Good opposites attract story. I already love all the Naked Men, but I love getting more of the ACS story from the different points of view.
The latest in the “Naked Men” series by Christi Barth sees federal agent Riley Ness meeting his match. Organised, prepared and ever reliable Riley has got a bit of a reputation amongst the other ACS buddies. A workaholic who drops everything for his job at the National Transportation Safety Board, it is his way of atoning for the guilt he feels. The accident that claimed the coach driver’s life ten years ago could have been prevented and is the driving force behind Riley’s existence.
Summer Sheridan is the very antithesis of everything that he believes it. She lives for the moment, takes risks and doesn’t plan for a future that may not be out there. A survivor of a school shooting, Summer relishes life and everything about Riley winds her up. From his staid blue suits, inability to jaywalk and his Swiss army knife attitude, she finds herself sniping at him whenever the group gets together.
As this is the fourth book in the series we’ve got to know the bunch of friends pretty well. It is a tried and tested formula that works well for the premise of the story. Although this is Riley and Summer’s story you do get the interaction with the other friends as their relationships progress as well. Like the other books in this series it does get quite hot and heavy so is not recommended for younger readers or those of a sensitive disposition.

I always enjoy my visits with The Naked Men! :) With the fourth book in this series, we get Riley Ness' story. He's super serious and rigid, but we get the story behind why he is the way he is, and we also get to see him lighten up a bit as love comes into his life. The characters are always great and we get to enjoy the guys and couples from the previous books. This one drifted away from the blog/podcast a lot though, so that was a little bit of a different aspect from this series. I wanted more time to enjoy them as a couple once they got together, but overall, a fun addition to the series!
Riley Ness is the serious one of the bunch! He plans his life rigidly and always watches out for everyone else. He lets down his guard with his buddies, but he doesn't live dangerously. That's why Summer Sheridan and her fly by night attitude drives him up the wall!
Summer's best friend Chloe is all but engaged to be married to Riley's best friend Griff, so they are thrown together a lot in social situations. The gang has gotten used to hearing them banter and complain about each other. When they decide they need to try getting along better for Chloe and Griff's sake, they realize they actually have a hot attraction for each other! Will hearing about each other's life stories and knowing the reasoning behind their different ways of life help them understand the other or will it just be one more thing they fight about?
This is a great book; this is the fourth book in the Naked Men series written by Christi Barth. The only time Riley lets loose is when he’s hanging out with his closest pals. So when he’s thrown together with gorgeous, flighty Summer Sheridan, Riley’s brain tells him she’s a ticking time bomb but his body doesn’t want to play by the rules. Riley has to be the most irritating man Summer has ever met. The brooding hunk thinks he needs to teach her a few lessons about real life, while she’d rather show him how to enjoy it. But her BFF’s all but engaged to Riley’s best friend, and besides, their intense physical chemistry is all too real. Summer just needs Riley to try to meet her halfway and take a chance with the one thing that matters: his heart. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
Tragedy changes each of us in different ways, often ways we can't even foresee. In this book, both Naked Man Riley and Summer have endured a life threatening event that shapes their life. Riley is the ultimate planner and safety guy, rigid in his precautions to prevent another. Summer has cheated death and lives each day like there's no tomorrow, trying every flavor, especially in men-- just not the same one long enough to develop a relationship or feelings. But, since Summer's BFF and Riley's fellow Naked Man bud ate serious, they can't avoid each other. What starts ad sniping and put downs take a turn when they chemistry heats to just shy of supernova and a quick romp isn't enough.
Enjoyed this one, but it didn't trip my meter emotionally the way Giving It All did but it sure had plenty of scorching encounters.
This is the firth book in this series by this author. This is a stand alone contemporary romance story. Another fantastic story from this author. Amazing characters, you just fall in love with as you read. This story will definitely pull at your heart strings. The chemistry between the characters was hot. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended

Christi Barth and her Naked Man Series are some of the best written and most captivating and unforgettable books that I've read. I have loved everything about this series from the interesting, in depth, complicated, characters and their interactions, their amazing strong connection and their real life issues that they deal with together. Each of these books can be read as a stand alone romance, but reading them as a series adds so much more to the reading experience. They become a fantastic masterpiece, as you feel like they are part of your world.
I couldn't wait to read Riley and Summers story, and I was not disappointed. Every single second of this story was just so incredibly entertaining, as well as captivating and I had so much fun reading it. I was smiling and laughing and loved getting to know more about Riley and seeing Summer pull him so far out of his comfort zone. Their chemistry sizzled. I loved their playfulness and that building heat between them. As well as the zest for life and joy that Summer brings to Rileys world and watching them work through their issues. These two rocked each other's world. This was special. Loved it! Highly Recommended!

