Michael Horton's For Calvinism is a clear presentation of theological system of ideas that is coherent, yet not without critics. This book is best read in tandem with Roger Olson's Against Calvinism. Horton helpfully explains what Calvinists believe, making his case from Scripture and adding insight from theologians throughout history. I found this book illuminating, and finished with a better and more charitable understanding of what Calvinists believe, and why.
