Another great book from Lauren Layne! I enjoy reading this story a lot. I laugh and cry with Georgiana (me too prefer her full name) and Andrew. Their cold war is amazing and the end is the best for all.
I recommend this book to everyone.
I received an ARC from Netgalley for a honest review. Thanks for the opportunity.

I don't think its even a surprise that I loved this book.Any book of LL's is an autobuy and instant favorite for me!
Georgie in this book was quite different from the usual heroines. In real life we might find women like these vapid, but the way the author has characterised her is so beautiful, you can't help but fall in love with her!She is a socialite and a heiress, but you can only party all day for so long before you start to feel empty. So she is a bit confused. And it doesn't help that the Andrew, the hot shot lawyer who stays in her building keeps looking at her as if he is judging her choices.

Andrew is the complete opposite of her.He gets up to go out when she comes home after partying in the morning. He is successful and looks like he has it all figured out.And the only thing they have in common is the hilarious, sarcastic arguments that they have with each other. Both of them look forward to the five minutes of trade of coated insults and barbs, but neither would ever admit it.

The way the relationship develops between them oh so slowly was really good!No matter where they were in their lives, both of them were missing something.Though they weren't ready for it or like Andrew-determined not to believe it, they still needed love. And I was so happy that they found it in each other!Though on the surface its funny, cute and romantic, this book did leave me thinking for a while as it touched me emotionally, just as LL's books always do!

Now I will have an LL book craving and looks like I'll have to wait till June for I Knew You Were Trouble!

Lauren Layne has once again delivered an amazing story that will make you laugh, melt your heart, break your heart, and then piece everything back together. It didn't take long for me to fall head over heels in love with the characters in this book. It all felt a bit fairytale like in the sense that I wanted so badly for the happily ever after to come and nobody to have been hurt, but of course there is always a little (or a lot) of heartbreak.

Andrew and Georgie meet nearly every morning. Neither really fond of the other, or at least that's what they think. There is a fine line between love and hate, and when these two figure out what side of the line they are on the pages instantly heat up. One secret stand to destroy everything. I was so invested in the story that at one point I wished I could climb through the pages and knock some sense into the characters.

Overall Walk of Shame was nothing short of what we have come to expect from Layne, what it was, was so much more. Even though there is enough heartache, this is one of those feel good, make you love love, kind of books. I will definitely be reading it again.

There are truly not enough adjectives to describe this book! Funny, sweet, sexy, touching, enchanting, colorful, frustrating, brilliant...I obviously could go on and on. The ultimate opposites attract couple; her the friendly, bubbly party girl versus him, the stoic, serious, stodgy divorce lawyer. Truly nothing in common on the surface but you root for them from page one.
I laughed, I wanted to punch them both, I cried, I wanted to hit Andrew, I wanted to shake Georgie...and I could Not. Put. It. Down. Not only is this my very favorite Lauren Layne book now (and that's saying something...sorry Lincoln!) but it's the best book I've read all year! This will be one of those stories that I read again and again...and again. Loved it :)

If you ever wondered what the young and beautiful look like, act like, or what their lives are like, I would suggest a Lauren Layne book. In Walk of Shame, Love Unexpectedly series, Georgianna Watkins and Andrew Mulroney collide with meteoric sparks! They are from two different worlds but are so perfect for one another. And WoS is a story about how they come together.

Georgie is an heiress who does that “walk of shame” every morning, right at the time that Andrew is starting his busy day. Andrew is a celebrity divorce attorney, one who works so very hard, has a genius IQ, and is from a working class family. These two literally spark, each and every time they meet.

Each has pre-conceived notions about the other, of course, and it isn’t until they let down their individual guarded walls that they can begin to explore the chemistry between them. I really liked these two. They both have hidden depths that they don’t seem to share with anyone, least of all each other. Georgie’s family is what you’d think they should be but I have a soft spot for her father. And Andrew has great love for his family – he just has trouble expressing that emotion. There are the requisite flighty friends, of course, but these two are just wonderful characters. I think the author nailed this story.

Loved this Sexy, Adorable, Charming and Fun Contemporary Romance. I always love the truly amazing ways that Lauren Layne tells a story and I think that this is her best story yet. When I started reading this I was completely engrossed in it. It was fresh, engaging, sexy, and fun. They are such great characters that I wanted to be friends and hang out with them. She is truly a fantastic story teller.
Georgianna Watkins was full of personality and charm. Teasing Andrew Mulroney Esquire is the highlight of her day and fuels her daydreams. Andrew Mulroney Esquire thinks Georgianna is ridiculous! He doesn't have time for women, but when he meets Georgie he is taken by the beautiful, sexy, party girl and just can't stay away from her.
The verbal sparing fly between these characters and explodes into electric chemistry that is sizzling. It was fun, playful and I could feel the want and need between the two. There were so many funny parts in this, I burst out laughing at times. There was a great balance of entertaining, sexy and emotions throughout.
Fantastic writing, story, characters, build and pace. All the feelings and connections pouring through me made my heart feel full and happy and it had me smiling, laughing, melting and swooning with every turn of the page.
Walk of Shame is an absolute delight and I can't wait for the next book from this fantastic author.

