This is your typical guilty pleasure read. I read it in one sitting with a mug of tea and my cat curled by my side. Wouldn't read it again, but I look forward to more from this author.
Holy cow this book was good. While the sex was beyond hot, I could not help the tears that would come when Pierre was murdered and then all the things going on with poor Jaycee.
A good short read but very fast paced. Very hot and packed with action. Its just the first part in a much bigger story line
I honestly had no idea what the main plot of this book was. Trinity caught my attention with another book of hers that I feel for but unfortunately this series just didn't do anything to keep my interested.
The story was not at all interesting for me. I was unable to enjoy the book at all.
Edited and republished, "Escaped" is a werewolf BDSM book that focuses on Jaycee and her three Alpha partners, Remi, Dane and Mark. There were so many characters at first, it was a bit hard to keep them all straight. I did like that Jaycee was a feisty Alpha female and could hold her own with her mates.Throughout this first book there is so much going on with background story that it got a bit complicated. For those that love a paranormal werewolf story with a lot of sex and multiple partners, this is a series they will love. The cliffhanger is a bit heartbreaking and soothing at the same time for Jaycee. I am a very vocal person on cliffhangers, especially when it is not disclosed. As it is only fair to let the buyer know what they are buying, I subtract a star when it isn't. The story is dark and full of hot sexy werewolves, so if this is your genre, then I would recommend picking this one up. I would like to thank NetGalley and publisher for gifting me "Escaped". My opinion is my own. 2.5 to 3 Stars!
There is a short novella that will take place in the middle of this one from Remi's p.o.v. should read that. Also this is part one of a 3 part series with these 4 characters.
Addicting. Emotional. won't let you go until you finish this part of 3 part series. Jaycee has been in the run her while life from her unloving mother, her rapist stepfather and his cronies, James the tortured man claimed to be her husband but wasnt. And all she wanted was her father to save her, if he was alive. She found her mate in Dane when she was little but he was with another and didn't see not know about her. Years later Jaycee escaped James but close to dying. Weeks of rest and healing will be the only time Jaycee will be free, until she is healed enough and Dane is in her sights but instead of a gentle lover he is very aggressive with her and her feelings. Now being in his brother Mark and his best friend for years and served in Iraq, Pierre. Jaycee will have more on her emotional plate with 3 aggressive mates, not one but 2 groups of people after her for either blood or her body. A long lost father that left her in her 'caring mother's care', and became some hotshot big-time alpha that has found his true mate and fathered a son.
Can Jaycee have the life she always wanted with her mates and get to reconnect her father that always loved her and his family or will her life be counted down by the days????
Copy was voluntarily exchange on Netgalley.com
Warning--------- there is A. Lot of sex, every page or two it's sex, rather gentle or close to talk g her against her will.
This is Book 1 in the Running in Fear Series. We meet Jaycee and her mates, Dane, Mark and Pierre. This is a really good book full of alpha maleswho need their butts kicked big time! They are all strong characters and Jaycee is the strongest of them all. There’s a lot happening in this book, some is good, some is wrong and one is so sad. Be sure to have some Kleenex handy when you are reading it. Also keep a glass of ice water close by cause it has some really hot sex scenes throughout the whole book. Now on to Book 2! I received a copy from Netgalley for an honest review.
while the characters where interesting, this one just didn't quite work for. i didn't realize that the story for their relationship didn't come to a final conclusion in this book but continued in subsequent books till issues found it's satisfying conclusion. plus just a few to many character crisis cross relationships for me that it felt confusing and tended to pull me from the story.
This started disjointed and never really pulled out of the random spiral. The main characters never seem connected although they jumped straight in love and sex.
Smoking Hot series
This series is riveting... I can't wait for more from Ms Blacio... This series has everything you could want from a erotic romance series and more... Smoking hot shifters, great sex scenes, suspence, killer action, and heart warming romance...
This story was fast moving. I couldn't put it down. It was Jaycee's story. She has been running since she was 16. She was sexually abused by her stepfather. She is the daughter of a powerful alpha wolf. This is the story of how she and her mates get together. It has a lot of graphic sex scenes and violence. I can't wait for the next book in the series. Trinity Blacio doesn't disappoint.
I received a free copy from NetGalley; this is my honest review.
I had to read the book twice to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I wasn't: this book leaves us with a huge cliffhanger and I wasn't prepared for it. Getting halfway through the story I understood the title: the heroine kept escaping her mates, thinking she could do better and they are never there to protect her anyways. I have read many of Blacio's books and enjoyed them all without exception. This is the first time I give a 3 stars. There is a lot of sex in this book but it's not loving sex; it's demanding and forcing; it's exciting but there are no emotions attached to the act and it shows. Jaycee didn't appeal to me like other strong-willed women. She was more of a drama queen, even with what she went through. We all know we deal differently with the same stress but she just went overboard to me. Remi seemed a better man in the prequel. It's too bad, it had potential.
Escaped by trinity blacio.
Jaycee Manz, who has been on the run since her sixteenth birthday. After growing up fast and depending on no one, how is Jaycee supposed to handle three male werewolves who claim to be her mates? Can she learn to trust them or will she continue to run?
Her mates are all passionate, strong shifters, and they are all determined to protect her, regardless of what she wants for herself. Together, all four try to find peace and love, as the most powerful alphas in the U.S.—Remi, Dane and Mark—declare war on anyone who stands in their way of claiming their runaway mate. But can the independent Jaycee be claimed?
Fantastic read with brilliant characters. I loved the story although I wanted to badly slap jaycee mates. I have read a few of trinity books and have loved all of them. Can't wait to read more. This is a must read and I would highly recommend this book. 5*. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book from netgalley.
This book leaves me with mixed feelings. The story keeps you attentive, but the some of the characters leave you feeling dark and broody. Jaycee's life has been one horror after the other but she keeps fighting on. It shows she is a strong woman. The men in her life leave me feeling aggravated and not liking them much most of the time. Her father abandons her to go on a mission and she doesn't hear back from him until things really start to get bad for her (I'm not sure how long he was gone, but she has been on the run since she was 15). He has an entirely new family and claims he thought her mother would protect her from the danger of her stepfather (who he was investigating). I am not sure of the timeline for when her mother married the guy and when her father left, but unless her mother changed drastically how could he have thought this. Jaycee lets him off the hook way too easily about the situation. At times he seems to be protective of her and at others he's backing her men up even when they have been in the wrong.
Her mates are another story entirely. She is the alpha of the pack but they don't back her up and allow others to disrespect her. They are disrespectful as well. Towards the end of the story they are barely speaking to her and making her feel horrible. I know this is a multi-book storyline and hope that in the next book they get it together because right now they just seem like insensitive jerks.