I received an ARC through NetGalley and voluntarily wrote an honest review.
Oh my, I couldn't wait for Riley's book and the wait was well worth it! I have enjoyed each of the prior books in the Naked Men series, but Summer & Riley have so much in each of their past to overcome to realize the love they feel for one another! Riley was like the old saying the Mighty have fallen! He was so regimented in everything until Summer started removing some of that restraint and caution! Each of these characters are so well developed. I enjoy having the other characters be a central part of the other books. It's like visiting with old friends. You can't go wrong reading any of these books by Christi Barth, but I hope you enjoy Riley's as much as I did. I hated to see it end. Now I look forward to Josh......

Trying it All is the fourth book in Ms Barth’s series titled, Naked Men. Though it’s a stand alone, the reader would benefit in reading the previous stories to appreciate the bond of these men who have been “blood brothers” since their teens and whose bond was sealed when they experienced a horrific accident while representing America in Italy,.
In this one, our main characters are Riley, and Summer. Riley isa NTSB agent who is straight laced, by the book, overly prepared individual . Summer is his total opposite , or so we think . But her attitude today also stems from a devastating experience during her college years. Somehow, when they kiss, their opinions of each other changes. More so after an experience they have together.
All that said, as much as I enjoyed the previous three books, I was disappointed in this one. I found myself skipping pages wondering when it would get better. I was more interested in the secondary characters, most of whom we have met in the other books.
The Naked Men are back with careful, always prepared, Riley meeting his match with Summer, a smart, sexy yet risk taking best friend of Chloe, Knox's love. A delightful romp.
Riley and his childhood friends were involved in a tragic accident when they were young and that has shaped the way they face life. Riley likes to plan everything making sure he's got all the possibilities covered. Summer is a spontaneous live in the moment woman so she and Riley don't get along well. Their bickering is effecting their friends so they agree to a truce. Once they start really listening to each other they find that they have a lot in common. Enjoyable romance!
On the surface, this looks like an opposites attract story but as Riley and Summer get to know each, and we get to know them, it is revealed that they are more alike than either of them realize.
Riley is one of the ACSs, a group of men who survived a near fatal accident in the mountains of Italy ten years ago. Each one of the men in this group was impacted in a different way. Riley learned that he always needs to be prepared and thinks of all of the possible outcomes of every situation that he may be in. He's a super uptight Type A and tries to control everything around him. Summer survived a mass shooting on her college campus and, after nearly losing her life, has lived as if today may be the last day she has so she must live life to the fullest. Whenever Riley and Summer are together, they do nothing but fight and snipe at each other but there's a thin line between love and hate so once they cross the line, their chemistry is explosive. The differences between them seem to fade away the more they learn about each but, as with any person who has experienced the type of traumas they have, the baggage can get in the way.
I loved Summer and Riley. They're both hilarious and care more about the people around them than anything else in the world. Even though they seemed like opposites in the beginning, I loved learning all of the ways they are similar and perfect for each other. This is only the second of this series that I have read so I *need* to go back and read the first two. I love so much about this group and I can't wait to see where the series goes next.