Talk about complete opposites! She's just walked in the door from partying all night when he's walking out the door to go to the gym before work. He's a super intelligent cynical divorce attorney & thinks she's an empty headed society party girl. They shouldn't be interested in each other at all, right?! So why do they both look forward to their encounters?

I loved this! Andrew acts like he looks down on Georgie when she shakes him up to the point he doesn't know how to talk to her! And that kiss!! Instant intense chemistry! I love that Georgie is strong & capable & gives it back as fast as Andrew can deliver it. The characters were wonderfully written with good & bad traits. The supporting characters added dimension to the story & underscored the differences between our couple. You won't want to miss this one!

I am a huge LL fan and love enemies to lovers stories so I couldn't wait for this book to be released.

Georgie is a socialite who parties all night but makes sure she's back in her building's lobby by 5 am to run into her stuffy neighbor, Andrew, just to get under his skin. Andrew is a divorce attorney who lives a super structured life but makes sure he's in his building's lobby by 5 am to run into his ridiculous neighbor, Georgianna, just to get under her skin. Georgie and Andrew are opposites in almost every way but their chemistry is off the charts and the banter they have is hilarious. A secret threatens to end their tenuous relationship before it even starts.

The only thing that I didn't like about this book was that while it's dual POV, Georgie's POV is in first person and Andrew's is in third person. It didn't, in any way, take away from the story but it did throw me off when the POV changed. Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. I loved the banter, Georgie's personality, and Andrew's commitment to his work and family. I never wanted their story end!

~5 + Stars~

Walk of Shame is an absolutely perfect romantic comedy! It has a storyline and characters that will truly warm your heart! Georgie Watkins and Andrew Mulroney are complete opposites from one another. Their first meeting is a testament to that. You would think that they would avoid each other like the plague, but Georgie finds herself getting up at the crack of dawn to see Andrew each morning in the lobby of their apartment building. Andrew finds himself looking forward these encounters. With each one, I could tell there was something magic there, hidden under the sarcasm and cutting remarks. What begins as harmless encounters develops into a romance that I won’t soon forget.

I can always count on Lauren Layne to come up with characters full of personality and quirkiness. Georgie is no exception. She comes across as a socialite who makes a living doing nothing except spending her family’s fortune. WOW, was I in for a shocker. She’s full of life and brings color and joy to those around her…yes, even the straight-laced Andrew. I love how she gets to know each person she comes into contact with, whether it’s the doorman of her apartment building or Andrew’s assistant. What’s not to love about Georgie?

Andrew is completely opposite of Georgie. He’s super intelligent, not that Georgie isn’t. He’s just crazy smart…graduating from college and law school early and becoming the youngest partner in his law firm. He’s a successful divorce attorney with high-powered clients, yet he doesn’t really have much in the social skills department, especially with women. When Georgie comes roaring into his life, all that will change. She brings out some of his best qualities, ones he didn’t even know he had.

The relationship between the two is a slow burn, but oh is it a good one! Sometimes the anticipation is as good as the deed itself, in this romance, it definitely is. Their chemistry is undeniable, and their sarcastic banter just adds to it.

Walk of Shame is one of those books I can see on the big screen as a blockbuster romantic comedy. It reminds me of You’ve Got Mail which is one of my all-time favorite movies. I can always count on Lauren Layne to give me a book that takes me away from reality for just a little bit. If you want a book that is the perfect mixture of sexy and sweet, sprinkled with humor and characters that will find a special place in your heart, you have to give Lauren Layne a try. Once you read one of her books, you’ll be hooked for life.

Lauren Layne is a favorite of mine because of books exactly like this one.

Georgianna "Georgie" and Andrew are opposites. She comes across as a little flighty, maybe a little self absorbed and shallow. And, Andrew comes across as cold. This is a story about people learning about the other, and then learning that those first impressions do not tell the whole story.

This is a slow burn, there are parts with amazing chemistry, there is a scene where Andrew is so cruel to Georgie that your heart breaks for her...and then for him when you realize he didn't mean it the way he said it. Not at all.

This book works because Lauren Layne's particular strength is writing the characters and then letting the characters lead you through the telling of the story. It's what makes you love the characters, and it is what makes you want to know what happens next to them. And, it is what makes a story like this one work, because it is about people, and about how perceptions of other can be right, and also about how they can lead you to think things that aren't true.

