This is the final novel in the series that started with Seducing Cinderella. It centers around a group of friends, all prospective or current MMA fighters, finding their soul mates. This story is about Xander James, a Brit, and a local baker Sophie Caldwell, owner of Sophie's Sweet Shop.

Sophie is living her dream. She has taken over her Gram's shop and made it her own.
She is starting to have quite a following with her new innovative sweets, even some healthy ones. She is in the same block of stores where Xander runs a gym TLP2 ( The Lucky Pineapple 2). He manages the gym, trains clients and spends a lot of time training with his buddy Reid. Xander is hoping to break back into the UFC as a pro after a debilitating injury made him have to stop fighting for a while. His next fight is a semi-pro and he has to win it.
Xander runs by Sophie's shop often, and admires her tattoos, piercings and beautiful jade green hair. Not to mention the very sexy pull she seems to have for him.

Unfortunately Sophie's uncle, Richard, is looking to sell the whole block where these small businesses are located, for a mall. The only chance of Sophie keeping her home and store is to marry. After a series of really bad relationships, that seems unlikely. But Xander has other ideas. Why not, their friends, spend a lot of time working, and after six months they can divorce. So after a lot of discussion, off to Vegas they go. Living together is a lot more difficult then they thought. Sophie's shoe collection alone can take over the apartment. Xander is seriously in lust with Sophie, and she's having a lot of trouble fighting her feelings also. There is a lot of sizzling sexual tension in the air.

This novel is filled with friends, love and laughter. It's a lot of fun catching up with Jax and Vanessa, Aidan and Kat and of course Lucie and Reid. I hated to see this series end, but the epilogue is a beautiful send off, complete with champagne, to this delightful series.

I received this ARC from the publisher and author for an honest review.

You know it's weird. Sometimes certain situations will annoy the hell out of me in stories and at other times they won't even register on my radar. This is one of those times where I was turned off by the way the author presented the hero. First, we have a heroine that has watched OW coming and going from our hero's apartment ALL THE TIME. On top of that, we get to hear the hero thinking all about how he is attracted to the heroine and continued to fuck OW and picture it was her during the sex. Neither probably would have bothered me overly much except for the fact that there was NOTHING stopping him from asking the heroine out if as his inner thoughts suggested he was SOOOO into her! It just left me thinking this hero was a bit of a disgusting douche to be honest.

Now that I have gotten that off my chest I will say that I did end up really enjoying this one. The writing was great. The story moved along at a nice clip. The sex scenes were HOT. The secondary characters were great. Once Xander and Sophie got married they were both devoted to the other and watching their relationship develop was really sweet. There was a tiny bit of OW drama and a little bit of angst. The epilogue was super cute and if you have read the previous books (I have not and this stands up fine as a standalone) it will wrap up this series (I assume this is the last book) with a nice little HEA bow.

Loved this book! Sophie is a struggling baker whose uncle is literally pulling the rug underneath her feet by selling the building her bakery is in. Xander is a UFC fighter that has been fighting back from an injury to get back to UFC fights. They couldn't seem to have less in common, except Xander will also be displaced by Sophie's uncle's sale. Before long they form an unlikely partnership that suddenly feels very real.

I loved the chemistry between Sophie and Xander - I could practically feel my kindle igniting. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. Very sexy and engaging plot that kept me hooked until the very last page.

While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel. The author is on my must read authors' list.

I read Seducing Cinderella, the first book in there series, a couple of years ago. And although it wasn't my favorite I decided to give this series another chance and pick up Sweet Victory.

Unfortunately this one didn't really work for me either. I think the ONLY think that kept me reading the complete book was Xander- he was just amazing and the things that came out of his mouth kept me laugh.