Loving this series. Riley and Summer are complete opposites, Riley is all about order and Summer wants to live life to the fullest. Even though they find each other annoying they can’t deny the attraction they share. This is a fast-paced fun and entertaining read. I really liked it.
This is the fourth book in the Naked Men series, however, this can be read on a stand alone basis.
What I am really loving about this series, is that there is a certain maturity to the characters that as an older person, I really enjoy reading. Riley and Summer have a clear dislike for each other which of course develops into a steamy love affair. I really like how there is no game playing but they have an honest relationship with each other that we really get to see develop emotionally but they have great chemistry also.
Once again, the relationship between the ACS guys really provide a depth to these stories; their deep seated love and friendship with each other really comes across and is lovely to read and not forgetting their banter brings a fun and light element to the story.
Overall, I enjoyed this story - 3.5 stars
Trying It All
Naked Men #4
Christi Barth
“In the four months I’ve known him, he’s made it clear that I annoy him, and vice versa. The man’s wound tighter than a champagne cork. And he’s got a stick so far up his ass that he probably sneezes wood shavings.”
This is a story about opposites that attract. Riley and Summer are on the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to how they live their lives. After tragedy in both their pasts, Riley is a planner and plans for everything that could go wrong. He never wants to be stuck in an unsafe situation again. Summer on the other hand lives life to the fullest. She is spontaneous and a risk taker. She never plans for anything, including rain that could ruin her Jimmy Choos.
"Riley’s kisses were swoon-worthy."
“It was hot. It was the kind of a kiss a woman only hopes to get maybe once in her life. And when you do get it, it’s all you want. That kiss was a gateway drug to Riley. Now I want him.”
But there's a lot of attraction between Riley and Summer. And no matter how much they try to stay apart, chemistry pulls them together.
"You turn yourself inside out planning against every possible thing that could go wrong. She just assumes that they all could go wrong and marches onward. It’s such a horrible match that it works.”
Now they just have to determine whether there's a way to make them work with them being complete opposites. And whether it's worth the try.
This was a great read. Something easy to sit by the pool or lay out at the beach and read. I have enjoyed this series and can't wait to see what Mrs. Barth has in store for Josh in the next book.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
Riley and Summer are a fantastic couple. I just adore this Naked Men series. All the guys and girls have their own passions and strengths and never loose themselves while finding new discoveries. Riley and Summer do not particularly like one another. Riley is very structured with his life and everyone involved in his life. Summer is the exact opposite. Fly by the pants sort of girl. Riley drives her crazy being so uptight and never letting loose and Summer drives Riley crazy being so reckless. But one dare changes everything for them. They both grow during this book. And it's wonderful to watch them transfer. This story is a perfect romance novel. As usual, the writing flawless and smooth flowing. Please give this series a try. You will not be disappointed.
This is the fourth book in the Naked Men Series and while they are stand alone, I would recommend reading the others so you have a background on the friends stories because you see them again in each book. That is one of the reasons I like this series so much...I enjoy catching up with past couples. I have read each of the books in this series and I think this one is my favorite so far. Riley is an intense sort of guy....the boy scout who is always prepared for the worst case scenario. He plans for every situation. Summer is his direct opposite, a free spirit who lives by the seat of her pants. Both have endured tragic events in their lives and they deal with them in opposite manners. They shouldn't be perfect for each other...but they are. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend this series.
I freakin love this series! Love my Naked Men! I am especially excited for the next book. All of the men are quite the charmers and they all deserve a bit of happiness.
There is something about an enemies to lovers / opposites attract story that I really enjoy, I think it's the passion behind it all. If you have read any of the Naked Men series you know Riley is the straight laced NTSB agent and Summer is Chloe's (Risking It All, Naked Men #1) best friend and owner of a clothing boutique. These two are as opposite as you can get, Riley is by the book and plans ahead for EVERYTHING while Summer is carefree and very spontaneous, she lives life as it's her last day and makes no excuses for it.
After hearing both of their back stories I can see why they are the people they are and it makes so much sense that they are perfect together because they definitely balance one another out. Summer is the Yin to Riley's Yang, Opposites that come together to form an intricate relationship that entwines the two without loosing themselves. Their relationship not only moves from enemies to lovers but also to friends and that for me is what makes a lasting relationship. The two of them will be a solid force together, one that I look forward to seeing grow during the next book in the series.
This has been a fun series to read, it's amazing how one event during their teenage years has formed not only the future of these five men but also the way it has brought them close enough to be brothers and not just friends. The next one to get his story will be Josh and I really hope that his HEA is with Annabeth.
I really enjoy this series, her characters are so great and their mix together is always fun! Great read! Both Riley and Summer survived life altering events, but each took comforting in their lives very different, mixing like oil and water but lust is winning them over.