There is a little bit of a twist/hurdle in the middle of this one, and I think it was a little predictable...but at the same time, sometimes in a book an event is predictable because the author has laid the correct groundwork to lead up to it that when it happens, you are not at all surprised. This is what happens in this one, and the resolution of it really gives Andrew and Georgie a chance to shine as the new people they have become throughout the story.

At this point, I would read Lauren Layne's grocery list. But instead of that list, she keeps giving us books like this one. And, readers everywhere are better for it.

This is a standalone, so if you are reading this review and have never read her work, start here. You won't be disappointed.

I recommend this book.

Party girl, Georgianna "Georgie" Watkins has a wonderful life. She is a pampered heiress, especially since her grandma left her a nice trust fund, and has never had to work a day in her life. She is also an only child with two very well off parents. The most Georgie has to ever worry about is what to buy when she goes shopping or which fundraiser she should be helping out at. While this may sound like a great, her dating life is anything but. It's always the same type of rich, cocky guys which completely bore Georgie. Now, the guy who lives in 79B in her apartment building whom she sees every morning at 5:00 am when she is just getting in from a night of partying does pique her interest.

Andrew Mulroney is a very successful divorce attorney and likes his routine life. Out the door every day at 5:00 am to work out at the gym, then off to the office where he spends most of his time, then back home to start the routine all over. What he doesn't like is the bubbly Georgie, or Georgianna as he prefers to call her....or does he?

While these two may be polar opposites, they are just drawn to each other. Georgie purposely comes home every morning just before 5:00 am with a dozen donuts for the doormen, just waiting for Andrew to show up. Andrew secretly enjoys sparring with Georgie every morning, although he'd never admit it. The conversations between these two are perfect, laugh out loud awesomeness! Then finally one day the sparring turns to an earth shattering kiss...which just happens to get photographed by the paparazzi and their world explodes!

I really loved these characters. They were both so fun and entertaining. I really enjoyed how they balanced each other out so well. While Georgie is outgoing and friendly, Andrew is quiet and reserved. I just adored this story line and couldn't put this book down...it was THAT fun! So if you are looking for two great characters and a wonderful, laugh out loud, swooning story....I highly recommend giving this book a try!

This is Lauren Layne's most adorable book. It's a love song from a romance writer to all romance readers. It was a feel-good book with lovable characters. This is definitely a book I'd go back to for comfort.

Lauren Layne knows a lot about writing books that will grab your attention, have you smiling and swooning in equal measure. I found it such a great way for our hero and heroine get their relationship started, i mean they are total opposites in many ways but sometimes i find that is when the spark burns brightest in a book. The banter between Andrew and Georgie was off the scale and it lead to some very amusing exchanges and great to see the fire getting lit under them for their relationship to begin. This book was an excellent read, it has not knocked my fave Lauren Layne book off my tops spot of her work, but it comes very close to it

Georgianna Watkins is living the life with societal obligations as her primary focus thanks to being born to money. Though the constant partying has started to become mundane, she finds she enjoys arriving in the lobby of her apartment building every morning just as the stuffy suit is leaving to begin his daily routine. She strives to find new ways to get under his skin.

Andrew Mulroney is as dependable as they come. His life is all about routine and little Miss Socialite interferes with that. Truth be told, he enjoys their daily interactions and seeing how far he can push her away.

I loved this story so much I devoured it within a day's time. The banter between the main characters was entertaining and their chemistry was combustible. The story is mostly told from Georgie's perspective though there is a little of Andrew's mixed in. The story had a good flow and the characters were multi-dimensional. I loved how the author made Georgie relateable and Andrew redeemable. There were moments I found myself laughing out loud as I was immersed in the story.

This is the first I've read of this author and will most certainly check out her other works. I would highly recommend this book to a friend.

This is my favorite book by Lauren Layne to date. I can even say it's my favorite so far for 2017.

Georgie is perfectly ridiculous in so many ways. She is the friend everyone wants to have and be around. I fell in love with her character instantly. I love that she is such a sweet and kind person but strong and has that "won't let anyone walk all over her" attitude. She's so much fun and am happy the she tries to break through Andrew's walls.

Andrew's a high-profile celebrity divorce attorney. He knows marriage is not for him especially when he sees the hurt that divorces cause. But his neighbor's timing is in sync with his routine. She has a life and spirit that is completely opposite of his. Now he's looking forward to running into her every morning and when they finally kiss, that's it.

The teasing between this couple kept me just as anxious for them to hook up. I could not put this down for even a minute. I had to know where these two would end up.

Lauren Layne's writing just gets better and better. Grab a glass of wine and relax as you enter the world of Georgie and Andrew.
