A great collection of the greatest mystery and thriller authors currently around. This book gives a great taste of all these great authors and makes you hungry for more

This was quite the collaboration, with some of my favorite authors! I loved the stories included and I found a few authors I had never read before that I'm definitely interested in trying out. I only wish I didn't take 5 years to read it lol

Each entry in the anthology had its own style to it, which is great, and each matching seemed perfect.

Highly recommend!

This was a fun book to read. I liked some stories. I didn't like some of the stories. The match-up of authors was interesting. Some worked. Others - not so much. Overall I'm not used to reading sure short bits. I was frustrated and disappointed. You are probably asking yourself "what did she expect?" and you are correct. I'm not the right demographic for this book. Shame on me for requesting it. But it is a quick read, great for those times when you are waiting in the carpool lane or soccer practice to end.
Thanks, #netgalley for this ARC which I received in exchange for my opinion, which is my own.

Couldn’t get into some of the stories. I asked for it because of Sandra brown but didn’t read all of it

This was such a fun book, with stories from some authors that I have read, and other authors who I didn't previously know about but who I will now seek out! This was the perfect read for when I had a lot of interruptions, since the stories were short yet very interesting.

I loved some of these short stories. There are some well-known authors among these 22 and some truly original ideas. Great collaboration.

This unique collection edited by Lee Child offers us stories starring the protagonists of novels written by famous and renowned female authors such as Charlaine Harris, Diana Gabaldon, Kathy Reichs and Sandra Brown who are paired with the protagonists of thrillers written by male authors such as Christopher Rice, Lee Child and Nelson DeMille, among others.
The result? A magnificent and highly recommended collection of thrillers that touches the limits of the famous war of the sexes and that will make it almost impossible to do anything other than read until the book is finished.

Each of the stories in this book was really well done. Whoever paired these authors together fro this thought experiment did a great job! Seeing the greatest women and men of thriller written get together to work on stories was amazing, this needs to be done with the great in every genre!

This anthology of mystery stories has an entertaining conceit...what would it be like to match up authors and their detectives in a story?  Answer...a good idea.  So, in this collection there are pairing of, for example, Val McDermid and Peter James; or Kathy Reichs and Lee Child.  Read their stories to see how the detectives come together.  Also readers will enjoy the introduction to each story in which they learn a bit about the writers.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this fun story collection in exchange for an honest review.

I love the premise of this books and others by the International Thriller Writers. Instead of charging dues to be a part of the group they wrote books and the proceeds provide their funding!

This book is a great way to get a taste of different thriller writers or see some of your favorite characters on an adventure together. Like most anthologies some stories worked better than others but overall highly enjoyable.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book.

As would be expected some stories were more engaging than other some of the other stories. It was interesting to see how each pair of authors engaged rack others character. Most were unique and fun to learn about while some were lacking in character building that would have strengthened the story's plot. Overall entertaining to read and especially fun to read some stories by authors I would not have learned about.

A collection of short crime thrillers from a host of well known authors of this genre. My favourite being Lee Child's Reacher match up with Kathy Reich's Temperence Brennan.

Twenty two of the world's most popular thriller writers come together in this wonderful anthology. Edited by famed author Lee Chil,, we're taken on a whirlwind journey of the best of the best: Charlaine Harris, John Sandford, Lisa Jackson, Andrew Gross and more. Definitely a book to keep and re-read. This makes a wonderful gift for the thriller readers on your list.

This has been on my "to read" list for quite a long time. Most of the authors I'd already read before and absolutely loved. I was hoping to discover new authors and I was certainly not disappointed.

Got this in exchange for an honest review.
Loved this book. I was waiting for it to be published mainly for the story by Diana Gabaldon and Steve Berry, titled Past Prologue. The one I liked the least was Footloose. The other stories are great collaborations by great authors.

Great pairings allowing for riveting plots, unexpected twists and, above all, entertaining action all through.

Well, I read the previous volume from this series, FaceOff, and really enjoyed it. I got exposed to some authors that I hadn't read before and enjoyed great pairings of fictional characters. This one is even better - way better. This time, male and female characters are paired and the connections between them can be quite challenging, but really work well. Of course, I had to read the Jack Reacher/Temperance Brennan story first, since they are two of my favorite fictional characters. That story was great, but then as I worked my way through the rest of the stories I got to meet many characters that were new to me, and that were put into intriguing situations. If you like thrillers at all, then I have a hunch you'll love this book. I am supposed to mention that I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review

Love these books, FaceUp and now MatchUp. It's a win win situation, if it's 2 authors you read it's great and if it's an author you read and a new author, you probably have just found a new author you will want to start reading.

This book was not my cup of tea. I thought I would enjoy the mash up thing, but the stories were not that interesting and really short.

A really fun read. You get to sample a bunch of different authors’ styles and characters. While I didn’t love every story, it was a treat to get so many different perspectives on writing in the thriller genre in such a dense book. I always enjoy the short story format, and it’s fun to see which authors can really pull it off.
