characters were well developed and the romance was done flawlessly. On top of that the balance between suspense and romance was perfect. Both the relationship and the suspense had me turning the page as fast as I could read to see what would happen next. The pacing was excellent and the twist was although not altogether surprising was artfully done.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series and this is an author I've definitely added to my romantic suspense must buy list.

Loved the opening that led Jax to reconnect with Megan after many years apart. The flashbacks that tell the story of how they met and show us the differences between who they were then and who they are now. While I love an alpha, Jax was sometimes a bit annoying in his need to keep Megan safe, but overall I loved his protective nature. The plot was good, if a bit predictable, but I enjoyed it and am curious as to what the next book in the series will bring.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. It’s full of suspense, hot romance and fun. I loved Jax and Meg and can’t wait for more from this new series!

Jax and Megan met at a Marlin’s baseball game 5 years ago. Megan was at the game with her then boyfriend who was ignoring her time and time again. Jax was there, spending the day remember his time with his father on opening days past. So when the kiss cam hits Megan and her boyfriend ignores her… Jax decides to take matters into his own hands and kisses the girl. One kiss turns into 4 days of a last hurrah for both, as Megan is heading to law school and Jax is heading on a mission with the Marines. They spend 4 amazing days together and then part their separate ways, never to see or talk to each other.

Until 5 years later Jax sees Megan on the news and its the last thing he would have ever thought. She wasn’t a lawyer, like he imagined… but a rock star and she’s in danger. Jax rushes to the scene and immediately takes over. Although Megan is surprised to see the one man she thought she would never see again, she welcomes the old friend because for right now, he seems to be the only person she’s trusts and he’s taking over control.
Jax is all ALPHA and there are times you want to slap him and other times, climb him like a tree. Jax and Megan’s chemistry is off the charts, even after not seeing each other for 5 years. I loved that the book went back and forth between present and past, so you get the full effect of their friendship and how they met.
I really loved this book and love Sidney’s writing too. If you like Alpha Bad Boys – Jax is your man.

Great romantic suspense! The story features co-owner of Iron-Clad Security, Jackson "Jax" Irons and singer, Megan Cruz. These two have such a beautiful romantic past. It brought tears to my eyes to see them have to let go five years ago. Now she's in trouble and to be reunited after something so dramatic and traumatic is awful but the sparks are still there. Five years can really change a man, especially a man that has been to war and back.

Fabulous story line! Awesome, well developed characters! Sizzling romance with great suspense and a plot twist that will surprise you. I always look forward to reading the fantastic works of Sidney Halston.

Megan and Jax met at a baseball game five years ago. After stepping in when her jerk of boyfriend wouldn't kiss her on the kisscam, Megan and Jax have a whirlwind four days together before he deploys and she starts law school. Their fire burned hot but the timing was terrible so they parted ways and moved on with their lives. After those amazing four days, Megan decides to follow her dreams of being a pop star. Fast forward to the present and Jax is home but not the same man who was deployed. He experienced a lot of loss, was injured, and is a far cry from the carefree, happy man who left. When he sees on the news that Megan is in danger from a stalker, he knows that he has to do whatever he can to protect her. But the fire is still burning hot. Will he be able to protect her and resist the attraction that still exists?

I loved Jax and Megan. After those four days together, she gathered the courage to go after her dreams, not the dreams that were set by her family. And even after all of this time, she's still standing up for herself and her choices. I also loved how she used Jax's same methods to get her to loosen up when she met him after they reconnected. She knows that he's different but believes that the guy she knew is still there. Jax was the best: a loyal friend, a fierce protector, a loving man. He gave 100% to everything. They are perfect for each other. I'm loving the start of this series and I'm looking forward to what comes next for the Iron Clad crew

KISS MARRY KILL is the first installment in Sidney Halston’s contemporary, adult IRON CLAD SECURITY romantic, suspense series focusing on the men and women of Iron Clad Security. This is former Marine and owner of ICS Jackson ‘Jax’ Irons, and Grammy award winning singer Megan Cruz’s story line.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Megan and Jax) KISS MARRY KILL focuses on the rekindling relationship between singer Megan Cruz, and security specialist Jax Irons. Five years earlier Megan and Jax spent four days together that would change their lives: Jax headed off to his second tour of Iraq, and Megan walked away from a potential law career and into the spotlight of stardom and fame. Fast forward to present day wherein Megan Cruz finds herself the victim of a stalker, and Jax Irons offers up himself as her personal bodyguard and protector. What ensues is the rekindling romance between Megan and Jax, and the hunt for a potential killer whose threats against Megan are becoming more dangerous and personal.

Jax has struggled with pain and PTSD since the attack on his team left our hero fighting for his life. Losing 7 of his men meant Jax took it personally that not everyone came home alive and well. For five years Jax has never forgotten about the woman that called to his heart but reconnecting with Megan would mean facing the truth about what he left behind. Megan Cruz is a world famous star; an award winning singer whose star rose to fame shortly after meeting the man who pushed her to go after what it was she wanted. Four days together changed the direction of her life, and she has never looked back.

The relationship between Jax and Megan is one of second chances. Five years since they last spoke their reconnection is powerful and strong but Jax knows that to protect the woman he loves he must remain professional until her stalker is caught. The $ex scenes are intimate, intense and seductive without the over the top sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Jax’s former Marine buddy Joey and his sister Annie as well as security agents Jason and Ben-all of whom are employees of Iron Clad Security; Megan’s fellow band mates Taylor and Nelly; former band mate Tamara, as well as Megan’s mother attorney Rose Cruz. Annie’s story is next in Last First Kiss-August 2017.

KISS MARRY KILL is a story of romance and suspense; betrayal and revenge; second chances and falling in love. The premise is intoxicating; the characters are spirited and energetic; the romance is passionate, spicy and provocative. KISS MARRY KILL is an exciting and inspiring look at second chances and a happily ever after.

Kiss Marry Kill is a GREAT second chance and romantic suspense novel! I was literally hooked from the very first pages! Jax and Megan met years ago and shared a short but emotional time together. Now, they are face-to-face again, but all those feelings are still there. Jax has always held back because of losing others that were important to him, and now he means to protect Megan from a crazy, obsessed fan. However, he may not be able to protect his heart!

I was Megan’s fan from the very beginning. The opening of the book was a nail biter, and my heart went out to her. I could easily see why Jax felt the way he did about her. I love to see a character grow throughout a novel, and Megan certainly did that. But, Halston did it in a different way…I got to see Megan grow into an independent woman through her past, and I loved seeing the new Megan through Jax’s eyes. Jax is quite a complicated character. He appears to others as threatening, and he can be. But, with Megan, I got to see his vulnerable side. There’s nothing sexier than an alpha man who loves his woman but also has a sweet soul, and Jax definitely has a sweet soul…even if he just shows it to those he loves. I loved these two together, and they certainly deserved their HEA.

Sidney Halston became a favorite of mine as soon as I read her first book! Every book she writes is fantastic because she makes you remember her characters because she has a magical way of connecting me with each one. Megan and Jax were no different! I loved the added suspense in this book! It kept me up well into the night needing to finish the last page. Kiss Marry Kill is a great beginning to what promises to be a fantastic series! Can’t wait for the next one!!!!
