This book is just a beautiful book on mothering and motherhood. So encouraging and well written! I enjoyed this one tremendously.

This book is a wake up call for all the mothers that are raising children in this wicked world. The book offers great tips on how to use Gods Word in the process of raising children for heaven. The author offers courage and hope through God to live the life we were created for and not let fear overwhelm us! I wish that this book could be translated in as many languages as possible so that godly mothers would raise children that would impact the next generation.

“This book is about awakening mother, the silent warriors.” -Deven Wallace

While this book was a little bit too preachy for me as an agnostic, I will do my best to remain neutral in my review.

Wallace created an inspiration book for Christian women who can at times feel overwhelmed by daily chores and put their faith secondary in order to maintain the daily needs of a family. In The Warrior We Call Mom, Wallace urges mothers not to underestimate their value. She explains that God decided to create you before there were dishes to wash and without the fire of the mother the family sits in the darkness.

She explains the relationship of Archer and Arrow (comparing the Archer to the parent and the Arrow to the child) is a one of guidance and training and that the greatest weapons are prayer and radical obedience. Wallace backs up her statements with Proverbs and Psalms from the Bible.

I would recommend this book to mothers that are raising children according to the Christian faith. It is a great inspirational resource with practical advice and real life examples.

I was not a fan of this book because the author was insensitive about taking medication for depression, anxiety etc. It made me feel guilty and not in a good way!
